From Bad to Worse
Tohru burst into Akito’s old room in time to see Hatori collapse sideways. Hanajima’s face was actually showing emotion. Tohru ignored the cries of warning and ran straight through the pentagram, rubbing out some of the lines in the process. Thunder bolts started to strike at her body. Still Tohru moved to place her hand on Hatori’s back and managed to spit out blood and the words “Come back, you must come back. Ayame needs you please some back.
Saki moved as if to pull Tohru away but was stopped by the light which still crawled over Tohru’s body.
Hatori was beginning to get used to the blackness, If this is what death is like then I don’t mind being dead ha thought. His only regret was that he never said to Ayame ‘Goodbye’. He was sorry for causing his lover so much pain. He was brought out of these morbid thoughts by pain. A scene of a hand on his back, of hearing ‘please live’ over and over again. He sat up, which dislodged the hand. Pain came back in a rush that was worse than the time when Akito had damaged his eye. Taking note of his surroundings, he saw Saki lying across two of her chalk lines. Behind him was Tohru, purple lighting fading beneath her skin, a slight smile playing across her lips. Hearing a noise at the door, he saw a very untidy looking Ayame. Ayame’s usually straight eyeliner was smudged and he had twigs in his hair. The two men stared at each other and both collapsed. One out of total exhaustion and the other out of shock.
