The Younger Seishi
Title: The Younger Seishi
Author: Jigoku no Miko
Author’s Quote: Failure is not an option
The two younger boys looked up at the blonde man feeling threatened.
“Who are you!?” The boy with darker blue hair yelled.
“Have you come to steal our priestess as well!?” The blonde one questioned.
“Let’s go Hatsui!!”
“Right!” He agreed befroe they charged at Nakago, he, being a ghost after all, disappeared and reappeared on the other end on thsa cliff.
“Why you!!” One of them yelled before they charged at him again. Chichiri intercepted the, punching one boy in the stomach and hitting the other in the back of the neck the two fell unconscious to the ground.
“I suppose I shyould thank you.” Nakago whispered.
“Oh be serious I was saving these two kids no da. They’re still so young, Tomo what the hell are you after? What are you doing involving celestial warriors this young?” Chichiri demanded looking at the man pissed.
“Never mind that! Your souls are wandering the earth, I’d better make sure you rest in peace.” Tasuki yelled pulling out his tessen and glaring at Nakago.
“Well isn’t this a problem. For my own sake I better take care of this quickly and disappear.” Nakago stated before fireing one of his little telepathic blasts and shattering the earring and clam shell Tomo had been holding. Tomo stared at his hand unbelieving.
“Shi-shin…!” He whispered with wide-eyes. With the shin destroyed the spell that had been placed upon Yui had been broken. Blinking a few times she fell to the ground.
“Yui-sama!” Suboshi yelled before catching her. “Yui-sama! Yui-sama!” He yelled repeatedly trying to wake the girl.
“Tomo.” Nakago grolwed getting the mans attention.
“N-Nakago… I…I was just…” Tomo stuttered.
“I think I understand your intentions. Go now!” Nakago yelled before Tomo bowed to the man and disappeared.
“Hey! He ran away goddamn coward!!” Tasuki yelled pissed that he didn’t get to fry Tomo.
“There’s something I wanted to ask you.” Chichiri whispered from where he stood behind Nakago.
“NAKAGO!!” Tasuki yelled, if he didn’t get to fry Tomo he sure as hell wasn’t going to let Nakago get away. (AN: Typical)
“Hold on a second Tasuki!” Chichiri waved his hands back and forth trying to stop his friend.
“Like hell I’m gonna miss a chance like this! REKKA—“ Before he could finish the words to fire Taiitsukun grabbed his hand.
“He said to wait didn’t he? Honestly you have no patience at all!” She yelled before Tasuki turned to look at her and began screaming.
“Bikudsa! Bikudsa! I think my heart stopped for a moment! Would you say something before popping out like that?” He yelled holding his chest, Taiitsukun took his tessen and smacked him over the head before Tasuki fell to the ground. Taiitsukun turned back to the other four.
“Chichir! You too Suboshi! We need to talk. I’d like you to stay too.” She turned and looked at Nakago out of the corner of her eye.

“It was you and Miaka who broke the legends 100 year cycle. When you both appeared in the world at the same time as priestesses and the battle between Seiryu and Suzaku occurred. And there was also still a medium which strongly connected both worlds.” Taiitsukun explained before yui chimed in who was still being held by Suboshi.
“my earring you mean?” She whispered.
“It wasn’t Yui-sama’s fault! Remember who put in the shin in the first place?” Suboshi yelled before Taiitsukun eyed him annoyed.
“No one’s blaming Yui you idiot.” She growled.
“That’s right no da. If you bring all that up the one thing that bring’s our two worlds closest together is…” Chichiri started before looking down to Tamahome who was luing in Tasuki’s lap.
“Come on! Can’t you break this spell he put on Tamahome?” Tasuki questioned looking up at Taiitsukun.
“It’s kodoku. The world he was showing Tamahome may have been an illusion but the kodoku in the wine was real.” Nakago stated as he looked out over the mountains with his back to the others.
“What did you say?! Oh, is that all? No problem than, Tama’s beaten kodoku before, it’s nothing serious.” Tasuki stated optimisticly while Nakago rolled his eyes subconsciously.
“I wonder about that. That time before he only took one dose, and this time… the more kodoku you take the stronger it is.”
“Shut yer mouth! I’m sick of you and Suboshi! If you keep pissing me off I’ll send you back where you belong!” Tasuki glared at both men before Yui shook her head.
“Stop it! it was me. I stole “The Universe of the Four Gods”. I’m the one causing everyone to suffer. I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” Yui cried out crying before Suboshi held her tighter.
“Don’t blame yourself, we all know none of this was your fault. Tasuki calm down a little.” Taiitsukun gave Tasuki a warning glare that said another outburst and your shishkabob. Tamahome, who had been lying strewn across Tasuki’s lap groaned a little before gtritting his teeth together.
“Tamahome! Speak to me! Your alright now! Grandma what do I do? Tell me what I should do!” Tasuki yelled to Taiitsukun, she looked at Nakago out of the corner of her eye hoping he would tell them.
“If there is something we could do I’d like you to tell me.” She whispered but Nakago kept his back to them.
“I would if there was, I have no intent of bothering you now… however his swallowing the kodoku and falling under Tomo’s spell was due to his own weakness. I owe him no help. I just came back to get an item I lost.”
“You’re leaving now?” Chichiri whispered.
“You expected me to help you fight?” Nakago asked rhetorically.
“Fight?” Tasuki echoed.
“did I misjudge you?” Taiitsukun whispered to herself before Nakago looked up into the other direction.
“Somethings coming.” He stated before a large purple orb came rushing towards them and incased Yui in a purple glow, she screamed out in pain.
“YUI-SAMA!!” Suboshi yelled into the dead of night.

*BANG, BANG, BANG*
Tetsuya pounded on Keisuke’s door as hard as he could.
“I’m coming, I’m coming yeesh.” Keisuke huffed before opening the door, Kana right behind him.
“Keisuke!!” Tetsuya yelled running in the apartment,
“Calm down! What’s the big panic?!” Keisuke questioned from where he was backed into the table behind the door, Kana stood there looking at the man confused.
“It was there! It was there!!” Tetsuya yelled over and over before Keisuke put his hands on his friends shoulders and looked him dead in the eye.
“What are you talking about?” He questioned calmly before Tetsuya pulled “The Universe of the Four Gods” out of his coat and showed it to Keisuke.
“The book…” Before he could get another word out the book flew out of his hands and floated in the air. Kana, who had been watching from a couple feet away was suddenly surrounded by a white light. The book which was floating above them opened, the same white light emitting from it.
“Byakko?” Keisuke tilted his head in confusion before Kana disappeared and all that could be heard was her screaming his name.
“KEISUKE!!”
*****
“I shall take the priestess.” A dark voice came from overwhelming, defening shadows. A tall man with long purple/silver hair stood behind Yui, he was anlarged by power making him seem gigantic compared to the others. Yui was in a small purple orb in front of him, his intentions upon her were still unknown.
“Let Yui-sama go!!” Suboshi yelled defensively.
“Who are you? What the hell are you after!” Tasuki yelled with his normal charm.
“To throw the four gods into confusion and take over the entire world. Is that right?” Taiitsukun answered for the… man.
“You make it sound so simple. Do you know what “taking over the world” really means?” The… man… questioned with a mocking tone.
“So the devil thinks he can sit on the throne of heaven does he?” Tasuki whispered unfolding his tessen.
“Devil… such a distasteful word. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is…”
*****
“…Tenkou.” Keisuke read from the book the words out of the creatures mouth. “The guy Nakago once served.” He pointed out.
“So Yui isn’t just the fifth Miko but also the one making Takiko disappear. She now really is the Genbu no Miko.” Tetsuya whispered from the kitchen where he was pouring a glass of water. “If this guy has this much power he’s still a major threat to us right?”
“He still isn’t fully released.” Keisuke reassured his friend before going back to his reading.
*****
“Nakago… I’m willing to overlook your interference with Tomo. What do you say? Will you work for me again?” Tenkou whispered to the blonde man who still stood with perfect posture. (Don’t you hate that about him?)
“I’m afraid I must decline. Having you give me some strangers body just so I can experience death again just doesn’t appeal to me. If you’ll excuse me, you’ll never see me again.” Nakago stated with a petty tone.
“Why’d you even show up here in the first place?” Tasuki growled.
“I wanted to see my old friends the Suzaku seishi again. Isn’t that reason enough?” With that last statement Nakago disappeared.
“BULLSHIT!” Tasuki yelled into the air as he shook his tessen to the sky.
“You know you’re as loud mouthed as ever.” Nuriko growled holding Tamahome in his lap. “What happened to Tamahome?” He questioned.
“Oh, on top of everything he’s hopped up on kodoku.” Tasuki rolled his eyes looking at the ghostly man in front of him.
“Oh jeez the big jerk.” Nuriko rolled his eyes.
“This is no time to be fooling around.” Mitsukake stated from behind Tasuki.
“That’s right you shouldn’t make light of how powerful kodoku is.” Chiriko added before Tasuki went pale.
“Minna what are you doing here?!” Tasuki whined confused by the sudden appearance of his ghostly friends.
“The Suzaku seishi must gather where the priestess appears.” Hotohori explained.
“The Suzaku… no Miko.” Suboshi whispered in wonder before the familiar red illuminant of Suzaku’s powers appeared with Miaka in it.
“Miaka!” They all yelled at the same time.
“Guys I won’t let him get away with this!” Miaka swore looking around and spotting Tamahome.
*****
“Where the miko appears her celestial seishi appear, and it was for this that Tenkou… was waiting for.” Keisuke gasped as he read the words aloud for him and Tetsuya.
