Friendships

"...I thought you would never call."
There was silence for a moment.
"Ami?" Kate asked.
"Kate, I... I just..." Ami sighed. "Cant we just meet somewhere to talk?"
"I don't think that I'm ready for that big of a step. But I'll try to work things out. I mean I'm trying...
I just don't think that I'm ready to try something like that. I still need to think." Kate hung up.
Ami dropped her pokenav and Cable looked up. "What?" He was dumbfounded at first.
"Kate doesn't want to meet yet."
"It took Kate three monthss to meet her mom, she just needs to let everything settle."
"Yea, but still."

"Who was that?" Came a voice from the stairs. Kate turned to see Amanda wrapped in a towel.
"A friend and I have been fighting. We're still having some trouble getting over everything.
She didn't sound as if she wanted to call, and I didn't really expect her too."
"What happened? Between you two that is."
"She found out about me. That I liked other girls, and well. It didn't go well."
"How about we get you out of here?"
"What?"
"Well since I've been here you've had a routine of activities."
"Like what?"
"Sleeping, cooking, watching movie, eating ice cream..."
"Eating you?"
"Yes... wait. What?"
Kate smiled then looked at the floor. "I have been inside a while, haven't I?"
"Get dressed. We're going out!"
