Chapter 14- not hiding anymore

It was the week after the holidays and everything is going great, yui and I talked about the photo shoot in the school, it will take place tomorrow at 10 in the morning, its Monday today, so she’s just go to school today as nerdy yui and tell the school that she was invited for an advance college exam at the top university in japan and won’t be coming tomorrow. I’m surprised they bought it, I glanced at yui while I was leaning in my locker, she was talking to miaka, I quickly walked away when I saw soi and her cronies approaching. I tensed when she stopped in front of miaka to talk to her, after holding my breath she finally started to walk again but abruptly stopped and looked at yui.

“What do you want soi?” tama who noticed also approached them and stood in front of yui, “nothing I just, I thought I saw something.” She said through narrowed eyes, she flipped her hair and walked away. She stopped in front of me when she reached me. “What?” I asked harshly, but she just smirked evilly and went on her way.

“Yui tadaima” I called as I got home, “okaeri” she shouted and went down the stairs dressed in my long polo shirt. “Are the twins here?” I asked. She shook her head. “Nope, their spending the night in rika’s house, they wanted to hang out with izamo and izumi”

“Listen yui,” I dragged her to the living room and sat her on my lap. “I’m worried about the encounter with soi earlier, did you think she recognized you?” she shook her head and raked her hands in her beautiful long sandy blonde hair. “I don’t really know I’m just as puzzled as I was earlier even miaka and tama didn’t know why, well whatever it is let’s just wait and see” and she let out a breath. “I guess your right from now on I will be keeping close watch on you” I said as I press her closer, cuddling, she scoffed and wrapped her hands on my neck, “haven’t you’ve been watching me ever since I tutored you, you think I didn’t notice?” she chided as she place soft kisses on my lips. I chuckled as I pulled her to deepen the kiss, she unbuttoned her shirt and threw it on the floor, and we made love in the living room.

The next day yui left earlier, she just woke me to say goodbye, and since I can’t sleep anymore I decided to follow soon.

When I arrived at school, I saw 2 trailers there, media van’s and lots of people, and apparently they heard that there was going to be a photoshoot today.

“hey” a voice said from the back, I spun around to look that it was izamo and izumi, “so tamamo can’t make It so you two are rika’s bodyguards?” I asked them and they grinned nodding. “Onii-san is very busy he’s a doctor, and a lor…. Uh nevermind” izamo trailed off because izumi gave him a sharp look, lor…..lord? Of what? I questioned myself, I shook my head.

It was 10 and the mornig classes were cancelled, everybody is talking about, how pretty yui-sama is, tomo-sama is very hot, rika-sama is a goddess, hotohori-sama is like royalty……blah blah blah, if it weren’t for yui I would have skipped school and went home, but here I am in a tree watching over the photo shoot, students below me can’t see me. I was about to leave and go to the trailer to sleep when soi and her cronies suddenly stooped below my tree.

“Isn’t yui-san your brothers ex soi” soi’s friend with brown hair and freckles said, soi sneered at yui, I tensed.

“yes well my brother was better off without that bitch” she said, I gritted my teeth and fisted my hands and clutch the tree branch hard, to help me control my anger, “I don’t even know what my brother saw in her, if it weren’t for her my brother…….grrrrr…. let’s go blow this off” she said angrily, she turned back to walk but she abruptly stopped and turned around her eyes widened when she looked at yui again.

“no…….no it can’t be, no……” she said, her friends asked her what is wrong, when she turned her hand fisted and face contorted with rage, “I’m going home” she said and ran to her car. Leaving her friends and me dumbfounded, what the hell she noticed on yui, now the feeling of fear is nagging me.

I went inside yui’s trailer to wait for her, tama was there, what the hell, is he doing here? I asked myself. “why are you here tama?” I asked impatiently.

“I just want to talk to yui,” he said nonchalantly. I raised an eyebrow, “why the hell do you want to talk to my wife?” he sneered “relax nakago, i told you I won’t take her away from you again, it’s just that, its soi, I think she called tetsuya, I heard her talking while getting in her car she said that, she’s here come out of hiding.” My eyes widened, “what….but……even so all they know is that yui will only be here for a day.” I said in panic as I sat down opposite tama,

“I saw soi too before she went to her car, I heard her trash talking yui,” I gritted my teeth again “she was about to head back but she turned around and saw something and she started to say no, no, it can’t be.” Tama’s brows were quirked, “do you think we should tell yui?” he asked “i…..” before I could reply yui walked in with rika. “Tell me what?” she said, as she closed the door. Tama and I looked at each other.

“we think soi, told tetsuya that you are here.” Yui’s eyes widened in fear, I stood up and held her, rika’s brows shot up, “but how can he? I think you should take yui home nakago before tetsuya comes, you’ll never know maybe he’s just waiting for you around here, anyway the shoot is actually finished so you can go.” Rika said sternly, rubbing her temples. We nodded I went out first, then yui, slipped into the limo careful not to be detected.

When we got home, suboshi and amiboshi are already there. They rushed to yui’s side, “onee-san are you ok?” yui hugged her brothers. “don’t worry brothers, I’m fine, tomorrow I’ll be back to nerdy yui,” she smiled at them, still feeling uneasy I spoke “are you sure hime?” she looked up at me and nodded “hai”

“hey why are you two not in school?” yui asked sternly. “well we rushed here because izumi told us that soi might have told tetsuya about you being there and we rushed here to make sure your safe.” Amiboshi explained. “besides I have exceptional grades,” suboshi piped in. “yeah right ototo” yui said ruffling his hair. “and thank you, you three, I love you so much, come on lets eat, I’m hungry” she said full of emotions.

The next day at school everybody’s topic was the photo shoot and the celebrities, I really didn’t care, because I’m more worried about yui. And soi didn’t show up in school today, It was lunch time and I can’t eat so much because I’m having this nagging feeling that something is gonna happen bad.

After lunch we were sitting in history class when somebody handed a note to mitsukake-sensei, he read it and went to yui’s table and she stood and went out, I wanted to ask mitsukake-sensei but it seems that its private even tama didn’t hear who wanted her and why.

It’s been 10 minutes and she hasn’t returned yet. I was about to stand up and ask for the pass to look for her when I heard a blood curling scream, my body hairs stood on end. And then I heard it my name.

“NAKAGO”

I stood up abruptly and ran to the voice to yui, I found her in the lockers with a guy wearing a shades, and has dark hair, trying to kiss her, traping her with his hands between the lockers. Kuso my blood boiled and I run so fast in my peripheral vision I can make out tama, tomo and tasuki’s silhouettes running behind. I reached the locker rage filled my head, I saw yui’s eyes had tears and there was fear in them, I grabbed the guy roughly in the colar and threw him hard to the ground.

“STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY WIFE” I shouted as I lash out at him, half of the school was staring, tomo and tasuki stayed at either side of her tama and I stood in front of her, the guy on the floor spit out blood and laughed maniacally,

“your wife?” he continued laughing, then a shrill laughing voice joined him, “see I told you brother, and all this time she’s been on my grasp.”

“you bitch” tomo shouted at her, “oh yes I’ am, did you think you could forever hide under the nerdy look yui, and no one would notice,” she said as she stood next to her brother. “I’ve had my suspicion last Monday when I saw nakago’s earing on your right ear,” she laughed at our widened eyes, and then I saw it again, when yui hongo the model turned actress was having a photoshoot yesterday, but I had to be sure, so I met up with a friend of yours to ask if what I found out is true,”

“That’s a lie,” yui shouted, her teeth gnashing, “none of my friends would betray me,” she said. “Are you sure about that dear?” soi smiled more evily, “then let me introduce you to my informer.” She said, and our eyes widened shock evident on our faces, especially yui’s and tama’s. “miaka, why?” it was tama’s voice, soft, but you can sense confusion, hurt, anger in it, yui was still shaking her head in disbelief, miaka has her face down, but her lips quirked, then she raised her head. Eyes narrowed.

“how does it feel to be betrayed now yui” miaka said, through clench teeth, I wanted to slap her, yui’s face was unreadable, there was hurt, anger, betrayal etched on her face, “i……why……I never betrayed you, what are you talking about, I love you, like a sister.” Yui’s voice broke. Miaka let out a shrill mocking laugh, “then why didn’t you tell me about you and tama before huh?” she chided, “that’s because I was the one who told her not to tell you,” tama piped in. his voice now emotionless. Miaka’s eyes widened.

“miaka look, I loved tama, and he loved me but that was in the past, he loves you now, and I love nakago, you’ve been together for two years now” miaka rolled her eyes, soi was smiling at the scene and tetsuya was just leering at yui, I shifted to be much closer to her, and held her close. I can feel her trembling.

“your right yui he loves me but not as much as he loves you, why don’t you tell them tama, I can always hear you, calling her name in your sleep, you even accidentally called me yui once when we were making out, and I ignored it, but I had enough.” Miaka said almost shouting, tears are on her eyes now.

“why does it always have to be you, I hate you so much yui, I hope tetsuya raped you, then you would have a miserable life, you’re a terrible friend.” Miaka said hatred etched in every word she uttered. I hissed at her, Yui walked away from me eyes downcast and walked slowly to miaka and slapped her hard.

“how dare you say that to me, I’ve been a good friend to you, I gave you everything I have, I can take every nasty things you said to me, but not that one.” She walked to me tears in her eyes. “you are selfish miaka, and I’m sorry for saying this but tama deserves someone better.” Miaka gasped and walked to tama, “I’m sorry tama, I didn’t think I was just jealous, please forgive me,” miaka begged at tama, yui put her arm around my waist and buried her face on my chest I stroked her hair. “I’m sorry miaka, believe it or not I did love you, I tried love you” tama’s voice was emotionless, his eyes downcast. Miaka wailed and left. I felt pitty and anger towards her.

“Well what a touching scene.” Tetsuya sneered. “Now you blonde boy hand over yui to me and nobody gets hurt.” Now I was the one who laughed evilly. “You better get out of here, before I lose myself and kill you, you pathetic vermin,” I kicked him and he crumbled to the ground. “Don’t worry brother we’ll have our shot, but we need to leave for now.” She picked up her brother and led him outside, where a bunch of goons with guns encircled them so they can make an escape. We growled in anger.

“Come on hime, lets go home” I whispered in her ear she nodded timidly and walked out holding my hand. I can feel the eyes of every people in school were on us but I don’t really care. We went inside the limo, that I called and ushered yui inside tomo, tasuki and tama who is still fuming, followed and we drove off to our house, yui still sniffing cradle on my chest, nobody talked until we arrived.
