Chapter Ten
Well, this will be the last chapter until the new year rolls around. And to my newest reviewer, thank you for the review! I guess I was unclear as to my intent. I suppose it's my way of showing that Umiko was a lonely person. Lonely and surrounded by hella hot guys! XD But, I assure you, she's not a whore. I, on the other hand, would be if I were in her situation. XD

Shuichi looked up and down the street.
“I don’t see them,” he said. “There’s no way of knowing which way they went.”
Ryuichi chewed Kumagoro thoughtfully for a few seconds before replying. “Well, maybe he’ll call you. But, I still want to do something. I want to have fun!”
Shuichi turned to face him. “Are you serious?”
“Mmmm Hmmm.”
“Sakuma-san, I don’t think I want to do anything. We should go back..” Ryuichi’s eyes filled with tears.
“You don’t want to do anything with me?”
“N..no, it’s not that,” Shuichi tried to reassure him.
“You hate me?” Ryuichi squeezed Kumagoro harder. It looked like Kuma-chan’s head would explode any second.
“No, I don’t hate you,” Shuichi signed. This was getting him no where. “I just don’t want to go anywhere. I don’t want to dance or sing or be around a lot of people.”
“Great!”
Shuichi’s jaw dropped. Great? No one in this world could confuse him like Ryuichi did. Ryuichi held tightly to Shuichi and began pulling him down the street.
“Sakuma! Where are we going?”
“My house!”

Umiko knew she’d had too much to drink. And the reason she knew this was because she was giggling like a schoolgirl at pretty much anything she or Yuki said. But, Eiri was giggling too, so she didn’t care.
“Let me get this straight,” Eiri said in between chuckles. “You’ve been with K, Sakuma and Hiro. But, Sugaru’s too young for you and Tohma scares you.”
“Well, yeah. Tohma scares everyone but you and Mika.”
“And you would have with Sakano but he kept fainting?”
Umiko started laughing again. “Yup. He passed out three times before I decided it wasn’t worth it.”
Spasms of laughter rocked through Eiri. That’s when he fell off of the couch. Umiko couldn’t help it, she’d been mid-drink. And drinking and laughing never mix well. Suddenly, she found herself covered in foamy beer suds, Eiri laughing and pointing at her from the floor.
“Hey! It’s not that funny!” she yelled between her own laughter.
“Then...why..are...you laughing?”
She put her drink back on the table and leaned over the edge of the couch to help Eiri back up. The edge was closer than she thought though and down she tumbled.
“Oooomph!” Eiri’s breath left him when she landed on his chest.
“Oops,” she said, looking at Eiri. “I missed.”
Eiri raised himself onto his elbows. “I think you did that on purpose. For payback.”
“No, I think I’m drunk. I can’t do anything on purpose right now.”
Eiri flopped back on the floor. “I think I’m drunk too.”
They lay on the floor like that for what felt like forever. Then, Umiko placed her hands flat on the floor beside Eiri’s head. She looked down at him, her hair creating a curtain.
“Eiri-san? What’s wrong with me? Why did you do this today? Did I do something to you?” she whispered.

Shuichi yawned. He was already bored with the endless amounts of video games he’d played with Sakuma. Sakuma, on the other hand, seemed more than willing to play more. It didn’t hurt that he’d won every game they’d played. Shuichi made damn sure he won every game too. He didn’t want to deal with the emotional breakdown of Sakuma if he lost. Ryuichi was doing a happy dance over in the corner at his latest victory.
“Sakuma-san? I think I’m ready to leave.”
Ryuichi instantly stopped his dance and rushed over to Shuichi.
“Leave?” he asked kneeling down and leaning his face towards Shuichi. “Why do you want to leave?”
Uh-oh, Shuichi thought. Serious Sakuma. This is hardly ever good.
“I need to get home. I’m, uh...tired. I should go to bed.”
A sly grin slowly made its way across Ryuichi’s face. “You can go to bed here.” Shuichi’s eyes became saucers and he slowly began sliding across the floor. Ryuichi simply continued crawling after him.
“What’s the matter Shu..i...chi? Don’t you want to stay here with me?”
“It’s not that,” Shuichi said, still trying to slide away.
“Then what is it?”
What is it? I can’t think properly, Shuichi thought. He kept sliding back until he realized he couldn’t go any further. He turned his head and saw nothing but wall behind him. He looked forward and saw Sakuma still crawling toward him. My god, he’s like a panther, he thought. A really sexy panther. Shuichi quickly shook his head trying to get that thought out.
Ryuichi was inches from his face now and he could feel himself turning red. He felt the shade turn into a deeper shade when Ryuichi placed his legs beside his hips. All sorts of thoughts began running through Shuichi’s head, none of them unpleasant. Ryuichi smiled again.
“Well?”
“Well, what?” Shuichi asked.
“You never answered me.”
“I think I forgot the question.”
“Why don’t you want to stay here?”
“I...I,” Why can’t I think of anything? Shuichi could feel Sakuma’s breath on his cheek.
“I don’t think you want to leave,” Ryuichi whispered, running his hand slowly up Shuichi’s leg. Shuichi couldn’t suppress the moan that escaped from his mouth when Ryuichi’s hand brushed between his legs. Shuichi quickly brought his hands to his mouth and began shaking his head back and forth.
“I think I do,” came his muffled reply.
Ryuichi slowly peeled Shuichi’s hands from his mouth.
“No, you don’t. I think you want to stay. I think you want this more than you want to admit.” He leaned in and licked Shuichi’s lower lip.
“I know you want this,” he said, trailing kisses up Shuichi’s jawline. “How can you not?” His lips and tongue had captured Shuichi’s ear. “Don’t you want someone to be nice to you?” He pulled away and looked into Shuichi’s eyes. “I’ll be nice to you.”
Shuichi looked away. Did he want this? He thought of Yuki, all the things they’d ever done, ever said. He thought of all the times he’d been called a moron, all the times he’d been locked out of the bedroom. He thought about today and what had happened. He felt the beginning of tears stinging his eyes as he looked back to Ryuichi. He placed his fingers softly upon Ryuichi’s cheek.
“Ryuichi?” he whispered. “I want you to be nice to me too.” Shuichi pulled Ryuichi toward him and captured his lips. Ryuichi felt Shuichi’s arms wrap around his neck, holding him tightly. For one moment, he couldn’t remember where he ended and Shuichi began, and he realized that this was going to mean more to him than he thought it would.
