Faniction.net:

M.S Arashi Sumeragi: Hmm your name reminds me of Paradise Kiss. Anyway that’s the second time I have received something about him not caring. Actually, in my opinion, it would be in Aoshi’s character to bury his emotions deeper inside himself. He’s naturally a cold person; as some would say, but to actually lose someone your caring about wouldn’t that put your emotions in turmoil? I know it would me. Anyway Aoshi does care about Misao, he wouldn’t get flashes of stuff if his feelings weren’t there. You’ll see into his thoughts a little more in this chapter. I’ll tell you if the person I loved, lost their memories of me, I would be heart broken and it would be hard but I would try and help the person to regain their memory. I just envision Aoshi different. But he does care I promise. This is after all an Aoshi Misao pairing. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

CoNfUsEd BaKa: I kinda got confused writing it. I was so afraid it wouldn’t make any sense what so ever. I am glad you like it and I hope you like this chapter as well. Yes I will have another lemon in this, I’m hoping to have two more, but we’ll see what happens k. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Spirit Demon: Thanks so much. Thanks for reading and reviewing as well.

The Silly Koneko 2: I’m kinda wondering what that idea was, but their past, mostly Misao’s cause of her flashes from earlier will explain what happen in the two months. I’m just not sure of how I’m going to go about it yet.

The last Samurai: You’re a Hentai at heart aren’t you. Don’t feel bad I’m one as well. Lol I am planning on doing another lemon, if not two so you should be happy.

Thanks to all else who read and reviewed. I appreciate the reviews a lot. They help me to start the next chapter. Like today I was re reading he and the chapter and though I’ll start on the next chapter.

Aoshi paced in his living room. Misao was to get out of the hospital today. It had been three torturous days of not working on any cases. Aoshi was bored, ‘I don’t usually go out to do anything for fun, and sitting in this house is lo...boring’ Aoshi corrected himself. ‘Why did lonely come to mind?’ His phone ringing brought him out of his reverie. “Hello,” Aoshi said as he placed the receiver to his ear. “Alright I’ll be there to pick her up in a short time.”

Aoshi sighed as he hung the phone up. ‘This will be interesting.’ He grabbed his keys and headed out the door.

“Miss Makimachi please you have to take the wheel chair. Its the only way you’ll get out the doors.” The nurse sweat dropped as Misao was almost running around the room. “Those pains pills will only last you a couple days, then you’ll have to deal with the pain.” The nurse closed her eyes and shook her head. She opened her eyes at the Kachink noise. “MISS MAKIMACHI! PLEASE! STOP HANGING ON THE CURTAINS.”

“Ahh but its so much fun.” Misao dropped down, and scrunched up in pain as she agitated her wound.

“You have to learn control yourself Miss Makimachi, even the painkillers won’t help if you hurt yourself too much.”

“You haven’t figured out, that the pain killers are having this reaction on her?” The nurse jumped three feet into the air, and then turned around, a hand over her heart.

“Mr. Shinomori, if you don’t stop sneaking around, you’re going to give someone a heart attack.” A cold stare made her huff and she left the room. “She won’t be able to leave the hospital unless she’s in the wheel chair.”

Aoshi shook his head, a whimper from Misao causing him to look at her. She gripped her side. “Misao did you reopen your wound.” He walked toward her slowly. He helped her back to the bed. She sat down.

“I guess I shouldn’t be jumping around so much.” Misao winced.

“Its the painkillers. They make you act strange. Though your the first person, I’ve ever seen jump around on curtains.” Aoshi smirked at the thought.

“Why dose this seem so familiar?” Misao question as she placed a hand against her forehead.

(FLASH BACK)

Aoshi stared at Misao his thoughts being invaded.

“Aoshi that hurts, stop it.”

“I have to make sure you didn’t reopen your wound.”

“It just hurts, leave me alone.”

“Misao.” Aoshi looked up and glared at Misao.

“My legs fine, in fact the doctor said I could go back to work in a week. Why do you care if I reopened it or not?”

“You’re my partner and I’m suppose to make sure you’re alright.”

“Suuuure, if you say so, sssssshhhh.” Misao sucked air in between her teeth. “Aoshi that really hurts.”

Aoshi sighed as he dropped his hands. “Misao you complain too much. You’re also the first person I’ve seen jump around on curtains.”

Misao started giggling. “Yeah painkillers have thus effect on me. Instead of making me tired I seem to get more energy, it’s quite odd.” Misao giggled at the look on Aoshi’s face. “That’s the first time you’ve ever reacted to anything.

Aoshi’s eyes were slightly wide. “Its he first time I’ve heard something like that.” Aoshi stated as he stood.

“Yeah, I got that from my friends as we. Though they told me I was just weird.” Misao smiled.

“You’re not strange or weird.” Misao had her head bowed and at Aoshi’s words she raised her head to look him in the eyes. “We’re all different, we were raised that way and no matter what others say, you are you.” Aoshi was silent after that Misao kept glancing up to him, while he waited for the nurse to return.

(END OF FLASH BACK)

“...shi, Aoshi?” Misao placed her hand over her mouth. “I’m sorry should I refer to you as Shino...”

“Aoshi is fine,” Aoshi interrupted Misao, as his stone cold gaze met her bright blue gaze. Misao stood with the help of Aoshi, her eyes still staring into Aoshi’s. She lifted her right hand toward Aoshi’s face. Aoshi’s eyes followed Misao’s hand, breaking the eye contact. Misao’s hand was an inch away from Aoshi’s face. Aoshi grabbed her wrist lightly and pulled her hand away, leading her to the wheel chair. “Please cooperate and sit in the chair.”

Misao’s eyes were cast down as she numbly nodded. ‘His eyes are so cold. It was hard to look away, ye it was hard to break the stare as well.’ Misao slowly sat down in the chair.

Aoshi wheeled Misao into the hallway, where the nurse was waiting. She switched places with Aoshi and wheeled Misao toward the elevator.

Aoshi arrived at his house the whole car ride had been silent. Misao stared out the window looking at the scenery

Aoshi got out oft he car and closed the door. He walked over to Misao’s side opened the door and helped her out. Misao held on to Aoshi’s arm as they walked up to the house. Aoshi hit the lock button and the alarm button on his car remote.

“You lock your car?”

Aoshi closed his eyes and sighed. “Yes.”

“Okay...why do you live out here?”

“I like solitude.” ‘She’s asking more questions now.’ Aoshi thought.

“Ohh,” Misao mumbled before they were standing in front of the door.

Aoshi unlocked the door and went to walk in. Misao tugged on his arm causing Aoshi to look back. Misao’s eyes were wider than usual, and she blinked a lot. She looked up at Aoshi. “Sorry,” Misao mumbled. Her head downcast as, Misao was led inside. ‘I just got a feeling that he’s helped me once before into this house.’

“Misao?”

“Yes”

“Do you want to sleep down here or in a room?”

“I get a choice why?”

“You’re injury makes it pretty hard to move, and climbing all those stairs would probably agitate your wound.” Aoshi explained.

“Yeah I guess your right, where would I stay if was down here?”

“Its down this way, there are some blankets in this cupboard. Aoshi motioned with his hand what he was talking about. (Remember there’s a little cupboard type thing built under the stairs)

“Okay.” Misao mumbled as her eyes followed his movements closely, ‘He so handsome and his voice is so deep. I wonder what its been like for the pas t two months for us. I fell like I’ve forgotten something important that if I don’t hurry and remember then it will be gone for good.’ Aoshi rounded a corner and Misao followed stopping dead in her tracks as a flash of something came into her mind.

‘Ice eyes staring into mine and lips pressed to my hands...’ Misao grabbed her head as the flash went away.

“Misao?” Aoshi stopped as he heard he gasp and then whimper. He turned toward her and her eyes were now wide. “What’s wrong Misao?”

“I want to know if something has happened between us in the last two months.” Misao ordered, as the look in those ice eyes wouldn’t leave her.

Aoshi kept his face in its cold mask and blinked at her, while his mind asked, ‘Did she remember something?’

Aoshi turned to face her, “You can sleep here, we’ll have dinner in about four hours.” Aoshi replied a he walked past her. Two hands gripped his upper arm making him stop and turn his head to look at her.

“I have a right to know if something happened between us or not.” Aoshi blinked at her, “It’s not fair if something happened and I don’t know.” Misao whined close to tears.

“If something did happen and you lose your memory it hurts the other person as well, now let me go.” Aoshi’s mask stayed in place. Misao dropped her arms and nodded.

“You’re right if I had someone I cared about loose their memories then it would hurt to much to talk about.”

“I need to go out for awhile stay in the house.” Misao scrunched her face in annoyance.

“I’m not a child. I am not helpless I can take care of myself.” Misao growled.

“With your injury you won’t be at your best it’s best to stay inside.”

“FINE!” Misao yelled, regretting as her side started aching.

“I’ll be back shortly.”

Misao was lying on the couch; she’d just drifted into a light sleep when a loud knocking sounded on the door. Misao slowly got off the couch, ‘Stupid pain pills are starting to wear off.’ Misao manage to get to the door and unlocked it opening it.

“Ice....Misao?”

Misao had her head down, and then looked up. “Sano?” Misao cocked her head to the side. “You’re in a police officers uniform why?”

Sano raised his eyebrow at her, “Yeah I decided being I wanted to be a regular cop remember? ” He saw Misao’s eyes saddened as she lowered her head again. “Uh what’d I say this time?”

“I can’t remember anything from the last two months. I got stabbed with some type of poison or something.” Misao replied moving out of the way motioning for Sano to come in.

“Jeez, sorry Misao.” Sano scratched the back of his head. ‘She probably doesn’t remember the fight we had either.’ He saw Misao wince, “What’s up?”

“Oh nothing.” Misao waved him off. Sano scoffed. “What?”

“It’s never nothing with you.”

“My pain pills are wearing off, so it hurts to stand.” Misao winced again.

“Lets get you to Shinomori’s sitting room then.” Sano bent down, placed Misao’s left arm around his neck, and helped her back to the sitting room. “I heard ya got hurt and all, I didn’t realize you got hurt bad enough to have Ice block look after ya though.”

“Yeah well I wish I could remember what happen, I keep getting flashes of things but I don’t now if they’re memories or what.”

“I can’t help ya there, I bet they probably are memories though, why?”

“Well I always she ice blue eyes staring at me. I know what the look is, yet I don’t.” Misao laughed.

‘Nope, she doesn’t remember the fight.’

Flash Back

“Sano you asshole lets move on this case, or else.” Misao growled.

“We can wait another day before we move out.” Sano said lazily.

“I want to get this over with, I hate these type of cases.” Misao plopped into her desk chair. “Why do you always want to wait Sano?”

“I’m lazy, I don’t like spending every waking moment on crap like you do. You go out of your way to solve a case, even if it’s over time.”

“Yeah, well I’m not a half ass cop, now get you’re ass up or I’ll move out without you. The quicker we get this done the sooner we get a different case.”

“Fine go, I ain’t going to do anything till tomorrow it took us three days straight, thanks to you to, to even get a lead, let alone to crack the case itself. You need to get some rest.”

A glare from Misao shut him up as she grabbed her gun and holster. “Say what you want, I’m going to go then see ya later.”

“If ya ain’t dead.” Sano drawled.

“I won’t die, yet.” Misao waved him off.

End Of Flash Back

“What are you thinking about?” Misao’s voice interrupted Sano’s thoughts.

“Just something that happened awhile ago.” Sano stated sadly. “So you see Ice blue eyes in these quick little flashes?”

“Yeah, I haven’t had a chance to look at Aoshi’s eyes. His bangs always cover them, do you know what color they are.

“Yeah, there a real light blue, I guess you could say ice color.” Sano saw Misao’s smile turn to a frown.

“I asked him if anything happened between us, and he just ignored the question and then told me something.”

“What did he say?”

“He said if something did happen, it would be hard for the other person. His face never changed.”

“Well I can’t tell ya if anything happened, I know ya kissed and all, but if he won’t tell ya then no one really can. I saw something, but I’d rather not tell ya, cause if Ice boy finds out he shoot me, and I feel like living.”

“Yeah I can’t really ask anyone, can I?” Misao sighed. “I guess I’ll have to wait until he tells me himself.”

“Yeah you will, I will tell you he cares for you though. Made my nose bleed even.” Sano chuckled, “Then told me to get out of his house, before I bled on his rug.”

Misao laughed along with him. “It would be nice if I could see what he’s like at work.”

“He can’t work till you’re fighting fit.”

“Ohh that’s right, I think he told me about that. I’m not sure.”

“He’ll tell ya sometime, when he can sort out his feelings.” Sano smiled. “You just gotta be patient.” Sano’s eyes widened. “Ohh yeah, or you could call her and she could tell ya if anything happened, since he won’t say a word.” Sano pulled a card from his pocket. “This was the lady you and Ice boy were guarding. I came over to find out where you were because she wanted me to give it to you.”

“That can’t be the only reason, you don’t go out of your way.” Misao eyed him.

“Nope I don’t, but Saitou wanted me to come over and talk to Shinomori. It seems Kenshin would like to talk to him. This whole case has gotten out of hand.”

“Why would you say that?”

“It just has, you’d understand if you were able to remember.” Sano said sadly.

‘Don’t inform her of any of the case, she is no longer on the case and does not need to be informed. You need to talk to Aoshi and ask him to do the same. Kenshin would also like to talk to him. Give him this number.’ A voice sounded in his head.

“Well I gotta go, could you give this to Shinomori, please. Its from Kenshin,” Misao nodded. She smiled at him.

Misao sighed as Sano left. ‘ I know I should wait for Aoshi to tell me, but I want to find out now.’
________________________________________________________________________

Sano locked the door on his way out. ‘She’s definitely the Misao I remember before meeting Shinomori. Also before that fight.”

FLASH BACK

“Sano you dumb ass, how could you let her go on her own? You’re her partner and neither of you are to move out without the other unless told so.”

“I’m not gonna follow her every time she wants to go on a case. We work three days straight just cracking the case and then worked 18 hours the next day just to solve the case.”

“You mean to be able to go in and solve it.”

“Yeah.”

A growl was heard, “Well it’s solved with her in the hospital yet again.”

“What happen this time?”

“If she hadn’t moved out last night to try and solve the case, then we’d be where we were in the beginning.”

Sano bowed his head as the yelling went on. As soon as Sano was able to he left to go see Misao.

“Misao?” Sano spoke softly as he entered her room.

“What Sano?”

“I wanted to apo...”

“Say you’re sorry, yeah well if you’d gone with me I’d still be able to work.”

“You shouldn’t have left without me, you should have waited.” Sano’s voice rose.

“If I’d waited, we’d be back to where we started. I’m not going to loose the lead just because you want to be lazy.” Misao’s voice rose.

“I’m not gonna drain myself to live up to your standards. You worked three days straight with 4 hours sleep for those three days. Then the next day you got the lad, after 18 hours of work, and then you wanted to go solve the flipping case right away.”

“Yeah I did all the work, while you sat on your duff,” Misao growled.

“Yeah, it would be better if we weren’t partners.” Sano replied

“Yeah well no worries there I’m being transferred to another precinct.”

“Good maybe you can get a reality check and learn not everything has to be done right away.”

“Maybe you’ll get a partner, that will bail you out like always.” Misao shouted.

“Whatever, I’m outta here, see ya, when I see ya.” Sano replied angrily.

END OF FLASH BACK

‘That fight wasn’t too bad though some of those insults stung a little harshly. I mean her getting a new partner and being transferred, she could have told me sooner, because as soon as she got out of the hospital that time she was no longer my partner. She was also the only girl I know who could scream after being shot in the shoulder.’ Sano thought as he got into his car and drove away.

Wowza a 10-page chapter you all better be happy. Yupppppp the ending sucked, but I’m not really in the mood to write, I wanted to get this done though. So now ya know some of Misao past and a couple times she was hurt. Hehe also a twist on the relationship thing too hehe. Okay yeah anyway I have really bad back pains right now so I gotta go sitting here isn’t helping at alllllll. Hope you like it.
