A door opened to admit a man with grey hair out into a hallway. He leaned lightly on his cane and made his way down the hall to the source of the smell of food. He heard voices and entered the kitchen.

"Grandfather," two twin girls said.

"Easy you two, your grandfather isn't as young as he used to be," a woman said. "Morning, dad," she greeted the elderly man.

"Don't tell me the boys are in the lab already," the old man remarked and slowly sat down.

"Yes, they are just as bad as you were, or, that's what mom used to say."

Josh Karthing smiled, remembering his wife, Madison Taylor Karthing. He sighed. He hated the fact that he'd out lived all of his friends. The reason? All the intredimensional jumping he did caused the slowing of cellular decay. He had done it the most so of course he would have out lasted everyone, not that he took pride in that.

Madison, unfortunately, had been the first to go. Apparently, Samantha Taylor didn't look into the history of the sperm donor. His family had a rare genetic disease that hit Madison hard in the later stages of her life. Josh had poured all the resources he could in finding a cure, but she passed away before one could be found. Fortunately, for the rest of his family's sake, a cure had been found just a couple of years later. The healing card couldn't go that deep, so it had been useless. It couldn't work on the genetic level.

"Lee and Sakura were the next ones to go, peacefully in their sleep and together. Josh knew they wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Wulf and Meilin were the last two to go on to the next adventure, and Josh was hoping to go on that adventure soon. He was tired of living without Madison, but he kept getting out of bed day in and day out. All that he had accomplished, technomancy(1), helping humanity finally get back to the moon and beyond, and all the other things he had done were now not enough for him to keep going. Madison wouldn't want him to give up, but living without her was getting harder and harder the more time passed.

Darkness surrounded him. He sighed. Was he waiting on someone or something to judge him before he could go? Or was this some sort of a dream that he was in.

"Josh..."

Josh turned to the sound of the voice.

"Josh...this way..."

He followed the sound. As he did, his ancient appearance faded and he began to walk with the noticeable limp he'd developed. He then stopped, seeing someone he hadn't seen for at least 20 years.

"Madison?" he asked in a small, hopeful voice. He dared not come any closer, for if this was a dream, and if he were to touch her, he'd probably wake up.

"It's me," she said and reached out to him. He thought of avoiding her touch, but he let her embrace him.

"So I'm not dreaming?" Josh dared to ask and Madison giggled.

"Nope, you are finally with us."

"Us?"

"C'mon," she said, grabbed ahold of his hand, and the two vanished from the dark in between realm.

What greeted the young scientist next was something he wasn't expecting. The first thing he noticed was the fact that the sky was pink, pink! Josh had to shield his eyes and noticed that he had his glasses and an actually body. He didn't feel like he was just a spirit without a body.

"Heaven?" Josh asked.

"Hmmm, they don't call it that up here. It's the world of the honored dead. Fortunately, we didn't have to travel Snakeway to get here."

"Snakeway?" he asked and Madison pointed out what looked to be a giant cloud that was in the shape of a snake.

"Fascinating," Josh remarked.

"Because of our heroic track record, we were brought here and given our bodies back."

"I guess all those fights with Fay, Var, Trenton, and Clow cards were worth something, huh?" he asked and Madison giggled.

"Hey, is he...there you are! Figures you'd outlive the rest of us you crazy genius," Meilin said.

"Nice to see you too, Meilin," Josh fired back and Meilin grabbed him by the head and messed with his messy hair.

"Ok, Meilin, let him go," a deep masculine voice said. Meilin did so and Josh saw that it was Wulf.

"I guess even death didn't change her huh?" Josh asked with a smile and Wulf grinned back.

"Josh!"

Josh smiled to himself. Sakura, with Lee running behind her, came over. He knew that he was home now.

1. If you've read Whiteshirt's story then you know what this is.

Ok, reason for writing this second epilogue? It was in my head and it wouldn't leave me alone! For those on fanfiction .net, the entire story has been given a face lift. See how it reads now...hehehe.
