Samantha almost jumped out of her skin seeing the figure sitting casually at her private dining table. She glared at the figure wondering how he got in passed security.
"Good evening, Ms. Taylor, I'm Var Chokal." he introduced. "Have a seat." he said and a chair moved so that she could sit.
"You're the one they are fighting aren't you?"
"I am."
"What do you want?"
"You don't like Karthing do you?" he asked.
"I don't." she admitted.
"Then let's make a deal. You lure them both here and I'll take out Karthing and you can have your daughter back."
"And what makes you think I can trust you'll live up to your end of the bargain?" she asked.
"Karthing is all I want. Your daughter is no threat to me." Var stated.
"What do I do?" she asked. She wanted her daughter but she didn't want to submit to her daughter's relationship with the Karthing boy.
"Say that you've seen the light and you wish to talk to the both of them. They'll come and I'll do the rest." Var said. 'But you won't know that I'll be taking Madison as well.'

"It just seems too good to be true." Josh began.
"I know, but my mother sounded serious. If she's accepted us then that'll be one problem that we don't have to deal with." Madison said with a smile. The two held hands as they made their way back to Madison's mom's home.

"It's good to have you back, Madison." Samantha said. He didn't know why, but Josh was very nervous but he could put his finger on why. On cue, a spell activates and Madison and Josh both felt that they couldn't move their bodies. They heard the laughter of Var and saw the dark mage stand in front of them.
"You may thank your mother for this, Taylor. She helped me get the two of you." Var said with a vicious smirk.
"Let my daughter go, you've got the Karthing boy." Samantha demanded.
"Rule number one," he said and blasted Samantha in the chest knocking her out. "Never trust anyone, especially me." Var said and with the bound Josh and Madison, the three vanished.

"You've got me Var, let Madison go!" Josh shouted. He and Madison were chained back to back, still clothed, hanging from the ceiling.
"Not going to happen, Karthing. Now they should be..." Var said and a spell blasted a whole in the wall which allowed Shienna, Spinner, and Eli come into the building. The wall repaired itself and Var frowned at the results of his trap.
"You? I thought the others would be the ones to rescue these two."
"They'll probably be here any minute, but I felt that teleportation spell you used and figured I'd drop in and se what you were doing. Shienna free them, Spinner, guard Madison." e ordered his guardians. Shienna snarled but complied. Var fired but Eli blocked it.
"And just why have you shown up? This was a trap for the others?" Var asked attacking again.
"I didn't know at first that you had the lovely Madison in your clutches. But now that i know, I have more of a motivation don't I?" Eli asked. Sakura, Lee, Meilin, and Wulf come charging through the same Wall that Eli had blasted, using the Through card to do so, and joined in the fight.
"Well, god to see you actually acting for once!" Lee shouted at Eli as the group dodge spells and counter attacked the dark mage.
"If you wouldn't mind, Shieena, you may join in the fight. Do make sure you attack Var and not me or anyone else." Eli said with a smile.
'Damn him, I thought I'd be able to attack one of those fools!' Shienna said and her demonic aura dwarfs most of the magical users in the room.
"Not today!" Var shouted and vanished.
"You ok?" Josh asked Madison who nodded her answer.
"Where the hell are your weapons?" Eli asked accusingly.
"We were invited to talk to her mother, but she was the one that had made a deal with Var." Josh tried to defend himself.
"Can't even protect her properly, and you call yourself a genius." Eli spat. Lee bit his lip. He was starting to wonder whether or not binding Shienna to him hadn't been a mistake.
"my mother! She was hurt by Var before he brought us here!" Madison cried.
"Let's go!" Sakura said and the group run back for Madison's mom's home.

"She'll be fine," Wei reported. "The Healing card took care of most of the damage. Rest should take care of the rest."
"Good, I thought for a moment..." Madison began to say and Josh wrapped an arm around her to Eli's dismay.
"Madison," Lee began, "I think she's mentally unstable. This last incident is proof of it."
"You're right, I'll call in the company therapist and she'll examine her." Madison said.
"Madison, I..."
"No Sakura, you thought you were helping by pretending to be your mother. You thought that my mother would listen to someone that looked like your mother. It's not your fault, nor anyone else's." she finished with a sigh.

The pair appeared in her room with the last of her things. Madison puts the last of the suitcases down and kissed her boyfriend.
"Thanks."
"No problem. We're going to miss you at the lab." Josh said.
"My cooking or my pussy?" she asked with a grin and Josh blushed. "Hey, now, while my mom is going through in-patience therapy, we can be free to see each other anytime we want."
"True." he said with a smile.
"I hope they can help her. If she can't be helped, there are those within my mom's business that have been waiting on a chance like this."
"Don't worry, she's rich enough to afford the best." Josh assured.
"I know, but if they take away everything my mother worked hard for, it might destroy her." Madison admitted and Josh held her close.
