The man who was older by a couple years looked down for a moment " hey " , Will looked up at the pokemon who emerged from the gym looking equally busted up . His plate sized eyes looked in awe at the Gardevoir which was equally if not taller than the young man , ralts cooed pointing " ral ral ral " . Will smiled " yea your gonna be that big one day cool huh " , Static suddenly filled his mind causing him to wince . A young childs voice spoke in the static unclearly " I certainly hope so " , He looked around not seeing anyone but the 5 of them . Loe and behold at the wrong place and wrong time in came Ash , he jumped happily " hey you with the Gardevoir you wanna battle " . The taller man rolled his eyes " seriously " , pikachu was ready to go . In a blinding flash of light Pikachu and his trainer were across the nearby river , and god knows how far they went from there . Will looked up at ralts " now that's some scary power " , the young man turned " I'm sure you and your friend will get stronger " . Will stood up holding out a hand " names Will " , the other man nodded " Slash " . The Gardevoir had a large smile on its face as it spoke to him " their bond is strong for that stage master " , he looked up " you just keep working at it ok " .
- later that night at the rest house in venderuf ( sp ) -
He sat down on the bed leafing through a book his ralts sitting at his side trying to read with him , he smiled slightly and lay back " I'm getting tired " . That static wasn't so mind numbing now as he wondered what exactly was causing it , he set the book down and turned out the light . Ralts hopped on his chest curling up and falling asleep , the static blared with a few words " good night '' .
