Robots, Games And Chocolate

Near was woken by a small voice “Sir..sir..”
Near opened his eyes slowly and began to blink.
“We’re going to be landing in a moment and you both need to fasten your seat belts.” The air hostess said quietly.
“Ahh Thank you for informing me” Near said looking down noticing that Matt was still curled up to his side fast asleep.
The hostess nodded and smiled before walking away through the curtain.
Near took a moment before starting to shake Matt awake “We’re nearly there Matt.” Matt groaned. “Want to sleep.. tired...mm later”
Near smiled slightly before masking it.”They probably won’t land the plane if you don’t sit up and fasten your seat belt.”
Matt jerked upright and fastened his seat belt. “ ‘m awake.”
Moment later the announcement came that they were going to be approaching for landing.

Near grabbed Matts hand giving a slight squeeze as the plane began to descend.. Matt looked to Near as his hand was squeezed he smiled to Near. “We’re almost there Near” Near merely nodded and kept his eyes focused to the window.

Once the plane landed Matt and Near grabbed their on-board luggage watching as someone loaded there other luggage onto a trolley.
As they approached the main door they saw a youngish looking women standing in a black skirt-suit, She was about 5ft9, Blonde hair.
She smiled as she approached them waving off the man pushing there luggage trolley.
“You must be Near and...” Checking a piece of paper in her hand. “Matt”
Near nodded “I’m Near and this is Matt.. Sorry you were informed last minute of Matt coming along.”
The women nodded “I’m Halle. I’ll be working with you. and for you” Halle held out her hand... Near looked at the hand then to the floor.
Matt reached out and shook her hand “I’m Matt. Near doesn’t like been touched so don’t be offended.” Halle nodded her head. “Of course.. well shall we go then” She turned and walked to a car parked in front of them.

Matt and Near climbed into the car as Halle loaded there luggage into the trunk of the vehicle ‘There children. I knew they were young but this...’ She sighed and closed the trunk before climbing into the driver’s seat, and started the car driving off silently.

The entire car trip to HQ was silent Matt kept glancing to Near who spent the whole ride one knee raised onto the seat a finger twirling in his hair as he watched the scenery pass by.
Entering an underground Garage Halle entered a code into the keypad. as the Gates opened she drove in and locked them behind her as they closed.
Parking close to the door Halle got out and greeted a man as Near and Matt climbed out.
Halle turned “Leave the bags They’ll be brought in” She turned and nodded to the man she had been speaking to. and walked inside waiting as Matt and Near joined her. She lead them to an elevator that took them to the higher floors. “This is the main floor, The floor Below has some more members that will be working from there.” Halle walked down the small corridor “You’re Bedrooms are on this floor along with 2 rest rooms, 2 smaller studies and a main open plan area with sitting area, all the main computers and kitchen off the the side.”....
Hearing no reply she looked around making sure they were following. Seeing they were she continued “I’ll introduce you to the 2 other main members and you can meet the others once you’ve settled in.”

As they reached the main area they saw a lot of sealed boxes with Nears name on them. 4 smaller screens and one larger one, most blank.
2 men were watching them.
Halle approached both men standing in Between them
Matt and Near glanced over both men One was young maybe even younger then Halle the other was older maybe early 30’s.
Halle spoke up “ As you know with this case we also have changed our names.... To my left is Stephen Gevanni. AKA Gevanni. He’s skilled at Tailing and monitoring suspects. He can be crafty when needed to get into Suspects places to look around.... To my right is Anthony Rester AKA Rester. He’ll be working as your right hand man and will only leave this building in an emergency...” She looked from her left to her right then spoke again “This is Matt” Pointing to Matt “He is Nears friend and has come to help he’ll be working with Near only. Not with the SPK” After she finished speaking she pointed to Near “And this is Near he’ll be the one working to catch Kira”
Both Rester and Gevanni raised there eyebrows before Rester stood forward going to shake their hands “Nice to meet you both” Matt stood forward and shook his hand, Near didn’t move so Rester moved back looking to Halle, She shook her head mouthing ‘Later’

Near nodded to the boxes “Have they all arrived”
Rester Nodded and pulled out a list of all boxes “Yes here is a list” Handing it to Near “May i ask what is all of this.” He looked round the room to the boxes.
Once Near checked over the list he handed it back “They are various computer equipment we’ll need and other bits. Matt will sort them out later.” He glanced to Matt who gave a small nod in response. “We would like to unpack and have something to eat before we do so. Also...”He paused as he reached into his bag and gave 2 files to Halle “These have the details you’ll need about myself and Matt. After you’ve finished ready them bring them back to myself.”
Matt choose to speak up as Near went back to staring at the floor. “Which is our room as was a long flight... plus i need an ashtray bringing to the room.”
Gevanni looked up “You’re a child you can’t smoke it’s against the law.”
Halle and Rester stood quietly as Near looked up and took a step forward. “Matt is here as MY guest and MY friend. If you have a problem with his smoking i’m sure there’s another job that you could do.”
He looked from Near to Matt then to Halle who shook her head “No, I don’t have a problem.. I apologize” He bowed his head before walking into the kitchen area.
“You’re rooms are this way” Halle said pointing down the hall “I’ll bring you guy some food and drink shortly. You can rest tonight you must be Jet lagged.”
Nodding his head Near said quietly “Thank you we’d appreciate that.”
Matt added “We require one room not two.”
Halle merely Nodded and led them to a large open spaced bedroom. “The bathroom is across the hall”
Matt and Near entered the room. Near looked around and wondered over to the window and desk looking out. Matt exchanged a few words to Halle before closing the door
“We need a lock for this door” Matt said climbing on the bed. Near turned and walked to the bed himself. “Theres a few changes i’d like to make. to both security. and the computers out there.”
Near snuggled into Matts side and yawned “Sleep now we’ll worry over that in the morning.” Matt said as stroked Near’s hair.


Outside in the main room Rester, and Halle were reading over the files Near had handed them. Gevanni had gone down stairs. to help down there.

Matt: 14 yrs old, Family Deceased. Interests: computer games and anything technical. Skills:- Computer Hacking, and general computer skills.. Need to know Information: Matt hates bodily contact but will verbally discuss things when needed. will always be playing a game of some sort. Hates loud noises and will become distant when pressured.

Near: 13yrs old, Family Deceased. Interests:- Toys, and puzzles he likes to keep his mind challenged Skills:- Near is intelligent in all areas and a quick learner to new subjects. Maths and Psychological problems are best area. Need to know information:- Near has form of Aspergers. he takes medication but may on occasion need to be reminded to eat or take them under extreme stress. Hates all form of contact DO NOT TOUCH unless in emergency. anti-social and will only speak to get his point across..

After Halle and Rester had read the files they placed them down.
Rester spoke up “Someone so young taking over the name of L. He’s still a child”
Halle nodded. “True but he’s more intelligent then both of us put together. We’re here to aid him in anyway. We’ll trust his judgement and follow his orders to stop Kira.” Halle stood “there isn’t much to do until they wake up so go help downstairs with the others.” Rester nodded and walked out the door towards the elevator.
Halle walked down the hall knocking lightly on the boys door, Waiting a few minutes before opening the door she glanced around the room her eyes looking to the bed where both Matt and Near was asleep. She walked over covering them with a spare blanket before walking out and back to the main room.

Near woke up and glance around their new room, Apart from the large Queen size bed, their was a large desk, large set of drawers, and a wall fitted wardrobe.
He looked down to Matt who was fast asleep next to him. Sighing and climbing out of bed.
Near made his way out of the room and to the main room, Looking around.
Halle was sitting at the computer desk, Rester was asleep of the large sofa off to the side of the room and Gevanni wasn’t in the room. ‘He must be down stairs’ Near thought.
Near stepped silently into the room and glanced at the clock, ‘4 am’ Near sighed before muttering to himself “Even with the time difference i’m up early.”
Halle turned at Nears voice “Near i thought you were asleep.”
Near looked at her for a moment before responding “I always wake up early and i also have trouble sleeping at times...” Thinking for a moment “Maybe i should of added it to the file”
Halle smiled and stood up from the computer. “Don’t worry, Do you want anything to eat or drink.” She asked as she headed to the kitchen.
Shaking his head. “I’m not hungry. although when Matt wakes he’ll want a cup of tea and anything with bacon.” stepping near to the computers glancing at the screen. “And he’ll be setting up the new computers, We’ll require everyone to be downstair while he works.”
“Of course” Halle replied from the kitchen while busy making some tea. “Anything else sir.”
Near thought for a moment “Yes call me Near not sir, i hate it. And i Require some changes made to the security here.. Matt will deal with that though”
Near was still glancing at the computer scree when Halle reappeared carrying 2 Mugs of tea. Near nodded over his shoulder “Does he normally sleep there.”
Looking to where Rester was. “No, he has a room i was going to wake him soon.” She said as she placed the cups down “Drink up Near”
Frowning at the cup and staring at it for a few minutes before picking it up and sipping.
Halle and Near then sat in silence looking over various files in front of them.

Next time Near stopped to look at the clock it was 8am. Halle stood and went to the kitchen to prepare some more tea and coffee for Rester when he woke.
Rester yawned and stretched, Spotting Near at the computer he stood up “Sorry sir i don’t normally...”
“I know Halle informed me..And i’ve informed her of what will be happening today.” Near stated not stopping his typing at the computer.
Rester just nodded his head before walking through to the kitchen sitting down at the small breakfast bar.
