Loke had given Lucy plenty of time to get dressed and ready for the day so he popped into her apartment to see if she was there. Lucy was doing her hair when Loke arrived and looking in the mirror to see if she should put on a little makeup. Deciding on a little lip gloss rather than doing her whole face Lucy was pleased with the look and turned around to see Loke standing there in casual clothes looking handsome as always.
“Lucy I was wondering if you would want to go to Galuna Island today to go gather that item with me. Well it is actually items. Fruit to be precise and it only grows on Galuna Island at night when the moon is out. We are expecting a full moon tonight so the fruit will be abundant so we will need to bring bags if you wish to do this with me. Either way I have to go.”
Loke said since he promised his friend that he would get the fruit for him and it was something that would actually take a day to get to since the fruit was on the hillside on the furthest end of the island.
“I don’t see why that would be a problem. Let me put my shoes on and we will get Natsu and Gray to come with us. I am sure they would want to see this fruit you have in mind if Natsu doesn’t eat it all after we pick it.”
Lucy said since knowing Natsu that guy could eat.
“Well he can’t eat it or he will be sick. It has to be cooked and a specific way or it will make the person very ill. I will explain a little more when we get there, but we are going to have to leave now if we want to get back here before midnight.”
Loke figured they shouldn’t take too long as long as they did not run into anyone while traveling. The orchard was only known to a few people so it wasn’t like it was a common thing that people would know about.
Lucy got her shoes on and the two went to the guild hall where Natsu and Gray were drinking beer with Gray stripped down to his boxers again talking to Victor about that substance that Laxus and Fried had. They were thinking about going to the island to take care of the Deliora problem hoping that there wasn’t more of this shit lying about.
“Well we are planning on going to Galuna Island for another reason, but I don’t see why we can’t all go take care of this demon substance problem at the same time.”
Loke said after buying some bags from the guild hall for the fruit to go into.
“What are you going there for Loke? Is it a job? How much does it pay?”
Natsu asked and Loke told him about the services jobs he was doing. He said he did not see why they would not benefit from the service job if they helped to gather the fruit also and the other job would give them something to do while they were looking at the job board for something worthwhile.
Gray after Lucy told him about his clothes got dressed and bought a few bags from the guild hall for the fruit figuring he and Natsu could help. There was nothing else to do and the jobs this week were rather piddle jobs paying not much of anything with no S class job for this week since Jellal took the last one. These service jobs actually sounded like a good way to make friends as well as get a free meal or some kind of service.
Gray liked dancing so the other job Loke talked about was right up his alley. He knew of that club and it was always teaming with hot girls. He had only been there twice, but had enjoyed it when he had gone.
The group took Victor with them to go get Laxus and Fried only to run into Baldric who had been looking for Natsu and Gray. Baldric had a couple days off from guard duty and wanted to spend those days with the two gorgeous boys. After telling Baldric what they were up to he was game to go and asked them to wait while he went to buy some bags as well as put in his name to join the guild since he was not part of any guild at this time.
Mirajane was pleased to tell Master Dreyar they had a new guild member and another dragon slayer to boot who was more powerful than anyone she had met plus was hotter than any man she had seen other than he covered the top his face with a mask. Mirajane let Baldric know after giving him the guild mark on his right upper arm that the S class exams were coming up so to look for them since Natsu was going for it this year and he would need a partner. Mirajane already figured Baldric was S class, but he had never heard of such a thing before. Mirajane said if Baldric partnered up with Natsu he could also do the exam with him. It was a way to prove that you could handle assignments above the normal ones and show off one’s powers a bit. Several guilds held the exam and it was not an easy task by any means, but it was worth the rewards. Apparently it was a big deal and Baldric figured he would talk to Mystogan about it first to see if his King would let him do such a thing.
After buying the bags Baldric met the others out in front with Natsu doing his best not to snatch off that damn mask that Baldric wore. He wanted so much to see his face. He was so gorgeous that some stupid little scar would not change Natsu’s image of the man. Hell Victor had that scar on his cheek and he was still hot.
Going to Laxus and Fried’s house the group knocked on the door only to have Fried answer it with a blanket wrapped around his waist. Apparently the two had been having make up sex after he and Laxus had an argument about his staying in bed until he healed fully. Laxus of course had to prove to Fried he was perfectly fine and did not need to remain in bed unless they were doing something more interesting which made him win this argument after he took Fried so many times Fried felt like he was lucky to be standing.
Fried invited the group inside to wait in the living room while he got Laxus to see if the man wanted to go on a few jobs today. Fried knew that Laxus would want to go take care of the substance, but wasn’t sure that Laxus was big on picking any fruit for a plain service job since he preferred jobs that paid in jewels.
When Fried got into the bedroom and closed the door to change, Laxus grabbed that blanket from Fried and yanked it loose so that his lover was bared naked before him. Fried wanted to argue that they still had guests, but Laxus wasn’t listening right now.
“We have people waiting Laxus!”
Fried protested as Laxus grabbed his gorgeous boyfriend from behind pulling him onto the bed and forcing Fried onto his hands and knees.
“They can wait. You think that you can get away from me and that I am some weakling just because of a few minor wounds. I swore I was going to prove to you I am just fine and until I am satisfied you know this than you shall suffer me Fried.”

Fried finally gave up as he got up trying not to trip over his own feet wondering if he could even walk at this point. Getting his boxer briefs on Fried’s body protested with every movement he made as he slowly got dressed into the suit he always wore when going out to battle. Then he combed his hair making it look nice so that it wasn’t sticking out everywhere anymore.
Laxus put on his pants with no underwear, his purple shirt, his jacket, and ran a brush though his locks quickly since he wasn’t one to primp as much as Fried would. Putting on his boots Laxus was ready to go see what these people wanted. Fried explained only part of it and Laxus was all for getting rid of that demon substance since he wanted to see Lina again. Laxus’ plan was to prepare the house for her to move in so after they were done with this job he wanted to clean their rooms so she would have a nice place to stay plus he figured girls always had more crap than guys other than Fried who was like a girl with all his fancy shit. Fried had more fancy clothes than any guy he knew and all this hair stuff for his long hair. Laxus had hair gel, but not ten bottles of different types of hair shining spray and oils as well as hairspray.
Fried sprayed on some of his hair shining spray then rubbed some oils onto his hands smoothing his hair down with it making it look nice and shiny as well as almost sparkling. Fried loved his hair since it was so pretty. Spraying on a touch of cologne Fried felt a bit better about his scent since he could feel the sweat soaked into his clothes. It was so disgusting when Laxus made him deal with it.
“Come on princess it is time to go great your public.”
Laxus teased Fried who frowned at Laxus as he did not feel like he was a damn princess, he just liked to look nice and smell nice. Right now he thought he stunk other than the bit of cologne so he hoped their guests would not run away after they smelled him.
When they came out of their room Laxus was surprised by how many people were in his house as well as who was there. He was so glad he made Fried go without a bath since the Alpha dragon slayer was here and he made Laxus almost pee himself with the amount of power the guy possessed in one little pinky.
“Can I please ask what is going on? I didn’t think we would need you for this job Alpha.”
Laxus asked politely for the first time in his life. He wasn’t even this polite to his Grandfather whom he did respect and love.
“Oh I am just here for Natsu and Gray. I am taking a short vacation and they promised me a date. I am just basically tagging along for this job.”
Baldric said with a smile since he was glad Laxus was being polite or he would have to do something about it.
“Well what we need is to go take care of that substance issue Laxus and then Loke has a service job he wants us to help with if you are interested. There ain’t crap on the job board so we figure a free meal or two at a five star restaurant isn’t a bad trade for going to pick some fruit when the moon is high in the sky since apparently this fruit only comes out when the moon does.”
Gray said and Laxus shrugged. He had nothing better to do and a nice meal for picking fruit would be worth it since he had yet to take Fried out for a real date since they had gotten together.
“You guys will probably need to bring some bags with you.”
Lucy said to Laxus and Fried who figured some big pillow cases should work as Laxus had Fried go gather two of them.
“I have another service job for that dance club if you guys are interested. I am supposed to gather a stone from one of the mountains further east of here to replace the one that the club uses as a light for the dance floor. It is not a rare thing, but the guy doesn’t want to travel to get it so if you guys like to dance we could pick up a few of them for him and that way he won’t have to worry about it for a while.”
Loke said and Laxus smirked at that since he did like to go dancing. Perhaps these service jobs would be worthwhile once in a while.
“I don’t know about dancing, that is more Gray’s style than mine.”
Natsu said with a frown since he did not dance like what they were talking about.
“I could teach you how to dance little one if you wish to learn. I am certain your boyfriend could teach you too since it would be fun to go out to dance with you both.”
Baldric said as he gently moved a soft pink hair from Natsu’s face. Natsu blushed since he would like to dance, but he always felt so stupid when he did. It was one thing to dance like an idiot at the guild, but the place they were talking about was a club that people actually had to know how to dance to go to.
“Awe come on Natsu, you ain’t chicken are ya?”
Laxus teased Natsu who growled.
“I ain’t chicken! I will dance then and expect a damn battle tomorrow when we get back Laxus! I am going to kick your ass for that one!”
Natsu snarled out since he hated being teased.
“Fine by me. Just don’t cry too much when I send you home limping.”
Laxus said with a chuckle to the pink haired boy who was all fired up to fight him right now if they did not have places to go.
“Natsu calm down. We need to get going if we are going to get back here by midnight. I really don’t want to be out that late if we can get this done sooner.”
Lucy said as the group got up to leave. Victor took the jar with the substance putting it into one of his magic bags for now since there was no point in carrying by hand the whole way plus it might cause the boatmen who would take them to become a problem since this kind of stuff was considered the kind of thing curses were made of and sailors were pretty damn superstitious.
Everyone walked down to the docks where there were several boats and sailors around with some looking for passengers. When they were asked to take them to Galuna Island a few of them balked still considering Galuna to be cursed. However they were able to find a boat that would suit them all and thus they all climbed in although it was a bit cramped they all fit as the boatman stated he was from that island and thus this was no problem for him. He took the money and said he would pick them up tonight from the same side he dropped them off.
When they got to the island the first thing they did was get their bearings. Gray figured they would have to go through the demon village to get to where the remains of Deliora were located. When they got to the village the headman once again asked Lucy when they were going to shoot down the moon with the other demon members of the little village pulling him away telling him that wasn’t going to happen. The moon did not make them be cursed demons.
All the villagers were very nice and surprising enough Loke saw Charlie there speaking with some of the demon girls flirting with them a bit. Gray was immediately recognized by these girls who were fawning all over him with Natsu telling them to get off his boyfriend. Baldric thought this was cute as hell since Gray seemed to be unfazed by their appearance and was very friendly towards them.
Victor asked Charlie if he knew about this substance as he pulled out the jar since Loke said he was the last man who had been in that room. Charlie said he had been doing an expedition on the demon trying to trace back its history for the villagers here since such things like this weird stuff in the jar did not affect demons revealing finally to Loke that he was a demon. In fact Charlie was a better looking demon than human with Lucy gushing how adorable he was with his little horns and chubby round cheeks. He was also very short like a child with little black wings.
Charlie instantly liked Lucy and offered her some of his homemade jerky. Loke told her to take some since it was good, but not to ask where it came from. Lucy took the leathery stuff to try it finding it to be really good as she gave Natsu some to shut him up so that Gray could explain to the demon girls that he was no longer available. The girls seemed to be somewhat bummed, but they liked Natsu too and loved Baldric.
Laxus was doing his best to be polite and Fried was freaking out slightly since these girls took a real liking to him since he had such pretty green hair. Fried also had a demonic smell about him which was from his magic, but the girls found it to be hot. After a while Fried hid behind Laxus who finally put an arm around his mate letting the girls know Fried was also off limits.
Charlie took the group to where the remains of Deliora were located stating that he was trying to do a whole history on the demon, but was coming up with blanks so he was a bit disappointed that they were going to burn what was left of the body. Also Victor noted that there was quite a bit of this substance over the demon so it seemed that this had been a powerful one and the spell would not be easy.
“We need to know if this is the entire demon or is there any you have taken back with you Charlie? It all has to be burned.”
Victor said and Charlie said he did not take any of the body except the pieces he used to make jerky with. At that Lucy about threw up and Natsu with her. Loke did warn them not to ask and after they ate them there was not much they could do now as far as burning it, well except maybe Natsu who had fire in his belly.
Taking what was left of the jerky that had not been eaten since stomach acid would burn that much of it, Victor asked Laxus, Natsu, Baldric, and anyone with the fire ability or ability to burn things to use their powers to destroy every bit that was left of this demon. Fried created a small barrier around them so that the cave did not collapse on everyone or the fire get out of the area they designated as the burn point.
All of the dragon slayers pushed out their powers as the smell of burnt flesh permeated the area. It stunk so bad that Fried had to cover his nose and Lucy covered her face. For the demon slayers it was worse since their noses were much more sensitive. To Charlie it smelled like dinner was cooking and burning a bit.
“Don’t let up! It has to be turned to ash!”
Victor said as he covered his nose since he knew this shit would stink. Loke was holding his nose since his sense of smell was heightened and it really stunk to him. Gray was doing his best not to be sick since the smell was pretty damn gross.
The dragon slayers dealt with the smell although they too were feeling a bit ill soon though the flesh was nothing except ash with that weird substance floating all over the place.
“Gray when they are done freeze that substance so we can see if I can do the spell easier once it is encased!”
Victor yelled over the noise of the fire going everywhere as well as lighting burning up what was left of the demon which wasn’t much. Baldric than helped Gray freeze the weird deep red oozing substance that floated over the ash.
“Ok, Fried I want you to put a barrier up around everyone except for me. I am going to do the spell now and this shit is going to freak out trying to push itself out into anyone in the room.”
Victor said as Fried did the spell around everyone except for Victor who swallowed and hoped to God he did not get this shit after him for too long since this was much more than usually one mage could do at a time.
As Victor started chanting the substance started to move under the ice violently and a huge magic circle formed over the substance then over Victor as he chanted both the substance removal spell and a protection spell to keep himself from becoming possessed. This kind of power was something that Master Dreyar had everyone realized as the spell got bigger and bigger as a light shot up from the sky and a huge circle formed in the hole from the ceiling of the cave that floated above the entire island. The substance started to break free of the ice burning as it did so and bubbled jet black as it burned with Victor chanting louder and louder as the spell was at its peak.
The sky turned black for a moment and then a huge beacon of light slammed down into the ice bursting the cave open as rocks went flying everywhere. Victor was standing as if wind was blowing on him as his mage robes billowed and his staff glowed in power. The light was destroying the substance as it grew bigger and bigger until with a final burst Victor threw the jar with the last of the substance into the light as he collapsed and the cave started to collapse with him.
Fried quickly moved the barrier over Victor as the cave slowly came crashing down. The whole island shook with the force of the tremors with Baldric lifting Victor into his arms insuring the man was still breathing. After the shockwave ended the group waited for Victor to come to hoping the man was alright.
