Chapter 10

How ya�ll doin�? I hope that chapter 9 was up to your standards, I�m a little out of practice so if you are confused in any way it�s alright cause so am I.

Chapter 10
Krad walks back into the teachers lounge and takes out his white feather. This time instead of calling on Dark he summons a holographic image of Takeshi. �Agent, have you retrieved what I asked for?� Krad was in no mood for anymore fowl ups, Daisuke has already slipped through his fingers once he�ll be damned before it happens again. �Every thing is going as you planned master. We have the painting and as per your request Emiko and Daichii are dead. This will send grief stricken Daisuke running in to your arms�, Takeshi had taken great pride in torturing Daisuke�s mom and grand father. �They sheltered him too much and always made it harder for me to spend time with him, saying that Capt. Saehara�s kid was nothing but trouble. Well they won�t have to worry about me any more or anything else for that matter�. �Good, tell the other agents to take Daisuke straight to The Castle I�ll take over from there�, Krad said before he ended the transmission.
Back at Daisuke�s House:
Daisuke couldn�t believe his eyes at the scene before him. Neighbors and ambulances crowd his front yard obviously in awe of the sight, Dai�s house was in shambles; looking as if it were dropped from 150 ft. in the air right into this spot. If this is how the house looks his family must be worst off. �Mom, Grand Pa!� Dai yells as he pushes his way through the crowd completely ignoring Satoshi�s cries for him to stop. As Daisuke finally reaches his front lawn he sees two things that make him go into shock. Paramedics were loading two stretchers with black body bags on them into the back of ambulances no doubt his mother�s and grand father�s bodies in them. �No, Noooo! Mom! Grand pa! Momma, Grand pa; Give them back they�re not gone, give them back to me please!� Daisuke was down on his knees crying his heart out pleading with the paramedics to give his family back to him. Onlookers and even some of the EMPs were crying along with this boy. Finally making it through the crowd, Satoshi recognizes all to well the look of pain and anguish on Daisuke�s face. �Shhhh now Dai. It�s going to be okay, I�ve lost my family too so I can help you through the pain�, Satoshi says as he pulls Daisuke into his arms in order to comfort him. The moment that Satoshi held him close Daisuke became utterly repulsed by his touch, �Get off of me!� he yells as he pushes Satoshi away, �It�s going to be okay? Nothings going to be fucking okay. I�m all alone now Sato, my family is gone, my house is a wreck, I have nothing to live for now. Nothing but the darkness� at that Daisuke�s bright shining eyes went from glimmering bright red to a dullish maroon and an almost pitch black aura was surrounding him. �No, Daisuke I know you think you�re alone now but you�re not. Please come back with me into the light� Satoshi pleaded to Dai reaching out to him as he stood up from his fall (Daisuke can be pretty damn strong when he needs to be).
�Heh, he�s pathetic�, �Oh how the mighty have fallen�, �Poor, poor Satoshi Hiwatari. Daisuke is ours now�. Satoshi recognized those voices anywhere, the Harada Twins and� �Takeshi�. The name sounded like pure venom as it left Satoshi�s lips, the last people on this planet he wanted to see were now the first ones taking a shot at him. �You�ve failed Hiwatari; Daisuke belongs to the powers of darkness now� Takeshi says with an evil grin, he then turns to Daisuke and holds out his hand to him, �Come to me my little light, the darkness is waiting� Daisuke practically ran into his arms, seeking the comfort there that he could not find with Satoshi. �Our task is done, every one destroy this agent of light, destroy Satoshi Hiwatari!� At Takeshi�s command every last by stander�s (including the EMPs) eyes started to glow red with malevolence and hate as they attacked Satoshi. Satoshi quickly assessed the situation, since these people were under a spell a simple disarming spell should do the trick. With the angry mob only seconds away from killing him Satoshi quickly concentrates all the power within him until a light blue aura started to glow around him, then he kneels on one knee and places his left hand on the ground in front of him. �Defendo�, he spoke very gently as if he were whispering to the earth, no sooner than when he spoke did the earth underneath Satoshi rise up to create a good 5 ft hill and came back down causing a ripple of earth knocking all of the would be attackers off their feet and out cold. Takeshi and the Harada Twins were greatly impressed, �If this is the power of one of his low level attacks just imagine what it would be like if he were to get serious�, Riku nervously said, �Well I guess you�ll find out. Both you and Risa hold him off, I have to get Dai to Master Krad�, Takeshi says to the girls as he leads Daisuke to a car parked near by. Risa and Riku cast a nonchalant glance at Satoshi and simultaneously think �This shouldn�t take too long�. Satoshi didn�t think he would have much to worry about; it�s the Harada Twins after all, until the girls made a few hand signs concentrating their auras. Risa launches the first attack as she runs towards Satoshi yelling �Aduro!� causing fire balls to rain down out of no where. Dodging the blasts with ease Satoshi quickly makes a few hand signs of his own and summons a shield of water with the �Pluvia Contego!� spell, but while Risa had him distracted Riku comes from behind to cast her own spell. �Fundo del Terra!� Riku calls out as she places her hand on the ground in front of her thus causing the ground underneath Satoshi�s feet to be come muddy and tar like. �I can�t believe this, they honestly think that these low level spells are going to work against me� Satoshi couldn�t help but laugh at this thought, �What in God�s name is so funny Hiwatari?� Risa irately asks �Look at him, slowly sinking to his doom. I�d probably loose my mind too. Finish him off and make it quick Risa, it�s starting to get dark� Riku says as she picks dirt out from under her nails, she really didn�t care if Satoshi suffered in his last moments or not. All she really wants is to be there for the final summoning of Dark. �Well then this next blast will put him out of his misery� Risa says as she calls forth the �Magna Aduro!� spell creating a giant fire ball to come crashing down on top of Satoshi. As Satoshi continues to sink slowly into the ground he begins to conjure up all the mystical energies that have been passed down from generation to generation causing his once blue aura to turn golden. The fireball stopped merely centimeters from Satoshi�s head and disbursed, the shock wave alone was enough to knock Risa and Riku down almost to the point of unconsciousness.
Satoshi levitates himself out of the quicksand, turning it back into solid ground then, using only his index finger, Satoshi was able to levitate Riku and throw her over to where Risa was trying to get up; effectively knocking her down again. �It�s a shame that you girls decided to follow your dark ambitions by trusting in Krad. Repent and return to the light and I shall allow you both to live, this is your only chance I suggest you take it� Satoshi told them in a no non-sense tone just to get his point across. Of course the Risa, being as thick headed as she is, gave Satoshi one clear cut answer; �Piss off Hiwatari, the power we receive from the darkness is nothing compared to the light� Risa�s answer was her last. With out even blinking Satoshi used his index finger again to lift Risa into the air while applying pressure to her body at the same time, �Perditio� was the only spell Satoshi needed to slowly rip Risa apart molecule by molecule. �Riku�s screams rivaled her sisters as she watched in terror while Risa slowly disintegrated. When the screaming was done all that was left of Risa was a small pile of ashes, �The choice is still yours Riku, repent now or share the fate of your sister� Satoshi�s tone was a bit more gentle this time around, mostly because he had always liked Riku better than Risa, Riku may have loved her sister very much, but she was no where near being as foolish as her so she quickly stood up as Satoshi made his way over to her. Satoshi held her chin so that way he could look her in the eyes and tell if she was sincere, �What will you choose Riku?� he asked �I want to go back to the light, but Krad has control over us I� I don�t think even you would be strong enough to break this curse� Riku answered. A smile graced Satoshi�s lips at hearing this, �The light will always defeat the darkness no matter what. Hold still for me�, Satoshi said as he placed his right hand over her heart and summoned a small amount of magic to free Risa�s mind of any evil thoughts or ambitions. By the time Satoshi was done Risa was back to her happy tom-boyish self, �Riku, are you alright?� �Um, yeah, but my head is pounding. I guess Krad�s curse was stronger than I thought� �No, it�s just a small side effect from releasing the curse. Riku I need to know, do you have any idea where Takeshi would take Daisuke?� �The last order that Krad gave us was to take Daisuke to The Castle and prepare for the final summoning�. The Castle that Riku is referring to is actually a giant mansion that was built by the western explorers in the 1600s, Satoshi knew this place, and he conducted a major drug bust there a few years back. �Riku I�m going to drop you off at the station. I have to set up a raid on The Castle�, Satoshi says as he turns to leave but Riku quickly calls him back. �Satoshi wait, please. Here, this is one of the Draistal amulets that Krad has us wear�, she told him as she handed him a dark metal amulet with an amethyst stone in the center of it , �It will allow you into the barrier that is set up around The Castle� �Thank you Riku� and with that Satoshi and Riku were off. Getting from where Daisuke�s house used to be to where the police station was wasn�t a very long walk, upon approaching the steps to the building Satoshi notices that something is off. �Hold on Riku, there�s heaviness in the air. Almost like a pitch black aura�, �Um Satoshi, I think I should warn you, the entire faculty and some of the students are not the only ones working for Krad�. Just as she says that Inspector Saehara and a group of about 15 officers walk out of the building, �Good evening Commander Hiwatari, I believe you�ve come to turn yourself in�. Satoshi looks at Saehara in puzzlement first then the realization of what Riku told him finally hits, �Riku, is there anything else you would like to tell me before we keep going?� he asks in an agitated tone. �Oh the line stops here commander; I�m placing you under arrest for conspiracy to over throw the government.�, �The only traitor here Saehara is you! You knew that once a code black was initiated that the task of the police force was to stop the prophecy from coming true at any cost. Why did you change, you were my most trusted officer, why?� �Heh simple, for power; the power that only the darkness can grant. You Satoshi Hiwatari are now a thorn in my master�s side and it would be my pleasure to remove you both.� Inspector Saehara and all 15 officers formed hand signs and began to chant an ancient spell. �Great more spells.� Satoshi said as he geared up for another attack, but this time something was off. �Even slow starter spells would have given off some sort of energy signal by now.� he thought as he looked at Saehara and his men. �Satoshi I was trying to tell you earlier they don�t have the power to cast magic type spells like Risa and I. Krad gave him the power of transformation spells.� Riku says to him, �What kind of transformation spells?� As if to answer his question, the chanting stops only to be replaced by the sounds of ripping skin, cracking bones and agonizing screams as the transformations take place.

Hooray! I�m finally in the double digits and only 13 billion more chapters to go (Just kidding). Luckily there aren�t that many chapters left (three or so), so I�ll just give you a check list of what you can expect in the next chapters. BTW the Latin that I put in here are basic words from online English to Latin dictionary. Also, I�m not sure if it has a different meaning, but in my story EMP is short for Emergency Medical Personnel.
