Robots, Games And Chocolate

In the bedroom Matt reached out to cuddle Near only to grab a handful of cold sheets “Near”.. Sitting up looking around yawning and rubbing back of his head. Matt got up and stumbled into the hall walking to the bathroom.

On hearing the noise in the hallway Near called into the kitchen. “Matt is awake and would like his breakfast please”
Halle popped her head round the door. “I’ll make it now”

Matt came into the room a few minutes later and spotted Near in front of the sofa solving one his many Blank puzzles. Matt mumbled a “Morning” before laying on the sofa and laying a hand over Near’s shoulder.
Near gave a brief smile before continuing work on his puzzle again.
Halle came in carrying 2 Mugs of tea placing them down in front of Near before nodding to Matt “What does he want for breakfast”
Near glanced up at her the over his shoulder to Matt “What do you want for breakfast before i tell her to cook what i eat.”
Matt responded without opening his eyes 4 Bacon and 2 toast” He paused before adding “Please”
Near said “teas ready” While going back to solving his puzzle.
Halle raised an eye before returning to the kitchen to start cooking.

After breakfast was finished Halle and Rester had gone downstairs.
Near relaxed slightly, Matt came up behind Near hugging him into his chest. “You ok cutie.”
Near nodded “We had better get to work so we can rest later..”
Matt smiled and kissed Nears head “What’s my orders” He asked winking.
“Go through all the boxes and set them up, We also need to put security on all computers, phone lines and the garage and entrance to this place.”
Matt laughed then replied “Well i should do computers first as security will be easier to do with them set-up”
Near nodded “I have something to sort out.” Standing up he grabbed a glass of water making his way to the bathroom.. Matt gave a curious look before setting to work opening the boxes.
Near was frowning as he returned from the bathroom with a now empty glass. He placed it on the kitchen counter before grabbing a box full of files and a lap top, He climbed onto the sofa and watched Matt as he waited for the lap top to start up.
Matt was arranging various monitors and the wires that was leading from them.

Several hours later Rester knocked and entered. “Near, Halle was getting worried as you both missed lunch and wondered is you wanted dinner yet”
He paused and took in all the screens and keyboards, All switched on showing various programmes that were been run. “Near i am pretty hungry now that he mentions it.” Matt said from in front of the computers where he was performing various system checks... Rester nodded his head “I’ll ask Halle to help with dinner won’t be long.” he said walking back out of the room.
Near stood and walked to Matt “Is everything sorted then.”
“Yep all security cameras, New codes and systems installed all wired and ready to go.”
Near nodded a slight frown on his face. Matt pulled Near making him straddle his lap. “You ok? You’re quieter then normal.... and that’s quiet”
Near buried his head in Matts neck nodding as replied “A lot of things to do and sort out.”
Matt sighed heavily “You’re not alone any more Near, You have me, and them lot downstairs to order around. Don’t take everything on yourself ok”
Near pulled back and smiled and leaned closer to Matt kissing him lightly before pulling away as the door was opened. Revealing Halle carrying a tray with 2 covered plates on.
Eyeing them with a confused look Near climbed off Matt’s lap.
“Dinner” Halle said putting them on the now clean dining table “Theres another kitchen downstairs”
Near nodded and sat at the table, with Matt joining him a few minutes late.”Thanks Halle i’m starved”
“It’s ok...” She bent and whispered into Nears ear “Have you taken you meds yet “
Near frowned and stood up from the table “Excuse me” he wondered down the hall and into the bathroom.
He returned a few minutes later and sat back down. Matt had already begun eating his own dinner, he lifted his head and gave Near a concerned look. Shrugging it off Near began to eat his own dinner.
By the time they were finished Halle, Rester, and Gevanni were back in the room sitting on the sofa talking amongst themselves.
Near looked at them for a moment before speaking up “As you can see from the new computers, Theres some other changes. such as different security and more cameras in here.. and as there’s someone in here 24/7 no-one can now enter the building or garage without someone from in here letting them in”... Picking up a small stack of files handing it to Halle “Halle this is everything i’ve gone through today and a list of things i need you to get me and things i need you to look into, Rester as you’re the one who will spend most time with me, Matt will show you how to use the new system and finally Gevanni. Please inform those downstairs of the changes to security please can you do the things in here” Hands Gevanni a smaller file.
They all nodded and when Near didn’t speak any more but instead turn to Matt, they stood and left to do they’re respected jobs. leaving Rester standing and waiting for Near to finish talking with Matt.
“Matt show Rester the basics of the new system then we can rest for a bit..Please”
Matt smiled and pulled Near into a kiss “Of course i can”
Near had a slight blush on his cheeks as he made his way to the bathroom turning the shower on and began to strip from his clothes.
Rester watched as Near walked away not commenting on the kiss he walked to the computers and listened as Matt began to explain as much as he could.

Near showered slowly relaxing as the water washed over him. After finishing in the shower, Near stepped out and dried off before wrapping a large towel around himself and made his way to the bedroom. Climbing onto the bed still in the towel Near laid down and closed his eyes resting while waiting for Matt to finish up.
By the time Matt had finished explaining the basics and answering all the questions Rester had it had been 2 hours since Near left. “Shit, Nears been waiting this long.”
Rester gave a small smile “I think i got it ... We’ll try not disturb you. After all Near was up early.”
Matt nodded and practically ran down the hallway to their shared bedroom. Opening the door “Near sorry it ....” Matt stopped at the sight on the bed.
Near was lying wrapped in a large white towel curled up fast asleep.
Matt smiled and stripped to his boxers and climbed into bed, Pulling the cover over them before spooning into Near. Whispering a goodnight before closing his own eyes for the night.
Matt woke to Near stroking his chest. “Interesting way to be woken”
Near blushed and hid his face in Matts chest “I woke up, I didn’t mean to wake you.”
“It’s fine” Matt lent down tilting Nears head up kissing him, before pulling back yawning.
Near smiled “Lets go back to sleep.”
Matt nodded and laid back, Near lay his head on Matt’s chest as he felt Matt begin to stroke his hair. Near yawned as he started to drift back off to sleep.

When Near re-opened his eyes he was surprised as it was light outside.
Matt was still fast asleep. Near bent down kissing him before dressing and going out to the main area.
Rester was at the computers and stood as he saw Near coming into the room. “Morning sir. I’ll make a drink. Oh Halle asked for you to call her when you awoke. and Roger from Wammys is expecting a call at some point.” Rester said walking to the kitchen
Near climbed on the computer chair and rang the number for Wammy’s
“Hello Roger speaking.”
“I was informed to call” Near said playing with a lock of his hair.
“Near, I was just checking everything was ok, and that Matt was behaving.”
Near didn’t reply.
“Near...are you there?” Roger asked
“Matt is fine, He’s working hard enough to stay out of trouble and he’s eating.” Near nodded to Rester as he placed his morning cup of tea down. “Was there anything else i can do for you Roger.”
Sighing down the phone “No Near theres nothing else... Keep safe ok”
“As safe as this case allows Roger, After all it’s claimed so many already.” Near said adding a “Goodbye Roger” Before hanging up.
Taking a sip of his Tea before calling Halle.
“Halle sorry i wasn’t around when you first called” Near said taking another sip of his tea.
“That’s fine, I have everything you asked for and about the information i’ve sent some of it as an e-mail.” Halle paused before continuing “But about the other information on this list. Is it to do with Kira.”
Near logged into his E-mails before replying. “Yes and no, The person i’m asking information on is searching for Kira, He’s over emotional and wants revenge for Kira killing someone he cares about.”
“So you need to find him before he finds Kira.” Halle asked still unsure of Nears reasoning.
“No i need to find him, if he happens to find Kira first that’s fine but i must know his actions. and Halle Matt must NOT know about this.”
“Of course Near sir. I’ll see what i can find out. I’ll be back later.” Halle replied before hanging up.
Near placed the headset to the phone down before re-reading the information in the e-mail.
He complied a list and handed it to Rester asking him to go through it before typing at his computer again. silently working.
After about an hour or so Near asked for a drink so Rester stood and started the kettle for boiling and fetched Near a glass of water and all his morning tablets.. Not bothering to look up Near grabbed the tablets and the glass of water. Frowning as he placed the tablets in his mouth pulling a face before swallowing and taking a large drinking of the water.
Rester took the glass away preparing a pot of tea
Near continued working and didn’t notice Matt until he was hugged from behind. Tensing before relaxing into Matts hold. “Working hard this early” Matt mumbled out.
“It’s gone 10am” Near said tilting his head.
Rester placed two Mugs of tea down and his own coffee. before sitting down and restarting his own work.
Matt slumped into the chair next to Near and laid his head on the desk re-closing his eyes.
Near continued working taking the odd glance to Matt.. After a short while Near nudged Matt and reminded him of his tea .... After Rester finished his coffee he went into the kitchen and started cooking Near and Matts breakfast quietly.
Matt sat up grumbling and drinking his tea.. He mumbled something
“yes you can light up only Rester is here.”
Matt gave a half smile and lit a cigarette inhaling and sighing before exhaling.

The rest of the morning was quite slow, Matt was working on hacking into the Japanese police computers. to receive more information on the Kira case.

In the early afternoon Near spoke up. “Hand me the phone Rester”
After handing Near the phone he sat down at a computer next to Matt nodding his head.
After activating the voice distorter Near contacted the Fake L
“I’m glad i had this opportunity the talk with the second L”.. Near said in his deadpan tone, twirling a piece of hair in his finger.
Near listened to the second L before responding with “I Know that you are not the real L, I also know that he died...I know this because I am the TRUE successor to L.” Near almost smiled at the surprised silence.

Matt was busy typing at the computer, smiling at Nears words as he spoke to the fake L in Japan.
As Near continued talking to L for a few more moments before hanging up.
“The police force in charge of the Kira case. Faked L’s death so they could continue receiving L’s support network.”
Rester stood up and handed Near some details. Near looked over the list of names before responding, “Light Yagami, The one major suspect of been Kira is acting under L’s name to catch Kira” Near put the file down and climbed off his chair sitting on the floor, and started working on a Dice tower silently. ignoring the worried glances from both Matt and Rester.
