Chapter 10 Trouble and The Flower Queen
Ash’s Pokémon 8/12

Ash’s POV
Things have changed a lot since the last battle. Some forces were sent out to help rebuild and defend zone 1. I offered to help but Bruno told me I should remain at the base so I respected his wishes. The news of the free admission to the training rooms caused a flood, nearly every room was booked up. There were those who were buying up eggs as well and took to raising them to get new Pokémon.
Not many knew of the battle of team rocket, but I did if it had Bruno on edge I knew this wasn’t over, I knew I had to get stronger. Not just my Pokémon but me to, we could have gone to some battles but, Snorlax, Golem, and Charmeleon were new they needed to be trained the right way before going into battle.
“Seems like you’re in need of some help, I think I can help.” Bruno came to me and offered his own personal training room. I jumped at the chance, these training rooms were state of the art. I brought everyone to the training room, and Chameleon still seemed to be very cold, he went out of his way to ignore me and disobey my orders. I set Arcanine up running on a Smart Treadmill, it helped boost their Spd and Atk power.

He was getting so strong, I’m very proud of him. He is a bit over protective but I find that to be really adorable.
Raichu was set up with the Floating Orbs a special training tool for electric types, these orbs float by using the electric power of a Pokémon, it helps boost their Sp. Atk and Atk power.

Raichu is really energetic, in more ways than one. He is doing an amazing job while training and has well earned my praise. He is very diligent and focused with his training.
Leafeon was set up with Mr Dodge and Counter, it was a giant cylinder like robot with a face that spat rubber balls at a Pokémon it has arms with targets for Pokémon to hit, this boosts Evasiveness, Accuracy, as well as Atk and Def.

Eevee had evolved to help us, Leafeon was an amazing addition to the team and really helped balance us, with everything that had happened we haven’t had any time to relax and have fun, but Leafeon understood and he wanted to help and grow even stronger.
Nidoking was placed in Mr Punchy, It was a robot that sent a flurry of punches against a Pokémon, it greatly boosts Def and Sp. Def and HP.

Nidoking has come along way and has really opened up to me. I don’t like rough training but Nidoking doesn’t want to be left behind he’s working so hard.
Haunter was running an obstacle course, walls would pop up and he had to pass through them or destroy them, this course was called Wall Runner, it helps boost Sp. Atk and Sp. Def.

Haunter was really playful, I had to promise him some playtime in order to get him training. With proper motivation he did a great job raising up his stats.
Snorlax was new to the group, I gave him a translator collar, and he gave me a big hug, he’s cuddly. I set him up with Bouncer, it’s a massive trampoline it raises a Pokémon’s speed and HP and can even teach them the move Bounce. He also took part in Hit Me, a punching bag device that helps train up a Pokémon’s Atk and Sp. Atk, it also helped them learn various punch moves.
Snorlax – Light Sleeper

Golem was fitted with a translator collar. He was happy and wanted to be a part of the team. He went on another obstacle course called Target Run, a Pokémon runs the course firing at targets, it helps boost both Accuracy and Speed and Atk power.

After their work out I gave them a rub down to help clean them off. Charmeleon however refused to train, and when I tried giving him the translator collar Charmeleon smacked the thing out of my hands with his tail. Arcanine jumped off his training tool and ran over to me, he shielded me from Charmeleon and growled at him.
End POV
Bruno watched how Chameleon was acting, and he was concerned. Snorlax and Golem had warmed up to Ash, just as quick as Nidoking did. It was worrying him, Sabrina had said she needed to come here and he had a gut feeling it was about Ash.
Sabrina arrived in a flash with her Alakazam, Kadabra, Mr. Mime, and Hypno, and there was an Abra riding on her shoulder. Everyone made way as she headed towards Bruno’s training room. “Sabrina it is good to see you.”
“Be silent, you already know why I am here, show me the boy.” She always made Bruno sweat, her clairvoyance was spot on, and her Pokémon were stronger than his, she could have become an Elite a long time ago but she is happy where she is.
Bruno took her to an observation room. They watched as Ash’s Pokémon trained again, Charmeleon was snoozing and ignoring them, Sabrina narrowed her eyes. “That Pokémon is dangerous.”
“What do you mean?”
“As you know when Team Rocket modifies Pokémon, some grow to crave Power and saving them becomes impossible, the safest thing is to put them down!” She was cold, but Bruno knew she had seen more in her life then he had.
“Is there no other way?”
“I have peered into his future, he will grow wild and do harm to all those around him.” Bruno became silent and Sabrina left the room with her Pokémon.
In the training room…
Ash’s Pokémon were taking a rest and enjoying some food Ash had bought them. They were chowing down after a tough work out, all of them except for Charmeleon who still hasn’t trained. Ash made him a plate of food and he came over to him, when Ash got close Charmeleon fired a Flamethrower at Ash, Ash dodged but dropped the plate of food and it got scorched.
“What is your problem!?” Arcanine roared, Charmeleon growled and snapped at him. He spoke in Pokémon language so Ash couldn’t understand. “Get over yourself, if you actually trained you could be stronger.” Charmeleon snapped at that and he fired a Flamethrower at Arcanine, which did nothing. Arcanine slammed into Charmeleon and knocked him down.
“Stop it both of you!!” Ash said, and Arcanine stood down, and Charmeleon huffed.
“This is not the end, he will not change.” Ash turned to see Sabrina and her Pokémon, with Bruno standing in the doorway, with a grim look on his face. “He must be put down! Alakazam, Kadabra!” The two Pokémon stepped up. “Psybeam!” They fired their attacks and hit Chameleon hard.
The fire type was knocked to the ground by the powerful attacks, he could barely get up. “Stop!” Ash stood up for Charmeleon. “I won’t let you hurt him, he’s my Pokémon!” He wasn’t gonna let them hurt the fire type.
“Out of the way you fool! Hypno use Psychic!” Ash was lifted up and thrown off to the side, Snorlax ran up and caught him.
Charmeleon saw Ash was trying to protect him, and he tried to get up. “Psybeam!” The two psychic types fired another attack and hit Charmeleon.
“I said stop!” Ash got in the way again, and this time his Pokémon stood with him, they wouldn’t let Sabrina hurt their master.
“Mr. Mime remove these fools.” It’s eyes glowed and Haunter appeared and shielded them from the psychic attack. “A ghost type!”
The Psychic types clashed against Ash’s Pokémon, Ash helped Charmeleon up and was gonna carry him out. Hypno put Raichu and Leafeon to sleep with Hypnosis, and Kadabra used Confusion on Nidoking and Snorlax and confused them making them attack each other. Mr. Mime used Psychic and knocked Golem out, Alakazam began to over power Arcanine and Haunter.
Sabrina saw Ash trying to leave with Charmeleon and she used her own psychic power to fling Ash away. “Gah!”
She had enough, she used her powers to force the Pokémon away and the Psychic types took the chance to overpower them. “Now Alakazam it’s time to finish this, Psycho Cut!”
Charmeleon thought it was over, but Ash dove in front of him and took the attack. The fire type froze as he watched Ash fall back, he was badly injured and he wasn’t moving…
He nudged Ash but he didn’t move. ‘Why? I was nothing but mean to you. Why would you protect me?’ He was crying. ‘I’m sorry, please wake up, smile at me, scold me, hit me just don’t be…’
Ash coughed, and he groaned in pain. ‘You’re alive!!’ He hugged Ash and began licking his cheek.
“Hey Chameleon, glad you’re okay. Hey hahaha quit it, I’m okay.” He said between Charmeleon’s licks.
Sabrina watched in awe at what happened. The future she previously saw for the fire type was changed, she saw him as a brilliant Charizard carrying Ash towards new horizons. “That’s enough everyone return.” They all returned to their balls, and Ash’s Pokémon ran over to him to make sure he was okay.
“That boy is an odd one.”
“Yes he is.” Bruno said, he called for Joy and she would be here soon.
“Nothing less from his son.”
“Sabrina!” Bruno said hastily. “He must not know.”
“He will learn when the time comes, I think I will stay and observe him, he altered my predictions I want to see what else he can do.” She came up to Ash and his Pokémon, they growled at her. “Forgive me, it seems I was wrong. Charmeleon can stay with you.”
“You hear that Charmeleon you get to stay!” Ash cheered and hugged him. Arcanine came up and offered his paw, Charmeleon gave him a low paw, and they were good to. He saw how much Charmeleon cared and knew he would do better.

In Zone 4
Erica was tending to her Pokémon when she received an emergency message. “Hello…Erica…Help…Please…” The message Erica believed came from Misty, she had appeared injured in the video, and Erica didn’t hesitate she gathered her Pokémon and planned to head to Zone 2.
“Tropius let us fly to Zone 2!” The Grass Flying type raised its leaf wings and it took off into the sky. When they arrived they saw the team rocket logos on everything! “My heavens, am I to late!”
Boom boom boom boom boom
Shots were fired from below and they struck Tropius and the Pokémon began to freeze. “No Tropius!!” They crash landed and Erica returned him to his Pokeball.
“Thank you for coming Erica, you are such a good friend.” Erica turned to see Misty in a team rocket uniform, she was riding on a Lapras that was modified with two cannons on either side of it. “You like my Lapras Tank, the ice and water shots fired from these are amplified 10 fold. Even a grass type will be knocked out by a water shot from these babies.”
“Misty what have you done?” Erica said in a mix of shock and horror.
“Oh I forgot.” She pressed a button on her watch and Jessie revealed herself. “The girl you seek is in another place.”
“Team Rocket!” She snapped, and she sent out a Pokémon. “Weepinbell!”
“You really are a fool, you think that puny thing can handle all these.” Jessie snapped her fingers and Lapras after Lapras rose from the water all fitted with cannons on them.
“You under estimate the Flower Queen of Zone 4!” In a flurry of petals Erica released all of her Pokémon, except Tropius.
Weepinbell, Vileplume, Bellossom, Venausaur, Meganium, Exeggutor, Tangela, Jumpluff, Sunflora, Sceptile, and Roselia
“I’m not scared of those pests, Lapras Cannons Fire!” The Lapras had no choice but to obey sending a barrage of shots at Erica and her Pokémon.
Erica first disabled their movements with a rain of leech seed, with them bound and their energy being drained they couldn’t dive under water. Then with a massive blizzard of Petal Dance and Razor Leaf, she was able to knock out all the Lapras.
“So you knocked out a few Lapras, there’s still plenty more to be processed.” She whistled and more Lapras came to take their place, they started shooting ice shots which began freezing the ground and made it difficult for the grass types to move.
“Then I’ll free the Pokémon and stop you. Bellossom with me.” Bellossom jumped on Erica’s shoulder and the two raced off. “Everyone stand strong do you best to take out as many as you can.”
The Grass types nodded. Sunflora and Exeggutor fought by putting them to sleep with Grasswhistle and Hypnosis. Vileplume and Venasaur fired off Petal Dance, Weepinbell, Tangela, and Meganium used Giga Drain, Jumpluff and Sceptile used Bullet Seed.
Jessie was annoyed, and she was sick of these grass types. “Arbok, Ekans come fourth!” The two snake Pokémon appeared. Their ability Intimidate lowered the attack of the grass types.
Erica came in to the base, she saw many water Pokémon still in cages including a little male Lapras who continued to attack his prison. “Bellossom use Magical Leaf, slice the cages open!” Bellossom did and set the Pokémon free. “Quickly little Lapras, you must get a message to the Elite.” She gave the little guy a message but before he could take it…
“Gunk Shot!” A ball of garbage struck and dissolved the message. Lapras dove under water and the water Pokémon escaped. “So you managed to free them it doesn’t matter I’ve already sent plenty of powerful Pokémon to the boss.”
Ekans and Arbok hissed and Erica realized her Pokémon had been beaten. “You won’t win, Bellossom use Sleep Powder!” A green mist was fired, and Ekans used Fire Fang and burned the powder up. Arbok rushed in and used Ice Fang and knocked Bellossom out. Ekans then coiled around Erica and squeezed.
“You see my dear we already won, as we speak our forces are taking over your zone and all your grass types belong to Team Rocket.”
“No!!!”
“Oh yes!” Ekans bit Erica and knocked her out, she was put into a tube and sent to Giovanni, two zones were under their control but they made one mistake. They let one little Lapras get away, one who was determined to free his friends and help bring down Team Rocket.

Ash and his Pokémon find some down time and have a little fun. Ash introduces Snorlax, Golem and Charmeleon to their mated family, Haunter gets his reward for working hard, and Leafeon tries out some stuff with Ash.
