Light and Dark.
Athena and Hades had come to an agreement after all. Their mistakes shouldn't have been paid by those who had faithfully served them and then, they worked together and gave them their lives back. The men had been getting accustomed to their new way of living little by little, and things, someone might say had started to fall into place. Many of the saints had begun to work for the Kido Foundation, pursuing a desire of having a normal life. After all, a new era of peace had also begun and the possibility of living an ordinary life was at hand. Many others had decided to stay in Sanctuary, determined to maintain the old traditions alive and of course, saving a place for those who had left.
All this was in Kanon's head as he prepared that evening's meal. The steak in the oven was almost ready. Its sweet smell, more fragrant because of the orange sauce, made it a delicacy Kanon had just learnt how to prepare.
Rhadamanthys would arrive at any time. Remaining in France had been a good idea, he thought; and the two former foes had become a family after just a few months dating. The old grudges had been forgiven and forgotten and their new life together, along with their new jobs and their lifestyle was enough for the two of them. They had even talked about getting a pet, though the truth was they had not decided whether to get a dog or a cat, for each of them liked one animal, but not the other.
The former warrior heard the flat's door opening and closing. He could even see him in his mind, Wyvern's image leaving his coat on the clothes stand, his shoes scattered around—next to his, he was sure—and his footstep leading him to the kitchen.
“Did not think I was going to find you home yet.”
Kanon smiled at him and signalled him to come near and kiss him, for he was still chopping up some vegetables. “They did not need me there, so I could leave early.” The man answered to the kiss, and watched Rhadamanthys walking to one of the kitchen cupboards looking for some scotch to drink. He washed his hands after pouring the vegetables into the salad bowl and went to the refrigerator to get some ice for the other man.
“Smells good.” Rhadamanthys pointed at the food, and Kanon smiled, “Where's Renee? I thought she'd help us with the house work, right?”
“I told her to go home, that I wanted to take care of us tonight.” Kanon responded, moving back to the food he was preparing.
“There was a rumour at work today,” Rhadamanthys began to say, while sitting on the small dining table in the place, “people have said Athena and Hades are coming to France to check on the new branch we've opened here—” the man stopped when he heard the knife falling in the sink, and saw Kanon turning to look at him.
“Kanon, what is it?”
“If Athena is coming, then it means my brother is coming as well…after all, she chose him as part of her personal guard…” he responded, making Rhadamanthys feel uneasy. He knew, after many conversations that it had not been something easy for Kanon to face his brother. His lover, had told him about their fight during Hades' attack on Sanctuary, how he had faced the first owner of the Gemini Armour among them. Wyvern felt something strange about the whole situation, for it had been Kanon who had brought the armour to the Tartarus, so that Saga could fight against them and destroy the sacred wall. Moreover, they had been reborn together. Rumours had spread that the twins had been born together once again. They were holding each other as if afraid of losing one another one more time. Yet, Kanon had one day departed to France , so as to work on Julian Solo's companies in the area and one day he had found himself there as well, working for Saori Kido under Shun's orders.
“I'll help you serve the dinner, ok?” he said, walking to where Kanon was, knowing it was not going to be of much help anyways. After all, just such a silly comment had ruined the mood and Kanon was in visible distress.
Dinner had begun and it had ended soon. To Rhadamanthys, that Kanon felt such distress was something not only unexpected but also disturbing. Was there anything hidden between the brothers? Or was it that Kanon feared to tell Saga about them?
“Wanna talk?” The blond man said, holding Kanon's hand, leaving the spoon next to his plate.
“Rhadamanthys…I…”
“You better start talking to me Kanon or I'll lose it.” The man responded, trying to be as calm as the situation would allow it. “My feelings for you are real and I've promised you to be by your side forever, but I can't let you push me away from you…” he said it this time, a bit more upset, “look at you, how long has it been since I told you the news? Fifteen minutes? And you're acting as if you're afraid of something! As if I were not even here!” the man threw the serviette on the table.
“Don't get angry…please…” Kanon said. There were no words for him to explain himself, but he knew he had to do it , one way or the other, and he had to trust his partner, whether he was ready to do it or not. “It's not easy for me to talk about my brother. We were rivals in many ways. He was chosen over me because he was enough for Athena while I was not. We've been so close because we're twins, and yet, we're so afar from each other, it makes me wonder what's this going to be like when he comes.”
Rhadamanthys stared at him, observing the way he was expressing himself, as painful as he thought that might have been. He had been there, although the goddess he had longed for was not Athena, but Pandora. His fears, he had once felt them. He, who was brotherless had found a family in Hades and had felt so close yet so distant to the others, that the thought of it made his heart ache.
“…I don't need you, nor do I want you to come to my aid, for it's not necessary…I'm not a girl, you know? I can handle things, but I also have to come to terms with some of them.”
“I know you're no girl, Kanon…that's exactly why I'm with you,” he grinned when saying the words, “Only my equal would do the things you do to me…or would let me do them. What I feel for you, Kanon…I've never felt it before, and I just wished I could be there for you in moments like this.”
“And you are, my love.” Kanon said, standing and then straddling on Rhadamanthys, to kiss him deeply afterwards.
“But…I still need to ask…” Rhadamanthys said, stopping the other, taking him by his face and making him look directly in the eye, “What happened between you and your brother, Kanon? Did you ever…love him the way you love me?”
“I don't know.” The other responded.
Rhadamanthys had felt angrier at the answer. He did not know how to react and when Kanon dared to kiss him after his confession, he had wanted to kill him. Wyvern had had to hold onto every single memory of their life together to not do something against the other right away.
He had asked. He knew that. He had demanded an explanation he had no reason to ask for. He had seen him flicker at the mention of Saga, Kanon's eyes had shone for a second. And he had lost his self control at that moment. He had seen it before—in Orpheus when asking for Eurydice. He had hated it then and hated it more now.
That's why he had been so violent when taking Kanon that evening. Sex was his pinnacle. The kingdom that belonged to him, the scorpion. Kanon could not lie to him there, his Gemini side was all gone when he was giving himself to Rhadamanthys—yet the guilt in the gesture was killing the blond one.
Sea Dragon was soundly sleeping now. Rhadamanthys had used his own cosmos to heal the wounds he had inflicted and had let him sleep after just one time that evening. His thoughts were nothing but a turmoil of feelings he could not understand. He did not know what was worse, Kanon's sort of confession or the fact that it still bothered him to speak about Saga. The man took one more sip of his drink, and then went out of the room and to the living room.
He looked at everything around him. That flat had been the result of letting himself being loved. Love. Rhadamanthys took his hand to his heart when he repeated the word in his head. He still remembered the moment they had met at the café so many months ago. What had happened afterwards, it had not taken them long to be in that hotel room. Kanon had done it all back then. His beloved had destroyed the walls he had built around himself. He could still feel those caresses on his skin. The anticipation he had felt and the fear he had lost at the touch of the other man. The perfection of their union.
He cursed in the language of his fathers and went to the balcony, for he could not go back to bed.
Paris looked beautiful before him. The City of Light , he remembered when Kanon had said those words to him the first time they had met. It hurt to acknowledge his present state. Scruffy after sex, he had not even taken a bath, for he feared inside to lose Kanon's smell from his body.
“We're everything but light, Kanon.”
“Precisely.”
He sighed heavily and looked sternly to the city before him. It had been a lie what he had said back then, for he now knew better.
“You're light, Kanon. Mine.” He whispered to the silence that surrounded him. “And I'm not going lose you.” Then he walked back to his chamber and before opening the door, he stood there for a second, thinking about whether it was a good idea to get in there or not. He did it after all. Rhadamanthys had entered and had gone to the bathroom and had changed there, putting some clothes in a small backpack. Staying in the house would have meant he was okay with whatever was happening with Kanon and he just was not.
“I love you, you idiot.” He said before taking his coat and leaving the flat.
Kanon was surprised by the sound of the door closing and waking him up. “Rhadamanthys?” he called. Only silence answered.
Kanon's life had continued as usual. He knew there was something terribly wrong between him and Rhadamanthys, but he also knew they needed time to work things out and be back to the way they were.
Rhadamanthys had left their house that night and had not returned, being that one the second day. That had been a bit traumatic to him since he had hoped for things to turn out differently. The man sighed and took those boring papers to try to read them for the tenth time that morning.
He shrugged when he realised there was nothing to do. That was going to be another day in which he was not going to be able to concentrate.
“Mr. Gemini, there is someone looking for you.” The voice said.
“Let the person in, Amélie.” He said, tidying himself a bit, for he thought it might have been Rhadamanthys. He was still in the small bathroom his office had and was combing his hair with his fingers, reorganising the ponytail he always wore to work when he heard the door opening. Kanon walked out waiting to see his lover standing there, but to his surprise, it was not him.
“Hello, brother.” Saga said, smiling at him.
“Saga.” Kanon answered, “Welcome.” He said, before walking to him and hugging him as he had never thought could have happened. They'd promised before the gods to behave properly and that was the least he could do.
“Mr. Gemini…” said the voice in the intercom but before he could make up an excuse and go there, the door of the office was opened again.
“Rhadamanthys…” he whispered when he saw him, and smiled broadly. Kanon walked to him and frowned before him, closing the door. “Where the hell have you been? How come you're so inconsiderate?!” Yet the answer he received was a deep kiss, to which he could only answer by holding on to the other. “I was worried, you know?”
“I'm sorry…I'm fine…I just needed some time alone…”
Saga had to clear his throat to make them aware of his presence there. “I'm sorry if I'm interrupting you guys, but I'm still here.” Rhadamanthys' brow rose for he did not like the annoying comment. He let Kanon go and much against his desire, he shook hands with Saga. “So it is true…that about you two.” Saga stated moving his hand in the air in a most uncaring manner. “That I'd never expected it to be true, brother.” He finished, looking at Kanon in a most mocking way.
At first Kanon did not respond to Saga's words. Somehow he had wanted to believe it was a shock for him to find out what was happening with him. On the other hand, it made Kanon mad. “So, Saga, what are you doing here, after all? I heard you were Athena's dog once again, but never expected to see you here, in Poseidon's territory.”
A war, Rhadamanthys noted, and loved the way Kanon was addressing the other. It was not all lost, he figured, for Kanon seemed to glow in the sunlight entering through the window.
“I've heard you've got a dog yourself, my brother, tell me is he a good one?”
“I'm better than you, if that's what you're implying…and well it must be because of my master…unlike you, I'm very well cared for, you know?”
Saga did not even turn to look at him, he simply stared at Kanon and continued to speak, “I am here because I have no other choice, and because I just found out some very unpleasant news. I have to look for a place to stay and then I have to come to you for help.”
Rhadamanthys' brow rose once again, which did not pass unnoticed to Kanon, who was now sitting on his chair, watching the other over Saga's shoulder and across the room.
“What can I do for you?”
“I need a place to stay for a couple of days, while Athena returns from an affair which she said has to be done only by her. Can I count on you?”
“Absolutely.” Rhadamanthys answered from behind him, and Saga saw him coming to Kanon's place and lean to kiss him what seem goodbye. “I'll see you home tonight, I'll make sure the guest room is ready for your brother.” And against Kanon's lips, he said he loved him. “Farewell, for now, Saga of Sanctuary. I hope you feel very comfortable in our house.”
Dinner had passed slowly and unpleasantly. Rhadamanthys had called Renee that day and asked her to stay until late for he needed her to prepare her most exquisite meal. Being at Kanon's office had proven his good timing and inside, he felt it was the best thing he had done. The fact that he had followed his instincts made him feel awkward. He was not a jealous person, nor was he a Gemini like his lover and twin to be changing his mood so easily, but if what people used to say about him—a Scorpio—was true, then he was entitled to protect what he considered his. Kanon in this case.
Everything had been meticulously prepared. Kanon was to sit between Saga and himself at the middle of the table and he was going to enjoy watching them share dinner. And so he did. The conversation flowed from one topic to the next, avoiding of course the old battles, for they had been enemies in different times of their lives and well, to him, it had been quite normal.
He felt by Kanon's side, as if that time away had never actually happened. They had even kissed in the protection of the kitchen, though he had seen Saga watching them sideways. Yet Kanon…he had behaved as always. Had he been delusional by feeling betrayed by him? It had been Saga's presence that had ruined it all. By that time, he would have already taken Kanon in the middle of the living room, or would have asked him to do so, and he would have felt full of the other and the bad taste or memories would have been already gone from his mind.
He thanked Hades when Saga said he was tired and wanted to rest for a while. He grinned, raising his glass with scotch, wishing the other a goodnight. He did not even wait for Saga to be in his room; he had already taken Kanon from the hand and was already pressing his body against his.
“I've missed you.”
“And I've missed you…why did you leave me?”
“I did not leave you…I just needed to cool my head off.”
“Let me help you do so…for I'm just the best medicine.” Said the man, inviting him to follow him to their room.
Once there, Kanon undressed for him. “This is weird…” he said giggling, realising Rhadamanthys had not taken his eyes off him for a second.
“Please me.” He ordered.
And so, Kanon did.
The long haired one made Rhadamanthys fall on the bed, he placing himself on top of him. He loved that moment in which the other looked at him with those predatory eyes of his. Kanon kissed as much as he could, while undressing him. He touched Rhadamanthys slowly, pinching his nipples and spanking him at times.
“You've been a bad boy, you know?”
Wyvern laughed. He had been bad by leaving him, had not he? “Punish me then…”
“No…I want to feel you…I want you inside of me, thrusting hard…until you drive me so crazy that all I can say is your name…” Kanon whispered in his ear. “I was the bad boy…I made you go away from me…”
Rhadamanthys felt aroused to his limit. He took Kanon by the head and kissed him hard to the point he thought their lips were going to start bleeding. Kanon was giving himself to him but it was different. That last night between them had been tainted by the other's guilt and his own anger. He pierced Kanon's flesh with his fingernails. He was not driven by anger this time—yet he wanted to fulfil his promise, to make him feel full of him.
Kanon was moaning without any misgivings. It was as if Saga was not in the place. His face blushing at each of his touches, made Rhadamanthys lose his self control and this time, again, he hurt him, piercing his wrist so hard that it bled. Kanon looked at him in disbelief, yet drowned in so much pleasure, that he gasped once again, this time louder when Wyvern licked and sucked the blood as if he were a Vampire.
His other hand was already playing in Kanon's groin. Noticing him getting hard at its touch, Rhadamanthys could tell every piece of Kanon's body reacting to him. He could picture his face, painted in crimson, responding to him, by kissing him and moaning without any control.
Yet, it was when he had finally entered in Kanon that Rhadamanthys felt the world around him blur. Sea Dragon was moving his body against him, making the contact tighter. He bit Kanon's shoulder. He heard him asking for more, telling him to make it harder. And so he did.
It was now, after having listened to him, after seeing him sleeping, just like that night some nights ago, that Rhadamanthys saw Kanon as he truly was. He had enjoyed it and was kind of smiling. The man had called his name out so many times, that Rhadamanthys had thought he was going to lose it. He was drinking some scotch, admiring the wonderful view before him.
The man left the room, just like he had done in the past.
“Shouldn't you be holding him?”
“What do you care?”
“He's my brother.”
“And you've dreamt of doing to him what I just did, haven't you?” Wyvern asked smirking.
“What do you know?!” the other yelled.
“I know enough! Who do you think you're talking to? I am Wyvern Rhadamanthys and I am Hades' judge! I know all about you, Saint of Athena! I know your lewd desires towards your brother! I never cared for him before the battle, his being there was a surprise, how do you think I noticed him! he outstands among all of you, dogs!”
Saga couldn't stand it and hit him. His fist was still on fire, but when he tried it again, Rhadamanthys stopped him, his eyes glowing with anger.
“Too far and too fast, Saga.” He told him, his lip bleeding slightly. “But that was a big, bloody mistake!”
The next day was chaos, Kanon noticed. He had been reckless he thought, when he realised he had not cared about Saga in his house. Breakfast was ready, Rhadamanthys called him, and he responded he was coming. When he entered the kitchen, Saga and he were waiting for him as if something had happened.
“He wants you.” Rhadamanthys said bluntly. Kanon stood there in shock at his words and clenched his fists.
“What the hell are you saying?”
“That your brother wants you. That he can't wait to take you.”
“Rhadamanthys!”
“What?!” he retorted angrily, “I'm not the one lying here! You don't even know what you feel for him!”
Saga turned to look at Kanon, stricken by Rhadamanthys' words. They were true, but also painful. Kanon began to stammer, unsure as to what to say or how to react to what was happening. Rhadamanthys was still sitting, calmly looking at both of them. He noticed their reactions, taking mental note of that which the twins did or said. Saga was still speechless. “Athena is not even in town, right Gemini?” Rhadamanthys asked annoyed, having a sip of his orange juice.
“Can you even eat in a situation like this one?” Saga demanded, taking his hand to his temple, his body resting against the chair.
“This isn't my problem, Saga, but I'm involved nonetheless, since I am your brother's partner.” He responded, inviting Kanon to sit by his side. “You know what's fun of all this? I can just send you to hell and condemn you both to the Cocytus itself, yet, here I am, trying to fix all this mess!”
“It was you who started it, Rhadamanthys.” Kanon murmured.
“But it's your mayhem I intend to end.” The man responded, sounding aloof.
Kanon saw in him, the judge he had once faced in the Hades. There was no warmth coming from him, and the truth was, it made him fear. Rhadamanthys' coldness was getting on his nerves all the same.
“Speak now or I shall do it for you two!”
“Rhadamanthys, this…”
“All right then, Kanon, Saga has never despised you, on the contrary, he had always loved you but could never say anything about it; and Saga, Kanon has no idea—or so he says, as to what he feels for you…” he spoke, watching the two brothers. The same face, aghastly looking at each other, showing themselves as different as day and night were. “You two have many things to discuss and I'm not willing to be here with you to do it.”
“Wyvern…”
“Yes, Saga?”
“Why are you doing this?”
“Because I love him and I'm not losing him.” He answered reassuringly.
Kanon saw him standing and then walking to the door. For a second, Rhadamanthys looked older for a twenty-five year old man. “Where are you going?” Kanon asked, reaching him by the door.
“I don't know.” The man honestly answered.
“Don't leave me now…please.”
“I'm not, Love. I'm right here,” He said, touching Kanon's chest right over his heart, “and I will for as long as you want me…I just…I trust you, and what you've said you feel for me…Call me when you know what you decide, OK?”
Rhadamanthys left the flat hurriedly. Kanon turned to look at Saga. “Is this fair, Brother?”
Saga only returned his stare, his eyes showing great sorrow. “I never meant…”
“And yet you showed up, did not you?”
“I—I think he's right; we need to work things out.”
“Why?” he asked crossing his arms on his chest, looking at him raptingly, “I thought you'd given up your selfishness.”
“Because I…”
“Don't even dare to say it. Whatever will happen between the two of us, won't happen here. Not in the home I share with him.”
Rhadamanthys had been driving around the city for many an hour already, and just when he thought fuel was almost over, he'd refilled the tank and started driving again. It had all been so easy—he said to himself—his need for settling things at once, was nothing but a façade for his fears. He stopped suddenly, just to see his mobile, which had been ringing for a few minutes already. He took it and saw a ‘K' on the screen. Was it over already, he wondered and let it ring until it stopped. It rang again. ‘Answer me!' said the text message, and the next time it rang, he heard Kanon's voice.
“Where are you?”
“…”
“I've been looking for you for hours, Rhadamanthys!”
“What do you want?”
“You.”
The confidence he could hear in the voice, made him flinch. Unsure as to what the other meant, he asked anyway, knowing it better not to have said anything whatsoever.
“What do you mean?”
“I need you here with me…otherwise…”
“What?”
“I'll walk away and you'll never see me again. That I promise.”
“Don't do this to me, Kanon…don't—”
“This is your doing, my love. We're at the Hilton.”
The next thing Rhadamanthys knew, was that of the beeping of the phone, for Kanon had already hung up. He hurried, preoccupied for whatever thing was taking place in that hotel room.
“This is your doing, my love…”
It was true. It had been his doing. It had been him who had brought it on himself. Why was it that every time you needed something, the world worked against you? It had been so easy to leave them their problem and drive away, yet now—too many a car were around him, he pressing the honk of the car, upset for how late it seemed to be.
Late for what anyways?
It had hurt Saga that Kanon had not wanted to look at him. It was the best, he thought later, given that he could not bear the look of his brother himself. Kanon's skin felt soft under his fingers, manly as his body was, firm because of the years of training. His breathing was already uneven. Foreplay was not necessary between men, he knew, yet he wanted Kanon to enjoy the pleasure he could give him. It was true that Kanon was Rhadamanthys's partner; but it was also true that he was his only brother. Only he could do those things to him—only he could love Kanon. Though Kanon was infatuated with Wyvern.
Saga now wished he had said no to Kanon's order of calling Rhadamanthys. But the man was not there, was he? And he could enjoy more of his twin. Not a single complaint had come out of Kanon's lips. On the contrary, he had responded to each of his kisses and was now groaning in delight. Saga was paying close attention to every reaction of the other. Biting Kanon's nipples, as he was at the moment, had caused Kanon to hold on to the sheets firmly; however, he had relaxed when Saga had thrusted his fingers in him, making him move his hips hastily, demanding for more.
He stopped for a second when Kanon released his pleasure anguishly. There was no guilt on the gesture, though. It had been as honest as he could have done it and Saga couldn't restrain himself, leaving Kanon's chest, just to keep thrusting with his fingers and take him in his mouth and clean him thoroughly, drinking every drop of the fine liquid.
It had been then, when he had given Kanon a second to recover, that Saga noticed the door opening. Whatever was going on through Rhadamanthys' mind was a mystery to him, as much as it was what he was planning to do. The man's gaze wandered from him to Kanon and back, yet there were no traces of anger or pain. Saga flinched when he saw the blond one approaching them, leaving his clothes scattered all over the room. Only the rustle of the fabric touching the floor, mixed with Kanon's breathing was heard. Saga couldn't help it and had remained staring at Rhadamanthys, scared at the confidence the man exuded.
The English man did not pay attention to Saga whatsoever. He came to Kanon, forcing him to kiss him, devouring his lips while he took him strongly by the chin. Kanon did not have time to say anything. He tried to talk a couple of more times, he even meant to take the blindfold off his eyes, but Rhadamanthys stopped him. He knew those lips all too well to not recognise them. As soon as he could breathe, Kanon whispered Rhadamanthys's name to what the other responded by kissing him in his cheek and them moving to his ear, to kiss his earlobe and whisper something Kanon could not really comprehend.
Saga snorted and Rhadamanthys looked at him as if he were a predator in front of his next meal. “C'mon Kanon, your brother hasn't even come once…I guess he needs your help to do it, won't you agree?” the man took advantage of the fact that Kanon could not watch him and Saga stare at each other with those fierce eyes of them, sharp and untimidly trying to intimidate the other. However, it had been Rhadamanthys who had made the first move, helping Kanon to move to his fours and then look for Saga's member. “It's not fair that you enjoy alone…don't be selfish, my love.” he whispered one more time in the other's ear, his warm breath colliding against his sweaty earlobe.
His emotions were not as complicated as he had thought they were. His infatuation with Saga had begun many years ago, when not only hatred lived within, but also admiration towards him. Only Saga had been truly worthy of the teachings of the former Gemini Master, which had been why he had wanted to make him fall from the grace of the goddess. He, Kanon of Seadragon—and of Gemini—had succeeded flawlessly. That much he believed Shaka would say, was his karma, and he was currently paying for it.
He had loved Saga with the innocence of the child, with the hatred of the adolescent and that same love, had turned into some sort of feeling he was not attached to, but could not let go either, and had become precious with the maturity of the passing years.
However, the love that can take you aback at any time, making you feel like you walk on the clouds though you are in fact chained to the earth because of the passion you can feel, was something he had only felt with Rhadamanthys. His lovers from the past did not matter anymore; only the man he shared his life with.
That was why he was obeying so willingly. Rhadamanthys had commanded him and he was already on his fours, while the first guided his hand to Saga's groin. It was bitter, he could tell, but it was also dripping already. He swallowed the whole thing, moaning when he did it. Was Rhadamanthys really touching him back there? Saga had not said a word, though. Gemini had to control his respiration. Kanon's mouth was so warm and delicate—and he was treating him with such kindness that he thought he was a perverted by wanting to do all those things to Kanon. An expert, he would call him, for he knew exactly how to touch him and how much strength to put on the touch of his testicles with his hands. Saga was merely gasping and breathing heavily at his licking and he was enjoying that Rhadamanthys was pleasing him. But the man's fingers were also touching him, looking for his inside and though it startled him at first, then, filling him with pleasure. When Rhadamanthys made him come; Kanon pressed tighter on Saga's member, making him come as well, not being able to leave the other, until Saga yelled that he could not take it anymore.
As Saga fell on the bed, Rhadamanthys made Kanon straddle on him, his back against his chest. Kanon could not see his beloved one, though this time; he had succeeded at taking the cloth off his eyes. Wyvern was entering in him, thrusting slowly after preparing him; making him hold on to his legs, for the pleasure was unbearable. Yet, the other was holding him by his neck and waist, while he kissed him on his neck and ears.
“Rhad…” he could whisper, his face flustered with passion. That had been his desire all along. To be able to feel him just like that. Kanon groaned yet again, when he felt Saga between his legs, sucking him hard.
Saga stood up for a second, facing the lovers arrogantly, “I want to…hold him…” he ordered. However, Rhadamanthys did not comply, facing him while he grinned.
“The only way you can get to him, is through me.” Wyvern responded. He made Saga move from where he was, too aroused by the situation. By Kanon's blushed face and languid breathing. He let him go for a moment, just to make him turn and thrust in him again, Kanon lying on the bed. “Mine alone.” He whispered against Kanon's lips, the latter lifting his hips and legs so that Rhadamanthys could enter him faster and harder.
“More!” Kanon screamed. Saga could only see them, astonished at how perfect they both looked joined like that. Their cosmos melting into one.
“The only way you can get to him, is through me.” Saga took it literally. He was hard again. So much, he believed he would explode. “More” Kanon kept repeating, and it was then that he took Rhadamanthys' word. Saga approached them, touching Wyvern's soft skin. That man was Kanon's lover and the one who had separated them—could he…? He spit saliva on his hand and used it on Rhadamanthys sphincter, hurrying to enter him.
The man groaned as Saga entered him and Kanon yelled at how the dance of the bodies had changed. A union of three had begun. Rhadamanthys lifted his upper body, groaning hastily and Saga was now imposing the rhythm. Yes, Rhadamanthys was the only way to get to Kanon.
How much longer did they spend in the room, they did not know. * * *
Rhadamanthys was already dressed and standing at the front door. Saga saw him scornfully. If only he had not showed up—he just did not want to feel that way. Not that—empty.
Kanon was now leaving the bathroom, moving his hair with his hands. His outfit perfectly in place. The haut collar of the shirt, making him look a lot more stylised. Nothing much had been said while they had been there. Saga wondered if there was something they could actually say. “Brother…” the way the man turned to look at him frightened him. So different—that arrogant look of his had not been there for the past day, in fact, he had to acknowledge Kanon was not as feeble as he had thought he had become. Now, he was the haughty person he had always known.
“What is it, Saga?” he heard Kanon asking him. He dared not say anything at once. Pensive, as he already was, Saga stood up, looking for one of the robes in the room's bathroom. “Saga?”
“I thought you…” the man began to say absent-mindedly, “I thought you'd have feelings for me.”
“Kanon giggled when Rhadamanthys snorted by the door. “You're my brother, Saga…of course I have feelings for you. Sorry they're not what you expected.”
“But…you agreed to come here with me. You knew what was to happen…and…if he hadn't showed up, we would've gone all the was…I just don't get it.”
“And you never will, Brother.” Said Kanon sadly, arranging his coat and scarf. “I made the arrangements for this room a when we checked in. It's already paid for a week.” Kanon looked at him, realising the aloofness and disappointment in the other. The sweet decadency in Saga's gesture. He had poured a glass of wine and was already by the window, lost in the nocturnal Paris . Kanon shook his head and sighed. “Goodbye, Saga.”
Rhadamanthys opened the door for them and made Kanon leave the room first. Saga had turned to look at him, right after seeing Kanon leaving through the reflection in the mirror. “You won.” He said with a hint of irony in his voice. The English man looked for a reason to pity him, yet, he could not find one. “if only you hadn't showed up, Rhadamanthys.”
“Just accept it, Saga.”
“Why should I?”
“Because he's mine.”
Wyvern half-bowed and left the room. He was still feeling dizzy by the events. It had been the first time someone different from Kanon had taken him and it still felt weird. His heart was feeling lighter than ever, he thought, hence, he did not mind his body. Kanon was not around, he noticed, and fearfully, the man jumped into the lift, going down to the reception desk where the other was confirming Saga's stay in the place.
“I'd thought you'd left.” Rhadamanthys said panting, after running to meet him.
“When, I wonder, would you two idiots stop making assumptions on my account?” he responded in a tired, annoyed voice. “Let's go home, Rhadamanthys.”
The two men left the hotel and headed to their house. Never again did they mention the situation. Saga never dared such an action, though he did visit them a few more times after that.
Things between them, did change after all. Somewhat, Kanon and Rhadamanthys became closer. Everything they had felt, was multiplied when they were together. Decisions had also been made. Little by little, both men had begun to lower the hours at work. Saori and Shun one day accepted their conditon and their time together increased. Together, they learnt more about each other's sexuality, though Saga would never know it was all because of him.
The time for the “innocent” relationship they had had was gone. Rhadamanthys had learnt how to read Kanon's emotions, and though the latter never said it, Rhadamanthys knew that from time to time, he longed for something he could not give him. They had matured, some might have said, but the truth was, that simply, by sharing with each other, by making every day a brand new one, they were simply in love.
Now that he thought about it, in silence as always, Rhadamanthys smiled to himself. Saga after all, had been a blessing, and not one single time, he had regretted their encounter. It would never happen again, though. By having forced Kanon to face his past, he had granted them their future.
“What time are you coming home, Kanon?”
“Dunno,” said the other, signaling the pet shop employee that was showing him the puppies, “it might take me a while” he said, taking in his arms a beautiful golden retriever that was happily wagging his tail at him. Kanon smiled, what a surprise Rhadmanthys was going to receive.
“Talk to you later, then.” The other man said, then hang up. “What do you drink, huh? Milk or water?” whispered Rhadamanthys messing with his hair as he walked across the kitchen, the little kitten on his hand.
The animal meowed, stretching on the man's lap as soon as he sat to serve him some milk he found in the fridge. Wyvern smiled, listening to the kitten avidly drinking the milk.
“Now, what name am I going to give you? And what face will Kanon make when he sees you?”
Before the kitten meowed again, the front door opened, and he smiled to that direction, “Rhadamanthys, where are you?!”
“Kitchen!”
