Shigure thought about announcing himself, but the sound of soft cries told him that Rin was definitely home. Was she crying? Rin didn’t really seem to like anyone, so why would Yuki’s death make her sad? At any rate he thought it would be best to tell her about the memorial they were having for the rat. Shigure walked towards the sound and froze at the door. Apparently she wasn’t crying. Granted, he couldn’t see much of her, but the backside of his other cousin moving above her writhing body told him what they were up to. Rin cried out loader as Haru leaned down and bit her neck. The ox sat back bringing the horse up with him. He sat on his feet still driving into her body. The girl got loader as she bounced above the white haired boy. Shigure scented the air. Although he wasn’t the dog anymore, his good hearing and sense of smell remained. And the scent of sex was growing. At this rate the pair of teens were close to completion. The dog snuck out and gathered his shoes.
He hummed merrily to himself as he headed back to Hatori’s office.
“Shigure,” Akito spoke from behind him, “You seem to be in high spirits. Have you not heard about Yuki?”
The dog turned to him, “Yes, I know what happened. That’s why I’m here.”
“Why hum? Something made you happy.” Akito looked at though he was trying to sniff out a lie.
“I’m just remembering a joke. Did you by chance feel that last night?” Shigure changed the subject.
“Yes, I felt it. I assume you know what happened?”
“Yuki freed us from the curse.” The dog said after a moment of hesitance. Akito’s face showed no sign of the shock he felt. The curse, the bane of his existence, was gone.
“I see.” The former curse bearer said as he turned to leave.

Kyo and Tohru sat next to each other in Hatori’s office holding hands. Ayame sat across from them reading a book. His eyes still looked a little glassy. Shigure came back in, in spite of everything, appearing distraught. He sat next to Ayame, placing his hand on top of the snakes.
“Are you doing better?” He asked softly.
“Not really.” The white haired man responded in the most serious tone the dog had ever heard.
Hatori came back into the room and sat down. He was followed by Onwa who took the seat in the far corner.
“It has been decided that a memorial will be held for Yuki in two days. I’ve called the school and told them your all sick with impetigo so you aren’t to be at school until Thursday.”
“But I promised mom…” Tohru started.
“I think your mom will understand if you miss a few days.” Shigure leaned forward and patted her hand. “Besides, it would be best if you took it easy for a while.”
“Okay.” Tohru sighed. Kyo squeezed her hand lightly. When the riceball looked at him, the cat gave he a small reassuring smile. She smiled back. Haru and Rin came in still straightening their clothes.
“If you two would be on time you’d know about Yuki’s Memorial.” Kyo looked at them suspiciously.
“When is it?” Haru asked trying to put out of his mind what he and Rin had just done. It was pretty hazy anyway, but at the moment of climax he’d changed back with a mostly clothed but easily … accessible Rin on top of him.
“Two days.” Ayame said from behind his book.
“How long are we out of school?” The ox asked Hatori.
“Until Thursday.” The doctor answered.
Haru nodded, “will his body be on display?” this time Hatori nodded.
“I will be taking you home in an hour.” He tossed over his shoulder to the occupants of Shigure’s house hold as he walked into his personal office.
“Kyo,” Onwa motioned to the cat.
“You’ve forgiven Yuki, haven’t you?” the rat asked.
“What? Why?” The teen asked.
Onwa moved closer. Whispering he indicated toward Tohru. “You wouldn’t be able to hold her if you didn’t.” Kyo just stared at the girl who was sitting next to Ayame talking. Even though she smiled, tears welled in her eyes.
“Miss Honda is quite an extraordinary girl.” The rat said. Kyo blushed a little. Tohru looked over at him and smiled. This smile was different form the previous ones she’d given; it had a weight to it.
The rice ball walked over to him, “I want to go find Kisa. Do you know where she lives?”
“Um,” the cat started.
“She’s in the last house in this row. The blue one.” Shigure said.
“Thank you.” Tohru smiled at him. She made her way to the door with Kyo following.
Onwa caught his hand, “You should tell him at the wake that you forgive him. It would be good for you.” The cat nodded and followed Tohru out the door. She looked back at him with a placid expression.
“What were you and Ayame talking about anyway?” Kyo took her hand.
“We were talking about Yuki and some of our favorite things about him.” She smiled wistfully then looked up at the young man, “I know it’s not really important now but, do you still hate Yuki?”
Kyo thought about this for a moment, “No… not anymore. He made it so we’re all free. I can finally hold you too.” The cat blushed at the last part. Honestly, He’d been thinking about a lot more then just holding her. There had been a few nights when he woke up completely tense and rock hard. Just thinking about some of his dreams set his blood moving. “Kisa’s house is over here.” Kyo changed the subject.
“Oh, I think I see it.” Tohru followed his gaze.
The pair walked to Kisa’s house and pulled off their shoes.
“Kis-” Tohru was cut off by Kyo’s hand over her mouth.
The cat leaned down and whispered in her ear, “Now may not be the best time.” Kyo pointed to the two children sitting at the low table. Kisa was crying into Hiro’s shoulder. The ram held her whispering soft words of endearment.
“Why would Yuki do that?” the tiger gulped out between sobs.
“I don’t know. Maybe he was depressed.” Hiro said before he could stop himself. “I mean… we’ll never know. But it will be okay, you’ll see, after a while… it will be okay.”
“I know.” Kisa said and leaned up to look the lamb in the eye. Hiro reached for a napkin. He wiped the girl’s cheeks lightly.
Kyo removed his hand and nodded to Tohru.
The riceball spoke softly, “Kisa?” Hiro let the girl go. She took the napkin form him and wiped her nose.
“Did you hear about Yuki?” She sniffled.
Tohru nodded. “He lifted the curse.”
“How do you know?” Hiro asked.
“Well… because…” the girl blushed.
“Cause of this.” Kyo wrapped his arms around the riceball, his front to her back. If possible, Tohru blushed harder.
“I was just coming to make sure you’re okay.” Tohru said when Kyo finally let go.
“Hiro has been taking care of me.” The tiger nodded to the boy in question.
“I see.” Tohru smiled at the ram. “We need to be going. I’ll see you later.” The riceball hugged the younger girl. She and the cat left, leaving Hiro and the tiger. Hiro was surprised; Tohru wasn’t nearly as annoying as she used to be.
“Kisa, you know that if you need someone to complain to, I’m here.” Hiro poured two cups of tea.
“Yes, I know.” Kisa smiled at the ram.
