Aftermath

They didn’t get far though as Nurse Joy asked them to wait, suddenly remembering something. She pulled out an envelope from behind the desk; Brock seeing it first ran forward and took Nurse Joy’s hand.

Brock didn’t get a chance to finish that statement. At that moment, Croagunk released itself from its pokeball and struck Brock in the side with a poison jab. Nurse Joy looked on at the scene, somewhat confused and mostly relieved that she wasn’t being badgered by the boy any longer. She wouldn’t say it out loud but she preferred the company of women as far as love was concerned. She regained her composure and held the envelope out to Dawn.

“Lila stopped by a short while ago and asked me to give this to you.”

Dawn thanked her and took the envelope, opening it. She pulled out a letter addressed to her from Lila and read it.

It took a minute for Dawn to fully realize what Lila meant. When she did, her whole face lit up with a blush. She pulled her hand free and edged away from the older woman.

“What!? You…you can’t mean…”

Dawn moved a little further away, “B-but I don’t like girls!”

Lila giggled, “That’s what your mother told me the first time I did this with her.”

Dawn’s eyes widened in shock, “M-my mom!? B-but…”
