Part 1 - Intro - The Flight of a Dark Angel
In the haste to find what was left of his dignity, Abel Nightroad ran for his life away from the inquisitors who sought only to arrest him. Why, he thought, he did not know, but rumor had it that his enemy Francesco de Medici had set a bounty on his head that was rumored to be the largest in history.
Abel ducked into an alleyway and fought to regain his breath winter blue eyes showing signs of sheer weariness. He had no idea where he was, save it wasn't Europe. A sharp gaze scanned the area and then he felt no more as a screamer impacted on the back of his head.
