Scorpinac: Yeah, Tori better go to the same place where Samantha is. The card was reacting to the sexual energy put out by Madison and Josh. Since it directly effected them, it is more attuned to them than most of the others, save for Lee and Sakura and Wulf and Meilin.

Var smiled viciously. His trap was ready, now all he had to do was make his two favorite targets come after the bait.
'Those two will come, and when they see that I've lured them into a trap, it'll be too late.' Var mused.

He made his way home after school. Living the furthest from the school, he had the longest walk than the others. He hears someone clear their throat and Josh turned to see Var standing casually. Josh went for his weapons but Var stopped him.
"I believe you may want to save that. Besides, you'll need all your weapons if you're going to save Madison."
"What, again!" Josh ranted.
"Yes, but this time it'll be a contest between you and Eli." Var explained.
"Eli?"
"Yes. Which one of you can find Madison within the maze I've created. Oh, but don't think you'll have an easy time of it, Karthing." he said and Josh growled in frustration.
"Ok Var, I'll play your game, but if she's hurt..."
"I assure you that she is fine." Var said and dropped a slip of paper at the boy's feet and vanished.
'Damnable time for her not to be able to come to school today. Who knew running a toy company was so much work. Damn, I'm going to have to get her something that'll allow me to keep track of her while not being something that's keeping track of her.'

"Var's here," Shienna said nonchalantly.
"What? Var's here?" Eli sprang up."
"Well, if you weren't thinking about Karthing's girl you'd be able to feel Var's presence outside your little ward." Shienna retorted.
"She's not Josh's...grrr," Eli complained and teleported outside.

"I was wondering if I had to put on a pot of coffee." Var joked.
"Oh, and when did you pick up a sense of humor?" Eli asked.
"Do you think so little of me?" he asked mock hurt in his voice. "Now, down to business. Your beloved Madison is in the center of a maze I've created. I've already sent Josh to rescue her. You think you can beat him?" Var asked pushing the right button.
"Alright, where is she?" Eli asked gritting his teeth.
"This will give you the location." Var said and 'a slip of paper floated over to Eli and the dark mage vanished.
'Karthing, I'm going to prove how impudent you really are.' Eli vowed.

'An indoor maze...ok, so he used his magic to create it, but come on, has he forgotten that I've beaten him before?' Josh asked and avoided the fire ball. 'On the other hand, he's going all out to kill me.'
"Well, I thank you for tripping that magical trap." Eli stated with a smirk.
"And how did you know about this?" Josh asked.
"Our favorite dark mage told me. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to rescue Madison." Eli said and disappeared down the path. Josh sighed realizing the reincarnated mage was turning this into who was the better boy for Madison. He wouldn't let his jealousy get him unfocused. He continued through the maze for another five minutes or so, dodging or shielding himself from the magical obstacles that tried to kill him. Then, his phone function activated as it received a call. He sighed and tried to catch his breath before he answered. He couldn't get the others involved...Var would surely hurt Madison if he did so.
"Hello," he greeted.
"And why aren't you here?"
"Madison?"
"Who else would be expecting?" she asked in mock annoyance.
"Uh, where are you?"
"Laying in my mother's bed, naked." she began with a sultry purr. Josh checked his equipment to verify that Madison was actually on the phone. As he double checked, he scanned for life signs and found that only he and Eli were the only ones here. Making sure Var's magic wasn't fucking with his equipment, he checked his results. Once he was satisfied he nodded to himself.
"Don't tell me you want to do it there?" Josh asked disbelievingly. through the wireless phone function, he tested a new feature, his intredimensional sensor. It came back with a positive match of Madison's location, her home, in her mother's private bedroom.
"It's the only place we haven't done it." she said.
"Just give me five minutes. You caught me in the middle of something."
"You better be here in five minutes, or I'll have o punish you." she said and Josh blushed. Cutting the connection, the boy genius sighed to himself.
'Do I save Eli, or just walk out of this trap and let Eli deal with Var on his own? No, five minutes should be long enough to convince him, but if it isn't, then I'll leave him to his fate.' he thought.

"Var, you're making things too easy for me." Eli said to himself. He then saw Josh appear in front of him.
"It's all an illusion, Eli. Madison is at home." Josh said.
"I have a hard time believing that." Eli fired back.
"I just got a call from her, she's at home. I checked and double check, we're the only ones here."
"You equipment can be fooled by magic."
"Var hasn't shown that ability." Josh said getting frustrated with Eli.
"You're poor attempt of diverting me has failed." Eli said and forced Josh to dodge an attack and he ran off. Josh sighed and activated his jump function.

"There you are, and just in time." Madison said smirking.
'Hope he doesn't get killed.' he thought before Madison stood to help him out of his equipment and clothes.

'Where did Karthing go? Or...shit!' Var thought then calmed down seeing Eli coming close to the prize. He smirked and teleported.
"So, I must fight you then?" Eli asked and Var chanted and the image of Madison's bound body vanished. Eli's widen in shock and a blow from Var knocked him down and out.
"The game is over, Eli. I win..." he started to gloat but Shienna's attack knocked him away from Eli.
"Var Var Var, did you not think I wouldn't show up to make sure I cold stay in this world? I give you an 'A' for effort, but coming close is for horseshoes." she finished and vanished.
"Lucky bastard. But I've fractured them further." he mused and teleported away as well after dispelling the maze.
