Friendships

Finally an update. Took me a while to get the idea right. will add more soon.

Kate was wearing her typical atire, the same clothes she had arrived in. Only... washed.
Amanda however had a pink fishnet shirt over a white tank top, black bondage pants that hid all but the
front of her sneakers, and her team rocket jacket.

Kate looked as if she were an agrophobic who had just stepped out into the daylight.
"C'mon Kate. Lighten up. We're out to have a good time."
"Yea."
"So what do you want to do? Get breakfast?"
"We could have done that at Carla's."
"But we would have done it. This way we have time to sit and talk."
"Talk about what?"
"You. Me. You're fight with your friend..." Amanda hesitated "...Where we might be going."
Kate looked at her with a bit of a melloncolly look and gave a half hearted smile. "Okay."
"So. First. Where to eat?"

They picked a small place with little business because the breakfast rush had died down,
they took their seats and ordered, but for the most part they didn't talk.
Once their meals had arrived small talk started and then they moved onto the bigger things.
Kate explained the fight and the history between her and her friend.
Amanda replied with when she told her friends, and how she hadn't been that trusting untill she
met Carla and Kate. The two went back and forth talking about problemb after problem for a while
untill they finnished. Kate picked up the check out of habbit and saw the disappointment in Amandas face.
"What? I did it all the time with Ami. it's just a habbit." She glanced down. Amanda patted her back and they
walked back to Carla's Cafe.

A day had passed and Amanda had to go out again, she found that she had lost some of the elixers she had bought.
Kate on the other hand stayed to help Carla make food for some big event.
"Carla. What's going on?"
"A wedding. The Tzuka boy is marrying Laya Misuki. Both families couldn't have been happier, and since
I know both they've hired me to cater."
"I'll watch the shop for you. Where did you put the new menue?"
"It's over the cookie jar." She looked up from some sweet rolls.

The phone rang. "I'll get it."

"Hello... Yes... I see... Is there any... all of them, that's too bad... Yes, I'll let her know... Okay... Goodbye."
As Kate hung up she let out a sigh.
"Carla."
"Yes."
"There was a flood, it destroyed all of the rental vans and trucks."
"Oh no!" Carla dropped a spoon and frosting on the ground. "will need to rent another truck! We don't have enough
people to help prepare the food and if I call the renters right now... not enough time... How are we going to get all of this food to the wedding?!"
Carla was frantic and seemed to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

"Carla. it's okay. I think I know who can help." Kate said patting Carla's shoulder. "He isn't all there though, but he is quick and has some good deals."
Carla looked at Kate, tears is her eyes. In just the few moments her hair had become a tangle of brown and black locks, her mascara had run down
her cheeks and she had bit her lip leaving a bruse. "Who?" She asked nervously.
"Just someone who had given me a ride to Lillycove for the cute contest." She smiled and produced a worn flyer from her pocket.

Carla looked at kate who was already dialing the phone. "I'l take care of the payment. Just take care of your makeup before they start
calling you, CRAZY CARLA!" Kate said with a funny voice and waving an arm in the air, she heard carla laugh then leave the room.

Carla had finished her grooming and had come down just as Amanda arrived. She had a few bags with her, most from the pokemart,
but one was from a jewlery store. "Hi." they said together.
"What's in the bag?" Amanda knew what she was talking about and walked to the table. she reached into the bag and took out a few boxes.
"Pick one." She told the cook.
"What?"
"Pick one."
"I..."
"Don't tell me that you can't. I spent quite a while and a pretty penny on these so pick one." She playfully pouted "Or you'll hurt my feelings."
Carla pointed to a light green box.
"I knew you would pick green." Amanda handed it to her, which she opened. "Ooooh!" Inside there was a silver and emerald choker necklace.
Little leaves started each end, every few links there was another leaf bigger than the last untill they ended with a two inch leaf in the center.
"It's pretty!" Her green eyes sparkled as she looked at the shining gift.
"I thought it would be nice to have something pretty to wera to the wedding."
"Thank you!"
"Put it on. I still have to give Kate her's."
Kate who had been standing behind the two pinched the pink haired girl's butt causing her to jump in surprise.
She turned to Kate stareing at her with a smug grin.
"You..."
"You liked it." Kate's grin grew a little. Amanda blushed and Carla giggled, which only made Amanda blush more and Kate laugh.
"Fine, you don't get your's!" Amanda grabbed the red box off of the table.
"Yes I do." Kate retaliated by kissing the girl.
Carla had a look of surprise as Amanda eagerly returned the kiss. She knew about Kate, but never gave a thought about Amanda.
Kate broke the kiss and smiled. "So?"
Amanda handed the box to her.
"I win!" Kate opened the box and her smile dropped to a frown, it was empty.
"I win."
"Why?"
"Because if you want what was in the box, you have to kiss me again."
Kate turned as if she was going to walk away, a hand on her shoulder stopped her. She grinned inwardly as she looked back.
Amanda held up another necklace. It matched Carla's, only instead of leaves ruby flames decorated the chain.
Kated lunged into her lovers embrace hugging her snugly and kissing her in an almost brusing manner. Pulling back she smiled.
"We win." She turned and lifted her hair, getting the hint Amanda placed the necklace around the shorter girl's neck fastening it in place.
When It was fastened, kate showed her necklace to Carla, who in return showed her's to Kate. Light chatter filled the small space of
time then they turned to Amanda. "So what's in the third box?"
Amanda opened it revealing another silver choker with saphire drops of water. "They're a set. One fore each of us."
Kate gently took the third choker from Amanda and nudged her shoulder. amanda turned and Kate put the necklace on her.
Kissing her neck after she clasped it. "Thank you!" She kissed her again and let her stand up.

Amanda looked into Kate's eyes while Carla stared as if she were watching the best part of a romance movie,
but the moment was interrupted with a screech and a honking came from outside.

"Well, I assume Ivan is here." Carla looked as if the 'to be continued' just flashed across the television screen
durring the hot part of a soap opera scene.

The only other reason this chapter was overdue, i had some school stuffs to deal with.
