The classroom was simply the place made to ensure that the learning environment be of the same quality of the learning experience. It was a place where the future leaders of tomorrow were educated today and that by itself was reason enough to make the experience as good as possible. Though the classroom itself looked bland with the blank chalk board and empty desks, it was when it was filled with students that it was reached its full potential.
“Call me a devil one more time stooge!”
Well, some of the time.
Touji smirked as he accepted the challenged with ease, “Devil!”
Shinji shook his head before closing his laptop and resting his head on it. With the teacher late, everyone was carrying on like it was recess. Kensuke was laughing while Touji ran from Hikari, Asuka shaking her fist at the retreating boy, the tall girl in the back of the class was talking to the boy beside her, and Rei was quietly looking out of the window.
It was hectic but, at the same time, it was peaceful…
The pilot put his hand over his mouth as he yawned. He could fall asleep now and wouldn’t even have to move until the teacher came in.
His nap was the last thing on his mind as the teacher opened the door and walked in.
Everyone froze as a young woman walked into the room carrying a briefcase. Her long black hair was held up with a clip and her glasses hid her eyes thanks to the light that refracted off them.
The white sleeveless button up shirt matched her soft skin complexion well but it was the long skirt that drew everyone’s, mainly the boys, attention. It wasn’t so much that it displayed her figure looked but the split that almost matched the length of the skirt.
Bending over to place her briefcase on the floor, she removed her glasses and looked at everyone. She looked the class over before she spoke, “Class representative?”
Hikari blinked, “Yes… Oh!”
She took her eyes off Touji as she rushed to the front of the class, “Rise! Bow! Sit!”
Vaguely nodding, everyone followed Hikari’s directions before the new teacher decided to take a seat at her desk. In the silence brought on by her entrance, the woman sat upright in her seat as she took off her glasses.
Her dark green eyes surveyed the class, “I would like for you to call me Ms. Miyoji.” She said softly, knowing she had everyone’s attention.
Someone in the back of the class nervously held up a hand, “Um… W-What happened to the teacher?”
“There is no cause for concern,” She stood up as she picked up the roll, “He simply had other matters to attend to.”
Slowly, other hands start to rise from all over the class.
“Do you know when he will be back?” A girl asked as she closed her laptop.
“What are we going to work on?”
A boy waved his hands in the air, “Can we be dismissed early?”
“Can I-“
Hikari stood up, “Stop asking so many questions at once!”
Ms. Miyoji nodded as she moved to the front of the class, “Let me call the roll first and I’ll be pleased to answer your questions one at a time.”
Waiting until she heard the collective yes ma’am from the class, she started to examine the roll as she called out the names. Again, the class returned to the awkward silence it took after she entered the room as she said their names.
“Hatori Naomi?”
“Present!”
She read the name off the list and double checked before she said it, “Ikari… Shinji?”
Ms. Miyoji raised her head as Shinji looked up. For a moment, their eyes met. Her jade green stared directly into his ocean blue. There was no mistaking it. Those tired blue eyes, that slightly blank expression, and the way he adverted his eyes when he realized that they were holding eye contact…
“Here…”
She almost took a step forward until she quickly realized that he didn’t remember her. It made sense that he would forget so easily seeing that he was moving on with his life but why would he choose to come to this city of all places she didn’t know.
The young woman decided to continue before anyone noticed that she stopped on his name. She took her time to memorize each name as she read them off the list but, in the back of her mind, her thoughts were on the pilot who rested his head back on his desk.
Barely keeping her poise as her heart pounded in her chest, she wanted to stop what she was doing and talk to him but that would only serve to make things complicated for both of them. Wisely, the teacher decided it would be best to summon him to her desk before lunch started.
Finishing the roll, Ms. Miyoji answered the questions that were asked of her and then pulled out the lesson plan left for her which only consisted of one subject.
Second Impact.
Ranging from the drastic number of deaths to the abrupt change of climate, the teacher’s lesson plan contained almost everything he wanted the class to cover. Flipping through the notebook for a while, she found an appropriate place to start.
Sadly, it was the same place the teacher usually started.
“Second Impact melted the polar caps and…”
~*~
The teacher’s notes were longer than she expected. By the time she was at the geographical changes, the lunch bell started to ring. The class was dismissed for the time being and she flipped through the notebook to discover that she didn’t even cover a fifth of what was written.
She would save that to think about later. For now, she had something else on her mind as the students filtered out of the room, “Ikari?”
Shinji and a few of his classmates turned to their substitute teacher. Ms. Miyoji nodded as he pointed at himself to make sure, “Yes, you.” She confirmed causing him to gulp.
Nervously, he stood in front of her desk and she waited until everyone finally left them alone. Removing her glasses, she looked him in the eye, “Shinji… You don’t recognize me?”
He blinked when she used his first name, “Um… no.”
She felt a bit hurt that he forgot about her but making him remember would be easy, “It’s me, Aya.” She said with a smile.
That name…
A long time ago, there was a girl a few years older than him who used to assist his teacher around the house but that wasn’t strange considering that his wife died a long time ago. It wasn’t long before they got to know each other since she came over every other day but the only thing he really remembered about her was her name and that she lived across the street.
At first, it was only accidental contact when they bumped into each other while they were doing the chores but it eventually turned into something more. All he could remember were the instances where someone was laughing and touching him. The rest were foggy memories that he scarcely remembered.
Looking at his teacher, he could now put a face on the person he could hardly remember, “Aya you…”
“Shinji,” She cut him off as she got out of her seat, “You left because of me?”
Her student quickly shook his head, “My father called.”
Aya nodded, “So you live with him now?”
He turned away and looked at the floor, “No, I’m a pilot.”
“You’re the pilot of one of… those things?” She asked as her calm expression gave way to concern. Before she took the job, she saw footage of one of the machines fighting with one of the monsters that invaded the city.
Even if she agreed to take this job because of the pay, she couldn’t see someone like Shinji fighting those things under any condition.
When he nodded she decided to change the subject because of the obvious distress the thought of being a pilot was bringing him. Looking around to make sure no one was watching, she stood up and walked towards him, “Shinji, I know it’s kind of late but I’m sorry for leaving you.”
“Oh? That’s okay.”
“No, it’s not,” She put her hand on his shoulder, “The reason you probably don’t remember me is because I picked up and left so suddenly…”
Again, a memory flashed into his mind.
Her parents were yelling at her in the dining room. He watched from behind his teacher as her mother continued to scream at her but he couldn’t recall what was being said. Despite that, he could remember in detail was how Aya stared at him as her parents continued to yell at her.
That was the last time they saw each other.
“My mother kicked me out of the house but your teacher gave me enough money to get to an all girl’s school.” She smiled despite how she felt inside, “I think I wanted to become a teacher thanks to him…”
“I’m sorry but I can’t remember what happened exactly.” Shinji said as he kept his eyes on the floor.
“That’s okay,” She brought her hand off his shoulder and returned to her side, “I kind of told my parents that I was involved with you and they didn’t like the thought of a sixteen year old being with a ten year old…”
Aya bit her lip before she decided to rephrase it, “Well, no one would really like anyone being involved with a ten year old…”
When her parents asked why she was spending so much time with him, she volunteered the information and all too quickly they nearly dragged her to the teacher’s house.
Although their age difference was obvious, it hurt to hear her own parents call her a molester and that wasn’t the only insult she received. It wasn’t surprising that they kicked her out considering how proud they were and didn’t want to house someone like her even if she was their own child.
That was perfectly fine since she didn’t favor them much in the first place. The only place where she could really be herself wasn’t at school where she studied as much as she could so she could one day get away from her parents and it obviously wasn’t at home where she was forced to do almost everything. It was only when she was around the timid boy she loved that she could really be herself.
Shinji cleared his throat, “We… We were really together?” He asked in utter disbelief as he looked the pretty woman in the face.
Aya nodded as she stepped forward, “I’m so glad I found you Shinji…”
She hugged him.
With a slight squeeze, she smiled as she remembered how much she missed him. It was merely by chance that she was assigned to this particular class and she was thankful to the point where she felt her eyes starting to water.
Four years…
For four long years she was out of his life.
His teacher pulled him closer, “I wanted to call you or even send a letter but the guidelines at the school were too strict…”
At this rate he was going to miss lunch, but that was the last thing he was concerned about at the moment. This woman was the same person he used to laugh and talk to before he even knew what a friend was exactly. She came out of nowhere and reminded him about things he forgot about so long ago.
However, what confused him weren’t her feelings but his own.
Even now as she held him, he didn’t know how to react. What was he supposed to do? Pretend he felt the same way about her? Honestly tell her that he didn’t share her feelings? Put his arms around her the same way she put her arms around him? Tell her that he was… uncomfortable?
Still, he felt strange since the familiar apple scent that clung to her put him so at ease…
“I know how you feel,” She sighed with obvious disappointment, “Right now, I’m just a stranger that knows who you are…”
“I kind of remember you it’s just-“
“You don’t love me anymore?”
So common were the stories of people falling in love that it was difficult to believe that someone could actually fall out of it. Overlooking the dramas he watched or the books he read, Shinji didn’t know anything about falling in love so to answer her question would be difficult.
Even if she still managed to maintain her cool composure, her dark green eyes pleaded with him to say what she wanted to hear. Not wanting to hurt her feelings or lie, he chose the only answer he could.
“I… don’t know.”
That was not what she wanted to hear.
Slowly nodding as his words sink in, she turned around and picked up her glasses off the desk. Quietly, she took her seat and pulled the teacher’s lesson plan back out.
“I’m-“
“Shinji you don’t have to apologize,” She fixed her glasses as she started to flip though the notes again, “I’m older now… I understand how you feel.”
“You should go and eat your lunch before it’s time for everyone to return to class.”
“No, I wanted to say I’m sorry that I didn’t remember you even though we,” He paused as he blushed, “Even though we were together.”
Amused, Aya placed the notes aside, “I’m not mad or anything if that’s what you think. Just remember that I’m the person who knows you the best Shinji.” She said with ease as she returned to reading the notes.
Finding relief in knowing that she wasn’t angry, Shinji moved to get his lunch.
“You can eat right here if you want to.”
“Someone could see us though…”
“I don’t mind if anyone knows about us.”
The pilot pulled out bento from under his desk, “That’s okay. I’ll eat right here.”
Aya smiled, “What if I told you to sit next to me because I’m your teacher?”
She looked at him through her dark locks of hair and Shinji stared back with an expression that said she wouldn’t. It was true that he didn’t like to be teased but she always found it fun to mess with him from time to time, “What are you waiting for?”
“Er… Yes ma’am.” He said before moving out of his seat and walking to her desk.
Like always, he gave in so easily that it took away from the fun but that was perfectly fine since she predicted he would do exactly that. Pushing her glasses back to the bridge of her nose, she looked at her student as he stood on the side of her desk with lunch in hand. Quickly, she realized her error when she noticed that he didn’t have anywhere to sit.
With her smile becoming brighter as Shinji opened the bento and started eating, she leaned back in her chair, “Do you want to sit on my lap?”
He chocked.
Aya reached into her briefcase and pulled out a bottle of water, “You still can’t take a joke huh?” She said as she handed him the water which he accepted.
“Idiot Shinji!”
He almost coughed up the water he was drinking.
Aya looked at the doorway where an obviously angry girl stood with her hands on her hips. She narrowed her eyes as she assumed his reaction wasn’t merely because she surprised him.
“A-Asuka?”
“Those stooges bothered me because they wanted to know where you were but they were too stupid to check the classroom. It’s your fault that I didn’t enjoy my lunch!”
“I’m sor-“
“Excuse me but,” Aya looked the girl in the eye, “Who are you?”
Deciding to save her talk with Shinji for their walk to the apartment, the pilot of Unit 02 turned towards her substitute teacher, “I’m Asuka Langley Sohryu.” She stated proudly as she walked into the room.
“You two are friends?”
In a classic display of melodrama, Asuka put her hand to her chest and over her heart, “We are just co-workers who are forced to be together almost all of the time.” Although her acting only served to make Shinji’s eyebrow twitch as he noticed the expression on her face, her words slightly bothered her new teacher.
Aya lowered her eyes, “Together…?”
“No!” Asuka yelled as a pink tint started to color her cheeks, “We just live together. Me and that idiot would never….” She trailed off, not needing to fake acting to show what she thought of a relationship with her roommate.
“Never what?” Shinji asked as he curiously looked at her.
Muttering something in German, Asuka decided to retire to her seat as the rest of the class started to return to the room. Thankfully, no one asked why he was standing with his lunch but what he was worried about was the look on Aya’s face.
“A- Ms. Miyoji, are… are you okay?”
It was so easy a question to ask that her reaction caught him off guard. More than the playful grins that she had earlier, the blissful smile on her face surprised him, “You used to ask me that question a lot…”
Everyone continued to filter into the room but the two of them kept looking at each other. The person in front of him was possibly the most important person in his life and he repaid her by forgetting about her.
Even though it was easy to take notice of that, it bothered him that he had virtually no feelings for her whatsoever. This pretty woman was willing to be with him against the wishes of her parents who she left because of him… and he forgot.
“Ikari, you can take your seat.”
Shinji’s thoughts subsided as her soft voice flowed into his ears, “What…?”
Looking around, he realized that everyone was seated and was staring at him. As he returned to his seat the only thing on his mind wasn’t the fact that he missed lunch.
The single thought he held was why someone as beautiful as Aya even like him?
~*~
“I wasn’t informed that I have assign students to clean up the classroom.”
Hikari nodded as the clock ticked down to the final minutes of class, “It’s our responsibility.”
Aya nodded as she bit her lip and looked over the class. It wouldn’t be hard to randomly choose two students out of the class but she didn’t even know half of the students’ names yet.
Her jade eyes trailed across the rows until her sight landed on Shinji and, instantly, an idea came to mind. Sitting upright in her seat, Aya stared directly at him as most of the class eagerly awaited to be dismissed, “Ikari, you will stay.”
“Yes ma’am…”
“You have to choose someone else to help him,” The class representative added as the time for the bell to ring approached.
“I was not aware of this before so I’ll help him,” She looked at her wrist watch as Shinji caught envious glares from a good number of his classmates, “Class dismissed.”
The teacher and her student stayed in their seats as the students left the classroom to take part in their afternoon activities. Again waiting until the last person gathered her books and left, Aya got up and pushed her chair under the desk, “I wanted to talk to you some more Shinji.”
Figuring as much, he stayed in his seat while she neared him.
“I have so much I want to ask you…” Aya took off her glasses as she spoke, “I’m just so happy that I managed to see you again.”
“W-Why do you like me so much?” Shinji turned away from her, “I’m not special or anything… I even forgot about you.”
She showed him by softly placing her hand on top of his, “You’re the most important person to me. I would have taken you with me if I could but I’m glad I can say I love you in person.”
His eyes went wide in shock as he heard her words, “But why?”
“You’re sensitive to things so I protected you from everyone. I’m the reason you are the person you are today… I don’t want to pressure you into feeling the same way but I just wanted you to know why.”
“It’s wrong though…”
She rubbed his hand, “What’s wrong?”
“You feel that way about me but I didn’t do anything,” Shinji scratched the side of his face as he tried to gather the right words to say, “I don’t deserve any of this… I’m not good enough for you.”
“Shinji?”
He turned back around to face his teacher, “Ye-“
She kissed him.
No holding of his nose, no tension between them, and not even the slightest bit of force behind it. She gripped the desk as she leaned forward. Although surprised, he quickly relented to her advances as her tongue swirled over his lips.
Aya lifted her hand off his and put it on his face as the kiss got heavier. The moment his lips parted, her tongue slowly made its way into his mouth and he could taste her.
Needless to say, he savored the sweet taste the peppermint left in her mouth.
“Mmm,” She licked her lips after she moved back, “I missed that, too.”
Speechless, Shinji could only stare at the woman in amazement as she continued to speak. Why did she kiss him? Why did she love him? What was he supposed to do? All of his questions spun around in his head without an answer until she spoke.
“You’re wondering why?” She smiled as the stunned look on his face told her that the prediction was correct, “Let a kiss be a kiss… and you deserve more than you think.”
“I know I’m late but I’m still the person who cares about you the most. You don’t have to love me… Just let me take care of you, okay?” She continued.
Shinji shook his head, “I… I want to feel the same way about you though.”
It was her turn to be surprised for once but her bright smile retuned to her face, “I guess I can’t predict you all the time anymore. Let’s leave.”
“I thought you-”
“I’m not your teacher right now Shinji and no one will be here tomorrow anyway.” The expression on his face amused her as she successfully predicted what he would say, “Besides, I want to see where you live.”
Shinji handed her the glasses she left on the desk, “Won’t it be out of your way though? I could just walk.”
Aya shook her head, “I wouldn’t let you walk now that I have a car.”
~*~
Given her calm nature, one would think that the teacher would make for a good driver but that idea couldn’t be farther from the truth as she switched lanes faster than Misato did. Until today, he even refused to entertain the thought that it could possibly be someone who drove crazier than his guardian but the black haired beauty beside him was all the proof he needed to verify that person did exist.
Aya took some more years off his life when she suddenly tapped the break pedal just enough to slow her speed so she could execute a turn that would make anyone who ever raced feel jealous.
“A-Aya! That light means yield though!” Shinji cried before she pushed the pedal down to the floor mat.
The small black car sped under the light seconds before it flashed a different color. Changing gears like a professional, the woman steered the car like she was in a street race. With the evening sun as the backdrop to their drive, the car that nearly resembled the one his guardian owned went towards the apartment complex like a bullet.
“You remember when…” She sharply turned the steering wheel and caused the wheels to screech against the road, “I used to let you in my father’s car?”
The green eyed woman smiled as she switched lanes again to get past a slow driver, “It was after I started to learn how to drive. My father didn’t want me to take the car far from the house so we used to go to the old railroad tracks.”
Another flashback…
Her hand gripped the headrest after she pulled the keys out of the ignition and squeezed in-between the seats in order to get to the back of the car. It was hot thanks broken air conditioner but also because their bodies rubbed together. The passing train made it hard to hear what she said and that was good considering they weren’t there to talk…
Shinji, with her driving overshadowed by his present thoughts, looked out the window, “I… remember I think.”
“That’s good,” Aya eased her foot on the break as the apartments came into sight, “You’re starting to remember things quicker.”
“I still feel bad about forgetting in the first place…” The pilot openly admitted before she put the car into park.
“Don’t worry about that right now Shinji,” Her words eased him but her voice still held that slight sense of disappointment that made him feel so guilty. She softly touched the side of his face with her fingertips, “I don’t mind you staying with me but…”
A grin started to form on her face as she lowered her hand, “Shouldn’t you be getting to the apartment before your roommate starts getting curious?”
He nodded, “Y-Yea… Thanks for the ride Aya.”
“You don’t have to thank me for things like this.” She paused for a moment as he exited her car, “Shinji, I know it’s sudden but do you mind if we do something tomorrow?”
Bending over to look back inside the car, her student managed a small smile of his own. He didn’t have anything planned tomorrow and there weren’t any sync tests until next week, “Sure, what do you want to do?”
“Visit you here.”
She was obviously prying into his life and both of them knew that from the beginning. It wasn’t a question of if she was prying anymore but how far she was going to take it until he finally said no to her.
Aya calmly eyed him as he thought about it. According to her prediction, he would fold given the way he was feeling earlier but he could just as easily surprise her with a refusal if he was too scared to be seen with her. When he turned away from her she decided she had to apply just the right amount of pressure to help him decide, “You can say no if you want to.”
“Okay, I’ll have to tell Misato though.”
He gave in.
Aya wanted to ask about Misato but she could save that for tomorrow now that he agreed, “Thank you Shinji…” She almost sighed in relief, nearly believing that he was about to refuse.
The small smile he had before returned to his face, “You don’t have to thank me for things like this.”
“You’re becoming more comfortable around me already?” The satisfied expression she had perfectly matched her thoughts, “Maybe I should kiss you again then.”
The blush conquered his entire face, “I’ll… I’ll see you later.” He said so quickly that it sounded like a mumbled word instead of a complete statement.
Aya quietly watched him walk away as she waved him off. After got on the elevator, she reclined in her seat with a light smile spread across her face. This was the best thing that happened to her in a long time.
She pulled her glasses off and idly played with them as she thought.
It took four years. It took four whole years to see him again but that was wonderful when she recalled that she once thought she would never see him again. How much time passed didn’t matter though, the chance to be with him again presented itself again and she pounced on it. This time, she wouldn’t leave him and he wouldn’t be able to forget about her.
If she had gave up in becoming a teacher she would have missed this opportunity…
She sat back up and started the car again, “Thank God I found you…” She muttered gratefully before she pulled off.
~*~
Striking beautiful was the only way to describe it and even that didn’t do justice to the way she looked. Aya looked like a completely different person as she stepped out of her car.
While the outfit she wore yesterday made her look exactly like the teacher she was, the small pink tee shirt and denim skirt almost made him forget that she was his teacher altogether. Unlike the sleeveless button up shirt she wore yesterday, the tight shirt she wore today showed how well endowed she was and the skirt showed off her smooth, firm legs as she walked towards him.
As she neared, he noticed that she not only abandoned her clip in favor of a pink ribbon to hold her silky black hair up but that she also forgot to bring her glasses.
Aya laughed at the expression on his face, “Hmm, I look like I’m about your age now Shinji.”
“You’re only nineteen though… You are already around my age.” Shinji pointed as his company got closer to him.
Her laughter gave way to a soft smile when she stopped in front of him, “I didn’t think you would remember my birthday either… We’ll have to do something together when it comes.”
Shinji slowly nodded, “I… I won’t have anything to give you.”
Aya took his hand and held it in hers as she started to walk towards the elevator, “It’s the thought that counts Shinji.” She eagerly said flashing him another smile in the process.
It wasn’t long before they were on their way to the apartment he shared with his coworkers. A humming ding came from the elevator every time they passed a floor but neither of the occupants paid much attention to it. One nervously snuck glances at their joined hands while the other simply watched him with amusement through her sparkling jade eyes.
“You used to be so short but now I’m only a few inches taller.” Aya said as she looked him up and down, “That’s perfectly fine though since it’ll be easier to kiss you.”
Her companion already felt his face starting to color and, luckily for him, the elevator doors opened before she could press the issue any further. Leading the way even though she didn’t know the apartment number, Aya proudly walked forward with her head held high. Besides getting a job, she didn’t change at all.
She always found ways to amaze him.
One day, she would be reserved and diligent and, the next, she would seem so carefree that he envied her. She was intelligent and beautiful that, even if she explained in detail why she liked him, he still didn’t understand why she loved him out of all people…
“Shinji?”
The boy in question blinked as his thoughts drifted to the back of his mind, “Yes?”
Aya’s amused expression was gone. The bright joy that one could virtually see written across her face was replaced with a calm look that matched the serious stare in her eyes, “I’m not going to keep it a secret.”
“Huh…?”
He fell victim to the look in her eyes. They were normally shining with the happiness he associated with her but, now, the determination behind those green orbs trapped him, “I won’t keep my feelings a secret. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable but I’m here as the person who loves you... “
“Right now I’m not your teacher… I’m not just some old friend,” Aya squeezed his hand.
“I’m n-not a molester… I’m your girlfriend.” She continued with obvious difficulty, spitting out the words as they brought up memories she didn’t want to remember.
Those words…
She said them to him before.
In remarkable clarity, it came to him. It was when her parents were yelling at her while he hid behind his teacher because her parents scared him. Enduring the insults without even flinching, Aya looked him directly in the eye and smiled despite her enraged parents threatening to throw her out the house.
Ignoring her mother’s words and brushing off her father’s hand, she walked in his direction and said those exact words before she turned on her heel and left with her parents tailing her.
And yesterday was the first time he saw her since the incident…
“Okay?”
Shinji couldn’t look away from her eyes. The dark green depths looked at him with questions he had no answers for. How could he refuse her when she asked like that?
He nodded as he motioned to unlock the door, “Be careful about how you tell them. I don’t know what Asuka will do but, if Misato doesn’t like it, she’ll tell my father…”
Aya stopped him by wrapping her arms around his frame. The crisp apple scent that reminded him of the days he spent with his teacher clung to her like a memory he couldn’t let go.
From behind, she hugged him and, although it caught him off guard, so familiar the scent that he relaxed in her embrace before he even knew what was happening.
“I know I’m pushing it but just be patient with me okay...?”
Be patient with her…?
The way she stared at him with those eyes guaranteed he would be more than patient with her if she wanted him to. Normally, Shinji was a dense person so he found no fault when people accused of him of such but, at this exact moment, he picked up on things about Aya that the casual observer wouldn’t notice.
When she was nervous, she didn’t shiver or anything like that. He could always tell when something was bothering her when she suddenly got serious. It was different than the slow transition from her usual teasing humor to the collected tranquility she commonly wrapped around herself.
Like someone pressed a switch, she would just suddenly seem so… sad. That’s why he used to ask her what was wrong. He wanted to talk to her because she wanted to talk to him. He wanted to help her because she helped him.
He wanted to love her because she loved him…
“Aya, are you… okay?”
It was more of a formality than anything else. He knew exactly what was troubling her. No matter how much she refused to hide how she felt that didn’t mean that other people’s views didn’t bother her.
As she slowly released him, Shinji briefly glanced over his shoulder at her downcast expression before it gradually turned into a soft smile, “I’m alright.” She whispered as he returned his attention to the door.
Shinji successfully opened the door and held it open for her. Barely containing a laugh at his display of chivalry, his teacher passed by him and walked into the apartment.
“So idiot? Who do you have coming over anyway?” Asuka pressed a button and changed the channel on the television, “One of the stooges or… maybe wondergirl?” She said dryly, her curiosity forcing her up when he didn’t respond.
In the calm before the storm, Shinji braced himself as the sound of his roommate’s footsteps reached his ears.
Asuka’s bright sky blue eyes landed directly on him when she peeked at the doorway. Feeling slightly uncomfortable because he already knew that she was about to find out who his guest was, Shinji shifted his weight as he watched his roommate focus on the woman he let into the apartment.
“Who are you?” The Second Child was completely surprised but that didn’t stop her brain from going to work since the face seemed so familiar, “Wait… Ms. Miyoji?”
It was a guess at the most. Asuka herself never really took a good look at the woman despite the fact that a good number of girls in the class didn’t favor the attention she was getting from the boys. As a matter of fact, the only thing she could remember in detail about the woman was her striking green eyes and that was the main reason she even said the name.
A nod from the lady in question told her that the educated guess was correct but it only served to turn Asuka’s curiosity into confusion. Was she really his guest? Why did she come over here? Why was she dressed like that?
Not one to hold back her thoughts, Asuka stepped into the hall dressed just as casually as her teacher. The white tee shirt she had on hung loosely around her thanks to the fact that it was a few sizes bigger than she would like and the dark blue jeans she wore, Shinji supposed, had to at least a size smaller than her actual size, “Why are you here?”
“I’m his guest.”
Asuka nodded, “Well, I see that but why are you here? I mean did he get in trouble or something?”
The teacher shook her head, “He’s not in trouble. I came because I wanted to see him. I wanted to know where he lived and the people he lived with…”
Asuka finally came to last of her questions, “Why?”
Shinji started to feel nervous as Aya stepped forward and looked at his roommate. He knew she was going to tell Asuka about their relationship and he couldn’t do anything to stop her even if he wanted to. Still, he felt uneasy about it…
“Because I’m…” Aya tensely looked back at Shinji when she felt his eyes lingering on her and asking if she was really going to do it. Pausing to take a deep breath, the green eyed woman looked her in the eye, “I’m his girlfriend.”
Conversation ended and movements ceased.
The pilot of Unit 02 didn’t say anything. So unbelievable that Shinji had a girlfriend that she was left speechless by finding out that he actually did. Thinking rationally, it was impossible. Not only was Shinji one who could barely maintain a social relationship, much less one on that level, but they only met yesterday and she was their teacher…
Her puzzled voice moved in the still air that resulted from Aya’s announcement, “But you only met yesterday…”
Shinji shook his head, “We-“
“Shinji!” His guardian yelled from her room, extending his name until she decided to take another sip of beer, “Can you make dinner now that your guest is here? I have to go back to NERV in a while and I’m hungry.”
“S-Sure Misato!” He called back to Misato, finding his escape thanks to her.
As her boyfriend made his way to the kitchen, Aya was left alone with one of her students. Even though she didn’t seem to like Shinji, she wasn’t taking any chances seeing that she lived with him, “Does it bother you that we are together?”
“Of course not!” Asuka quickly declared, “It’s not like I’m his girlfriend or anything.” She stated without even a hint of envy or jealously behind her words before she started to return back to the couch to watch television.
With one down, Aya started to think about the mystery that was Misato but she pushed that thought aside as she decided to join Shinji in the kitchen. Her eyes fell on the sight of Shinji opening some instant food before he noticed her presence, “Do you want me to help?”
“You don’t have to.” He said slowly as he examined the directions printed on the side.
The easily amused woman cracked a smile and shook her head as she stepped closer to him, “I want to.”
She read the directions over his shoulder, “I didn’t know you liked instant curry.”
“It’s for Misato. I really don’t like it as much as she does,” Shinji opened it as he spoke, “I’m… sorry I couldn’t get anything better to make for you.”
“I’m not here for the food Shinji,” Aya whispered before she motioned to get him the saucepan, “Besides, I’ll like anything you cook since I’m the one who taught you how in the first place.”
He looked up at her, “You… You did?”
With a smile plastered across her face, she nodded as she placed the pan on the stove for him, “I told you I made you into person you are now.”
It wasn’t shocking considering that she was the person who knew him the best despite the fact that they haven’t seen or even spoke to each other for years. In a way, it was pitiful. If someone else had to make him into who he was now then what would he have been without her?
Did he really depend on her that much? If that was the case, how did he manage when she left? All he could remember after she left was that he simply lived… He didn’t really talk to anyone or do anything. He just existed until his father called.
“Who is Misato?”
“Huh?” Shinji blinked and turned towards Aya.
“The older woman,” His girlfriend turned on the stove for him, “Who is she to you?”
“Oh, Misato is our guardian and she’s the person who gives-“
“Wow!” The raven haired woman exclaimed nearly causing her charge to have a heart attack, “I thought you meant one of your friends when you asked could you have a guest over. I didn’t know you would invite a girl over.”
The pilot recovered from his shock and poured the curry over the rice, “I-“
The major sighed, “If I knew it was a date I would have made you dress up Shinji.”
Neither one of them coughed out a denial which caused Misato to raise an eyebrow. Deciding that the questions would be better asked over dinner she took a seat at the table, “Shinji, could you give me a beer?”
“I’ll get it for you.” Aya voiced before Shinji could motion to get it.
“Thanks. They’re in the refrigerator.” Misato cautiously eyed her as she pulled out a can, “So… who are you if you don’t mind me asking?”
They looked each other in the eye as she sat the beer in front of her, “My name is Aya Miyoji. I’m his girlfriend.”
His guardian’s eyes narrowed slightly before she pulled the tab off the can, “Is that right?”
Even though he was glad that she was taking it well, Shinji didn’t at all like the way they looked at each other. From opposite sides of the table, the women stared at each other like they were waiting on the other to say something.
Misato took a few gulps of her favorite beer and placed the can back on the table. Hearing that Shinji had a girlfriend was news to her and, in light of the fact, she could afford to be a bit late since finding out that she had a relationship with her charge was more important than some paperwork.
Aya couldn’t explain it but it was something about Misato that made her feel edgy. Instead of sitting at a kitchen table while her boyfriend fixed dinner, it felt like she was sitting at a lone table while under interrogation. The brown eyes that belonged to Misato were transfixed on her and it felt like she was making a list of questions to ask her.
“How old are you?”
She was right in guessing that the questioning was about to begin.
“Nineteen.”
The major sipped her beer, “Shinji’s fourteen you know.”
“So? I know-“
“Don’t you think you’re a bit too old for him?” Misato cut her off with another question, “I don’t know his type but-“
“I’m not too old for him and I do.” Aya stated, interrupting the older woman in the process.
“I don’t know about that.” She shrugged before looking over his girlfriend’s shoulder, “Is the food ready Shinji?”
“Y-Yea,” He said quickly, caught off guard by the sudden mention of his name. He pulled out some plates and piled the curry on top of it them before he handed one to his guardian and one to his girlfriend.
He moved away from the table to get more plates but Misato stopped him, “Take a seat.”
Complying before she repeated herself, Shinji pulled back a chair and sat in it as she looked at him and Aya, “So how long have you two been together?”
It was a difficult question to answer… Technically, they’re only been together for two days but they knew each other for at least seven years. Aya picked up the chopsticks, “Six years.”
Misato nodded, “That’s surprising. I haven’t heard of you until now. As a matter of fact, I don’t even recall seeing you in any reports.”
“I’ve been gone for four years… I caught up with him yesterday.”
“No wonder then,” The purple haired woman finished her beer, “Gone four years and just show up yesterday… How did that make you feel Shinji?”
He felt like he was going to melt when he felt their eyes burning into him, “Um… It made me feel strange.” He openly admitted under the wary eyes of his guardian.
“So did she talk you into it or,” Misato pulled her plate towards her, “Did she manipulate you?”
Aya narrowed her eyes and was about to speak but Shinji beat her to it, “It’s not like that Misato…”
Relieved, his girlfriend rested her back against the chair as she started to eat. She should have expected these kinds of questions thanks to the fact that the woman was not only his guardian but also his superior officer. She was only doing her job in asking but Aya still felt it was something more than her duty behind those questions…
“Oh well, you two enjoy yourselves,” Misato stood with the plate in hand, “I’m leaving now Shinji.”
“Misato, you said you weren’t going to take anymore dishes. You lost or broke some of the others already…”
His guardian waved him off as she moved to the door, “Come on Shinji! I’m the one who brought them so I don’t try to break them on purpose. I’ll bring the plate back this time.”
As the older woman made her way out of the apartment, Shinji turned to Aya who continued to eat, “I’m sorry about that… She was just trying to get to know-“
The sound of a plate breaking interrupted him and he sighed, “Misato…”
“You don’t have to apologize,” Aya looked up at him, “I should have expected that much…”
Shinji got up and pushed his chair back under the table, “I’ll be back. I have to go clean that up.”
“Wait,” Aya pushed her plate aside, “Do you want to go somewhere with me after you eat?”
“I’m not really hungry and Asuka eats later so I won’t mind going with you.”
She smiled as she slid her chair back and got up, “I’ll help you clean up then so we can go.”

“I think it’s over there…” Shinji said as he pointed to the left.
Aya suddenly twisted the steering wheel and caused to car to lean on two wheels until the other two landed back on the road. Thankfully, Shinji knew the value of a seat beat and decided to put it on before she started driving.
The car came to an abrupt halt on the side of the road, “This is the place you were talking about Shinji?”
“Yea, this is the place were Misato took me to show me city once…”
Both of them exited the car and walked to the guardrails to take in the beautiful view that overlooked the city. In the night, the fortified buildings seemed to glow under the moonlight provided by the full moon.
“It’s beautiful Shinji…” Aya smiled as she leaned on the rail, “This is the city you pilot to protect huh?”
He nodded as he looked over the city named Tokyo-3, “It’s not so much the city but the people.”
She laughed, “If you’re protecting the people then you protecting the city at the same time.”
“Yea…”
With that, they simply continued to look down at the city. From here she could see the school and she could even see the apartment complex she lived in for the time being, “Hey Shinji…”
He turned to his girlfriend as she moved closer to him. She reached for and grasped his hand, “I know it sounds strange but I’m not manipulating you…”
Shinji nodded as Aya stood beside him holding his hand, “Misato didn’t mean it. She was messing with you.”
Suddenly, she softly released his hand and looked at the bright lights of the city, “Every time I tell myself I’m not a molester or that I’m not manipulating you… it feels like I’m lying to myself.”
“Aya… You know it’s not-“
“I raped you Shinji.” She confessed with her back facing him.
“You… What?”
“I raped you,” Aya repeated, her eyes looking over various places below despite the fact that her mind was on something completely different than the layout of the city, “The reason why you blocked out the memories, the reason why you are scared to say no to me, the reason why you can’t look me in the eye for real… it’s all because of what I did to you.”
“I knew all along I was masking my real intentions by saying things like I loved you… It took me all those years to realize that,” She continued, knowing fully well she had his attention, “I wanted to find you and make up for what I did and, when I found out that you left, I… I gave up on you Shinji. I moved on with my life knowing that I did those things to you and I didn’t even bother to think that much about it until I saw you in my class.”
Shinji looked at the ground, “That’s-“
“No, it’s not okay… it’s not even right.” She didn’t have to turn around to know that he was going to try and make her feel better, “I knew that saying sorry wouldn’t be enough but, the moment I saw you in class, I knew that it was nothing I could do to fix things… I still wanted to pry into your life though. I wanted to see how you got on without me.”
“Aya…”
She turned around and he suddenly realized that the smile he found so familiar was always so sad, “That’s the truth Shinji… I’m glad I could be your girlfriend for a day though…”
“What do you mean?” Shinji asked as she looked at him with her jade eyes.
“What do you want me to mean?” She replied, answering a question with a question.
“Aya, it doesn’t matter,” He looked her in the eye, “That… That is in the past now. It never bothered me.”
“It should.”
“It doesn’t.”
His teacher slowly shook her head after he replied, “Yesterday, you asked me why I cared. It’s because you’re vulnerable but, at the same time, you’re not. Do you remember the last time I… the last time I had sex you with you?”
He shook his head so fast that, any other time, she would have been amused, “I abusing you and, when you noticed I was crying, you asked me what was wrong like you were taking care of me. I… I hated myself Shinji and I still do. You were the only person who listened to me and I raped you every chance I got…”
Aya turned away from him again, “Every chance I got…” She repeated, her tone as hollow as the smile on her face.
“I don’t hate you at all…”
“What?”
“I don’t remember everything but I know I liked being around you and,” He blushed, “I like when you kiss me. I don’t really remember the… sex but I don’t blame you for anything at all. No matter what you do, you are the most important person to me because I love you.” He admitted easily, finding it wasn’t hard to say it when he really meant it.
“Don’t forgive me like that!” Aya cried, her guilt reaching its zenith, “Do you understand what I did to you!?”
Shinji nodded, “Yea, but it doesn’t matter to me now.”
“It matters to me!”
“Why?”
Shinji was the only person she ever cried in front of and it was a fact made all the more obvious when the tears started to come down her face, “Because I hurt you Shinji!”
“I’m not hurt Aya… I’m glad you made me remember you.”
She all but fell into him, “Don’t be so kind to me.” She sobbed out as he held her.
Carefully taking him time to make sure he kept his balance, Shinji made his way to the car which wasn’t far away and opened the door. Being extremely cautious, he pulled her into the back seat with him and reached over her to close the door.
Although he didn’t know what to do at the moment, he knew fully well that the girl staining his shirt with her tears was neither a molester nor rapist, “It’s okay…” He calmly said as she cried.
“I’m sorry!” She clung to him, her arms wrapping around his frame as the tears continued to roll down her face, “I swear I’m sorry!”
As he rubbed her back, another memory came to mind…
Aya was crying when she kissed him and the salty taste of her tears mingled with the fresh mint of her mouthwash. The passing train blocked out the sounds but he could still read her lips.
“I’m sorry…” She mouthed before pressing her lips against his neck.
“There’s nothing to be sorry about…” Shinji stated as his mind returned the present.
Eventually, her cries died down and they were surrounded by a peaceful silence as they rested with their arms around each other. It wasn’t long before she released him and took a seat beside him, “I-“
Shinji looked at her as she rubbed her eyes, “I know you didn’t mean to hurt me or anything.”
“No,” Aya placed her hands in her lap, “It’s just you’re the only person who sees me like this. I mean, I did those things to you but you still hold me when I need you the most…”
A small laugh came from her companion and her half opened eyes snapped open when the sound reached her ears, “Shinji…?”
He smiled, the sad look in his eyes replaced with the amusement she commonly had in hers, “You’re not listening to me. It honestly doesn’t bother me at all so it shouldn’t bother you either.”
No…
This had to be a misconception. She sexually abused him for who knows how long, disappears for four years, forced herself back into his life, and he didn’t think anything was wrong in the least. All the while, she somehow managed to live despite the guilt she carried with her and he was forgiving her like she only bumped into him by accident.
She had her way with him… Of course she wanted him to feel good too but that didn’t change the fact that she forced herself on him. What if her parents never asked? What if she found him there still waiting on her?
“Aya?”
His girlfriend turned to him, “What is-“
He kissed her.
The back seat of a car wasn’t exactly the best place to do it thanks to the small amount of space but it provided more than enough room for him to move closer to her. He brought his hand on top of hers as he advanced on her.
Shinji clumsily put his lips to hers and she opened her mouth as her back pressed into the seat. His tongue swirled around in her mouth and slid across her tongue before he tangled his hand in her hair.
Purely by mistake, her ribbon became undone but neither took notice of the pink strip of satin as her beautiful hair dropped to her shoulders.
This was more than a kiss Aya noted as she raised her hand to his face. More than just simple acceptance or light-hearted affection, this was the way he felt about her displayed in a way that couldn’t be put into words.
With that, her tongue playfully dueled with his as the kiss deepened. The hand that was once in her hair sailed down her to her neck and Aya broke the kiss with a small giggle, “That tickles you know.” She said, the bright smile that belonged on her face returning thanks to his kiss.
He really didn’t care about it. The confession she held inside for so long didn’t bother him or even change his mood. Right now, he was smiling and she was willing to accept he was happy with her even though what she did wasn’t right.
“I want you to touch me some more when we kiss okay?” Aya moved closer to him as she spoke, “Don’t be scared of me. I’ll let you do whatever you want this time…”
Suddenly, he became more aware of her short skirt and tight shirt and he gulped, “O-Okay.”
Shinji’s eyes almost doubled in size as she pulled off her tee shirt and threw it into the driver’s seat, “This is much better…”
The radiant rays of moonlight that fell on her beautiful features mixed with the inky darkness that rested inside the car. In a way, it disappointed him that he couldn’t see her completely but the nostalgia alone was enough to make up for that.
Taking her time, Aya’s slender arms reached for his shirt and started to unbutton his school shirt. Without even so much as a slight frown to mark the fact that it reminded her that she was indeed his teacher, the way he finished buttoning his shirt for her made it no more than a passing thought.
Left in his tee shirt, the pilot looked the woman in the eye only to find that there wasn’t any sadness or even glee in them. The look in her eyes told him how serious she was about this despite the way she giggled earlier.
This time she showed him how she kissed...
The soft way she previously applied her lips to his was no more than a distant memory when she gripped his shoulder and pressed his lips against his. It wasn’t at all gentle. Like it was made from the jagged edges that made up her feelings, her kiss was rough but so sexy…
With such intensity that his back was forced into the door, she kissed him like it was the last thing she would ever do. Surprised by her, Shinji kept his eyes open as her tongue almost savagely lashed around in his mouth.
Her jade eyes stared directly back at him, reminding him to do what she said.
Different from the kiss, his hands slowly crept down the outline of her body like they was tracing her figure. She trembled when his hand brushed across her skirt and, again remembering what she said, he bravely caressed her thigh.
He watched her eyes close and he could feel her moan into the kiss as he rubbed her thigh, his hand unconsciously moving higher and higher till he touched a place that caused her to stop kissing him, “Right there… Keep doing that.” She whispered, her hair concealing her beautiful green eyes as she pulled up her skirt for him.
For some reason, he knew that she liked being touched right there on her inner thighs and if he kept rubbing just a while longer…
She raised her head to kiss him and, unlike the one before, it was light. Still rubbing that one spot on her leg while his other hand slid up and down her uncovered side, Shinji picked up something that only served to make the situation even more familiar.
It was hot…
Their bodies were so close that he could see the thin sheet of sweat gleaming on her body. Every spent breath felt so cool when it danced across his face. The way his fingers edged closer and closer to the place where she really wanted them to be.
All of that combined with the fact that the air conditioner was broke blended together to justify why it was so hot but he knew the prime reason for the car’s sudden rise in temperature was thanks completely to the girl who had her tongue inside his mouth.
Apparently, Aya didn’t think it was hot enough until she broke the kiss and unzipped his pants. Knowing that he wouldn’t protest, her hand was in his boxers before he even knew that his pants were unbuttoned.
She smiled seeing that he was already aroused, “I’m going to make you feel good…” Aya whispered, her hand slowly going up and down his length as she spoke.
The black-haired woman pulled back his boxers and exposed his stiff dick which proudly stood erect because of her. Determined, she looked up at Shinji for his approval but his eyes were already tightly closed in anticipation of what was about to happen and she was perfectly willing to give it to him.
A quick, teasing lick caused a jolt of pleasure to shot through his body before she brought his tip member into her mouth. She firmly held his dick as she sucked causing deep, lustful moans to from his throat.
Thankfully, she was no where near finished.
Removing her hand so she could have greater access, her lips sealed around his shaft as her mouth moved up and down… leaving thick globs of saliva as she worked. It felt so good that he couldn’t stop himself from crying out her name as her head bobbed up and down, her pace picking up as she put her hand back on his dick.
Already knowing how he liked it, she made as much noise as she could. From the low slurping that came from sucking to the smacking sound of her lips going up and down his penis, she made all of it as loud as possible.
“A-Aya!” Shinji cried, the feeling of his orgasm approaching to fast to hold it back.
She brought her mouth back to the tip of his dick, formed a tight seal with her lips, and sucked on it like it was a piece of her favorite candy. Feeling the familiar twitching, she removed her lips and allowed the thick, white semen to be shot on her face.
His ecstasy dying down, he motioned to speak but she silenced him with a finger which she used to bring the semen that she couldn’t lick to her mouth, “I missed that too…” She softly whispered, her voice rich with lust as she swallowed.
Her bra fell into her lap as she took it off and Shinji, already knowing what she wanted, pulled of his tee shirt. Aya advanced on him again, her breasts pressing into his chest as she licked his chin causing the small hairs on the back of his neck to stand up.
The small kisses she placed on his jaw and the feel of her nipples rubbing against his chest was more than enough to make him become aroused again but it was the fingers that pressed into the satin of her panties that made Aya become more than just aroused… She wanted him inside of her and his probing fingers were at the right place at the right time. They didn’t push the fabric barrier aside like she wanted though. Shinji’s finger just pressed into her panties and she could feel the satin brushing against her sex as his finger slid between her lips.
It felt wonderful but he was being too shy about it…
Quick breaking away from him as she fought the urge to just satisfy herself, her bare back met with the car door opposite Shinji. Aya slightly raised herself off the seat before placing her thumbs in the waistband of her panties and slipped them off.
The woman hiked her skirt up for him and, for the first time, he could clearly see her body as she bathed in the moonlight. Her soft, sour apple scented hair that was normally neatly held up was now pooled behind her head as she watched him move closer to her. Briefly, they had eye contact but it wasn’t maintained when his eyes moved down to her breasts. They looked so full and ripe that he wanted to squeeze them… lick them even but he could tell by the look in her eyes that she wanted the same thing he did.
With his pants and boxers almost at his knees, Shinji managed to position himself between her legs and, with her hand guiding him, he plunged his dick into her pussy. The wet sound of his manhood ramming into her wasn’t lost as Aya moaned, resting her head on the seat before he slowly slid out to give her more of what she wanted.
If she was ever thankful for anything in her entire life, Aya thanked God that he remembered exactly how she liked it.
Raw and hard... So rough that it made her forget about everything else. She wanted him to handle her. She wanted him to push her down and just have his way with her. Alas, it was easy to tell that Shinji wouldn’t be that rough with her but the way he was doing it was fine…
She didn’t know when it happened but his arms were wrapped around her as they fucked. Almost like a dog, he was pounding into her without pausing between thrusts and she was absolutely loving it.
It was peferectly fine… but she wanted it to be perfect.
“H-Harder…” Aya panted out as he continued to ram his dick into her, “Harder!”
The hammer he was putting on her turned into a jackhammer. Like a car accident, his length crashed into her pussy and she took it like it was nothing. She could feel the car moving as they fucked but she didn’t give a damn about anything else except him right now.
“Harder… please…” She cried, putting her arms around him as he pounded into her as hard as he could. At this rate, she was going to be sore but that was nothing compared to the way she was feeling now.
This feeling that she used to take for granted… The euphoria that only made her think of them being together seemed to wrapped around her, making her feel hotter but also more at ease. For years, she took this from him…
The way he slammed into her made her breast bounce sharply but he didn’t dare stop, not even as he felt that he was reaching his peak.
Now, she was sharing it with him and that itself washed away the self resentment she previously felt. Aya climaxed and she smiled softly as she could feel the hot semen he left inside her.
With a content sign, she looked through her dark strands of hair at Shinji as he started to get off of her. Quickly, she pulled him back down but not with enough force to hurt him as she trapped him with her arms, “I care about you more than anything else... I swear I love you Shinji.”
“I know...” Shinji replied, noticing the sour apple scent of his girlfriend was clinging to him as well. The guilt that made her search for him? The things that she did a long time ago? He didn’t care about the past because they were living solely in the present. He was glad that he met her again. He was glad that she made him remember.
He was glad that he was with her right now…
“I meant it…” Aya whispered, her voice retaining its usual serene tone as she spoke.
“Meant what?”
She looked out the window at the night sky, “I’m not ashamed of you Shinji. I’ll tell everyone we’re together. I’ll kiss you in public… if you want me to.”
Shinji shook his head from side to side, “Aya, if the school finds-“
“I don’t care if I’m fired,” She paused and kissed him on the cheek, “I’d tell the whole class… no, the whole world that you’re my boyfriend.”
“I don’t want you to get fired,” Shinji looked into the dark green depths of her eyes, “I don’t want you to leave again.”
Even if he was slightly unnerved and flattered by her declaration, Shinji knew that he didn’t want her to have to transfer to another school or, possibly, be out of work because of their relationship. If she was he wouldn’t have any problem with giving her his pay but he knew that she was the type of person that had to work.
By reflex she held him closer when he started to talk like that, “I’m not going anywhere…” She immediately eased him with her words.
The years she spent without him weren’t terrible but that didn’t mean they were enjoyable. Like Shinji, she just existing until she met him again and she felt more alive in two days than she had in four years.
Smiling as she realized that it would indeed be more days like this, Aya said something she knew she didn’t have to say seeing that her boyfriend was already content with her previous statement.
“I’m never going to leave you again.”

Author’s Notes: Teacher is out of the way.
Aya’s chapter is so long mainly because I like establishing my ACC’s and also because I wrote it pretty fast (Quicker than Satsuki’s chapter which only took about four or five days). Again, like the previous chapter, this was supposed to be uploaded with another chapter to accompany it but I think Aya is a strong enough character to post alone.
Another thing is that I don’t take rape or molestation lightly. I hope I didn’t offend anyone with how I handled the subject this time around. Also, Aya’s age might be odd for a teacher but considering the number of people who died, it wouldn’t be all that out there.
Progress on the other chapters is alright thanks to the summer. I’m going to take a nap now and fix any super bad mistakes I missed later.
Like always, many thanks for reading and many many thanks for reviewing. ^_^
Work
The classroom was simply the place made to ensure that the learning environment be of the same quality of the learning experience.
