A Goddess Reborn
(A Saiyuki Fanfic)
The flowers were a vibrant red and he smiled as he brought them in to
the house and held them up to her.
"Mom look at these yeah?" He smiled he hoped she would like them. "The
man at the flower shop said they're for you!" He held them up for her to see
and he saw the corner of her mouth tilt up in a smile as she looked down on
him. Perhaps he'd finally done it, twelve years old, twelve years and maybe he
had broken through to her to make her accept him as her son too.
"Nn. How very p-pretty." Her long brown hair hung straggling down to
her waist as she spoke to him.
She suddenly slapped them away startling him. "They're the color of
blood. Blood red. Blood red. Blood red. Blood red!"
She grabbed him by the hair harshly and he found himself calling out.
"Please! That"OW!" She hit him. "Mom!"
"Your little flowers disgust me! They're ugly as the blood that woman
shed!"
The door burst open and he heard Jien's voice. "Mother what are you
doing?!" The expression on his brother's face, one of shock. "Mother, STOP!" He
raced froward dropping the shopping and grabbing her hand to stop her from
hitting him.
Gojyo looked at Sherekhan as she stood in the doorway. Jien looked at
him. "Gojyo go back to your room!"
"J-Jien, Jien"¦" Their mother clung to him and he held her in an
embrace. "You and Shere are the only ones mommy loves. Jien"¦Shere"¦"
Gojyo looked on and he looked at Sherekhan as she stepped inside and he
looked at her as she went to reach for him and he burst past her in to his room
and he could feel her watching him and he could feel her fresh tears on his
bare arms.
He sat on his bed the noise next door of their mother's heavy breathing
and he pulled a packet of cigarettes out from under his pillow and lit on up
sitting on his bed.
"Ah! Haa"¦ nn"¦ ah"¦"
The regular creaking of a bed. The regular wheezing of a single woman.
"I wish I was deaf.' He thought to himself.
~*~*~*~
She smiled as she carried the two trays towards the table, the balance
was perfect of the trays and she set the plates down on the table still
smiling, it was enough to get by working here, she could pay rent instead of
living on the street like she had been, and she could get enough to eat, but
that was all"¦ it was all she could do she didn't dare ask for any more of a
raise they had taken her in off the streets when she was only ten this was all
she needed to survive for now.
"I hope you enjoy your meal." She smiled as she headed back towards the
kitchen.
"There you are Kaika, table five want some more rice, so take this to
them." The chef remarked.
"Sure." She smiled and carried the dish out to table five and the men
looked up at her and she blinked and smiled as she set the bowl down. "There we
go you're rice."
She jumped as one of them reached behind her and grabbed her from
behind and she spun round slapping his hand away with the tray. "Do not touch!"
She scolded.
"Awwww c'mon honey." He smiled.
"I'm working here." She scolded before walking off.
"What about after work baby?" He ginned.
"Not in a million years."
~*~
She smiled as she headed out after work. "I'll see you tomorrow Jiao."
She waved.
"Be careful out there Kaika." He smiled as she headed down the street.
She turned round the corner and held her bag close to her as she
spotted some figures across the street watching her.
She sucked in a deep breath. "Don't be paranoid, just cause this is the
first late night shift you've had in a while doesn't mean all the weirdos come
out after dark.
The sixteen year old stopped at the corner her house was only two more
blocks away she could make it and with out a scratch. She stopped seeing a man
sitting on the steps of the next housing complex he held a brown bag obviously
some rum or another form of alcohol was in the bottle and she looked on
worriedly.
"Jien"¦" Kaika smiled seeing Sherekhan as she raced up to her brother.
Kaika on occasion used to watch over Jien's younger sister and the
young girl had become pretty good friends over the years she had watched over
her since she got the got at the restaurant.
"Heya baby"¦" a voice spoke up behind her and she froze before looking
over her shoulder to see the man from the restaurant. "Miss me?"
"No." She replied and turned round to walk off only to see his friends
surrounding her.
"Man what I wouldn't give for a piece-"
*SLAP*
He held the side of his face as she glared at him challenging him.
"Don't you dare speak to me in that manner!" She shouted.
He looked at her before his eyes narrowed. "Oh you'll pay for that
honey!" He grabbed her roughly and she let out a scream.
"LET HER GO!!!" A voice shouted.
Kaika looked over and a fist shot through the air and she jumped as the
man was knocked back and she looked at him as he grabbed her by the hand and a
blush crept across her cheeks as he pulled her away.
"C'mon this way!"
She only followed as he pulled her along the blush remaining on her
face as he reached the other side of the road and he stopped seeing a woman
appear on the doorstep and she looked at Kaika.
"I'll be back mother, I promise."
"Jien"¦" his mother spoke and he continued to run with her the group of
men giving chase. "My son"¦"
"Jien"¦' Kaika looked on at the back of his head as he led her down the
street and round the corner.
He stopped and she slammed in to him and he looked at her. "Are you
okay?"
"I'm"¦ I'm fine"¦ thank-you."
He just smiled at her and his hand let hers go. "Do have somewhere to
go?"
She pointed up to her apartment. "I live there."
He looked up, then to her. "You're Shere's sitter and best friend? All
this time and we've never met."
She looked at him curiously. "Why is that?"
"While you watch over Shere"¦ I watch over my brother Gojyo, that's
probably why." He just smiled but she could tell there was sadness in his eyes.
She pulled out her keys from her bag and looked at him. "Thank-you
Jien"¦ I will think of a way to repay you"¦"
He smiled at her again. "You don't have to." He walked off his hands
stuffed in to his pockets and she felt the blush again.
"But I will somehow"¦' She thought to herself before walking up the
stairs to her apartment.
~*~*~*~
"Um, sister? I don't wanna clean with Gonou." The nun looked at the
young girl her hair in two ponytails done up in braids.
"And why is that? Gonou is a fine upstanding boy."
"He's scary. Y'know? I don't think he's ever smiled."
~*~
"I know your literacy gained you that prestigious school's acceptance.
But I wanted to ask, Gonou. Will you really be alright leaving the orphanage?"
The nun looked at him. "God watches over those who love their neighbours. And
that sister you were separated from"perhaps one day"¦"
"I'm not certain God exists, Sister." He pushed his glasses up his
nose. "And if he does, he's incompetent."
"Gonou." She looked at him. "If you don't love others, you won't be
loved." He saw that look it was sympathy. "You poor child"¦"
He looked down. "I suppose you're out there somewhere my other half. I
wonder if you'll love me?'
~*~*~*~
She sat in the library in front of the large fireplace and she looked
over her shoulder as Kougaiji stepped in to the room and she smiled at him.
"Kougaiji-sama!" She raced up to him her hand grabbing his and she smiled
happily. "I learnt a new spell isn't that great?"
He smiled at her as he let her lead him back to the fireplace and she
sat down in front of it. "Tern snake!" She pointed and he watched as the fire
swirled round and he watched as with just saying the creatures name she
summoned the dark beast from beyond where it'd been previously.
She smiled at him, as he looked on surprised. "Tejas, you summoned a
God."
"A what?" She asked.
He looked at her and she could tell he was worried. "I did bad?" She
asked.
"No, you did great but he has to go, send him back before mother finds
out."
"Hokay. You can go now."
The fire died out and the God had vanished. She was turned round
suddenly as he held her by the shoulders. "Not even I can summon Gods to do my
bidding, Tejas do not repeat that spell in the castle ever again, it's bad
news, I don't want you to ever get hurt and my stepmother will hurt you if she
knew what you could do, so please"¦ please don't ever do that again?"
She sniffed as tears started to fall. "I'm sorry."
He pulled her close to him in an embrace. "No don't cry, please it's
okay, you are very important to me and I don't want to see you get hurt. It was
a great spell wonderful, but it's dangerous round here." She was so innocent he
didn't want to corrupt her didn't want his mother to use her for her own wicked
schemes, she deserved better than that, he saved her and raised her so she
could do better. "Look lets forget it ever happened and I'll get you a
chocolate sundae. Is that okay?"
She smiled up at him. "With chocolate sprinkles?" She asked hopefully
He smiled down at her. "With chocolate sprinkles." He repeated.
"Yay!!!" her arms flapped up and down happily.
He walked her out of the library and she skipped of a head singing.
"Chocolate chocolate chocolate"¦"
Kougaiji watched her worriedly. "I'm going to have to send her away to
save her; there's no other choice. I hope she'll be okay there, but how long do
I wait till I can do that?'
~*~*~*~
The kitchen light was on even though the rest of the world was quiet
and she sat outside the kitchen listening to her parent's voices, her knees
curled up to her chest.
"Ashei, I just got word, he's dead"¦ first Alan then Sanzo"¦ they're
after the scripture, if Sanzo didn't have it on them, they'll come after Kiah
and myself, we have to make sure Vayu is well off if anything happens to us,
please"¦"
"Shuda, please stop it you're scaring me." Her voice was desperate.
"We can't"¦ we can't stay here, we bring the people of this village in
to my affair and I can't do that, they don't deserve that."
"What'd we do Shuda? Please? What can I do?"
"You stay here I'm going to pack I have to go, I can't put you at risk
either, I can't let you get hurt because of me."
Vayu's fist clenched and she wiped the side of her face and she looked
up seeing a shadow at the door and she gasped racing in to the kitchen ad
running behind her parents clinging on to her father's trouser leg peeking out
behind him.
"Vayu?" They looked down at her.
Ashei looked at the figure as he stepped in to the kitchen and he
smiled at them. "I've found you"¦ Shuda"¦ the scripture, where is the scripture?"
He looked on at them standing in front of his family and he swallowed
hard seeing the demons surrounding the house.
"I don't know I don't have it." He replied.
"Then you are no use to us then." He grinned baring his teeth. "Time to
eat boys."
They burst through every possible entrance. "DADDDDDDY!" Vayu screamed
as they yanked him away and the windows started exploding and the lights of the
house started flickering.
Ashei looked at her. "Vayu"¦"She breathed.
"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Vayu screamed and a black fog came out from around
her encircling each of the demons and lifting them off the ground and her eyes
suddenly flashed, the demons looked down at her. "You leave us alone." Vayu
warned.
"What the hell, is this a kid of Satan?!" One cried.
"YOU HURT MY DAD SO YOU CAN DIE DIE DIE DIE DIIIIIE!" She screamed and
suddenly the fog squeezed so hard it crushed their very bodies turning them in
to demon dust and she blinked for a moment her eyes returning to normal before
she suddenly hit the ground.
"Ashei are you okay?" She heard her father's voice. "I'm fine"¦ but you,
you're hurt"¦"
"It's just a scratch, I'll be okay. But what was that? What did she
do?" He asked.
"Vayu!" It was the last thing she heard before everything went
completely black.

The old monk led the newly appointed Sanzo to the room and he pushed
the door open. "You can leave our mountain, but I warn you the surrounding
mountains are haunted by evil spirits. It's too dangerous for a traveller
alone, strong as you may be." Sanzo looked at the weapons on the wall. "Take
what you want"it will replace the necessity of a farewell gift."
The young Sanzo looked on at the various weapons on the wall.
"From these?" He asked.
The elderly monk looked at him. "The most fearsome creatures"¦ are in
human form." He replied.
*CLICK CLICK*
*BANG*
*CRASH*
The flowerpot shattered and the water leaked on to the wooden table and
then to the ground.
""¦"¦.." Sanzo held the Smith and Wesson in his hand. "It's the perfect
size for me to put a hole through my skull at any time.' He thought to himself.
He held the gun up. "This is all I could need."

Sherekhan sat in Gojyo's room watching him as he just sat on the bed
and he looked at her sitting cross-legged on the floor.
He looked so sad. "Gojyo"¦" She began.
"Shere where are you baby?" Their mother's voice called.
Gojyo looked at her. "You should go, I'll be okay Shere."
She looked down as she stood up and peeked out of his door before
walking out to where her mother was wandering aimlessly.
"I'm here mother." She looked up at her.
"There you are." Their mother hugged her. "Where were you?" She asked.
"I was sitting down." Sherekhan replied not mentioning that she was in
Gojyo's room trying to make him smile.
Her mother held on to him. "Jien's gone out so it's just you and me
sweetie why don't you keep mommy company?"
"O-Okay"¦" Sherekhan replied.
~*~
Sherekhan was woken up by Jien as he shook her. "C'mon Shere it's time
for bed." She reached up as she let Jien pick her up and carry her out to her
room she looked over tiredly seeing Gojyo standing at the door a cigarette in
his mouth.
"Gojyo you should stop that those will kill you." Jien remarked.
"Maybe it would be better if I was dead." Gojyo replied.
"Nooo." Shere reached for her brother as she was carried away and he
turned his back on her before closing the door to him room.
"Gojyo"¦" She could feel the pain he was suffering and she could feel
her own tears flow down her cheeks. "Jien why does mommy hate Gojyo so much,
why can't she love him like we do?"
"It's complicated kiddo, really complicated." Jien replied as he
carried her to her room and laid her down in her bed tucking her in.

Goku sat in the confinements of where he'd been locked away for a crime
he couldn't remember the spells plastered over the walls chains and bars as he
sat there huddled just looking at the sun rising in the distance. His knees
pulled up to his chest and his arms hugging them.
"Even if this was deep. Even
if this was really, really deep in the earth"¦' He looked at the rising sun.
"The sun's not what I'd wish for.'
~*~
*flutter flutter flutter*
Goku had his back to the sun and he turned round to see a little yellow
bird that came through his bars and he looked at the little bird. He knelt
there peering at it curiously for a moment then held out his hand,
"Cheep!" The bird spoke to him.
~*~
Goku smiled as he enjoyed his time with the bird and it's visits to him,
sitting on his hand it's tiny beak pulling at his hair making him laugh.
~*~
Then one morning Goku awoke and he looked through the bars the little
bird was lying there"¦ unmoving. He sat up his eyes widened. He raced to the
bars and he looked at the bird, it lay there dead.
Goku stretched through the bars to try to reach his friend, but his
friend was out of arm reach as he tried to reach the little guy several times,
"Even if this was deep.' He thought to himself
*Clench*
He gripped the bars. "Even if this was really, really deep in the
earth.'
*Slip*
"It could've ended without me knowing about freedom or loneliness.'
It was at that point he let out a grief stricken cry as he clung to the
bars mourning his friend.

Cyran ran down the street the two figures hot on her tail and she could
feel the true fear pulsing through her veins as she raced, she let out a cry as
one grabbed her hand and she just screamed as she was spun around and she
looked at him as he pinned her up against the wall. His eyes a shade of blue
that was un-natural to humans and his hair green.
"Uruz"¦ please don't"¦" She begged.
He grinned as he flung her out on to the street and walked out she
looked up at him. His partner caught up and looked down on her also.
"It's time to teach you a lesson you don't run from us." He smiled as
his orange eyes flashed a dangerous shade almost like fire and he ran a hair
through his blue hair.
"Kano, please you both know me, I just want to live a normal life"¦"
They both grabbed her by an arm each and phased out with her leaving
the humans who had been witness to stare and wonder at the sight that had just
happened.
She felt herself hit the ground and she looked up, it was the gateway
to heaven, she could feel the tears.
"Time to go home." Uruz remarked.
"I don't want to go!" Cyran cried.
"Perth don't be such a weakling, you're part of our family and we
always stick together." Kano remarked before giving her a swift kick in the
ribs and she started coughing.
"And get this the best part about returning her, Konzen, Kenren and
Tenpou are all dead." Uruz smiled. "You have no one left to hide behind."
Cyran looked at the gates horrified. "Then I'd rather die than return,
I'd rather die!" She exclaimed.
*WHACK*
She heard the thump and looked up as a figure let go of the two heads
and the gods landed on the ground and the long haired silver god turned round
and his purple grey eyes looked at her, his tanned complexion almost matching
her own.
"Mannaz"¦ brother?"
His expression was dead serious. "This is the only time I help you,
just live your life and look over your shoulder because they will be back and I
won't be able to help you next time."
"Manny"¦ thank you." She stood up and turned round before phasing out
and leaving him standing there over the form of his fellow colleagues.
~*~*~*~
She sat outside looking at the rock garden the monks walking by her,
she hadn't moved in a week and every so often one would bring her a meal once a
day, she just kept turning the scripture round in her hand.
"It is done Kagayaku Sanzo's spirit has chosen the next Sanzo!" A voice
called out.
Tears strolled down her face as she looked at the grave markings.
She heard footsteps and she watched as a figure walked through the gate
eyes aqua. It had to be a sign.
"Kwetin!" She stood up and rushed over to him and he looked at her
before she could hug him, he pushed her away.
"Don't touch me, this is no place for a woman." He snapped.
She looked on as he walked past, her head fell. "Am I nothing but a
burden to these people? Can I go home now?' She looked to the gate wistfully.
"Back to a stepfather who does noting but beat me up because I'm not his child,
back to a fearful mother and a step-brother who has no idea what's going on?'
A hand touched her shoulder and she looked up at a monk. "Come with
us"¦" She followed the monk in to the temple and saw them all looking at her and
whispering Kwetin knelt in front of the head monk and looked at her and
motioned her forwards. She took two steps and stopped at the base of the line
on the monks in the isle towards the monk an she knelt down her head lowered.
"Kagayaku Sanzo has chosen the next heir, he appeared to me in
meditation, you both are his pupils but only one can become his successor.
"Raido"¦ you are now known as Nakiryu Sanzo. Sanzo priestess of the Henka
scripture."
She looked up shocked suddenly. "M-me?" She asked.
He bowed his head. "With this new title comes new responsibilities, the
three aspects will see you in a week's time."
She lowered her head. "As you wish."
"HER?!" Kwetin shouted. "She is a girl! She couldn' even save him, he
died trying to save her! It's her fault he's dead! HER FAULT SHE MIGHT ASWELL
HAVE KILLED HIM HERSELF!!!" He exploded and raced from the room.
"Kwetin!" She went to go after him.
"Nakiryu!" The voice stopped her. "This way child." She turned round
and walked up to him and he motioned for her to sit in front of him and she
followed and he gave her the crimson charka of the Sanzo priest. Before he
placed the golden crown on her head.
"To fight the demons that give us grief he has chosen a demon spawn
that defies all logic what was master Sanzo thinking?" She heard the whisper.
"Defies all logic? What do they mean by that?' She thought to herself.
"Do you accept your responsibilities Nakiryu?" The elder priest asked.
She lowered her head in respect. "If it is my grandfather's wishes then
I accept." She replied humbly. "But why me Grandpa what have I proven to you,
except that I always get in the way?'
~*~*~*~
As they emerged from the hot springs Raido found herself dwelling on
the past that had given her such grief, Kwetin had run away from the temple
that day and news had come that demons had attacked him and that he'd died by
that same stream her grandfather had drowned in, part of her had believed it
and another part had defied that belief. Now he was truly dead by her hands.
"She is a girl! She couldn't
even save him; he died trying to save her! It's her fault he's dead! HER FAULT
SHE MIGHT ASWELL HAVE KILLED HIM HERSELF!!!"
"Raido"¦" She heard her name and looked at Vayu as she walked up to her.
"You sure there isn't something funky with those springs?"
"They haven't been altered, they are the hot springs of ten years past,
and they bring forth memories of long gone." She replied. "If I had known I
wouldn't of even stepped foot in them."
"I"¦ I killed demons when I was only ten years old." Vayu replied. "I
had forgotten about that, but they were going to hurt my father and in the end
it didn't save him, with all my power I couldn't save him.
"I know the feeling, I couldn't save my grandfather"¦" She sighed. "And
I got the most stupidest of fears from it. Running water of a river or stream,
I just can't seem to get close to it"¦ without remembering and that alone scares
me."
"Well at least you can swim in it unlike someone I know." Goku remarked
as he looked up at them.
*THUNK*
"Will you shut up?!" Gojyo snapped.
"Ow Gojyo you're such an ass."
"Only because you're s stupid whiny monkey."
Raido slammed a hand over Gojyo's mouth. "Please tone it down just for
now Gojyo"¦ okay?" She smiled at him.
He sighed and she removed her hand. "Thank you."
Sherekhan looked at the two and Kaika looked at her.
Goku looked to Sanzo. "So if we all had these memories does that mean
we're going to be a bit awkward for a while?" He asked.
"I want a chocolate sundae with chocolate sprinkles." Tejas whined.
"Man stop that, you're making me hungry." Cyran complained.
"Sorry." Tejas sighed. "I can't help it I'm hungry you guys."
"So what happened to you ten years ago then?" Cyran looked at them.
"I summoned a Fire snake God." Tejas replied.
"My parents saw my true powers for the first time." Vayu sighed.
"I was given the title of Sanzo." Raido added before looking at Cyran.
"My brother saved me from being forced back in to heaven by my parents
family and friends. "His words to me were that he wouldn't help next time.
That's so like him."
"He sounds like an ass if you ask me." Gojyo remarked.
Raido just smirked. "Sounds like Sanzo more than anything."
"I can hear you." Sanzo shouted over at them the anger in his voice
obvious.
Sherekhan looked up at him. "They're only teasing Sanzo."
His shoulders sagged. "What is with this girl, why do I find it so
hard to say no to her?'
"I think we better get a move along." Hakkai looked at them, "We need
to get away from here."
Sherekhan looked down. "I'm sorry we didn't know they were those
springs." She looked at Gojyo.
Gojyo just nodded and placed a hand on her head. "It's okay sis, I
don't mind sometimes a trip down memory lane is all it takes to snap you back
in the reality of the world."
"That it completely and utterly sucks." Vayu added. She blushed as she
felt Hakkai's arms embrace her from behind.
"It doesn't always have to be that way Vayu." He remarked.
She looked down her cheeks red. "I know"¦ it's just that"¦"
"Tomorrow night me and Goku get to spar!" Tejas interrupted.
Goku jumped up and down suddenly excitedly. "YAAAAAY!" He cheered.
"That was not what I was going to say you stupid pixie." Vayu's eye
twitched.
"Lets just get going." Sanzo walked past them.
~*~*~*~
The group of ten sat round the campfire, the smoke rose from the fire
vanishing in to the night sky. There was silence between all of them as they
sat there pondering on their own memories of ten years past.
"It seems a lifetime ago"¦' Raido took a drag of her cigarette
looking in to the fire. "What life is this?' She looked round the group.
"Three years ago, the only ones I wondered about were my family and I only
lived for them and I told myself once they were gone I would cease to exist.
But now"¦' She looked round the group watching them just sitting there in
silence. "Now I don't, I couldn't not live, but sometimes it would just be
easier"¦'
*PAP*
Raido looked up at Vayu her hand on her head. "Vayu"¦"
"Don't even think it." She remarked and Raido smiled.
"I'm sorry"¦" She looked at the end of her cigarette "I didn't mean to
bombard your mind with my depressing thoughts."
"We all have them." Vayu sat down next to her.
Raido just took a drag of the cigarette before blowing the smoke out
adding it to the smoke that already lingered in the air. "What am I Vayu? What
am I suppose to be?" She sighed.
"You're a pain in the ass when you get depressed that's what." Vayu
replied.
Raido just smiled. "You know what I mean, I'm neither human or demon,
I'm not even a half-breed"¦"
"I know." Vayu looked up at the darkened sky. "But you are mostly human
and you have spilled the blood of a thousands demons and defied logic by not
becoming a demon. You are just different."
~*~*~*~
She couldn't explain it, she was dreaming she knew she was yet it felt
so real like it was actually happening to her and she sat in her old house at
the table and she stood up looking at her mother who just smiled at her.
Raido went to walk down the hall to her room stopping by the floor
length mirror when something caught her attention and she looked at the bloated
stomach.
"Mooom"¦" She turned round and saw her mother standing there smiling and
took her by the hand. "W-what's going on?"
"It's okay can't have you moving about with the child on the way, you
need rest." Her mother smiled.
"C-child?" Raido squeaked.
Her mother lent her in to her old room and she looked at Sanzo just
sitting there in a chair a cigarette in his hand glasses on his face as he read
the paper.
"Sanzo?"
He just looked up at her. "I was wondering when you would return."
"RAAAAIIIIIIIDOOOO!" Tejas bounded in to the room and jumped on to her
shoulder and hugged her happily round the neck making Raido smile, the youngest
member of their party always had a smile for everyone and in turn it made her
smile more, to make up for lost smiles.
"What's going on?" Raido asked.
"They've come to visit you and congratulate you." Her mother smiled.
Raido looked to the window as Vayu lent in the open window. "Just rest
up we'll watch over you."
"C'mon now Raido needs her rest." Her mother remarked.
Tejas jumped off her shoulders and smiled. "You rest up and leave the
rest to us kay?" She skipped out of the room.
Raido watched her as she passed Gojyo and he lent up against the wall a
cigarette in his mouth. She blinked at seeing him there.
"Congratulations priestess, once again you defy all logic of this
world."
"Gojyo"¦" She looked at him.
He just smiled at her. "Just promise me one thing"¦"
"Uh sure." She looked at him.
"Don't forget me Raido"¦" He slipped off the wall and began to head out
leaving her alone in the room with her mother and Sanzo.
"Please Sanzo"¦ can you chant a sutra for the baby? Kagayaku chanted one
for Raido when she was a baby."
He raised an eyebrow. "I don't chant sutra's for kids." She saw the
look her mother gave him it was almost pleading before he sighed and pulled out
his crown and slipped it on. "Fine."
Raido sat on the bed and the mother smiled as she stepped out side the
room. Raido looked at Sanzo. "You don't have to"¦" She began when he began and
she could feel the suddenly pain it was unnatural feeling, truly painful and
she could only focus on Sanzo's words to soothe her pain before he stood up and
she looked at him and he placed a hand on her stomach and she looked at him as
he doubled over suddenly, he looked ill, like he was literary going to throw
up, a look she'd never seen before and she grabbed his hand.
"Sanzo"¦"
He slapped her hand away. "Don't touch me"¦" He looked up at her. "That
child"¦ it's evil." He remarked in a voice low. He stood up walking to the door.
"Sanzo"¦" She went to give chase when the pain came again and she felt
it again an unnatural pain so great she had to lean against the wall, when her
mother rushed in at her cries. Her mother grabbed her as she slid down the
wall, the liquid was everywhere it was warm and sticky and she felt sick.
"Something's wrong"¦"
"I'll get a doctor!" Her mother rushed her to bed. "Don't move."
"Mom"¦" She looked to the door and then she felt it, like it slid out of
her and she cried it was only a small foetus. She lay there looking at it and
grimaced before turning away.
Raido sighed and looked at the door, it was opened finally and the doctor
stepped inside followed by her mother and he looked at the mess.
"A miscarriage but I have never seen one like this." He cut the baby
free of her and she looked at it as he laid it back on the already soiled bed
and Raido looked at the child and touched it's head lightly, when it suddenly
woke with eyes of the purest green and it looked at her and she then noticed as
it sat up suddenly.
"It was dead"¦" The doctor breathed. The baby then stood up on it's own
two feet and Raido noticed it had doubled in size to that of a normal sized
baby and it's black tuff of hair was still slicked over it's body form the
fluids the doctor grabbed a damp luke warm towel and began to clean the baby
off.
It just stood there as he did so before looking at her with it's green
eyes, it's eyes were piercing like it bore right in to her soul and then it did
something else that the newly born baby's didn't do along with rising from the
death and walking round, it smiled and Raido scuttled back.
"What a remarkable child"¦ We might need to put it in to an incubation
chamber till the flesh has healed"¦"
"Flesh healed"¦" She looked at the baby. "It's got skin"¦"
The doctor picked the child up and he smiled at her as he left. "The
baby will be fine"¦"

characters I own are the ones you don't recognise"¦ fancy that ;p
To
