The rain came down hard on the city. The winds were strong and an occasional flash of lightning, followed by a clap of thunder, occurred. A single figure, clad in a raincoat ran up the large staircase that led to the Hinata apartments. Opening the front door she took off her coat and her shoes leaving them both in the entry way as is custom.
Mei Narusegawa, Naru’s younger stepsister, had come to pay a visit yet again. I guess you would assume that she merely looked up to and idolized her sister like many younger brothers and sisters do. If so then you are wrong. Mei is much like Kanako in the sense that she lusts after her older sibling.
As she ascended the stairs she bumped into none other than the resident pervert, manager of the apartments and ultimately her rival in love for Naru, Keitaro Urashima. She forced a smile, trying her best to look happy to see him. “Oh, hey Keitaro. I was just looking for my nee-san. Is she around?”
Keitaro nodded “yes, but she isn’t well. She caught a cold and is resting right now. You can go up and see her but don’t wake her up, please”
“Thank you. I will.” With that Mei bowed and continued up the stairs. ‘Who does he think he is treating me like some little kid that doesn’t know how to behave?’
She turned a corner and went down the hall to her sister’s room. Quietly, she opened the door and stepped inside. Naru was lying on her futon facing the opposite direction. The gentle sound of her breathing was slow and steady, as should be for those fast asleep. Mei approached her sister’s sleeping form, taking care not to wake her. Leaning down she kissed her sister on the cheek. She then tucked her sister in, accidentally touching her breast in the process.
Naru’s eyes flew open, her fists clenched and in a split second she punched Mei full in the face, sending her slamming into the wall.
“KEITARO YOU FILTHY PERVERT!!”
The words were heard throughout the entire apartments. All the other girls came to the room to see what Keitaro had done this time. Motoko had gotten there first, sword drawn and ready.
But Keitaro was nowhere in sight. Instead they all saw Mei, tears running down her face and Naru, eyes wide, disbelieving what she had just done. Mei stood up and ran out of the room, down the stairs, and back out in the rain, her raincoat and shoes left behind.
