Nature
He strode quickly down the hall, glancing only momentarily at the frantic woman pacing beside him. He'd deal with her worries about scheduling for two upcoming bands later; for now, he had an early meeting with a security firm.
He'd long known K was exceptional-- he didn't expect any system to keep him out, not really. But it did at least need to offer resistance, and Tohma couldn't let the man get away with having bypassed it so easily the other night. Locks were supposed to keep people out, but to the American they seemed an open invitation. He'd have to find something that wasn't so inviting.
It wasn't that he intended to prevent him entrance at all; it was his nature, though, to make things difficult.
K ignored the sly, quick glances from Bad Luck's guitarist; Hiro may have figured out something was up, but he was smart enough not to let on. Ryuichi's meddling was enough, however that may go. The truly well-intentioned interference of the redhead in a game where the other players were manipulative bastards would earn someone a lot of trouble. He couldn't have it reflect on Bad Luck. As it was, Ryuichi had guaranteed him a no-fire zone, despite what might occur soon.
And that was more than K had hoped for.
He wasn't an overly subtle person—nobody, not even he himself, claimed he was. But sometimes, even the most tactless people hide things, make-pretend about their intentions because after all, it's only second nature—who wants to be predictable?
