5 Years Later...

Four adults sit around the kitchen table. Two were drinking coffee, Aidon Avalon, and Samantha Taylor, one was having water, Viktor Karthing, and the last, having tea, was Matilda Drumhilde.
"Are you sure it's been five years?" Samantha asked.
"I'm for certain that it's been five years since their last major conflict." Viktor stated.
"Can't you use smaller words?" Samantha asked and Aidon rolled his eyes. Those two had been like oil and water since the wedding.
"You two will never get along will you?" Aidon asked.
"It seems that way..." Viktor commented dryly.
"I can tell you it was in the six figure range...anything for my daughter, even if the father of her husband can't talk like a normal human being." Samantha bit.
"Hmmm, I think the wedding of my nephew and Meilin was in the seven figures."
"Well, Yelan is tied to a family that is 10 times richer than my company's yearly profits! Although, with Madison My VP, we've gotten a 150% increase in profits." Samantha finished with a smirk.
"Speaking of, how long will Lee and Sakura be gone?" Matilda asked.
"They'll be back next week....four weddings in three month...Lee's hair must be grey from attending the ceremonies of his four sisters." Aidon answered and took a drink of his coffee.
"It's not being the head of a family," Matilda commented.
"How is your son doing, Aidon?" Viktor asked.
"His therapy is coming along slower than Samantha's. The doc says that he'll recover, but it's going to take more time." Aidon said solemnly.
"Hmmm, maybe Natasha's death effected someone more than me," Samantha said pouring another cup and grabbing the cream and sugar.
"Y'know, caffeine..." Viktor started.
"Shut up." Samantha returned. "I need caffeine in the morning."
"Which one of them will be the first to have kids?" Matilda asked.
"Madison isn't showing at the moment, but I've gotten complaints that she and Josh have had relations in her office, in the elevator...it must be good to be young and horny." Samantha commented stirring her cup.
"Give all three couples another three years. I don't think they are fully to be parents yet." Aidon said.
"I'm not prepared to be a grandfather yet," Viktor commented and got up to fill his cup back up with ice and water.
"That, we can agree on. How that boy keeps up with Madison I'll never know." Samantha said and Viktor sat back down and looked thoughtful.
"They went to an odd place for their honeymoon didn't they?" Aidon asked.
"Actually, they just stopped by there for a couple of days. Josh wanted to show her Marian's grave site." Viktor answered quietly.
"Oh my," Samantha said, "I'm guessing that's a sore subject between you boys?"
"Neither of us have fully gotten over my wife's death. I bury myself in my work to make the pain go away. It's the only thing I have, well, except for Josh and my daughter-in-law." Viktor explained.
"I took Lee and Sakura to Natasha's grave site a couple of days after Sakura told me that Lee popped the question. I figure it would fall to them to maintain the site after I'm gone. Tori might recover, but I doubt he'll ever be in the proper mental state to be responsible for his parents' graves." Aidon explained.
"We consider death, in our family, another adventure, not an ending." Matilda broke in.
"Well, your family comes from a long line of members that go out adventuring, so death is nothing new, but for the rest of us normal mortals, we can't accept death so well." Samantha countered.
"They had sex in your daughter's office?" Viktor asked changing topics on a dime. Death made him think of Marian and thinking of her wasn't something he wanted to do at the moment.
"Stuck on that are you?" Samantha teased. "They've also had sex in the elevator, the bathroom, in a conference room..."
"That's enough," Aidon stopped her and samantha smirked before taking a swallow of her coffee.
"Hmmm, now I think we know where Madison gets it. Her mother likes to talk about it and Madison herself likes to partake in it." Matilda said and Samantha glared at her.
'I can't wait for the first full family reunion...' Aidon sarcastically thought. With the marriages of the three couples, they were all tied together in one way or another for good.
