Just a little info!
Eustass Kid: University Student in Physics
- Works at a restaurant at nights

- Is forced to cook for the other two

Monkey D Luffy: High School Student
- Basically the same as in the anime / manga

Trafalgar Law: Medical School Student
- Skipped two years at school

- Mega rich but still only pays part of the rent

Kid was walking down the street. His hands shoved in his pockets while a plastic bag hung off his right wrist from the shop he had just stopped by. His headphones were in and were blasting music so he couldn't hear anything else around him. It was about eight and he'd just gotten off work. Since it was a Saturday he had slept in this morning and could do so tomorrow too. Law said something about waking Kid up early so that he could help him study but he knew that he would probably brush him off.

Soon he was near the large building that they called home. It was tall and white. Walking up the stairs taking two at a time, Kid walked down the open platform past all the rooms. The place was two stories high, but they lived on the bottom half of the building It was basic yet perfect for just the three of them. As Kid turned the corner he saw the door to their apartment. Room 203. But there was something different, there was a young kid sitting outside of it. As he got closer he looked down at the small boy. He had brown hair that slightly covered his face, it was shaggy and messy but the kind of messy that looked perfect. His face was covered in dirt, blood and tears. His clothes were torn, ripped and basically useless now. He wore a white top that showed his collar bone and part of his chest, revealing a fresh cut over his heart. It wasn't deep, but it looked as if it had bleed out a lot. The boy also wore black jeans, they were ripped in the knees mostly but were still wearable. But the kid had no shoes either, his feet were bare, cut and covered in the red blood and dirt. He looked like he had run away from a war zone or something along those lines. Not really thinking, Kid pushed his foot into the young boys ribs making him flinch and his eyes flutter open. Kid couldn't explain it. The feeling that this young boy was having on him. His gut churning as the child looked up at him, his eyes half open. They were a bright crystal blue that just stared up at him. Kid could only swallow the lump in throat as he looked at the boy. The feeling swelling in the pit of his stomach.

Once Kid broke his gaze from the more than handsome young boy, his eyes narrowed and he glared at him.

"Who the hell are you?"

The boy stayed quite. Kid felt a tug at his heart as the boy got to his feet, his legs shaking as if he didn't have anymore strength. He looked beyond hurt. Kid was already regretting the tone he spoke to the kid in.

'Fuck.. Maybe Trafalgar could help the kid...'

"I.. I sorry"

The young boy bowed his head down but soon fell to the ground with a thud. Reacting fast, Kid lifted the child up in his arms as a father would to their own child. So lovingly. So, unlike him. He was cold, barely breathing. But for some reason, the kid still had a smile on his face. He somehow, still seemed happy.

Taking pity on the child, Kid walked inside and called out to his two roommates. Luffy was sitting on the couch playing one of his video games and Law slowly came down the stairs more annoyed that he was pulled out of his studies.

"I'm trying to study you idiot! Don't call me down here unless it's an emergency"

Law gave Kid the death glare but stopped when he saw the brown haired child lying in his arms. Even Law felt his stomach twist as he looked the blood stained child up and down. The young boy was giving him the same feeling as it was to Kid.

"Eustass-ya? Who's the kid?"

Kid gave and shrug and passed him over to Law.

"He needs help though"

Giving a nod, Law took the young child into another room and shut the door behind him, not wanting to have the other two disturb him while he worked. But also, now he got time to spend with the child. Though he wouldn't do anything to him while he was out cold.

Back in the lounge, Luffy was jumping on the couch and asking Kid a million questions.

"Who is that kid?!"

"I don't know"

"How did he get here?!"

"I don't know"

"He's pretty cute don't ya think?!"

Eustass turned and glared at the straw hat boy. Luffy just grinned and changed the subject. But Kid knew the answer to the last question. Yes.

"When are we eating?!"

Letting out a sigh Kid held up his bag of food and walked into their kitchen. Though it could be his kitchen since he seemed to be the only one that used it. He took out all the ingredients and began to chop them up and make them a simple dinner. He wasn't in the mood to be making something so complicated. Then about half an hour later, the food was done and Law walked in with blood over his hands. Just the thought of it being the young kids blood made Kid flinch. Though he didn't scare easy, it was something about that kid.

"How is he?"

Kid didn't make eye contact with Law as he walked in and over to the sink to wash the blood off his hands. He just continued to plate up the sashimi.

"He'll be fine Eustass-ya. Where did you find him?"

"He was sitting outside the door, hardly breathing"

"Yeah, he was near death when you brought him in. But he should be fine now"

Luffy was already stuffing his mouth with food and Law was eating at a well mannered pace while Kid picked at his food losing his appetite after seeing the blood.

"Oi, Trafalgar, that was the kids blood right?"

The surgeon paused for a moment before just giving him a nod and continuing to eating his food. Luffy just gave a large grin completely confused about everything that was going on.

"But it's okay right?! He's alive!"

Luffy was right. They didn't have to worry about him right now. He was stable.

"I just wonder though... Where did he come from?"

Law and Luffy looked at Kid who continued to pick at his food, ignoring the gaze of his roommates. They all knew the town like the back of their hand but not once had they come across anyone that looked like the kid.

"He could be from out of town! Or a runaway!"

Luffy called out but the others shrugged. There had to be a reason right? Why a young boy like him would come to their place at night, covered in blood. He could have gone to the hospital or grabbed someone on the street, they would have helped him.

"Maybe we just haven't seen him because this towns gotten so big. It's not like it was a few years ago"

Law had lived here his whole life and he was right. The kid could have been someone new.

"We should find his parents. They're probably worried"

"We'll ask him when he wakes up"

As if on Que, the young brown haired boy walked into the kitchen. One hand rubbing his left eye in a sleepy way, the other was balled in a fist pushed against his heart, almost protective. He was still pale and had no color to his body but he was now wearing a shirt far too large for him that it could have easily been a dress on a girl. It was just one of Laws that Law had put on hims after the operation. Kid got up from his seat and walked over to the kid. He showed no emotion as he sat down in front of the child and looked him in the eyes.

"Who are you?"

Kid looked down at him, his eyes narrowing making the boy feel scared and his eyes well with tears.

"You'll scare him Kid!!"

Luffy called out and tackled him to the ground. This only made the little boy giggle softly. Luffy grinned and sat in front of the boy.

"I'm Monkey D Luffy! Who are you?!"

The young boy stayed silent for a moment. The silence dragging on as they all looked at him.

"R-Ryuuji... B-But call me Ryuu. Please don't hurt me.."

Law looked over at the child. His heart pounding as Ryuu told them his name. Ryuu was now looking at the ground, he was scared and Law could tell that just from the look on his face. Though he was trying to smile, it wasn't working.

'I would be scared too if I was him. Having too idiot's throwing themselves around like... Idiots"

Kid glared at Law, breaking him from his thoughts. The look Kid gave Law was unlike the other times. This one, he seemed concerned about the kid, Ryuu. But not only that, he seemed protective. A glare of warning to Law to not touch the kid. Breaking their gaze, Kid picked up the small boy and got to his feet. He was trying to be as un-scary as he could. Even though it failed, the boy didn't even seem fazed by this man who was two hundred times his size picking him up and holding him against his toned chest. In fact, he gave a soft smile.

"What you name?"

"Eh? Oh, it's Eustass Kid"

"E... Euta Kwid?"

Kid twitched.

"Eustass Kid. It seems too hard for you. Just call me Kid"

The boy looked up at him and grinned.

"KWIDDY!"

Law couldn't help but fall off his chair laughing at Ryuu's innocence towards the matter. Kid glared down but Ryuu kept on smiling, though it looked like he could start crying at any second he was smiling so widely even while Kid glared at him. But part of his smile seemed fake. Or that's what Law thought

Kid was feeling pretty pissed off at that moment. Well, he wanted to but for some reason, he didn't mind the pint sized kid calling him that stupid name. In fact, he just happy that the kid have given him a nickname. Although it was stupid he was just a child, and judging by the state he was in he might not have the best home for learning. Luffy and Law continued to laugh while Ryuu just grinned at the red haired man.

"You..."

Kid sighed.

"It's late for a pint size. You should sleep, we can talk in the morning and see if we can find your parents ae?"

As soon as Kid said that last part the young boys face fell. Law stopped laughing and looked at him. Ryuu's lip began to quiver and his eyes welled with tears again. One spilling out over his now clean cheeks. The boy still looked ill, but also looked happy. Well he did before Kid made him cry. The flow of tears began to run down his face as he struggled out of Kids grasp. He jumped to the ground and landed square on his feet before he ran off down the hall. Law, Kid and Luffy all followed the sound of Ryuu's crying till they found him leaning against a wall silent once again. Law bent down and picked up the limp child in his arms.

"He passed out..."

"What the hell was that?! Fucking kid just started crying for no reason!"

Kid was pissed now.

"He's a kid, Eustass-ya. We don't have any idea of what has happened to him. You and your big mouth always fuck things up"

Law sighed and walked out of the room leaving Kid to scream at him to get back and fight him.

"Sleep in here tonight"

Law tucked the child into his own bed, pushing the Bepo plushy into the child's arms. For some reason, something he didn't understand, he felt protective over this child. But not like an older brother or a father would. More like a lover would. Ryuu smiled and hugged the toy in his arms. Just like that, he had already put two strong, feared, students under his spell. His innocence seemed more than the three of them could handle on their own..

"We'll take care of you Ryuu-ya. Just till we find your home"

Ryuu was snoring softly. Completely unaware of what was happening around him. And all three of them, completely unaware of their own feelings.
