A Goddess Reborn
(A Saiyuki Fanfic)
Raido scratched her head and she couldn't help but smile as Goku fought
the demons. "Oh wow, looks like he's enjoying himself." She couldn't help but
laugh to herself.
"Priestess"¦" She stopped when she heard the voice and she looked over
her shoulder to see a long red haired figure leaning up against a wall round
the corner and she blinked for a moment.
"Kougaiji?" She walked towards the corner and she stopped seeing him
standing there leaning up against the wall his arms crossed and his head
lowered.
"So finally we meet." He looked over at her.
She looked over to where Goku was fighting.
"I know he'll be finished shortly, but I thought we might have a word
first."
"Ummm okay"¦" She looked back to him. "But we really have to fetch
Tejas."
"It's okay, Yaone and Lirin are keeping her company, she's getting
something to eat."
Raido let her head drop. "So long as I don't have to pay, she's made
more broke twice a fast as I should have been from my income."
Kougaiji tossed her a pouch and she caught it and opened it up looking
at the gold coins. "Kougaiji"¦"
He caught her baffled expression. "For looking after Tejas for me,
she's very important to me and my step mother would do anything to get her
hands on her and that scripture you carry."
Raido's eyes narrowed. "The scripture again, you better not mention the
scripture round Tejas, she's had enough of it." She warned.
"Personally Tejas's safety is more important to me than that scripture,
but I follow my step mother's orders." Kougaiji pushed himself off the wall.
"Still we need to have a word, so follow me."
Raido stuck the pouch in her pocket and she followed Kougaiji through
the alleyway. She looked at Dokugakuji as she passed him he just smiled at her.
"I understand you've been having some problems with my younger
brother."
Raido pulled a cigarette out of her pocket and lit it up as she walked.
"He's nothing I can handle. What I want to know it why the interest in talking
to me."
Kougaiji looked over his shoulder at her as they walked. "You'll find
out soon enough."
Raido just sighed. "Yeah okay whatever, just hurry up okay."
~*~*~*~
"IT'S MIIIINE!" Tejas grabbed the meat bun and she shot Lirin a glare,
the two demon girls glared at each other hugging their respective plates. "And don't you get any ideas either cause
I'm hungry!"
"Well I'm hungry too, you greedy guts!" Lirin shouted.
"Nah uh I'm hungrier!" Tejas replied.
"I doubt it! I am!" Lirin argued back.
The two girls continued to argue as they ate while Yaone sat there her
eyes closed a smile across her face.
"Why me?' She asked herself mentally before the two girls began
stuffing their respective plate full of food down their mouths as fast as
possible paranoid that the other would eat their plate.
"Now you two can't you just behave till Lord Kougaiji gets here?" Yaone
asked.
"We are behaving." Lirin looked at her.
"Yes but you're both attracting attention." Yaone pointed out.
"We're demons of course we'll attract attention." Tejas smiled. "But
that's okay, I'm really hungry so if they don't get me more food I'll threaten
to eat them next."
"Nuh uh I'll eat them first!"
"No you won't!"
"Yes I will!"
"I'm hungrier!"
"No I am!"
"I'm travelling with a Sanzo Priestess so I have to share my food so I
say I'm hungrier!"
The owner gasped before hurriedly bringing more plates out to the
table. "There we go miss, I hope it's to your liking!"
Tejas tried a bite and a smile crossed "Oh wow this is good!"
"Hey what about me I'm hungry too!" Lirin protested.
The owner gulped before rushing off and bringing back more plates.
"Alright! Finally a place with decent service!"
Yaone let out a defeated sigh. "I don't have enough to pay for this
bill,' She realised mentally.

Cyran lent on the windowsill of the room while the others sat around
playing mah jong.
"Hey honey are you alright?" Gojyo asked.
"Tejas, Goku and Raido have been gone a while, I didn't get to pass on
my message to Raido about Kougaiji looking for her."
The other's stopped playing for a moment. "Kougaiji's looking for her?"
Hakkai asked.
"Damnit I bet hair do wants the scripture." Gojyo added.
"He won't find it on her, she stores it within her power limiter he
won't figure that out." Vayu pointed out.
Cyran nodded. "Yeah but I still didn't get time to tell her he wanted
to meet her today."
"He's with her now, it's okay." Vayu took a tile from the board and
added it to her pile before placing another from her collection back on the
board.
Hakkai just smiled. "Oh wow good move Vayu."
"Damnit she picks this game up fast." Sanzo complained.
Vayu grinned at him. "Well I can't help it."
"How do you do it?" Hakkai looked at her.
Vayu just smiled. "Well I'm not sure how to explain it, I've just had
this knack for stuff like this form when I was little."
Cyran continued to stare out the window. "So you're not really worried
about her then?"
"She's a big girl, she can take care of herself honey." Gojyo replied.
"If you're so worried about her, you can go look for her." Sanzo added.
Cyran turned round and looked at him. "Fine I will then!" She stood up
and walked out of the room.
Vayu blinked for a moment watching Cyran leave and she looked at Sanzo.
"Her energies were starting to annoy me." He remarked as if it explained
everything.
Vayu lit her cigarette and just nodded. "She annoys me constantly."
Hakkai just smiled. "Now I'm sure there's something positive about her.
That you would miss."
Vayu looked at him as he smiled her eyes flat. "You have yet to share a
room with her don't you."
Gojyo grinned. "Oh trust me I already have."
Hakkai just smiled. "No more details needed okay?"
Cyran found herself outside looking up at the sky. "Sometimes I miss
our life up there"¦ what are we trying to accomplish down here though?' She
asked herself. "I played around I helped them get reincarnated what more is
there for me down here?'
~*~ FLASH BACK ~*~
Perth was walking the hallways of heaven with Dagas, Laguz and Kana
heading towards the gambling hall that Kenren, and Tenpou had invited them too.
"I'm not much of a gambler"¦" Dagas remarked. "Why was I invited?"
"Kenren likes you that why." Kana pointed out.
"He wants Dagas on his arm while he plays his games, he said it brings
him good luck." Laguz smiled.
Perth smiled. "Serious Dag you should be honoured."
"It's so boring up here." Dagas complained.
Kana stumbled for a bit and she landed on Dagas' shoulder. "Damnit ow!"
She looked don at the heels she wore.
"You okay?" Dagas looked at her.
"Ow, my feet hurt." Kana complained. "Damn these shoes."
Laguz blinked as she looked at Kana. "Then why'd you wear them?"
"They match my dress." Kana replied.
*DOOOIIINNNG*
"Now that's something I'd expect to hear Perth say." Dagas remarked.
"Oooooh low blow." Perth looked at Dagas.
"Heh suck it." Dagas laughed.
"No but I bet Kenren would." Perth winked at her.
Dagas went bright red for a moment before"¦
*THUNK*
"Now that she had coming." Laguz laughed.
Kana sighed leaning on Dagas shoulder. "My feet still hurt though." She
complained.
"Well welcome to the world of the every day woman." Perth smiled.
"I'm going to kill you." Kana vowed.
~*~*~*~
Perth found herself waking up in the early hours and looking over in
the room at Kana lying half on the bed half off sound asleep and she sat up in
her bed when she heard movement outside in the halls and she looked out
watching Laguz tip toeing down the hallway and Perth raised an eyebrow and
watched as the door opened and she blinked seeing Homura step out of the room
and wrap his cape round his shoulders and walk down the hallway in the opposite
direction.
"I don't believe it." Perth whispered and she shut the door.
"Believe it, it's been going on for a few months now." Kana mumbled
before rolling over where she lay.
Perth turned round and looked at her half on the bed half off sleeping.
"I don't understand how you can do that, you just fall asleep where you lie,
it's impossible and uncomfortable."
"And you'd know uncomfortable wouldn't you?" Kana challenged.
Perth raised an eyebrow. "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that come
from your mouth."
"Well face it everyone seems to be finding someone but us." Kana sat up
and she looked at Perth. "Dagas and Kenren, Laguz and Homura."
"So you can see all then, what about me? Do you see anything
interesting for me?" Perth looked at Kana.
"I see a tall dark and handsome man in your future"¦" Kana remarked.
"Ooooh really?" Perth asked excitedly.
"Oh hell no, I'm clairvoyant not psychic."
Perth looked at her with flat eyes. "Stop being completely nasty,
there's no way Tenpou could fall for such a nasty woman."
Kana looked at her. "I'm happy with the way I am."
"Uh huh and every time he's next to you, you just instantly go beet red
and completely silent because you don't like him and you want to keep your
mouth shut." Perth challenged.
"Why I listened to Homura when he suggested that you stay here, is
beyond me." Kana sighed.
Perth walked up to her and she sat down next to the other Goddess.
"Things are hard for me at home, if you're truly clairvoyant then you'd know
what I had to put up with back home."
Kana nodded. "I know and so does Homura, I respect him and his
discissions which is why I'm helping."
Perth looked at her. "We've never truly been friends I always feel like
I'm on the outside with you, Dagas and Laguz, but you three as sad as it sounds
treat me like a normal Goddess not this thing that they can use and abuse, so
thank you for that."
Kana smiled and she nodded. "You annoy me more than ninety five percent
of the day, but you are a friend okay."
"Then listen to this friend and damn well get it going on with Tenpou
before he's snatched up you crazy thing!"
"Okay make that twenty four hours seven days a week." Kana added with a
grumble.
~*~*~*~
Tenpou was walking the hallways with Kenren. "So you just let her go?"
He asked.
Kenren shrugged. "It's not like I can't find someone else you know
that."
Tenpou smiled. "That's probably right, but the question is do you want
to?"
"Oh trust me I have needs and if they can't fulfil my needs then they
can go and I won't stop them." He stopped seeing Perth walk round a corner and
she stopped looking at the two of them a letter in her hands.
Tenpou smiled at her and she looked up at him. "Perth why the long
face, it doesn't suit you."
She looked up at him and offered him a smile, but he could tell it
wasn't a genuine smile, he'd seen her smiles and it was enough to make men like
Kenren next to him fawn, but even Tenpou noticed Kenren looking at her with
concern.
"It's a letter from your families friends isn't it?" He asked.
She held the letter up. "Is Kana around I need to talk to her?"
"We saw her ten minutes ago heading towards Homura's room with Laguz."
Kenren replied. "You don't want to interrupt that honey trust me."
Perth sighed. "They're demanding I come home and are going to send some
of my uncles to come and get me." She shook her head. "I don't want to go home,
they treat me like I'm some kind of outsider, at least the Gods here are a
little bit nicer to me."
Tenpou smiled. "Okay then, c'mon lets got find them together then." He
put a comforting arm around her shoulder and he looked at Kenren who just
sighed as he shoved his hands in to his pockets.
"Yea yeah okay I'm coming."
Perth smiled. "Thanks."
"Now that's a better smile." Tenpou smiled back.
The two older Gods led the younger one down the hall towards Homura's
room and they stopped outside hearing voices.
Laguz went bright red as she held her ear and Kana started fake
coughing in the background "coughgetaroomcough'.
"Shuddup"¦" Laguz whined.
"C'mon lets go I know the perfect exit." Kana looked at her.
"Oh yeah right you're sense of direction is almost as great as
Dagas'." Laguz gave her a sidelong glance.
Kana glared at her and held up a single piece of chocolate. "You want this?"
"Oh Chocolate"¦" Laguz gave her starry eyes.
"Then go get, go good girl!" Kana threw the chocolate out the door.
Laguz dashed after it and landed not far from it grabbing it and
brushing it down quickly.
"It's still good, it's still good."
*Munch*
Kenren blinked looking down at the pink haired Goddess and he looked at
Tenpou flat eyes. "And she got her sex title how?"
"Now Kenren she's still young, don't pick on her."
Laguz looked up at them the chocolate in her mouth and Kenren grinned
able to see right down her top. "Never mind I see now why"¦"
"Uh?" Laguz looked at him then down before sho held her top to her
chest. "Bad Kenren don't look." She scolded.
He just smiled. "Sorry honey but with a top like that I just can't help
it." He smiled.
She frowned. "I'm for Homura-sama and him alone."
Kana looked at Homura. "See
you in the mortal world then."
She walked through the door closing it behind her.
Kana stopped seeing Tenpou standing there and he looked at her. "So
you're leaving then?"
"I uh"¦ it's just that"¦ ahhhh"¦ well it's like this"¦"
He smiled as he held up his hand. "If you have to go then you can I
have no qualms about it, but Perth here has a problem."
Kana blushed as she nodded. "We'll do this as a group, I promise, we'll
find Dagas, indulge in her whole new life then bring her back. We graduated
together, we're friends forever okay?"
Perth just nodded. "You do what you have to do, don't worry about me
okay, I'm sure I'll survive."
Laguz gave her a hug. "We'll be back I promise, if not you have
permission to find us and we can hang out together again kay?"
"So you're leaving now?" Perth asked.
"Yeah." Kana just nodded.
Tenpou looked at Kana. "I haven't had an assistant like you before, the
place will be a mess with you gone, you know that?"
Kana just smiled. "I bet you it's in a mess at the moment."
Tenpou just smiled rubbing behind his neck smiling his typical carefree
smile that she loved. "Well about that"¦"
Perth looked at the two and she smiled before pushing Kana in the back
and in to Tenpou who caught her.
"Just say good bye damn you don't be a prune!"
Laguz clapped her hands. "Yay!"
Kenren rolled his eyes. "Bout time if you ask me."
Tenpou looked at Kenren then at Kana as she looked up at him. "I don't
know what to say"¦"
"How about a just, see you later?" Kana asked. "I don't do good-byes
very well."
"Unless you hate the person then it's a screw you asshole and you flip
them the bird." Laguz offered.
Perth elbowed her. "Shush you'll ruin the moment."
Tenpou caught the blush on Kana's cheeks. "If you're gone to long I'll
have to come looking for you, you do know that?"
She nodded. "I know, I just wish I could tell you where I'll be because
even I don't know, who knows with Dagas, she moves and jumps about so much."
Tenpou just held Kana in his arms as she rested there her face blushing
a bright red.
"Should we give you two a moment?" Kenren teased.
"Don't make him mad, he's scary when he's mad." Laguz hissed at him.
"C'mon nothing to see here, move along!" Perth shoved the two away and
she winked at Kana. "Don't let the opportunity slip away last chances are just
that, last chances." She remarked before shoving Kenren and Laguz round the
corner.
"Hey watch it, stop pushing me." Kenren complained.
"Perth you made me leave my chocolate behind."
"No I didn't you ate it already."
"Oh yeah."
Tenpou just chuckled and he looked at Kana. "It'll be quiet with you
three gone." He remarked.
"Yeah but it's okay, we'll be okay."
Tenpou looked at her and Kana thought she caught the blush on his
cheeks as he lent down to her height and she blinked as he just gave her a
kiss.
"Then consider this a see you later, if it gets too quiet I'll come
looking for you okay?"
Kana was suddenly bright red and she just found herself nodding her
eyes still in shock and he gave her a friendly shove. "Grab Laguz and go before
they notice Dagas gone and then you two won't be able to leave at all."
Kana nodded again stunned before rushing off down the hallway and
grabbing Laguz from around the corner and the two raced off.
Perth stepped out from around the corner and she blinked seeing Homura
standing there behind Tenpou.
"It took a lot of courage to let her go like that." He remarked.
"Ahhhhhh!" Tenpou jumped to the side looking over his shoulder at
Homura. "Don't do that!"
Homura just smiled. "Perth seems to have a problem, she could have gone
with them if she so wished."
"They'll follow me where ever I go, I'm not getting my friends in
danger." She looked to the side.
"A noble cause my dear, then I might have a solution for you."
Perth looked at him suddenly. "Really?"
Homura smiled. "Trust me I know someone who has a habit of taking in
people."
Kenren looked round the corner at Tenpou and the two of them just
smiled knowing instantly who Homura was referring too.
"WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I'M GOING TO TAKE HER IN?!?!?!"
"Konzen she's in trouble." Tenpou remarked, "Please she needs to be
protected and to see that there are people out there who do want to help her
not use her."
Konzen's eyebrow twitched as the angry mark in his golden blonde hair
throbbed. "Fine, but don't expect me to ever do this again, you got that, I
already have a monkey tag along."
"Really you'll help me?!" Perth leapt out from behind a pillar and
jumped on to his back. "Thank you so much!"
Konzen glared at Homura, Tenpou and Kenren. "If she gets out of hand,
I'm going to kill you."
Homura smiled. "Trust me Perth is a good student, she'll behave won't
you my dear?"
Perth looked up from where she'd been looking at Konzen's behind and
she smiled brightly. "Of course."
Konzen looked at her wearily.
~*~*~*~
Perth stood next to the Merciful Goddess looking down on the mortal
world beneath them.
"That's the body Dagas wants to be born from?" Perth raised an eyebrow
watching the woman with a chrome revolver spin the chamber and flip the chamber
open placing a bullet inside before smiling at the man, his robes that of a
devout order.
"But this is where it gets interesting"¦" Merciful Goddess smiled, she
seemed so bored all the time.
She handed him the gun. "It's all ready for you Sanzo." She smiled.
"Now this is what I'm talking about honey." His green eyes sparkled and
his mousy brown hair was pulled back in to a simple pony tail.
"Wow he's a hottie." Perth lent down looking at him and she blinked
suddenly as the Sanzo slung an arm round the woman. "Eh?"
"He's devout alright." Merciful Goddess smiled. "I like this priest
he's so amusing to watch him and his little friends and their journey's round
the country."
"Is he hitting on her?" Perth asked.
"Fraid it's a bit more than that, As Gods we are extremely powerful so
we need that of a powerful nature to nurse the rebirth in to the mortal world,
A Sanzo, demon or extremely powerful spellcaster or warrior blood is what is
required for the rebirth, this Sanzo has two of the three requirements but
Dagas made a little problem, the woman is only a simple warrior and watch this
is where it gets good"¦ she fails"¦"
Perth looked away as the time below seemed to speed up and the woman
went in to an excruciating birth the pain on the woman's face and her screams
for the Sanzo's blood didn't go unheard when the body fell limp and there was a
cry of a child.
She looked back for a moment and looked. The baby was just that of a
normal child, but the energies were so much more different.
"That's not Dagas is it?"
"No but this child's descendent would be a better host for her. A
warrior and a Sanzo descendant, just think of the possibilities"¦" The Goddess
looked at the younger one.
"That is how your mother came to be with us, she was a very devout
human, I spose you were never told this, because of the rules, but it was your
father that made that rule come to be possible."
Perth looked confused for a moment. "My mother"¦" She breathed, "Was a
human?"
"An extremely devout human, she was one of the few females that
obtained true enlightenment and in death was rewarded the life of a God, and
even so she was still considered an outcast to all except your father and to
which it was him you have to thank for you have the power to live in our world
or there's as you choose unlike Dagas, Laguz or Berkana they have to choose a
human form to obtain or to be born from."
"So everything I learned in school that was wrong and impossible, for
me it's possible?" She asked.
"That is why you were given your title, the Goddess of secrets for you
have the biggest secret of us all, you have no limits and no one knows this but
me and your parents friends. They fear the power you could obtain it is safer
here for you. So just relax Konzen will take good care of you."
"I'M NOT A DAMN BODYGUARD!!!" Konzen's shout could be heard from the
back where he was filing papers.
~*~*~*~
Kenren clapped Tenpou on the shoulder and took a seat next to him at
the bar and the two sat there watching the young student God work behind the
bar.
"It's gotten awfully quiet without those girls running up and down the
hallways hasn't it?" Kenren asked.
"Yes and I'm afraid those other Gods are getting rather persistent in
bugging me while I'm working to return Perth to them, I'm not to sure how long
we can keep her here before they cause an uproar." Tenpou took a sip of his
drink.
"Have you ever wondered what it is about her that makes them so
demanding to get her back?" Kenren asked.
"She is the Goddess of secrets and there has to be a certain validation
to that, she must have something big in her past that makes them so determined
to get us to return her. I'm worried that there will be a war over her if she
stays." Tenpou looked down in to his drink.
"You think Dagas, Laguz or Kana could have prevented that?"
"No but they might have had a better chance in standing up for her than
we do, for they're still young and youth is what is needed in something like
this, or at least it's what I feel." Tenpou looked at Kenren as he sculled some
of the sake down.
~*~*~*~
Perth sat in the office of Tenpou and she fidgeted with her hands on
her lap, she admitted he was one of the more unpredictable of the Gods, if you
got on his bad side, but she'd only seen it a few times and it had never been
directed at her, and she well thanked the Gods, the higher up ones that was.
Tenpou entered the room and she blinked at the small congregation that
was there. Tenpou, Kenren, Konzen, Homura, the Merciful Goddess even Goku who
was standing in the doorway looking at her curiously.
"Perth I bet you're wondering why I have called you here today?" Tenpou
asked.
She nodded slowly unsure of what to say to the most unpredictable
hot-tempered of them all well almost... She glanced at Konzen.
"There was an attack on Konzen today someone looking for you, they
didn't know you were actually out with the Merciful Goddess at this stage."
Tenpou spoke.
Perth looked at Konzen whose angry expression that never seemed to
change and she blinked for a moment. "Konzen I'm sorry I didn't..." She began.
"Save it." He remarked.
"What I think Konzen is trying to say is the last thing I think any of
us wanted was for a high ranking honours student from our school to get hurt,
he protected you, and your location Perth, it's okay though I think he upset
them a little." Tenpou explained.
"Since when doesn't he upset someone?" Kenren grumbled.
*WHACK*
Perth cringed as Kenren glared at Konzen before getting in his face
grabbing his collar. "What'd you do that for you asshole."
"Because you deserved it! I was getting sick of you listening to your
own damn voice!" Konzen shouted back.
Goku just smiled before he looked at her. "Homura says if you just wait
a while then we can send you to earth to hide out for a while, though you might
have to move every few years so they don't find you."
Perth looked at them. "Isn't that breaking the rules?" She asked.
"We can't protect you for much longer without there being a war, it
would be best this way." Tenpou looked at her his expression serious. "Perhaps
you could help our should we say escapee students along in a push to remember
who they once were and bring them back here some day."
"Though might I add on my sister's behalf that will take alot of work,
but you were an extortionary student with phenomenal capabilities I'm sure it
won't be too much work for you now will it?" Homura smiled at her.
Perth just smiled back before she stood up. "Then I'm the Goddess for
the job!" She looked at them. "I won't let anyone know the group of you helped
me I promise."
"It's best that they don't know we were involved in any way what so
ever." The Merciful Goddess added.
~*~*~*~
Homua arrived on Earth and he smiled as Perth
looked at him. "This will be your new temporary base, I'm just going to go have
a word with my sister and see what's she's up to."
"Can I come along for just a little bit?" Perth asked.
Homura smiled at her. "I'm sure she'd like to see a familiar face my
dear."
The two easily enough found Dagas sitting on the steps on an inn a
cigarette in her hand and she looked up at them before jumping up and back for
a moment. "Damnit I'm not going back!" She snapped. "I'll get it right this
time."
Homura just smiled. "Don't panic my dear, we're just here for a visit
and a little check up on you."
Dagas narrowed her eyes as she looked at the two wearily. "I don't know
about that."
"It's true Homua is offering that I stay on earth to hide from the
friends of my parents." Perth looked at her.
Dagas blinked. "They're still harassing you?"
"They're threatening to cause a war in heaven, so it's for her safety.
So I hope when you're reborn my dear that if you find her you can take her with
you."
Dagas rubbed the back of her neck and she just nodded. "If that's all
sure why not."
Homura placed a hand on Dagas's shoulder. "That's all"¦"
She watched as he phased out and Perth smiled at her. "Thanks and man I
so totally got saved by Konzen last week he's such a hottie." She winked and
waved before phasing out.
Dagas let her head drop. "Damnit what did he just
talk me in to doing"¦" She sighed.
~*~*~*~
Perth stepped up to the hotel and she stopped seeing a group of four
walking up the road and she looked at Homura.
"Phenomenal a Sanzo priest."
"So the inn's going to get attacked, damnit I should find another one,
I don't need to be where there's attention"¦" Perth sighed.
"I do believe this is the descendant of a Sanzo that Dagas tried to use
to be born from." Homura smiled.
Perth looked at him and she blinked. "It is"¦ He's getting on in years
but he still looks as hot as his ancestor. But those guys they aren't the ones
he left with."
Homura smiled. "You never cease to amaze me my dear Perth, so you've
been observing them and their family line." She looked at him.
"Uhhh it was only for a little while till I found out that, that those
damn Sanzo's are more players than Kenren." She replied her eyes flat. "It's
appalling and at his age too."
Homura just let out a light laugh. "You should be safe here. I'll send
message of when you should shift again."
"Okay." She watched as he phased out.
"Hey did you guys see that?" One of the party asked. Perth looked as he
was motioning to where she was standing. "There was a guy there then he was
gone!"
"Alan stop making things up." Perth looked at the only other human in
the group.
"I'm not making it up Shuda you're such an ass." The one called Alan
remarked. From first glance he seemed to be the youngest of the group his hair
a magenta color and his eyes a vivid green, he wore a simple leather spike
wrist band round his right wrist.
"That's his power limiter.' She realised.
She blinked suddenly as the Sanzo was by her side. "Hey there honey"¦"
"Uh"¦ ah"¦ hi." She blinked suddenly.
"Man Sanzo you never surprise me." The half demon of the group remarked
smiling at him.
"Quit that!" Shuda remarked before grabbing his brown ponytail and
yanking him in to the inn.
The youngest member Alan smiled at her before bowing humbly, "Sorry
about him." He smiled and raced in to the inn after the others. "Hey guys wait
up I'm hungry! Can I get a chocolate dessert?!"
Perth suddenly just smiled. "I think I found the prefect group for them
to be linked to one way or another."
She walked in to the inn and she spotted the group of four sitting at a
restaurant table talking.
"So how far to the next town Kiah?" Shuda asked as he drank from his
mug of beer.
"Well probably not for another five days so we're going to have to pick
up some serious supplies here and pray Alan doesn't eat them all." He joked
pulling out a cigarette and lighting it up.
"Hi I'm your waitress Ashei, I'll be serving you tonight."
"You can serve me anytime honey." Sanzo grinned.
"Can't you act like a priest just once?" Shuda hissed.
Kiah just laughed. "Sorry about him."
Ashei just smiled. "Don't worry I'm used to it."
Shuda looked up at the brown haired yellow-eyed woman, he blinked for a
moment and she smiled at him. "Uhhh"¦ ah"¦ er"¦ food that's right"¦ Lets eat!" He
remarked suddenly his cheeks heating up.
"Bingo, I have found the perfect parents for Vayu"¦' Perth smiled as
Shuda fumbled for the menu clumsily, his clumsy stumbling ways reminded her of
Vayu when she was round Tenpou.
Shuda ran a hand through his purple hair and he smiled nervously.
"Shuda, it goes up the other way." Alan remarked in a whisper.
Shuda turned the menu round the right way suddenly. "Um the steak medium
rare please."
Sanzo looked at him with a side way glance. "What's with him?" He asked
Kiah.
Kiah smiled one of his carefree smiles. "I'm guessing he likes her." He
whispered back.
"Shuda's got a crush." Alan teased.
"Anyways"¦ Can I get the baked fish?" Kiah asked smiling.
"Ooooh can I order desert first I'd like the chocolate surprise, the
chocolate mud cake, some of the chocolate waffles with chocolate ice cream and
the chocolate chip sundae with extra chocolate flakes?" Alan asked smiling.
Perth looked on with flat eyes. "Man he likes his chocolate.' She
looked round the restaurant and spotted another girl on the other side of the
room, she was also wearing a power limiter a simple silver chain bracelet and
she was smiling as she sat there talking with her friend.
"I swear Deanna, you'll find him one day how hard could it be to find
your father?" The purple-eyed demon gurl asked.
"My mother's dead she died having me and her words were according to
the mid wife were. "He an asshole, I'm going to kill him, he's a dead man a
dead man.' Niiiiice." She drawled flipping her brown black hair over her
shoulder.
"Hey you guys don't mind if I pay a visit to my cousin he works in the
mines of this town?" Kiah asked the group after Ashei had taken their orders
and headed off to the kitchen.
"Do what you want we don't care." Sanzo replied pulling out his own
cigarette and lighting it up.
"Man this travel around thing is starting to get old"¦" Alan sighed as
he rested his head on his hands that were on the table.
"Hey you guys can do what you want, follow your own paths we've
finished our mission this is the return route home remember?" Sanzo looked at
them. "So personally I'm okay to hang out here and find some serious action
like I found in this place on the way to our destination, of course it was
before I met you guys."
"You mean before we were born." Alan teased.
*WHACK*
"Ow hey Saaaaaannnnnnnzo." Alan shot him a flat-eyed glance. "I'd
expect that from Shuda not you."
Sanzo just smiled. "Hey you're right Shuda, it is fun." He teased.
"Kiah make them leave me alone!" Alan complained.
He just laughed and smiled. "Hey don't bring me in to this"¦"
Perth just smiled as she walked out of the restaurant and she stopped
spotting a blonde haired silver-eyed man walking in to the inn part a toolbox
in hand and he looked at her and he just smiled before approaching the
receptionist.
"Hey Via got a call that one of the doors needs fixing."
"Youkama!" She jumped up. "Good good this way, hurry hurry"¦" the
receptionist began ushering him up the stairs, "Before the guests see the door
can't have that now can we?"
"Hokay hokay"¦" He laughed as he let her push him up the stairs.
Perth looked to the door as Deanna and her demon friend walked through
the door coming out of the restaurant part of the inn.
"Khani thanks for the lunch." Deanna smiled.
"No worries now lets get back to class before they notice us gone"¦" She
smiled at her friend teasingly.
Perth looked up the stairs then to Deanna. "Just missed each other.'
She rubbed her hands together. "But not for long, I'm going to love this
meddling in their lives thing.'
~*~END OF FLASHBACK~*~
Cyran stopped walking and she looked round and she spotted Goku
standing in the street looking round. "Raido! Hey Raido! Damnit where'd she
go?" He spotted her and then he smiled. "Cyran! Hey have you seen Raido?"
Cyran looked at him. "No I'm looking for her too. The last town we were
at I got a message to pass on to her Kougaiji wanted to have a word with her"¦
and I didn't get time to tell her, especially when I was clinging for my life
in that damn jeep, she needs her licence damnit."
Goku looked at her. "She's with Kougaiji. Oh man, he's intense I hope
she's okay?"
"Can you sniff them out?"
Goku looked at her with flat eyes. "I'm not a dog you know.
"Hey you want food, if you find them I'll buy you dinner."
"Really?!" Goku looked at her his eyes starry eyed. "You mean it? You
won't change your mind right?!"
"I promise." She smiled at him.
"Alright then! I'll find them you can bet on it especially
for a free meal!" He grinned.
~*~*~*~
Raido followed Kougaiji with Doku not far behind her and she looked
over her shoulder at him curiously.
"I suppose they seem normal enough, but what would I know about
demons"¦ I'm only a quarter, I'm not accepted on either side of the fence.'
She mused to herself.
"This will do for now. Tejas is safe in that restaurant there, Yaone is
watching over her." Kougaiji motioned.
Raido looked over and sure enough she could see the
pink of Tejas's hair through the window as she was helping herself to food.
"So what is it you want from me Kougaiji?" She looked at him.
He turned round from where he'd been watching Tejas and Lirin fight
over the plate of meat buns. "The scripture, you carry one, yet no one seems to
know exactly what scripture it is. I know it isn't the Muten or Saten
scriptures."
"Or the Hiten." Doku added.
"Have you heard of the Henka scripture? We all know there are five
founding scriptures of heaven and earth what you didn't know is this is the
sixth scripture, the one the merciful Goddess herself made and handed down to
my ancestors, with strict instructions to follow it. The scripture that helps
the world grow and change." Raido looked up at Kougaiji.
"A sixth scripture one of change"¦" He looked at her his expression one
of shock.
"I admit it's not as powerful as the others because it's not one of the
founding five, but it is one of the founding scriptures. It's become part of
the founding five only by pure disappearance of the scripture under the sand."
Raido explained.
She saw the look in his eyes and Raido just smiled. "I'm sorry Kougaiji
but you can't have it, I said the same thing to Homura. This is a family
heirloom, it's mine just as it will be my children's and their children's."
"Where is it? You have to have it on you somewhere?!" Kougaiji
demanded. "This might be the scripture I need the one to free my mother.'
Raido just smiled at him and it seemed to annoy him, it was a typical
smile one he'd seen on Yaone and the traitor Hakkai.
"Oh I do but this scripture has the power to banish a demon by pure
touch, skin, clothing, which is why I have to wear a power limiter myself." She
smiled again. "Well I've told you more than what I've told those I travel with
feel honoured."
"Wait you're a half-breed?" Doku asked.
Raido blinked. "Uh"¦ no a quarter actually." She replied.
Kougaiji looked at her wearily. "You expect me to believe that there
are no quarter demons out there."
"It's physically impossible kid." Doku added.
Raido blinked confused for a moment. "What do you mean?"
"KOUGAIJI!" He looked over and so did Raido at Goku standing there.
"Leave her alone!"
Kougaiji growled in annoyance.
"Goku it's alright we were just talking." Raido smiled. She patted
Kougaiji on the shoulder. "I'll be collecting Tejas now unless you want to take
her back to your step mother?"
He seemed even more angrier as she just brushed past him walking across
the road and in to the restaurant.
"Damnit I don't have time for your games!" He snapped.
"Oh and I was really looking forward to when we'd be able to play
again." Goku grinned holding his hand out his Nyoibou appearing in his
hand.
"YAONE LIRIN WE'RE GOING NOW!"
Kougaiji shouted before just vanishing from sight.
Goku let his Nyoibou vanish as
he raced across the road and in to the restaurant seeing Tejas sitting there
and she smiled at him.
"I didn't find any chocolate but
I got a good meal."
"Whose going to pay for all of
this?" The owner asked looking at all the dishes piled up.
