A week had passed, after a long walk across the routes of Hoenn the three teenagers were now at the top of Mount Chimney enjoying the unbelievable views and observing the lake of bubbling hot lava.



“Dude at first I couldn’t believe that Leader Wattson gave you one of his pokemons but now I can see why…” said Jack.



“RAY COME BACK HERE!!!” screamed Vanessa at the energetic small green dog who was barking and running in circles around a puddle of boiling lava.



The young Electrike obediently ran towards his master jumping around her legs, he had been recently given to her by his old owner. During the Gym match he had fallen completely in love with his pink and fluffy opponent, stubbornly refusing to fight her, and even though Wattson had seen many pokemons falling for the Charm Attack before, he could tell that in this case it wasn’t just a simple spell, his youngest pokemon was falling for his first love and after living so many years he knew it would be wrong of him to deny Ray the chance of a romance, so as a prize, besides the Dyname Badge, Vanessa also received the pokeball containing the offspring of two of Wattson’s best Electric pokemons.



Since then Ray and Roxy became pretty much inseparable, but the happy Electrike was so…hyperactive that even the three teens began to wonder if there wasn’t any Ritalin available for pokemons.



“Vi seriously I’m getting a headache of just watching him run around…can’t you put him in his pokeball for a while until my head goes back to normal?” asked Sam.



“Sorry…but I’m afraid that if I put him in there he’ll be even worst after I let him out…” she answered.



“No wonder the old guy ditched him on us, at his age having a pokemon like this must have made him feel like putting a bullet in his head.” complained Jack.



“Come on guys he’ll eventually get tired…I hope…RAY DON’T YOU DARE PISS ON THAT OLD LADY!!”



But before he could do any damage to the poor woman Haru jumped at him facing Ray face to face and angrily barking at him, which finally made the small pokemon immediately calm down in fear.



“Hey Ciarán what did Haru tell Ray?” Vanessa asked to the tiny Eevee on her arms.



“IF YOU DON’T CHILL YOU’RE ASS OUT I SWEAR I’M GONNA BITE IT OFF!! That’s what he said master.” he answered with his Psychic powers.



“Good, finally something worked, thank Haru for me but please tell him not to really bite anything…again.”



“Oh thank God, come on Vi let’s go, we better get an aspirin to mister poncho here before his brain explodes.” said Jack heading down the mountain, while the cute Skitty softly licked her new dynamic boyfriend.

The Hot Springs of Lavaridge were the city’s main attraction, thousands of tourists visited them through the whole year seeking some peace and quiet. However, today the owners couldn’t refuse a request from the son of the millionaires who had borrowed them the money to upgrade their facilities.

So, much for the dislike of many tourists, Jack, Vi and Sam had rented the place for the whole day at no charge.



“Ah man this is how life should always be…HEY VI! HOW’S EVERYTHING UP THERE??” screamed Jack.



Even though the place belonged to them for the day, they still couldn’t break the rules and so the boys stayed in one spring while girls stayed on a different one, including the pokemons.



“COULDN’T BE BETTER!!...hey wait…TAK PLEASE DON’T DO A CANNON BALL…AHHHH” shouted the girl before being hit by a mighty wave.



The boys just laughed. Their spring was pretty crowded, most of the pokemons from the group were males, only Roxy and Sam’s pokemons stayed with Vi (except for his Sharpedo for safety reasons), all the other ones were next to them swimming or sleeping at the sun.



“So is the headache over?” asked Jack trying to make a conversation, during the last weeks he started to become friends with Sam, but he still considered him nothing but a rival.



“Yeah…this springs are great, it went away as soon as I touched the water.”



After his answer there was an awkward moment of silence between both boys. They were both feeling very weird about being naked next to each other, not that they ever felt constricted about nudity, but because they were both feeling somewhat attracted to one another.



Sam had never in his life felt attracted to guys before, but the truth was that his headache was long gone before he even reached the water, it passed because of the chills he had when he saw Jack naked on the lockers. He didn’t like him, at all, Jack was loud and obnoxious, but even Sam had to admit that he had a great body, and knowing that the boy next to him had sex with other guys in the past was making him feel…uncomfortable.



Jack was somewhat upset, he wanted to defeat Sam in everything no matter what, and after taking a look at Sam’s “family jewels” made him realise that was another battle he had lost, not that he was small, but his rival had once again defeated him on something he was sure he would be the winner. Finally Jack snapped out of it and realised that the problem wasn’t having a slightly smaller dick than Sam, it was that he couldn’t stop thinking about it or washing that image off his head.



“So…how are you planning on defeating this Gym Leader?” asked Sam breaking the ice.



“Oh, I don’t have any water pokemons but my crew should be able to beat this one easily, Fire pokemons aren’t all that tough against my boys..”



“I’m not sure if that will be enough, most of my pokemons are from the same type as yours and I only defeated this Gym Leader after using both my water pokemons.”



“Ok slow down, first off all how many Badges do you actually have already? And second since when do you have more than one water pokemon? You’ve been travelling with us for a long time but we don’t know shit about you.”



“Sorry, I was never the talkative type…but I guess it’s fair for you guys to know a bit more about me. Let’s see…I have seven badges, since my family owns a Gym we get to meet the other Gym Leaders very often so I had plenty of chances to challenge them, the only one I didn’t defeat was Juan, that bastard always kicks my ass.”



“I’m liking him already, what about your obsession with female pokemons, what’s up with that?”



“Well, I come from a long line of specialists in Fighting pokemons and for some reason they always used male ones, so I tried to be a little different and prove that female ones are just as good or even better. The ladies seem to like the idea a lot.”



“Yeah I bet they do…chicks dig that kind of stuff.”



“That’s why I don’t use my second Water pokemon much, it would go against my fighting style.”



“So you’re last pokemon is a dude?”



“Yop, come on out Dev, you’ll probably enjoy the springs.” He said unleashing the pokemon from his pokeball into the water, “try not to be very loud Jack he’s very shy that’s why I didn’t release him before.”



“…”



“Holy shit…that has gotta be the most beautiful pokemon I have ever seen…” Jack declared staring at a stunning Milotic.



“You bet, one day I went to a sushi bar with one of my girlfriends, but for accident I entered the kitchen and saw one of the cooks about to chop the head off a poor little Feebas. I paid double of what his sushi was worth and kept him. A few months later for some reason he just evolved on his own.”



“Nice. HEY VI YOU GOTTA SEE THIS POKEMON!!”



There was no answer.



“VI??”

“Damn it…I knew I should’ve used the bathroom before going into the water.” said Vanessa searching for the ladies room inside the lockers.



But as she passed by a pile of forgotten magazines something caught her eye. On the front page of an old “Pokemon Daily” there was a picture of the six challengers who successfully defeated the Elite Four three years ago.



Vi picked up the magazine to be sure of what she was seeing, among the six teenagers full of medals and trophies there seemed to be two familiar ones. On the left of the cover was a red haired boy with a serious smile on his face, she had no doubts that it was Damien, his facial expression hadn’t changed at all, cold and respectful, apparently he was always like that, even when he smiled. But in the opposite side there was a weird girl with her blue hair divided into two long pony tails and wearing a cute black dress, she seemed to very happy holding her trophy. Even though she looked like a very different person, Vanessa recognized her piercing green eyes easily, after all she had been forced to look straight into them when they met on the Petalburg Woods.



“Excuse me honey, do you know where is everybody?” asked an old lady who had shown all of the sudden.



“Hum what? Oh sorry I was distracted, I’m afraid the springs are closed to the public today…”



“Is that so? What a shame my bones are killing me today…oh that magazine is so old, isn’t it such a shame what happened to those poor kids?”



“What? This kids? What happened to them?” she said pointing at the cover.



“Don’t you know my dear? Well you’re very young, I guess kids this days don’t really watch the news, my grandkids are exactly the same.”



“You know what, please join me in the springs, it will help your pain and we can talk more about this.”



“Really? Thank you so much sweetie, my back is really hurting today.”



After using the bathroom, Vanessa returned to springs and joined the elderly woman who was watching Chi dance above the water.



“Isn’t that lovely? All your pokemons are just beautiful.”



“Actually only one of them is mine, the others belong to a friend. By the way my name is Vanessa.”



“How rude of me, my name is Claire, I run this town’s Pokemon Mart.” she answered relaxing the hot waters.



“So what happened to them?”



“Well it was a tragedy, on that year all of the Elite Four members showed up murdered and the kids who had defeated them just vanished one by one.”



“Oh yeah! I do remember that! The police never found out who the murderer was.”



“And the children were never found either, everyone was devastated, people were even afraid of becoming pokemon champions for a while.”



“Yeah, and they replaced the deceased ones with a new Elite Four who is even tougher than the older one.”



“Yes my dear, your job is even harder now, only one person was able to defeat them on the last two years.”



“I heard he died a few months later with cancer…I never thought about it before, it’s as if the championships are cursed.”



“After living so many years I believe that everything happens for a reason, there are no such things as coincidences…”



“…”



Vanessa opened the magazine, inside of it there were small interviews and the stats of the winners. Apparently Damien is specialized in pokemons with good healing abilities, and the weird chick is called Nina Harper, she’s the daughter of the keepers of Mount Pyre and her toughest pokemons were from the Ghost Type.



“I can’t believe Jack didn’t notice this either…”



“Didn’t notice what?” asked someone.



As Vanessa lowered the magazine she noticed that the elder woman had now been replaced by a young naked girl with long wet blue hair.



“You! What do you want?? Where’s Claire??”



“Who this? She was so easy to kill it wasn’t even fun…” complained Nina taking out of the water the decapitated head of the woman.



Vi screamed from the top of her lungs as the lady’s blood dripped into the water, it spread on the hot spring and mysteriously the waters slowly completely turned into hot blood.



“WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?? HELP!!!!”



“Why are you screaming? Nobody will hear you, so just calm down and relax, blood is actually very good for the skin.” she said bathing herself.



“SHUT UP YOU PSYCHO!! WHERE ARE ALL THE POKEMONS?? AND WHERE IS JACK AND SAM??”

“Good! First I want to congratulate you. All my pokemons in the eggs died right after hatching, but I guess you hit the jackpot, cute little Ciarán is looking very healthy.”

“Oh don’t worry, a deal is a deal, I gave him to you and I have no intensions of taking him back. And in case you’re wondering Ralts is fine, she’s a very…obedient girl.”



“If I had known I would have never given her to you!”



“It’s not like you had a choice…just like you don’t have a choice now about lowering your voice tone, I’m not liking it.”

Suddenly Vanessa woke up, she was still on the springs but the water was back to normal.

As she looked down she saw a burned scar with the same symbol Nina had made, so after realizing it hadn’t been just a dream, Vi excuse herself and ran away towards the boys area after picking up her towel.



“VIII?? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE??? WE’RE NAKED!!” asked Jack embarrassed, before she jumped into the water and hugged him crying.



“Vanessa what’s wrong??” asked Sam worried about his friend.



They kept on asking her what had happened but she just kept on weeping holding tight to them, meanwhile all of the pokemons surrounded them wondering what was going on.

A week had passed since the incident at the springs, after defeating the Gym Leader they didn’t think twice about leaving town and moving on towards the next one.



“I’m fine.” complained Vi.



“You’re lying.” complained Jack.



“Maybe you should just leave her alone.” said Sam trying to calm both down before a disaster.



“I’m fine!!”



“No you’re not I can tell!!”



“Come on guys how about we stop for a while and snack?”



“SHUT UP!” both teens shouted at the hungry tanned boy.



“Fine, you guys wanna fight…fight! I’m gonna go to the coffee store we just passed and eat something.” answered Sam walking away.



“Why can’t you just leave me alone Jack?!”



“Because you’re my friend and I worry about you, since that day you’ve hardly been sleeping and you went so rough on the Gym Leader that we had to stop you before you almost killed the poor girl.”



“I’m sorry…I don’t know what came over me.”



“That’s the problem, you changed a lot in last past days, I’m worried about actually losing you.”



“…”



“Vi I know it’s hard, I was raped too remember? I know it’s not the same because I loved Damien, but at the time I did die a little on the inside, it was as if I wasn’t in control anymore…as if I didn’t belong to myself anymore.”



“Jack…” she said almost crying, “…thank you, for everything, really you’re the best friend I ever had, but please…all I want is to forget about everything.”



“I know…but please don’t distance yourself from me and Sam like you’ve been doing lately, we care about you, and if there’s anything I can do to help please just tell me.” said Jack placing his arms around her.



Vanessa looked up at him, she could see in his eyes that he wasn’t lying, he really was worried, she relaxed putting her head on his shoulder and he gave small gentle strokes on her hair. Seconds later, without none of them actually realizing what they were doing they began a deep but soft kiss.



“Wow…I was afraid you guys would be mouthing each other off by now, but I didn’t think it would be so literally…” joked Sam eating a piece of cake.



The couple quickly broke away at the sound of his voice.



“Oh come on don’t be so shy, it was freaking obvious the two of you were into each other, I knew it was only a matter of time before you both realized it.”



“…”



“This is probably the first time I actually get to see both of you guys unable to speak…it’s scary actually, how about we camp in here for the night so that you may talk it over…it’s getting pretty late.”



A few hours had passed and the night had covered the sky with stars and a big shiny moon. None of the teens had said a word to each other after the kiss, they just build up the three tents and went to sleep.



Sam was now worried, those two loud-mouths had never been so quiet before, he cared about both of them, and he had felt attracted to both of them…but now he wasn’t worried about being left out, he just didn’t want his friends to fall apart.



Jack was laying in his tent thinking about the kiss, the truth was he hadn’t been in a serious relationship since Damien and he didn’t really want one, but he liked her, he never realized it before, but he truly did care so damn fucking much about that girl, and there was no fucking way he’d break her heart right now, especially not after what happened.



Vanessa couldn’t sleep, she looked around and stared at her sleeping pokemons, Ciarán was sleeping next to her as always, Haru was alone in a corner, Spike was at her feet and Ray was snuggled with Roxy. She smiled at the sight of the couple, they really liked each other, maybe it would be nice to have that too, may it would be nice to be with Jack…



She decided to go for a walk, and loyal as always Spike followed her. They where camping on a small forest, it was kinda hard to see at night so she didn’t go far from the camp.



As they walked she was lost in her thoughts, but those were suddenly interrupted by the sound of steps behind her and Spike barking.



“Hello again.” said a male voice.



“Damien?” she asked turning around.



“I suggest you tell your pokemon to calm down.” he answered.



“Spike stop barking, why are you here?”



“I’m to here to clean up the mess one of my team-mates did, you kissed Jack didn’t you?”



“Hum…yeah, how do you know…?” she asked nervous, his expression was very cold and dark at the moment.



“I figured it when Nina was complaining about her new pet being smooching around with some white haired retard.”



Vanessa just glared angrily at him, so him and the bitch really where connected.



“Listen, if you don’t want Jack to die than just give him this quickly.” Damien said throwing a small bottle with a red liquid at her.



“Why should I trust you?”



“Because you don’t have a choice, Nina is a specialist in curses and she placed one on you. Your blood is cursed with a poison that kills anyone that gets intimate with you, basically any body fluids that you exchange with someone will kill them a few hours later.”



“…That can’t be true….”



“It is, but if don’t believe in me then just wait until he’s dead and see for yourself.”



“…”



“Will this cure Jack?”



“Yes, since you guys only kissed the amount of poison was small.”



“…Is there a way to take the curse off me…?”



“Listen, I’m not here to help you, I only gave you the antidote because Nina’s stupidity conflicted with my territory, but I wouldn’t step on hers just to save you.”



“…”



“You’re gonna leave me like this just because you hate me for kissing Jack…?” she asked crying.



“I don’t hate you, you’re Nina’s pet now, she’s a powerful opponent and I have no interest in starting a war against her. The only reason she gave me the antidote is because you infected my pet…and she doesn’t want to start a war against me either.”



“What the hell are you people?”



“That’s none of you’re business.” answered Damien as he disappeared into the air.



“…”



Vanessa ran back to the camp and rushed herself inside Jack’s tent, it was dark but still she could see that he was starting to turn pale and his skin was sweaty.



“Vi? Is that you? I’m not feeling well…my body hurts.” complained Jack.



“Drink this!!”



“Drink what?”



“DRINK THIS NOW!!” she commanded opening the bottle and making him swallow the liquid.



“Ah shit what was that?? Blood??”



“Actually it wouldn’t surprise me if it was…but you’ll be ok now.” she said weeping.



“Why are you crying? Listen…I’ve been thinking, and I’m sorry if I acted like a jerk after we kissed, I just wasn’t sure about my feelings…but I am now. Will you go on a date with me tomorrow? I’ll take you somewhere fancy!”



“…”



“Vi…why are you still crying?”



“I’m sorry Jack but there can’t be anything between us.”



“What are you talking about…?”



“I’M SORRY!!” she shouted as she ran away.



Jack just stood there staring at her wondering what he did wrong.



“Ah fuck what did you do to the poor girl now you retard??” asked Sam.



“I’m not sure…”
