Chapter Twelve
Taming the Weasel
I love you…
The softly spoken words drifted through the air like rose petals on a summer breeze. Aoshi stood frozen inside the arms of the most desirable and unpredictable woman he’s ever met...and he couldn’t get his mouth to open. He couldn’t say a word. He couldn’t make a sound.
He was completely speechless.
Becca had said those words to him, and he remembered feeling like the he was walking ten feet tall. But the twisted up emotion she called ‘love’was not anywhere near his definition of the word, and the pain caused from that almost destroyed him. His eyes fluttered closed as his memory reminded him of the sensation, warning him against the possibilities of being hurt again. Aoshi was not grateful.
‘Kaoru is not Becca!‘ He growled at his subconscious. ‘They are nothing alike. Kaoru is open, honest, caring... and she’s never tried to pry into my past... she accepted me for who I am... both of ME!’
“Kay, I- I…”
“It’s okay, baby. You don’t have to say anything back.”
Her soft voice was comforting and he felt her nuzzle into the sensitive spot behind his ear. The scent of jasmine wafted through his olfactory passages and he burrowed into the curve of her shoulder, shuddering just a little. How could she say that to him? How could she just let him off the hook like that?
“But honey, I... you... Kay…”
“Hush, Aosh. You said all I needed to hear.” Her hand stroked the smooth hair on the back of his head in a gesture meant to soothe, and comfort. “You said I was important to you. That’s enough for me, as long as it’s okay with you that I love you. Is... is that okay?” She sounded unsure and it clawed at his heart.
“Yes, Kay. It’s alright...if you want to love me.” He pressed a soft kiss into the pulse point on the side of her throat. “Is that what you want?”
“Uh-huh.” Her arms tightened around him and she pulled him closer. “That’s what I want.”
“Well, like I said before. I can’t seem to say no to you about much of anything, so... knock yourself out, baby.” Aoshi pulled back and tenderly cupped her face with his hand. She was so beautiful. Her eyes were shining and the smile on her face took his breath away. “God,” he dropped his forehead against hers. “You look like an angel.”
“I do?”
“Definitely.” He couldn’t stop the grin that spread through his lips. “The Angel and the Devil... You know, that’s funny.”
“Hmm…” she giggled and quickly stole a kiss. “Maybe God sent me to save your soul? You think?”
Aoshi laughed and let go of her so he could look her in the eyes. “You think I need saving, little Angel?” He asked, twirling her under his arm and then heading for the front door.
“Absolutely.”
Aoshi gapped at her as she slipped passed him and disappeared outside. ‘That little... oh, she’s going to pay for that one.‘ The look that passed over his face was decidedly wicked, revealing just exactly where his thoughts were headed. ‘Must remember to buy whipped cream on the way home.’
OoooOoooOoooOoooO
THUMP THUMP THUMP
“What the fu…” Misao raised up on her elbows. She was still on Kaoru=s bed. Her lips thinned. Who could be pounding on her front door this time of night? She wasn=t expecting any visitors, and Kaoru and Mr. Wonderful were already gone.
THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP
She leapt off the bed as the knocking became more insistent and several degrees louder. “I’m coming, I’m coming. Geez, keep your shirt on.” Whoever it was, they were pretty determined to get someone to answer the door, and that made Misao nervous. So before she unlocked the door, she raised up on her toes and looked through the peephole.
“Oh no!” she groaned, sliding down the panel in disgust. “You have got to be kidding me?” Her eyes rolled back in her head as she considered not opening the door, but another round of banging changed her mind. Gritting her teeth against the angry words that wanted to come seething out of her mouth, she yanked the deadbolt back and pulled the door open. “What already?” she snapped.
“What the hell took so long? I’ve been standing out here for 20 minutes?” Gold tinged violet eyes glinted hot irritation at the fuming brunette. “I could have frozen to death waiting for you to get up off your lazy ass and…”
“Lazy ass?” All efforts and even minimal civility went flying out the proverbial window as Misao clenched her fist and snarled at the red-haired man. “You’ve been out here all of thirty seconds Red. That’s not even enough time for your ‘inessentials’ to freeze off, now what the fuck do you want?”
“Don’t you swear at me, girl-friend.” Kenshin’s eyes narrowed as he finally caught the drift of her ‘inessentials’ comment. “I’m looking for Aoshi. He was supposed to be taking your roommate out to dinner tonight. Has he been here yet?”
“Of course he has. They had reservations at seven, so Prince Charming was here promptly at six-thirty. You missed them by about fifteen minutes, Slick.”
“Dammit,” he swore and yanked a frustrated hand through the thick mane of his hair.
“Ahh, what=s a matter…” Misao purred, stepping out onto the cold, cement porch.
“Did ya need to talk to the pretty boy ‘bout sompun’? Havin’ probwums you can’t handle by your sewf?”
“Be careful, little girl.” He growled, eyeing her like a wolf eyes a rabbit. “Your treading on thin ice--careful you don’t fall through. I’m not one of your little puppies you can play your games with. Your getting way out of your league here.”
“Ha! I’m not afraid of you, Himura. You’re nothing but a stuffed shirt full of hot wind. I’ll bet if I poked you with a pin, you’d pop like a big balloon and go pppttttttttt.” She made a complicated pattern of zigzags with her finger and started to laugh.
“Very funny,” His tone was icy even if his eyes burned molten amber. “You should have stopped while you were ahead, girl-friend.”
Misao choked mid-laugh. “What?”
“I told you, I don’t play games, and I don’t care to be mocked by snot-nosed little brats who don’t know when they’re out of their depth. Seems to me it’s time someone taught you a lesson in manners, you wild animal.”
“What does that mean?”
“Just what I said.” He took menacing step toward her, smiling when she took a step back. “I plan on teaching you a lesson.”
“Wha-what kind of a lesson?”
“That you can’t get away with treating people any way you want just because you think it’s okay.” Another step forward followed by one more retreat. “That you can’t be a snipe and call it a personality flaw, and that you can’t walk around like a sea urchin, poking whom ever you want because it’s just plain bad form.”
“But-but that’s three things. You only said one lesson.”
“So we’ll bunch them up together.” He growled and advanced the last step necessary to herd her back through the door. “Who=s counting anyway?”
“I am!” She screeched and whirled, diving for the stairs, but the iron grip of his hand seized her arm and yanked her back. She tumbled into his waiting arms just as the door closed. Her options had run dry. Misao felt the beginnings of panic building in the pit of her belly. She knew without a doubt he wasn’t bluffing, but she had no idea what he was going to do to her. It didn‘t really matter. She started struggling against his grip, pulling and twisting her arm in his hand. “Leggo my arm.”
He answered by seizing her around the waist and throwing her over his shoulder, carrying her like a sack of potatoes across the room. Misao howled like a banshee all the way. Her fists hammered his back, but he remained silent and impassive until he reached the couch. Then he dropped her to her feet, sat down, and jerked her over his lap. When she realized he intended to spank her like an errant child, she began to heap curses on his head.
“Goddamn you, Himura! You bloody sonofabitch! Let me go... Don’t you dare lay a hand on me. I swear to God, you touch me and I’m filing for assault and battery. Do you hear me, you crazy asshole? I’ll scream my head off... People ‘ll think you’re in here killing me and call the cops. I’ll sue your arrogant ass for everything you’ve got. I’ll…”
WHACK!
“OWE!” Her head arched back as white hot pain exploded in her derriere and then radiated down her thighs. “Damn you, you bast…”
WHACK!
“AAAA!”> Her body jerked and she desperately tried to escape his steel-like hold, but it was like trying to break out of steel bands. “STOP!” Tears burned her eyes and she could feel the wetness on her face. “Stop or I’m going to scream, I swear…”
WHACK! WHACK!
“OH GOD, STOP!” Her legs spasmed and she fought to breathe as the air choked in her throat. The point of her chin pressed into the side of his thigh and her hands gripped the loose fabric of his dockers. “Please, stop.”
“And if I do, are you going to be good?” He sounded like one of her old elementary school teachers and it pricked her temper despite her predicament.
“Go to hell, Himura. You aren’t my father.” She spat. It was not a good choice of words.
“Wrong answer, girl-friend. Ten lashes.”
“Wha…”
WHACK! WHACK!
“STOP…”
WHACK! WHACK! WHACK!
“HIMURRUAA!”
WHACK! WHACK!
“PL-PLEASE ST-STOP, I‘LL…”
WHACK! WHACK!
“…BE G-GOOD.”
WHACK!
“I-I pro-mise... I promise.” Misao hung limply over Kenshin’s lap, hoarse sobs shaking her slight frame. Tears soaked his trousers, turning the pale khaki to a dark tan-green beneath her cheek. Tiny spasms passed through her legs, jerking them and rubbing her shins and ankles over the old carpet. Her knees didn’t quite reach. Her hands were still balled up, fisted in the fabric of his pants leg. The knuckles turned white with exertion and stress.
It appeared she had learned something.
Kenshin sat quietly, looking down at the suddenly subdued woman lying across his lap. He had not really meant to go quite as far as he did, but, dammit, she brought the fury out in him like no one else. He had never met anyone so frustrating and abrasive in his life... or beautiful. If it weren’t for her vicious personality, he’d probably be sniffing up her skirt but he didn’t like to fight. There was enough of that with his ex’ to last him ten lifetimes. He didn’t need anymore. Still...
Gently he lifted her limp body up and set her in his lap. Then he pulled her head against the curve of his shoulder and wrapped his arms around her trembling form. Rocking back and forth in a slow rhythm, Kenshin stroked a hand down the length of hair spilling over her shoulders and rested his cheek against her forehead. She lay stiff against him for a moment and then melted into his tender embrace, laying her hand on his chest just over his heart.
His fingers crept to her cheek and he wiped the wetness of her tears away with the pad of his thumb. It seemed natural from there for him to cup her face and stroke the soft skin, feeling the smooth warmth slide beneath his touch. The wispy feather soft hairs at her temple were fascinating, and he slid his fingers over them again and again until he heard her sigh and she snuggled closer against him, pressing her nose into the warmth of his throat.
“You like that, do you?” he whispered, brushing his lips over her forehead.
“Hmm…” was all she said but her hand slipped from his chest to tangle itself in the silken mass of hair at his nape.
“What else do you like, little one?” he asked in a husky whisper as he let his fingertips glide over her cheek and along her jawline. Then he dipped down and traced the curving arch of her neck and watched as she let her head drop back, giving him better access and a full view of her face.
Though stained with tears, it was still exquisite and he caught his breath. Her lips were slightly parted, showing the tips of her teeth and the moistness of her mouth. High, arching cheekbones and a narrow chin gave her an elfin look, and he wondered off hand what she would look like with pointed ears. ‘Beautiful…’
Unable to help or restrain himself, Kenshin bent over Misao’s body and pressed his open mouth against the warm flesh on her throat. The pulse point leapt beneath the stroke of his tongue and a raspy moan rose up from his chest. He cupped her head in his hand and used the other to slide her blouse to one side, exposing her collarbone to his searching lips. She tasted like salt and clean skin... warm and alive, and a hunger he had not felt in years began to boil in his flesh.
“H-himura?”
Her hands were trembling as they roved his back and shoulders, and he could tell she was confused and unsure. Hell, he was confused himself. The agonies he felt squeezing his lungs when he pulled away from her made him want to scream, but he couldn’t do this unless she wanted it.
“I’m sorry, Misao. I shouldn’t have done that.” He watched as she blinked her big ocean colored eyes at him. He was right. She was definitely confused.
“You...you’re sorry? You mean you didn’t want to kiss me?”
“No, I did... but I shouldn’t have. I-I took advantage of you, and it wasn’t right. Especially after what has already happened tonight. I think I should go.” A ragged breath filled his lungs and he lifted her off his lap, shoved himself up off the couch and started for the door.
“I’m not a little girl, you know.”
“I know you aren’t a little girl.” Kenshin turned and looked at the scowling woman. “That’s half the problem, but I am a lot older than you, Misao. It’s not right.”
“How much older?” she demanded, crawling off the couch and moving to stand in front of him, hands on her hips. “It’s not like you’re my father.”
“No, and God knows I wouldn’t want to be.” He grinned despite himself.
“And what’s that supposed to mean?”
“You’re a handful and then some, girl-friend. I’d hate to be the one trying to keep track of you.”
“Humph, I=m not asking you to, besides you probably couldn’t keep up anyway, old man.” She waved him off and turned her back to him. “Go home then. It doesn’t matter to me one way or the other.”
For some reason he couldn’t identify, that last statement of hers really bothered him, and he reached out spinning her back around. “It doesn‘t, huh?”
“No, it doesn‘t.” Her jaw was set in a hard line, but her eyes said something very different.
“I think you’re lying, little girl.” Kenshin’s eyes narrowed and he deliberately pulled her into his arms. Interesting, she was almost three inches shorter than he was. He had never noticed that before.
“What makes you think so?” Her arms trembled as she lifted them and rested her hands on his chest. “I don’t even like you.”
“Uh-huh. I don’t like you either.”
“Fine. Then go home.”
“Fine. I will.”
“Fine.” She looked down at her hands. They were playing with the buttons on his shirt. “Will you do me a favor before you go?”
“Maybe, depends on what it is.” He was watching her play with his buttons-and holding his breath.
“Tell me how old you are?”
“Twenty-eight.”
“That’s not that old.” She looked up into his eyes and blinked. “I’m twenty-one.”
“Really? Old enough to drink and buy cigarettes.”
“I guess so.”
“Anything else before I go?”
“Umm... just one more thing.”
“You’re pushing it, you know that, don’t you?“
She shrugged and went back to playing with his buttons. “You asked.”
“That I did.” He sighed, and shut his eyes for a second. “What is it?”
“I was just wondering... if it isn’t too much trouble... if you want to…”
“Will you spit it out for God’s sake.”
“Will you make love to me before you leave?” Misao looked up and met Kenshin’s shocked, wide-eyed stare and bit her bottom lip. “You don’t have to. I mean... if you don’t want to. I-I just thought, maybe... I-I…” She stuttered off into silence when he didn’t say anything, her cheeks flaming red with embarrassment. “Sorry... I didn’t mean to…”
Kenshin lifted his hand, cupped the back of her head, and smothered whatever she was going to say beneath a voracious kiss. His lips parted hers and he fused their mouths together, molding them into a single surging entity of hunger and passion. Pushing his tongue past her teeth, he invaded the moist cavern of her mouth making Misao moan. Her arms slipped her around his neck, holding on tight while she buried her hands deep inside the satin of his hair.
Heat exploded between them, and suddenly there wasn’t enough time for what he wanted to do. Impatiently he tore open the front of her blouse, sending silk-covered buttons in all directions and uncovering her small but perfect breasts. Bending her back over his arm, Kenshin kissed and licked his way down her throat to the lace-covered mounds, nipping at the outline of pebble-hard nipples pushing against the thin satin. He palmed each sensitive globe in his hand, squeezing and rolling it in turn while he grabbed the firmness of her ass in his other hand. She was exquisite... perfect, like something out of one of his fantasies. He couldn’t remember wanting a woman like this before and when he covered her mouth again, all he could think of was how good it would feel to be inside of her-clear up to his balls.
“Bedroom?” He rasped into her ear, both hands at her waist, his erection pressing into her stomach.
“U-upstairs,” she stammered, trembling against him. “Second door on the left.”
“Excellent.” He scooped her up in his arms and headed for the stairs, taking them two at a time. The door to her room was open and he swept her through it, depositing her on the rumpled bed. “Don’t you dare move.” He growled in her face, planting a passionate kiss on her lips before disappearing back down the stairs.
Sounds of the front door opening and closing drifted through the door, and the unmistakable ‘beep-beep’ of a car alarm being set. Misao giggled and rolled onto her stomach. So that’s why he went back down stairs. She heard the door open and close again, the sound of the deadbolt locking and then the distinctive ‘thuds’ of feet on the stairs. A moment later Kenshin was kneeling on the bed beside her, smoothing the hair off her back, unclipping her bra, and running the tip of his tongue up her spine. Misao shivered and opened her eyes to look at him.
He had removed his shirt somewhere between the front door and the bed and she caught her breath at the sight he made. He was gorgeous. Although a small man in stature, Kenshin Himura was no light weight. The finely chiseled muscles of his chest and stomach bespoke hours if not years of hard physical training. She watched the play of muscles flex along his arms as he moved and realized there was a tremendous power stored inside his deceptively small frame. He was not a man to be toyed with on any level. Suddenly the scar on his face meant something different to her than it did before. Had he got it in a fight? She knew he used to be some kind of a professional stuntman in the movies, but he was also some big Karate Master. Where did the scar come from? Who gave it to him? Without thinking, she rolled over and cupped his cheek, tracing the crossing lines with her fingers.
“How did it happen?” She asked softly.
Kenshin pulled back. He had not expected that. Not from her. He looked away and then down as the pain of that memory floated to the top. “My wife gave it to me.”
“Y-your wife?” She struggled onto her knees. “You=re married?”
“Not anymore.” His eyes were hard and flat when he turned back to look at her pale, wide-eyed face. “We split up not long after she did this.”
“Why did she do it?” Misao reached out and touched him again, feeling a deep pain in her heart for something that probably never should have happened.
Kenshin reached up and pulled Misao’s hand away and then held it between his, looking at how small it was. “She did a lot of drugs and alcohol. When she mixed it together it made her paranoid.”
“Did she try to kill you?”
“No. She was all packed and ready to leave me for the cheating bastard I was. She just wanted to make sure that no one else would want me after she was gone.”
“I... what do you mean.”
“She ruined my face, Misao. She thought by slicing up my face she’d destroy my chances of ever being with another woman. After all, who wants to be with a man who has a face like this?@
According to your best-friend, everyone.” Misao smiled and watched as Kenshin gave a small ironic laugh. “He’s bound and determined to keep you away from Kay because he’s so sure you’re going to steal her away with your looks and charm.”
“He’s full of shit. She loves him so much she can’t see anyone else... Period.”
“I know. I wish I could…” Misao stopped and looked away, blushing and folded her arms across her naked chest.
“You wish what?” Kenshin cocked his head and looked at her. Seeing her vulnerable was a new thing for him and he wasn’t sure how to take it. It was such a contrast to what he knew of her. “Tell me what you wish.”
“No, you’ll laugh at me.”
“I will not. Tell me.”
“Well,” she looked at his hands where they were folded in his lap. “I have always wanted to be loved like that, but Kay says I’m too abrasive and peevish. I push people away because I never give them a chance to see what kind of a person I am. I smother my boyfriends, and none of them are strong enough to stand up to me and tell me how it is, so they just leave. I never understood why until tonight. She told me while I was helping her get ready for her date. She said I need to lighten up... but I don’t know how.”
“Yes, you do.”
“No, I don‘t.” She looked at him and frowned. “Why do you think I got into so much trouble with you? Like you said, I don’t know when to shut-up.”
“That’s not exactly what I said, Misao. I said, you don’t know how to stop while you‘re ahead;” He smiled gently and pushed himself up, crawling over to her. “You just need to learn that what comes out of your mouth should be coated with honey and not vinegar.”
“But how do I do that?” Her eyes grew wide as his face got closer and she had to lean back to keep him from bumping into her head.
“Take lessons from someone who knows how to talk to people/” He replied as he followed her, pushing her down onto her back. “Learn how to watch what you say, control your tone of voice, and then see what happens.”
“But who am I going to learn that stuff from, Himura?” Her breath was starting to come in short, harsh gasps as he lowered himself on top of her, pressing her breasts against the nude flesh of his chest. “Who do I ask?”
“Ask me, Misao.” He said, tracing the line of her lower lip with the tip of his tongue. “I’ll teach you whatever you want to know.” He parted her thighs with his knee and dropped one leg between. “I’ve been dealing with difficult people all my life…”
“You couldn’t deal with me…” She pointed out as she curled her arms up his back, letting her fingers walk over the smooth supple flesh.
“Don’t remind me.” he muttered, nipping her shoulder. “You are the exception to every rule I have.”
“I am?” She nuzzled his cheek and shoulder, kissing his skin and nibbling on his earlobe. “What rules?”
“Never lose my temper no matter how difficult the person. Never lose control in and argument. Never date anyone more than five years younger than I am. Never argue with an irrational woman…”
“I am not irrational!”
“Uh-huh.”
“Be careful, Himura.” Her eyes flashed. “I may wish you hadn’t come over tonight.”
“I’m doubting that, little girl.” He chuckled and kissed her long and deep until she relaxed beneath him again. “But I will tell you one thing.”
What?” she asked, moving against his hips suggestively.
“Be careful what you wish for, you may get it.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Guess you’ll have to figure that one out on your own.” He laughed and rolled on his back so he could de-pants her without difficulties. “I’m not in the mood to explain. I’ve got other things on my mind just now, so shut-up... you talk too much, girl.”
“Himura! You jerk!”
“Careful,” he grinned and rolled her back under him. “Remember what happened the last time you started calling me names.”
“I know, but... Ohhhhh…”
Kenshin had somehow managed to remove both of their pants and in the middle of her tirade, he buried himself deep inside her, effectively cutting off any further conversation. He groaned. She was so wet he had slipped in without any restriction at all. Now, sheathed to the hilt, he gathered her up in his arms and simple held her, savoring the sensation of being joined to her body.
“H-him-mura…” Misao trembled violently, her hips pushing upward into his, searching and asking for him to begin the ‘dance’. “What are you…”
“Shhhhh, my little one.” He nuzzled her cheek and kissed her mouth. “Just feel it with me, Misao. Reach inside of yourself and ‘feel’ where we are joined together. There are two heartbeats pounding between us, Angel. Two souls that cry at night because they are alone. Feel how they curl around each other. Feel how they recognize another life. Feel me, Misao... feel us.”
It was something she had never done before-never even thought about before, but something in the tone of his voice made her want to try. So she closed her eyes and tried to reach for the part of herself that was connected to him. The sensitive tissues that stretched to accommodate his body pulsed with heat and energy as they gripped him in their primitive embrace. Hunger and desire battled inside her body while her soul cried out for a joining of spirits that would take her to a higher place. That was when she felt it. A gentle touch. A tingling along her spine that lead to the periphery of her inner awareness. A presence inside of her that was not her own.
“Kenshin?”
He shivered. She had never called him that. “I’m here, Angel.”
“I....I feel you.” Her breath warmed the flesh beneath his chin. “You=re... in my head.”
“Yes. That I am.” He slipped his hands down her body, lifted her knees over his elbows, and planted his hands firmly on the mattress. “Feel me, Misao. Feel us, together.” Pulling back, he nearly left her body and she cried his name in protest, but then he surged into her with a force that slammed the headboard into the wall. Her scream of pleasure echoed through the old house, bouncing off the stucco walls. Again and again he plunged into her body, wringing every degree of satisfaction from her body possible. More than once he brought her to the pinnacle only to pull back and bring her down again, leaving fulfillment just a breath away.
“Ken-shin...please…” Misao’s voice was hoarse with hunger. Her passion and need exhausting her body, but he had not yet released her from her agony. “I can‘t…”
“Are you mine, little Angel?” He asked, leaning over her, kissing her swollen lips. “Have I tamed you?”
“Tamed me?” Her wide, glazed eyes filled with confusion.
“Yes, tamed. I came this night and confronted an out of control, wild animal. Have I tamed her? Is she mine?”
A beautiful smile spread across Misao’s face and she reached up to tenderly trace the scar on Kenshin’s left cheek. “Yes, Kenshin. She is tamed and most definitely yours....if you want her.”
“I want her,” he rasped, pulling her hips up high and pushing into them. “I want her more than she can understand.” With those words spoken between them, The Master of Blood slammed his body into hers and finally fulfilled the needs of both their bodies. Exhausted and drained, he collapsed beside her and dragged her over his chest where he held her tightly.
“Stay with me.” She asked in small voice. “Stay the night?”
“I wasn’t planning on going anywhere, Angel.” Kenshin chuckled and kissed her forehead. “Not only am I too tired now, but I don’t want to leave.”
“I’m glad.” She pulled out of his embrace long enough to find the blankets and pull them up. “I don’t want you to go.”
“Come keep me warm?” He wrapped his arms around her again and gathered her next to him. “Aoshi says this place is colder than the Arctic.”
“He exaggerates a lot,” she said, snuggling against his side and laying her head on his shoulder. “But I’d love to try and keep you warm. Sounds like it could be fun.” Her fingers tickled his stomach.
“Hey, I’m an old man, remember? You said so yourself, and we need our rest, so you mind your business and let me sleep. You don’t want to kill me before I’m thirty, do you?”
“God, what a baby. Want me to go out and buy you some Geritol?”
“Shut-up and go to sleep, you mouthy brat.”
Hey, you started it.”
“Yeah, well. I’m gonna finish it too if you don’t shut-up and go to sleep.”
“Ewww, I’m scared…”
“Misao!”
“Okay, okay. I’m sleeping already. Geez! What a grouch.”
“You best get used to it, Angel.”
“Why?”
“Because. I plan on hanging around.”
“Y-you do? For how long?”
“Awhile.”
“How long is awhile?”
“Awhile. No go to sleep.”
“Himura?”
“Dear God! What?”
“I’m glad you came over tonight.”
“So am I, Angel.”
“G-night.”
“Finally.”
“Grouch.”
“I’m gonna stuff your mouth full of socks... I swear to God.”
“You need anger management, Himura.”
“MISAO!”
“Snore…”
“God, have mercy…”

Post Script:I have purposely left the inner monologue absent between these two because I want their relationship to be as big a mystery to ‘us’ as it is to them. It should be a lot more interesting as well as fun that way. Please keep an open mind. Thank you. Mangetsu (KnT)

And actually, I haven’t gotten any replies that the sex was too hardcore… I have been very honest that it’s explicit. Thanks for the support. It means a lot to me.
The Last Samurai: I have seen you before… It is good to see you again. Thank you for coming back. Sorry both you and Sephiress are getting ‘butchered’ for reading my fic. She and I have been friends for a long time now. God bless for sticking with me (even if it is on the sly) LOL. You’ll have to tell me if I really blew it with this chapter. I’m bitting my fingernails.
Blonde B Ball Star: I’m sorry about the formatting thing on MM. I think I got it fixed now. What a pain in the ass. I hope you got my e-mail. Maybe I can keep you up to date that way. I will try to remember, but you know how dumb old ladies are. J
Twishinky: Twish, my lovely… it’s always good to hear from you. I need to get off my ass and go read your chapter. I haven’t read anything new over here for weeks. I need to get back to it. How is work? What’s new with you? Write to me, tell me what’s going on. We haven’t talked in ages and ages. I miss ya, girl-friend.
Midnightkattt: I am really pleased you liked the story enough to go back and finish it. I am humbly honored by your persistence. Thank you. (bows). I hope I have not disappointed you with this chapter. God Bless.
