It was quite the fight as Lucy lay on the floor of the cave knocked out by the powerful dark magic of one of the dark guild wizards that they had been tracking. These were not normal wizards either; they were from an S class assignment with demonic powers that made her celestial powers seem like child’s play. Still Loke her faithful Lion stood strong and had damn near destroyed the wizard in front of him for hurting his beloved Lucy. Loke was in bad shape though and although he knew he should have gone to the celestial world to heal he couldn’t leave Lucy vulnerable.
Natsu was practically bringing the mountain down on top of them as he and Gray went after the other two wizards with Erza using The Knight with her sword magic at maximum power to attack the guild master who was pummeling the inside of this cave with dark magic.
Loke knew the others would take care of those dark guild bastards, but just in case they did not come back soon he would not leave Lucy. Loke felt weak from the amount of power he had used and could feel his life force starting to slip. Still he swore on his life he would not leave Lucy even if it meant his death. Loke was in love with Lucy and would do anything for her.
Suddenly the rocks started to tumble down as the cave started to collapse. Loke rushed over as quickly as he could and lifted Lucy into his strong arms rushing her out of the cave before it collapsed as he jumped what seemed several feet down into the river below. Loke really hated water and swam as best as he could to get them both to safety. It took a valiant effort to pull them both out of the water since the current threatened to take them further away.
Placing Lucy in the forest away from the battle Loke laid down dripping wet trying to rest a bit while still keeping an eye on the unconscious young woman. Lucy had taken quite a hit to the back of the head and Loke worried she may not wake up. He could not afford to lose her, she was his life and he practically worshiped her.
Loke couldn’t move to save his life at this point since his powers were waning. He was so tired and his body hurt. No matter how hard he tried to stay awake, Loke finally fell into blackness.
Natsu, Gray, and Erza came out of the practically destroyed mountain after defeating their opponents. The former guild master was dead; there had been no other choice if Erza had wanted to live. The other three dark wizards were buried under the rubble. No one had the chance to save them so Natsu was cursing and Gray walked in silence saying a quiet prayer for the dead. They hoped Lucy got out alright as they looked for her with Natsu freaking out since he could not afford to lose Lucy.
Using his sense of smell Natsu was able to find Lucy who looked like she was in bad shape, but not as bad as Loke who was lying next to her barely breathing. Erza was almost afraid to move them and Natsu was damn near tears since he refused to lose any members of Fairy Tale.
Grey tore off his shirt ripping it into strips as he wrapped the young woman’s wounds being especially careful with her head. Then he did the same with Loke who had a gaping hole in his chest. None of them understood why Loke had not gone to the spirit world to heal since he was going to possibly die if he did not.
Natsu carried Loke with Grey carrying Lucy back to the boats that would take them home. Natsu, Gray, and Erza were also wounded, but nowhere nearly as bad as Loke or Lucy.
“I shouldn’t have left her on her own.”
Natsu snarled out since he was furious with himself. He knew these guys were serious and that they had enough power to really put up a good fight. Natsu had actually been worried for a while that he would lose. Grey had also been a bit stressed since Natsu normally was unstoppable and Natsu had actually been out of commission for a time leaving Grey to have to finish most of the battle on his own.
“It wasn’t your fault Natsu. At least we all are ok. I can’t say that for those others. It is unfortunate since I don’t like taking lives.”
Erza was ready to go back home and did not want to think of those people who died. Sure their enemies wanted to kill them, but Fairy Tale was not the kind of guild that purposely went around killing people.
“Come on Lucy, wake up.”
Gray pleaded as he noticed the blood pooling from the back of her head. How hard did she get hit? She was still breathing which was good, but Loke’s breath was shallow and weak. They had to get these two to Poluchka, she knew what to do.
After reaching the shore the three hurried into town to the guild going straight to the infirmary. There the Master noted how badly the two children were injured and told Levy to go get Poluchka immediately. Mirajane got out the bandages and removed Loke’s jacket, shirt, and tie rewrapping hi s wound in his chest noting that there were several other lacerations and the young man was losing blood rather rapidly. His head also must have hit something since there was blood coming from his temple that she wrapped.
There was no point for modesty as Mirajane removed those wet pants of Loke’s and noticed with a blush that the young man wore no under things. His hip was damaged and his right knee was terribly bruised as if he fell from somewhere high.
Lucy also had her things removed after Mirajane placed the blanket over Loke as she checked for wounds, elsewhere finding that the girl did indeed have some serious bruising, but nothing looked broken. The cut on the back of her head had also stopped bleeding, but Mirajane still cleaned it off and wrapped the poor girl’s head wishing Lucy would wake up. Lucy needed to send Loke back to the spirit world.
After Levy got Poluchka who was not happy about having to leave her home, the elderly woman took a look at the two wounded children. The Master shooed everyone out of the room other than himself and Poluchka.
“The girl will be fine. She should wake soon, but this boy is not in good shape. I will do my best to save him, but there are no promises Markarov.”
Poluchka said as she created a potion of sorts and used her magic to heal the boy’s wound as best she could. The flesh started to close, but the bleeding would not stop for some time. If the boy did not bleed to death internally it would be a miracle.
“Loke is a celestial spirit; he should be able to heal if he can get back to his world.”
Master Dreyar said hoping Lucy would wake soon so she could send him back.
“That would be best, but for now I will see what I can do for him. If he cannot leave I cannot guarantee he will live.”
Poluchka shooed Master Dreyar away as she took care of the two young people. Natsu was going nuts fighting with Grey who was trying to get Natsu to calm down. It wasn’t their fault that Lucy was injured and Erza finally had to knock Natsu out to get him to not go back to take care of the rest of that guild.
“Lucy will be fine my children. There is no need to fight. Right now we just need to hope for Loke and pray he gets well. By the way, what happened on your assignment Erza?”
Master Dreyar asked as Erza sat and told him the bad news. Four members of the dark guild were now dead and there was nothing they could do about it. They had not even had enough time to do a burial for them. Master Dreyar frowned and nodded. He would take care of this since his children were too injured to do it themselves.
Jellal arrived to see Erza after finding out about the assignment she took. He was concerned for his beloved’s well being since they had made up from the past and were now hopelessly in love with one another. Jellal wrapped an arm around Erza who looked sad about the dark guild members who had died as she worried for Loke. Only a few members knew of Loke’s status as a celestial spirit.
Natsu got up finally from being knocked out and sat pouting at everyone. Today simply sucked and he was not happy. Erza said Lucy would be fine, but Loke was in bad shape. Natsu wanted to rush up to the infirmary to wake Lucy, but no one would let him go.
Mirajane who had been watching over Lucy and Loke rushed up to Master Dreyar to let him know Lucy was waking up. Master Dreyar nodded and told Mirajane he would be there shortly. Poluchka finished doing what she could for Loke and got ready to leave. The boy would be fine if he could get to the spirit world, if not than he could not be moved for any reason until he was well again lest it reopen the wounds. If he lived through the night if he was stuck here it would be a miracle.
Lucy woke up with her head feeling like someone had smashed it with a baseball bat. It hurt so badly and when she tried to sit up Mirajane told her to lie back down.
“Where are Natsu, Erza, and Grey?”
Lucy asked not even thinking about Loke who she figured went back to the spirit world. She owed Loke a lot and would figure out a reward for him when he showed up again. Loke always wanted to go on a date with her, and this time she would let him plus pay for them even if Loke threw a fit. Lucy figured since Natsu and Grey were a couple now, shocking everyone that the two were gay that she couldn’t go after Natsu again. Really Natsu had been the one she set her heart on, but the guy was clueless when it came to women. No one figured he and Gray would end up falling in love considering the two of them fought all the time.
Loke had always been there for Lucy and always such a gentleman although a bit perverted. She did not know how their relationship was going to work. He was a celestial spirit and would never age. Loke would always be handsome and dashing so Lucy felt it best to just stay friends. However, when Natsu was out of reach Lucy started noticing things she did not notice before about her handsome Leo. He was always there for her even when she did not call for him and he always proclaimed his undying love for her. Not once had he said he did not love her and that kind of thing was hard to resist after a while.
Really the only two girls in the guild without boyfriends were Lucy and Mirajane. Mirajane liked to keep her options open and her brother Elfman was so protective of her that it was hard for Mirajane to find a date that he approved of. Lucy just did not want to be with just anyone and she was a virgin so to her being with someone intimately was a big deal.
Turning her head Lucy saw Loke lying on the bed next to her and he looked terrible. He was so pale and his breathing was shallow. Mirajane tried to hold Lucy down, but Lucy would not do so ignoring her head as she yelled at Loke to wake up. He had to wake so she could send him back. The only way to get him to the spirit world was to get him to wake and to have him agree to go back on his own.
Lucy was going to shake him, but Mirajane stopped her as the girl ignored her own state of undress sobbing that Loke had to wake in order for her to send him back. Mirajane said if they moved him he would die and Lucy fell to her knees as she begged Loke to wake sobbing into her hands.
“Loke please wake up! Please!”
Lucy begged as she sobbed and sobbed. If he died she did not know what she would do. The spirits would never forgive her and she would never forgive herself. It wasn’t until this moment that Lucy realized she loved him, truly loved Loke. Lucy would be so lost without her beloved Lion.
Mirajane wrapped a blanket around Lucy as Lucy held Loke’s hand. He was always so strong and so sweet with a heart of gold. Lucy just could not imagine life without him. Lucy decided to try one thing and if this did not work she would find another way to save him.
Lucy called up all her celestial power trying to send it into Loke’s body to send him back. Instead it brought up all her celestial spirits who looked in worry at Loke.
“Please send Loke to the celestial world!”
Lucy chanted over and over again as her spirits looked down at the girl begging to send Loke to where he could heal. None of them could help her with this as even stubborn Aquarius sobbed softly. Loke was going to possibly die and none of them wanted this. The King of the Celestial world looked down at his old friend knowing this time there was nothing he could do. Until Loke awoke he could not come home.
“Lucy, child you are going to use up all your powers.”
The celestial King said as Lucy sobbed still chanting.
“I don’t care! I have to save him! Please send him back! Please! I am begging you!”
Lucy sobbed pleading with the King who sighed as he did try to bring Loke back with the powers of his own glowing with hers. Nothing was working.
“I am sorry but I have used my powers to bring him back to our world and they are not working. He is willing himself to stay here for some reason child. None of us can help you further. We shall pray that he will wake soon and if not that he will be well again. That is the most we can do.”
The spirit King said as he disappeared and the others left to.
“NO!!!!!!!!! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!”
Lucy screamed as she begged anyone to help her. She yelled at Loke to wake up over and over again until her voice was hoarse. Lucy sobbed laying her head against Loke’s hand as her tears poured down.
Natsu ran up the stairs with all the yelling to find Lucy on the floor on her knees with only a blanket covering her holding Loke’s hand. Gray followed by Ezra and Jellal who looked at the girl on the floor who was falling apart.
“Loke you are so stubborn! Please I love you! You need to wake up! I can’t let you die!”
Lucy sobbed and Natsu came to her side holding Lucy in his arms as he watched his friend suffer wishing he could help. Natsu hated feeling helpless.
“Oh Lucy…….”
Erza said as she placed a gentle hand on the girl.
“Please, just let us alone. I want to be alone with him now.”
Lucy said as Erza nodded and Natsu frowned as he left with Gray who knew better than to touch his lover right now. Natsu did not understand how to deal with grief other than to beat something up and Gray was too beat up from the day’s fight to fight with Natsu right now.
Luckily Gajeel arrived to taunt Natsu giving the young man the fire he needed to get his frustrations out as the two brawled. The dragon slayers had the whole guild fighting with Gray fighting to stay out of the fray this time.
Fried stood in the corner blocking everyone off from him with his wall magic with Evergreen turning a bunch of people to stone only to have Ezra force her to change them back. Bickslow had his babies attacking everyone while he stood laughing and Laxus jumped into the fray this time after the two dragon slayers zapping the hell out of them both. They would destroy Grandpa’s guild at this rate.
If this chaos was not normal someone might have said something about it, but no one was going to stop it this time. Gray unfortunately got throw into the fight with him deciding to freeze anyone who fucking touched him. He hurt and he was in no mood for battle.
Master Dreyar simply walked past everyone to go see Lucy figuring the children would wear themselves out on their own this time. It was just a good thing they had plenty of first aid items and maybe this ruckus would wake Loke.
Lucy was still on the floor holding Loke’s hand praying he would wake. Master Dreyar came over to the child and looked at that tear stained face. He had hoped Loke would wake as well, but the young man still lay upon the bed as still as stone with his breathing so shallow that it was almost as if the boy was not breathing at all.
“Lucy come child and rest. There is nothing you can do for him now other than get well.”
Master Dreyar said as he urged Lucy to get up on the bed however she refused to let go of Loke’s hand as she watched her beloved Lion keeping awake until Master Dreyar did a spell making the young woman sleep. The spell would wake Lucy if Loke awoke, but it would help her sleep at least until Master Dreyar returned.
Loke was between worlds with his soul trying to leave his body. He could feel the spirit world calling him, but he could not wake for anything. He also wanted to make sure Lucy was alright, but it seemed impossible to open his eyes.
In this dream like state Loke could see Lucy calling out to him and then the dream changed. He was with Lucy and they had a family. Loke could see his children and Lucy was his wife. It was impossible of course since celestial spirits could not bear children. Still it was a wonderful dream and Loke did not want to wake up. His son had wild red hair like his own and his daughter had beautiful blonde hair in little pigtails looking like her Mother. Loke could see his lovely wife was pregnant with their next child glowing like a perfect Angel. How Loke wanted children of his own and a family. As a lion he wanted a pride with his legacy being brought to life.
Loke knew lions normally had several females, but he would be satisfied with one. Loke would be happy if Lucy would only love him back a little. Loke did not want to be Lucy’s friend any more. He wanted to be her husband and swore that no man was going to take his Lucy away. Even if they never had children, Loke wanted to live and die with his dearest love.
In the dream he was being pulled away by a bright light as he fought to stay in that dream. A voice spoke to him softly in the brightness telling him to let go, that it was ok to move forward, but Loke refused he would not go into that light no matter how tempting it was since the music there was so beautiful and voices, familiar voices were calling him. They were the voices of people who died as his former celestial wizard came to him. Karen Lilica was asking him to come to her and that she forgave him. Loke forgave Karen, but to hear her forgive him was wonderful. Still he did not want to leave. Loke wanted to stay.
A hand pulled him into the light although he was fighting to remain behind it was strong though and started yanking him upwards into a place of clouds and Angels. Loke stood in his suit in front of Karen and others he had known. People he had fought and people who had died before him.
“Hello Loke. Welcome to heaven.”
Karen said as she stood with wide dove like wings wearing a gown all in white looking happy and beautiful.
“Am I dead?”
Loke asked since he knew this place was nothing like the spirit world he was from.
“Yes Loke. However you will not be dead long. You have unfinished business. You will die for a while and your body will heal itself with Lucy’s magic. She has sent all her magic to you through her slumber.”
Karen said and Loke sighed. He couldn’t let Lucy do that. She would lose all her powers trying to keep him alive.
“Let Lucy do this for you. She wants to and she is meant to do this for you. When she is done you will be whole and you will have something no other celestial spirit has. You will have the power of humanity. Your dream will come true and you will have children of your own. You will not age and you will keep your powers. In turn for her gift she will be able to travel into the celestial world with you. In fact she will be a celestial spirit which will benefit you both since you are both wizards as well.”
Karen explained since she wanted what was best for Loke who looked at Karen in shock. He did not know that this was going to happen. It seemed unfair that he had to die for this to occur, but he would be forever grateful to Lucy.
“Will I remember any of this when I return from heaven?”
Loke asked wondering if like some people he would retain some memories of this place or would he die with no memory of anything.
“What fun would it be if you remembered everything we said here? The King of the celestial world will grant her this gift as a wedding present at that time. I just hope you are not slow on the uptake when it comes to asking her to marry you. She loves you.”
Karen showed Loke the moments of Lucy sitting by his bed sobbing for him to wake telling him she loved him. It warmed his heart and now he knew he loved Lucy even more. She always looked out for others not caring for herself like she should. His wonderful selfless Lucy.
“It will be time for you to go back soon Loke. You are starting to fade away and then you will not be able to leave here. It is time to wake up.”
Loke felt himself falling so fast that it was frightening. He felt great pain in his chest and a surge of energy flowing through him like nothing else. It felt both good and horrible at the same time. Loke did not want to open his eyes, but a sudden sharp pain made him gasp as his eyes flew open.
Lucy woke when Loke did and it was dark out. Loke did not say a word, but Lucy did.
“Loke please wake up……..I’m begging you……….I don’t want you to die……..”
Lucy said since she was unable to see his face. The guild was quiet and there was no light to be seen.
“I’m awake Lucy.”
Loke choked out since he hurt so badly and at that Lucy rushed from her bed wrapping her arms around Loke. Loke felt those full breasts naked against his skin wishing to god he was feeling better since he had only dreamed of having them on his naked flesh. Then he realized he was naked and unfortunately his perverted side was making him hard as Lucy crawled into bed with him holding him in her arms.
“I thought you were going to die.”
Lucy sobbed as she ignored her state of undress to hold this man she loved.
Loke wrapped his arms around Lucy holding her and kissing her tear stained face. He hated it when women would cry and he did not want to make Lucy cry.
“I am alive Lucy and I won’t die on you. However I would die to protect you. I love you.”
Loke said as he pulled her lips to his own giving her a gentle kiss.
“Loke I love you too. I really do love you. Please don’t scare me like this again. Please go to the spirit world and heal yourself. I can’t bear to see you in pain.”
Lucy begged although Loke had no intention of going anywhere. He had a naked woman he loved in his arms and he had dreamed about this too long to let a simple wound keep him from sleeping with his beloved. He couldn’t make love to her like he wanted, but he wanted to hold her at least for a while longer.
“I will go soon, but I want to hold you until you go to sleep. Please Lucy, just let me hold you.”
Loke asked as he kissed that face again wrapping an arm about her waist pulling her further against him. God she smelled so good and he could feel all of her against him. Those gorgeous legs, that full bosom, those sinful hips, and that little pussy up against his leg with those little golden curls he longed to see.
Lucy nodded and closed her eyes feeling safe and warm. She loved this man so much and swore she would go on a date with him when he was well. She knew he had wanted to court her and she would allow that now. Lucy was tired of being alone when all of her friends were with someone. Lucy knew she would get old and die before Loke, but that did not matter. Lucy loved him.
As Lucy slept Loke wished it was daylight so he could see this beautiful body laying next to him. In fact he planned on waiting until first light to leave to the celestial world. He had to see her face and see that body just once before going to his world for a while. It was going to take at least a few days to get well again and he wanted to spend as much time as he could with the woman he loved before going to his lonely apartment in the celestial world to play dead for the next three days.
