It was another bright and sunny day in Kanto. Ashley had come to Mt. Moon in search of a Moon Stone to present as a gift her boyfriend. Ashley had heard rumors of how the mysterious stones had come to the planet and the mystical power they held. "Alright...where should I start looking?" She pondered to herself. She set her equipment bag down and withdrew an itemfinder 'this techincological wonder would easily be able to detect the power of a Moon Stone. She activated it, but got no trace of a signal. "Maybe if I go elsewhere..." She took a few steps down one of the cavernous corridors and used it again. Still nothing. Ashley had hoped that she would be able to find one before Peter got home from training, He had put so much hardship into training that Nidorino and she wanted to suprise him with a gift. Maybe then he would let up on his training for a while and spend more time with her. She knew that he loved her deeply regardless, but he had been pouring his heart into raising his mon. She didn't want to leave here without finding a Moon Stone, but her search seemed fruitless. An hour or so later she was near the top of the mountain, still looking.

"Clefairy." Clefairy" Clefable" a flood of voices echoed through the tunnels of the cave. She followed the noises to their source on the mountainpeak where a circle of pinkish Pokemon were chanting around a shrine. As she got into arm's reach of the group her item finder began to ping in indication of a Moon stone. Startled by the sudden noise the Pokemon quickly scattered, shattering their circle. And in the middle of the shrine sat a shining glowing stone, could it be? "It is!" Ashley exclaimed out loud in joy. Aside from the collosal one in the centre (Which would most likely require a forklift or two to move and life it), there were hundreds of normal-sized Stones around the base of it. But the one that caught her attention was one that had caught her attention the most was a bit bigger than the others and it gleamed with energy.

Ashley's itemfinder's whines reached a peak as she came within reach of the large chunk of stone. "Wow, this one's amazing!" She grinned as she picked it up. "From the size and energy this looks like it could be used at least several times!" Unfourtnately it was far too big and heavy for her to lift by herself. She grinned as she held the solution to her problem up in front of her. "Go Nidoqueen! She yelled tossing the poke ball near the stone. From the poké ball emerged her Nidoqueen. She let out a bellow as she was released. "NIIIIIDOQUEEN!" She turned to look at Ashley. "Nidoqueen use strength." She shouted. The Pokemon turned towards the chunk of stone and picked it up in it's two clawed hands with ease. "Nice work!" She beamed to her mon. "I'll need your help to take it back with us though!" Ashley said as she looked through her bag for an Escape Rope.
After heading back to her boyfriend's house in Viridian city with Nidoqueen and the Moon Stone in tow, she poured herself a glass of cold Lemonade for two and anxiously awaited Peter's return from his daily training. After around 10 minutes, a pair of figures could be seen emerging the distance. Peter came into view, accompanied by his Nidorino. "You did a good job today, and I'm really proud of you." He told his mon, who smiled back up at him. Ashley rolled her eyes as she overheard the two. Sometimes she wondered if he loved that Pokemon more than her. He then looked forwards and noticed Ashley outside his house.

"Ashley? What are you doing here?" He said in surprise. "I didn't forget something did I?" "No no" Ashley said, inside her mind she couldn't wait to show him the moon stone she had found. But first things first. "I just came over because I wanted to see you and maybe spend some time with you." "Sure. If you haven't eaten anything I was gonna cook up a little meal" He smiled. "Sure i'll have something to eat" she smiled back. After all her journey through Mt. Moon had left her with an apetite, besides it would be more romantic if she gave him the stone over a meal. "Anything you want in particular?" He said as he opened the door and held it open for her. "I'll have whatever you're having." She grabbed some plates and set them out on the table in the center of the living room. "As you wish!" He chuckled and headed into the kitchen, getting the oven ready and getting out some mince and potatoes to make a cottage pie with.

"Now Nidoqueen." She whispered to the Drill Pokemon that had been waiting out back with the chunk of stone she had procured from Mt. Moon. The Pokemon walked through the front door having to crouch down slightly to fit under the arch, gently and quietly dropping the Moon stone near the table. The stone glowed a little as it was set down. "Shouldn't take much longer!" Peter shouted from the kitchen. "Don't rush yourself!" She yelled back. Soon a delicious scent filled the living room "The food must be done by now." She thought to herself. "Ok, it's ready!"
He grinned as he came out of the kitchen holding a serving bowl which contained a large portion of cottage pie cooked to perfection and coated in gravy. The stone was out of Peter's view at the moment. Ashley had purposely told her Nidoqueen to hide it from view of anyone exiting the kitchen. Fourtanately the table that she was helping set the food on was fairly tall and wide, just enough to hide the stone from view.

"How did training go today?" Ashley inquired as she cut herself a slice of pie. "It went ok. Trained a bit in Veridian Forest, battled a few trainers. Same old same old, although Nidorino is showing vast improvement. If only I could evolve him to a Nidoking then I'd be able to unlock his full potential. That and your Queen would have a breeding partner." He chuckled. Rachel chuckled back, blushing at the thought of their two Pokemon ever becoming that intimate with each other, when their trainers barely spent time with each other as was. She took another bite out of her slice of pie. "Which reminds me. I have a gift for you." She motioned toward her Nidoqueen who was patiently standing out side. The Drill Pokemon came in and picked up the stone from under the table and placed it in plain view of Peter.

"Oh my Arceus..." his jaw litrally dropped when he saw the size of the Moon Stone before him. "Is that REALLY a Moon Stone?" Rachel was overjoyed inside, Peter seemed to be absolutely thrilled about her gift to him and maybe now they would finally be able to share time together talking about and discussing things of interest between each other. Without any form of hesitation, Peter rushed over to Ashley and placed his arms around her in a hug. "Thank you so much!" He smiled wide. "I really don't know what else to say!" "I'm so glad you like it!" She smiled back, returning his hug. "And I think I know someone else who's bound to like it as much as me!" He said, calling out his Nidorino Hearing his name the excited Pokemon loyally came running to his trainer. "Ashley got you a nice big surprise!" Peter smiled as he pointed to the large stone.

His Nidiorino stood on it's hind legs sniffing curiously at the now glowing stone. "Sniffing it won't have any effect!" He laughed, placing a hand down on the stone. "You gotta touch it!" The stone glowed even brighter as Nidorino made contact with it.
Unfourtanately Peter had forgotten to take his hand off the stone. Peter looked at his hand in suprise as both he and his Nidorino were enveloped by the light. "This doesn't normally happen!" He yelped as Nidorino's body was completly envoluped in the light, starting to grow larger now as its form grew and altered. Peter on the other hand began to lose his sight, his vision slowly blurring and coming into focus. "What's going on..." He rubbed his eyes a little bit, the light that surrounded his Nidorino's body slowly died down as his evolution finished, now standing tall as a powerful Nidoking. He stumbled towards Ashley, who stared in concern for her boyfriend. "Are you alright?" her tone of voicing shifting from concerned to panic. "Yeah, I'll be fine." He assured her, resting a hand on her shoulder. "I think the light just got to my eyes." He said as everything came back into focus, albeit everything seeming a little sharper in detail.
He shifted his gaze to her face 'he had never realized how attractive she was.' Just the feeling of his hand on her shoulder made him feel...good, dominant.
