Shin& GoukanoMegami: Okay I’m a dunce k...I wasn’t really into looking that stuff up, since my last failure at trying to look things up okay. I also don’t want to write ______ test either… Yeah I’m weird, fickle and a whole buncha other stuff.

Aoshi sighed for the umpteenth time in the waiting area. He’d been reading the article ever since Misao had been called. He was also appalled at his actions before hand. He ran a hand through his hair in annoyance at his thoughts. Aoshi dropped the magazine o his lap and closed his eyes taking a deep breath.

Aoshi heard giggling and snapped his eyes open. He almost growled as they pointed and giggled. “You’re pretty handsome.” He heard a female voice next to him. He turned his head to the left. He blinked at the woman, her black hair pulled into a really low ponytail. “Not very talkative eh?” She popped a bubble with her gum.

“No,” Aoshi replied and turned his head back to facing forward.

“A deep voice to go with those looks as well.” Aoshi caught her smirking out of the corner of his eye. “You seem to be worrying over something right?” She ignored the glare sent her way. “Mr. Icy personality, I see.”

Aoshi sighed and kept his face in its mask like always.

“Emotionless to eh, lover boy,” A hand on his cheek, made him turn his head to the left again. His stone colored eyes looking into her baby brown ones. He blinked at her and gripped her wrist firmly yet gently.

“Remove your hand.” Was all Aoshi said as she dropped it.

“Jeez you haven’t changed at all. You don’t even recognize me do ya?” Aoshi stared hard at the girl. “Guess not, I find it funny your in a doctors office, you don’t seem to be sick or hurt.” Her voice seemed to lighten a little.

“Who are you?” Aoshi asked looking to where Misao had gone.

“I’m Liza remember. I was your partner a couple years back. I thought you never forgot a face?” Aoshi blinked at her with a look of disinterest. “Jeez your still the same, glad I got stuck with another…” Liza trailed off as she saw Aoshi’s head snap to the doorway, which led to the other rooms.

“Mr. Shinomori?” He heard a female question. Her hands were on Misao’s shoulders. Aoshi stood and walked toward the two.

“So that’s why you’re here.” He heard Liz mumble. “She you sister?” Aoshi ignored her question as he approached the two.

“How is Misao?” Aoshi questioned in a softer voice, the look on Misao’s face disturbing.

“She’s doing fine.” Megumi mumbled, having to force herself, not to tell the man he was going to be a father. ‘Even with her statement, this man seemed to have an air about him that said she’s mine.’ A smile came to Megumi’s face. “However her knife wound needs to be tended regularly, at least twice a day. That’s all, I have other patients after all. I do ask she come back in two weeks or so.”

Aoshi looked at Misao’s sullen face and nodded at the doctor. Misao walked forward flinching when Aoshi went to wrap his arm around her shoulder. Aoshi put his mask back in place and turned toward the exit. “Lets go Misao,” His voice extremely cold.

“Jeez Shinomori, you could at least show some comfort, she seems to be stricken by the news she heard.” Liza spoke as she passed him. Aoshi threw her a glare as she passed to go back to the rooms.

Misao followed Aoshi soundlessly her eyes downcast and her face still stricken. Aoshi got into his car and slammed the door waiting on Misao, who trudged up to the car and got in slowly. Her eyes met Aoshi’s angry ones and she looked back at her lap.

Aoshi sat on his couch while Misao sat in a chair, caddy corner to the couch. Her knees pulled to her chest. Her eyes were dull, as she seemed to be staring off in space. Aoshi had the paper and a cup of tea in his hand, ignoring Misao, or trying to ignore her.

Misao slowly turned her head trying to see Aoshi, who had the paper covering his whole head. She unwrapped her arms from her legs and lowered one leg from the cushion, then the other. She placed her hands next to her knees and pushed her self to her feet. She walked to where Aoshi was and stood in front of him, her hands folded in front of her.

“Aoshi,” Misao questioned in a weak voice. Aoshi yanked the paper down and met Misao’s gaze with his cool gaze. “Can I kiss you?”

Aoshi’s eyes widened and he blinked. “Huh?” ‘Very articulate,’ Aoshi mused, still blinking at her.

“Please...” Misao trailed off looking around the room.

“Why Misao?” Aoshi was surprised they hadn’t even talked about the night when he’d kissed her.

“Please I’ll...” Misao hesitated. ‘Why am I so nervous?’ “...tell you why I’ve...been so silent.” Misao bowed her head.

Aoshi was unsure of how to answer her. He was interested in why she’d been so silent, but thought better than to ask. Finally Aoshi answered, “Go ahead.” His voice it’s usual tone.

‘Why does that tone make me disappointed?” Misao questioned herself. She watched Aoshi set the paper on the table and sit back on the couch. Misao gulped and leaned forward looking into his emotionless eyes. Misao stopped a hairs breath a way, she took a deep breath and kissed Aoshi. Her arms wrapped around his neck and Aoshi wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer as he responded to the kiss.

Misao found herself in Aoshi’s lap when the kiss was broken. “Thanks.” Misao mumbled, a blush staining her cheeks at the emotion Aoshi had put into the kiss. Misao tried to stand but found Aoshi wouldn’t let her move.

“You said…” Aoshi was cut off.

“I know, but I don’t want to tell you…” Misao gulped as she felt Aoshi’s breath on her neck.

‘Her scent is intoxicating.’ Aoshi thought, as his lips got closer to her neck. He regained his senses and laid his head back against the couch, exposing his neck. Misao sighed as Aoshi backed away, and then licked her lips as she saw his exposed neck. Misao couldn’t think straight after that kiss and placed her lips on his neck.

Aoshi closed his eyes to calm himself, which seemed futile as Misao started kissing his neck softly. A groan escaped his lips as he pushed Misao away. Misao blushed and turned her head. “Sorry it just…”

“Mmm,” Aoshi mumbled trying to calm himself once more. “Now will you tell me?”

Misao sighed and laid her head on Aoshi chest. It seemed so natural to do. Aoshi looked down at the top of her head. He wrapped his arms around her and waited for her to say something.

He heard her sigh several times before she finally spoke. “I’m not sure how to say it, I’m afraid.” Misao wrapped her arms around his shoulders and hugged him tight. “I mean I can’t remember anything for the last couple months and I know I’m missing something big in my life now. Tears filler her eyes and she sniffled. “I want so much to remember the time I can’t.” A sob escaped her and she buried her head against his chest.

“Misao its alright.” Aoshi didn’t feel right saying that, it sounded so automatic. He wasn’t ready for her next sentence.

“NO IT’S NOT!” Misao hollered taking him by surprise. “It won’t be alright until I can remember or someone can tell me what happened. I need to know if not for me, then for…”

“For what Misao?” Aoshi questioned in a calm voice.

“You have to promise you won’t shove me away, I need help to deal with this and to find something.” Misao gripped his shirt as she looked into his eyes.

“Fine Misao. Now tell me what has you all upset.”

Misao buried her head against his chest once more and pulled him closer to herself. “I won’t do anything to it like people will want me to do. I’m going to keep it, no one can make me do anything else.” Misao rambled trying to explain what she wanted.

“Misao, that’s fine.” Aoshi held her tighter unsure how to help her. “Just tell me what you’re going to do that with.” Aoshi stated calmly.

Misao nodded into his chest and them pulled away wiping the tears from her face and sniffling. “I’m going to…” Misao stopped and examined his eyes. “You’re worried about me?” Misao questioned.

Aoshi was getting annoyed she was dodging the main subject. “Yes Misao, I’ve never seen you cry, let alone get this emotional about anything. Would you let me know what it is that’s making you so worried?”

Misao smiled a watery smile and kissed under his eye. “I’m going to have a baby.” A full smile broke out on her lips. Aoshi’s arms fell away from her and his eyes widened. “What’s wrong Aoshi?” Misao knew it was big news but to get that kind of reaction was unexpected.

“Y…y…you…are?” Aoshi stumbled. A vigorous nod came from Misao. Even with how empty she felt she was happy to be having this child.
“I need your help to find the father, since you’re my partner I thought you could help me.” Misao mumbled as Aoshi stared at her. “I at least want to let him know.” Misao smiled as she wiped the last traces of tears from her face.

Ugh I have broken the promise of the lemon in this chapter, because sadly I have no idea where to go from here, so please do forgive me; there shall be another lemon in this story. I just have to build the story up to it wahhhhhhhh it’s frustrating. Anyway this is also really short for the same reason, I have no idea where to go from here. I do know however the rest of the story will move quite fast as I want to end this in 20 chapters. It might turn out to be 25 but I don’t want to do more than that. I have a sequel planed so...yeah more stuff to come. First I got to finish this one though. Well I hope you all don’t mind the shortness and at least like the chapter.
