   He had his orders from Lord Myotismon. He was to stop the digidestined at all costs from getting their crests to glow. He had squashed the little one's hopes, and broken his brothers friendship, his next goal was to make sure that the one with the Biyomon never loved again. He had spent weeks traveling and searching for her. It had started just after the Agumon brat was sucked into the portal after Etemon's destruction, he watched, waited and schemed under Myotismon's orders of course, and took note of which direction each one went. He started with the little one, breaking his hope to pieces and moving on to his mission for the Gabumon brat.
   It took a week of traveling before he got word that he was at Digitamamon's diner. That trip was made in a few days and he effectively broke his friendhsip with the Gomamon brat. Now he was on the search for Biyomon's human. Months spent tracking her, watching her as she tried the heal the rift between her friends, and ultimately failing for various reasons. He was just getting the familiar feeling in his loins that he needed to go find Gatomon and rile her up for their ritual of hate sex when he heard the sounds of a waterfall up ahead. He had been tracking Biyomon this way so he changed his mind and went after her, perhaps he could take her unawares and have his fun without too much hassle.

   Days later, the group comes across the rest of the digidestined and join up with them, only for Myotismon to appear, drawn there by the signals of two of his lieutenants mixing with the signals of the digidestined. "What are you two doing here?" he asks crossing his arms over his dracula like suit.
   "We quit." they both say at once and step forward to protect the kids. Myotismon gets ready to attack and the two formerly evil digimon run forward. Gatomon grabs Demidevimon by the claw, a move they had practiced in the past. "BAT CLAW" she shouts swinging Demidevimon around and throwing him at their ex boss.
   "CRIMSON LIGHTNING" he says and wraps Demidevimon in his red bolt of power. Sora clutches her fist and Biyomon flies forward, the digivice glows and Birdramon appears out of the light coming from Biyomons body. Myotismon throws Demidevimon at the ground and uses Crimson Lightning again.
   "BIRDRAMON NO, I LOVE YOU" she shouts as her crest glows and caused Birdramon to digivolve into Garudamon.
   The kids manage to get away from the battle with the help of Garudamon and eventually make it to a clearing where Gatomon takes Joe away once Gomamon is asleep that night. She gives birth to a litter of Dark Salamons which would eventually grow up to be BlackGatomon's and if nature allowed, Lilithmon's
   A few weeks later, they are in the real world, and Gatomon finds Kari. They partner up and take care of Myotismon after that. Demidevimon decides to become Kari's partner as well, and in an unprecedented show, he manages to produce a digivice, making Kari the first digidestined ever with two digimon.
   In their battle with Venommyotismon, Kari manages to get Demidevimon to evolve into Devimon, the very same one that attacked them on File island, Angemon was about to attack him when Devimon opened his arms and allowed it to happen. "I deserve it, but I assure you, I am on your side now." He says looking down at his partner. "This girl, has shown me the light, and while I am a devil, it is only right for her to have a demon and an angel on her side."
   Angemon still punches him but they are able to work together from there.
