"You've got to be kidding me." Kero let out.
"Do we look like we're kidding?" Lee gruffly replied.
"He actually let her do that...Reincarnation did do something to him, but I think it's his youth coming back to him." Kero began.
"What do you mean, Kero?" Sakura asked.
"well, Clow loved to experiment," the guardian began to explain.
"Yes, he tried to push the boundaries of magic as far as he could. That's why he created the cards in the first place." Lee picked up.
"Yes, and most likely after Trenton showed up Eli started to research demonic magic. He probably found that ritual that Shienna performed and kept that knowledge to himself. Now Shienna is enslaved to Eli, but he's got to be careful. He's got to give her specific commands or she'll do his bidding in a way that he won't like." Kero finished and Lee grinned.
"Serves him right," Lee said but received an elbow by Sakura.
"I am better, mama, can I fight now?" ember asked.
"Kero?" Sakura asked turning to the older guardian beast.
"His magic has stabilized, so he won't go Wulf on you." Kero answered.
"I'm going over to Madison's mom's...if I look as much like my mother, then maybe I can finally break through to her." Sakura said to Lee.
"I wish you wouldn't go alone." Lee pleaded.
"Don't worry," she said and kissed him. "I'll take the cards and we've got the link, remember?" she finished.
"Yeah, but that won't stop me from worrying about you." Lee countered and Sakura giggled.

"You didn't tell me she was such an inspired seamstress." Viktor said to his son as they worked in the main lab.
"Sorry, I didn't think she'd quickly convert one of the spare rooms so quickly. I guess for now she knows that she has to make her own money at the moment."
"I've got to say one thing though, it's good to have a cook in this place...neither of us know that art all that well." Viktor chuckled and Josh shook his head.
"True, I think she's going to fatten us up if this keeps up."
"You need the fattening up more than I do, son." Viktor commented and Josh rolled his eyes.

'Damn him, damn him! I shouldn't be surprised though, he's pulled stunts like this before.' Var thought pacing in his lair. 'Bitch wanted her powers back, but it came at a price and Eli was all to willing to collect. Wait a damn minute, he must have known about that ritual ahead of time. It was an oversight on my part not to kill Shienna. That will never happen again. Hmmm, what's this? Sakura Avalon, by herself? Interesting. I must watch for the perfect time to strike. It's rare when they are separate and I must take advantage of this oppertunity.'

'Mom, if you're there, help me.' Sakura thought. Samantha's footsteps echo down the hallway as she approached the main sitting room. Mrs. Taylor stopped seeing Sakura sitting in the middle of the room. The older woman bit her lower lip feeling all too uncomfortable already with the situation.
"Why did you do it?" Sakura asked.
"Do What?" Samantha asked trying not to sound unnerved.
"Why did you cast your daughter out?" Samantha was now on edge. It was as if Natasha had possessed her own daughter in order to haunt her for her decision.
"She did something that I don't approve of."
"Is it Josh or her having sex you don't approve of?"
"Both." she answered quickly.
"Are you jealous?"
"no!
" "No? Are you that sure?"
"Of course I am!"
"You couldn't see that I was in love with someone and now you are blind to the fact that your daughter has found someone to love."
"She doesn't love him and you didn't love Aidon either!" she cried.
"But I do and your daughter loves Josh."
"Go away!"
"Not until you accept your daughter's love for Josh."
"Stop haunting me..." she started sobbing.
"You've let your cold heart guide you and you're pushing away everyone."
"She wasn't supposed to fall for a boy."
"You can't plan out every second of her life. Love isn't something that is planned for. It comes like a thief in the night."

'What is she doing? She seems to be acting like she's her mother and she's talking to Taylor's mother.' Var thought continuing to watch.

"Madison is a big girl now. You've got to let her make her own choices."
"But she's making the wrong choices."
"She's got to deal with making the wrong choices. She'll never learn to be her own woman if you don't let her."
"But why didn't she love your daughter?" she asked now fully believing that Sakura was Natasha Avalon.
"Because Sakura was crushing on Julian and then fell in love with Lee."
"It's not fair!"

'Finally, she left that woman's home. That was stranger than any of that idiots experiments.' Var thought letting his thoughts drift back to the days of when was the apprentice of Clow's. 'Time to attack.'

'I think I got to her this time. I didn't want to leave her curled up on the couch crying, but she needs to think about what she's done to Madison. That was a little...' Sakura's thought stopped when Var's attack almost took her head off.
"Wanna play?" Var asked grinning madly. Var attacked again not giving Sakura a chance to contact Lee. 'I've got to keep on her or she'll call in her other thought.' he thought as he continued to attack the female half of the card masters.

'Var, he's attacking someone...Sakura!' Lee frantically thought. He bolts out of the apartment and heads on. Wei, seeing that his charged had quickly left, Wei picked up the phone and Dialed over to Meilin's phone which was at the Drumhildes. Odds were that Var was at it again and Sakura was the one in trouble.

"Awe, can't even make an attempt to use one of your cards?" Var taunted. Sakura pants from exertion. The dodging she had to do was straining her, but she wasn't going to use Jump unless she was really in a bind.

Madison was tucked behind Josh as the two flew on his flying disk. Josh was scanning to find where the battle was taking place. Spotting the two, he activates his phone function to inform the others.
"I've found them...watch for the fireworks." Josh said and quickly broke the connection. He arms his weapons and began to fire.

"it's over, Avalon, Now you..." Var said but was stopped by several mini-missiles crashed against his back. He is sent flying away from Sakura and Josh landed a moment later. Meilin, Wulf, and Lee showed up a moment later.
"Damn you!" Var shouted. Once again that boy had turned the tide just before he was gong to actually gain a victory. Knowing that he was out gunned he left. Lee checks over Sakura to make sure she was alright. That had been too close for Lee's comfort.
