(A Saiyuki Fanfic)

Thirteen

Raido sat up suddenly from the dream and she looked round the tent her
hand to her face and she saw the fire still going outside the tent and she
pushed the flap back looking at Gojyo as he flicked his cigarette butt in to
the fire, he looked round at her and she just looked down before slipping from
the tent and walking towards the forest.

"Hey priestess"� where are you heading?"�

She then found herself suddenly running.

"HEY!!"� She heard him call after her as she ran, she needed to be away,
she had never had a dream like that before and it disturbed her thoroughly
upset her, part of her conscious in the dream wanted the child, the other part
wanted it dead and she found herself tripping on a root of a tree she hit the
ground her hands stopping her before she just sighed defeated before thumping
the ground angrily.

"�What does it mean? Does it mean my child will be a demon also"� but
those eyes they were like those of pure evil, like it could suck my very soul
from my body"�'

She turned round and pulled her foot free of the root and she stood up
brushing herself down. "It's just a dream it doesn't mean anything, don't act
like a stupid ass."� She tapped the side of her head before sighing.

Raido just started walking away from the area they were camped in and
she heard Gojyo's voice.

"Hey honey, goddamnit Raido don't run off!"� He shouted.

She felt her eyes close for a moment there was nothing but green eyes
staring back at her and she shivered.

"Why green, if it was evil"�"� She mused. "It felt evil, I've never felt
anything so evil before"�"� She searched her robes and she pulled out a packet of
cigarette then lit one up taking a drag.

"Priestess"�"� She looked over her shoulder seeing Gojyo sanding between
two trees and he looked at her. "What the hell is wrong with you? Did those
springs upset you? Because trust me honey they upset us all."�

She looked at away. "I don't think I'd want kids."� She remarked out
loud, "I don't know what I am, what the hell would my child be?"�

"Raido"�"� He kept using her name and when he said it, it actually
sounded like he was worried or he cared for her and she felt him step up behind
her. "It was just a dream."�

"A dream of a child so evil that I don't know if I want to kill it or
not, I'm not like that I could never kill a child or put it through what I went
through, but that's what I felt like in the dream when I looked at it, those
eyes"�"� She looked to the side. "Eyes of a man I killed."� She took a drag of the
cigarette and she just sighed.

Gojyo looked at her. "A man you killed? What did you do before you met
your friends?"�

"I killed and I slaughtered, humans demons alike it was wrong but they
were marked as bad and I clocked up a death toll on myself."� She held her arms.
"One man he was pure evil with eyes of the devil, a green that with a mere look
sucked the souls from innocent people, I haven't thought on him in years, not
until the dream, the child I bore shared his eyes"�"�

Gojyo looked at her.

"I gave birth but it was a miscarriage then it got up and walked
round"�"� She looked up at him. "It gave me chills a terrifying feeling."� She
pushed the hair behind her ear for a moment as she looked away.

"Priestess you have some issues I'll give you that, but it was just a
dream."� He placed a hand on her shoulder and he saw her looking at it and he
just sighed before pulling her up against his chest and he felt her hands touch
his chest her forehead touching his shoulder.

"Gojyo"�not matter what happens I promise I won't forget you okay?"�

He blinked and looked down baffled for a moment. "Huh? Honey"�"�

"I won't forget."� She repeated.

He jus nodded. "Trust me honey I'm not hard to forget anyway. I make
every moment count, in the bed and out of it."�

He swore he could feel her smile. "You're such a pervert"� but I don't
mind"�"� She whispered. Gojyo looked down before tilting her head up to look at
him.

"What are you sick?"� He grabbed her by the shoulders and she just
smiled at him, it was that smile, that Hakkai smile that hid so much sadness,
in ways he hated her because she was like Hakkai and in other ways when they
were around the others she reminded him of Sanzo constantly thumping him or
beating him up for his comments and come ons. "Priestess"� don't give me that
tortured look, it makes me think you want me to kill you."�

"Would you if I turned, if the next demon's blood that got on me
transformed me in to a demon?"� She looked up at him.

"Like hell I'm an asshole like that, if you want to die I'll make sure
you live."� He looked at her.

"So if I said I wanted to live then would you kill me?"� She asked
smiling a teasing smile.

He looked at her. "You like to test me don't you?"�

She smiled again. "It makes me smile more often."�

He slipped an arm round her shoulder. "C'mon we can't be hanging round
out here, as much as you love to kill those demons we can't have you turning in
to one on them."�

Next morning"�

Hakkai gave Hakaryu a pat the little dragon just gave him a squawk in
reply.

"Okay I'll see what we can do old friend."� He smiled and walked up to
Tejas as she was packing away her rubbish.

She turned round chocolate in her mouth and then swallowed the large
block of chocolate, while Fafnir was perched round her shoulders.

"Tejas do you think you could help us out? Hakaryu is having trouble
maintaining a six person jeep, would Fafnir be able to take an extra person til
we reach the town tomorrow?"�

Tejas smiled and looked at Fafnir. Her little dragon just gave a squawk
and Tejas smiled. "Sure!"� She smiled and stood up. "But I wanna travel with you
guys I get to spar with Goku today so on our first stop I wanna do it then!"�
She continued to smile.

Hakkai just laughed. "Oh boy, well I guess that's okay, I guess I can
ask either Sanzo or Gojyo to travel with you guys in a swap."� He rubbed the
back of his neck.

Hakkai blinked as Gojyo was leaning over his shoulder. "I'll do it,
gives me some time to talk to the priestess."�

Hakkai looked at Gojyo and he just laughed. "I figured you'd volunteer.
The way you two were acting last night was the first time I'd seen her actually
happy on this entire journey. Are you finally getting somewhere?"� He joked.

"Well I'm not one to dive in to details Hakkai"�"�

Hakkai laughed. "Really all you do is give details Gojyo."�

Gojyo smirked and stuffed his hand in his pockets. "Oh I know but this
is something between the priestess and myself. I'll go let her know what's
going on."�

Vayu looked at Raido after Gojyo explained what was happening. Raido
just smiled. "Well okay if it helps Hakaryu out that poor thing."�

"Cyran and Gojyo in the backseat of our ride I don't know"�"� Vayu looked
at Raido wearily.

"But I'm going with Gojyo too!"� Sherekhan announced.

"I'll behave I promise."� He just grinned at the two girls.

Vayu let her head drop. "Damnit whatever just so you know if you annoy
me I'll clobber you over the head."� She warned.

Gojyo held his hands up mockingly. "I'll behave I promise."�

Hakkai just laughed as he watched the whole thing and he looked at
Sanzo. "Look at how happy Goku is that Tejas is travelling with us through to
the next town."�

Tejas was bouncing around an also hyper Goku the two of them chasing
each other around.

"Damnit if they annoy me they're both dead."� Sanzo vowed.

Hakkai just smiled. "They should be fine I for one would like to see
how this turns out."�

Gojyo rested in the backseat the only guy in an off road vehicle full
of women and he grinned to himself before looking at Sherekhan as she sat on
the other side of him looking at the scenery, she turned round to him.

"I know a hotel manager in the next town, he runs this really classy
five star hotel and I can see if I can get us in cheap, it'll be my way to
thank you guys for taking us to the next down."� Sherekhan smiled.

Gojyo grinned. "So you mean like hot pools, massages and saunas?"� He
asked.

"Yep everything the works!"� She smiled happily.

"Sounds good."� Cyran remarked from where she sat on the other side of
Gojyo.

Vayu lit up a cigarette as Raido drove. "So you think we'll make it
before nightfall tomorrow?"� She asked.

Raido just smiled. "I think we can make it just in time for breakfast."�

There was silence and Vayu let out a sigh. "This is too weird
travelling without Tejas."�

Raido laughed. "Yeah I know I was expecting one of her hyper cheers and
cries for pancakes every time I mention breakfast."�

"You four must really be close then."� Sherekhan looked at Cyran.

Cyran smiled. "Well it's weird for guys to travel together there is
bound to be a lot of tension male testosterone clashing and all that, but with
us Vayu makes up for all the manliness we need."� She teased.

Vayu turned round and glared at her. "Do you want me to throw you out
of the car? Because I will so help me God if you don't shut up."�

Gojyo just smirked. "There's hardly any difference if you ask me, you
have the angry one the smiling one, the sexy one and the kid"�"�

Raido just laughed. "Oh boy Gojyo"�"� She shook her
head.

Sherekhan looked at Gojyo as he just smiled. "�He seems so happy and
frustrated at the same time when she's around.' She looked at Raido as she
lit up a cigarette as she drove. "�Kougaiji I'll find a way to get her
scripture to you, but"� I can't even see it on her anywhere.' She felt
Gojyo's arm round her shoulder. She looked up at him. "�And a way to remove
Gojyo from the danger of that town, when we get there I have to led him away,
but how"�'

Sherekhan blinked as Raido tossed a cigarette back to Gojyo and he
caught it. "Thanks honey I am running low."�

"No problem, I still got a couple of packets left in my carton, but I'm
definitely going to need to pick some up at the next town."� Raido remarked.

"You both smoke way too much."� Cyran smirked.

Sherekhan smiled suddenly. "I know this great tobacco store high
quality cigarettes at great prices!"� She looked at Gojyo. "I can show you when
you get there"� it's right near my friend's place, she moved there cause it's
close to the supermarkets and the tobacco store."� She offered.

Gojyo grinned. "Sure you wanna show me round this town of yours don't
you?"�

"Yeah I live there actually but me and Kaika were visiting a friend in
the last town, but our ride vanished on us. I really hate reminding Kaika but
she forgets to tie up the dragon a lot we've been through several of them."�
Sherekhan replied.

Cyran looked at her. "This Kaika chick she's your friend right? How
long have the two of you known each other?"�

Sherekhan thought for a moment. "Well about sixteen years, I use to
give her food she was an orphan living on the street"�"�

Gojyo blinked for a moment. "Wait a minute that homeless girl you used
to give half our food to"� that's that babe?"� He looked at her.

Sherekhan smiled. "Yep she got a job when she was ten and moved in to
an apartment block two blocks from our place and mom helped her out too, she
gave her extra money for looking after me."�

"Damn she turned out really hot, but she's older than us isn't she?"�

"Yep she's twenty-six."�

"Daaaaaamn, she doesn't look it. Man, older women huh"�"�

Sherekhan looked at him. "Jien saved her once and since then she's had
this hopeless crush on him."�

"Do you see him much?"� Gojyo asked.

Sherekhan smiled. "Once every so often when he found out where we lived
he came to see if I was okay."�

Gojyo looked at her as she looked down. "He was looking for you too"� To
see if you were okay."�

"Then tell me this why are we on opposite side Shere? Do you know why?"�

"Because Kougaiji took him in, gave him a new life. That's what he
does, he helps us out."� She sighed.

"And whose side are you on?"� Cyran looked at her.

"I don't know I just keep living with the hopes that whatever
transformed the other demons will eventually go away, and things can be as they
used to be."�

"That's where we're headed."� Raido spoke up. "We want to set it right.
I know I do. So I can go home one day. But I can't as a Sanzo I have certain
responsibilities my grandfather did too, he rarely came home only twice in his
entire life, but when he was there, my stepfather couldn't touch me, he
couldn't touch any of us"�"� She looked at the Sanzo party a few meters up a head
of them. "But until then I'm looking for something when I find it then perhaps
I can go home."�

Vayu looked at her as she took a drag of her cigarette. "We're all on
this mission for a reason, it gives us something to live for, just for the
moment."�

"Personally I'm here for all the hot guys."� Cyran remarked with a
smile.

"You would be."� Vayu rolled her eyes.

Raido just laughed. "Just so long as we don't get any details the next
morning you can do what ever you want when we stop."�

~*~*~*~

Kaika and Sherekhan sat together away from the group talking to
themselves on the break. "I can't do this Kaika, I can't hurt them"�"� She pulled
her knees up to her chest and looked at her best friend. "This is my little
brother. Can we just warn them and not let Kougaiji-sama know."�

"I don't know"�"� Kaika sighed. "My guilt is rising the more I travel
with those guys, I don't think I can hide it much longer. Sanzo keeps looking
at me strangely like he's trying to read me."�

"Then we just warn them or steer them away from everything."� Kaika
offered.

Sherekhan ran a hand through her long hair and she
looked at Kaika. "We'll just have to think on it, and once we get there,
explain to them what Kougaiji-sama has done for us."�

"Tejas is Kougaiji's surrogate daughter, you should hear the way she
talks about him, he truly looks after her even though she travels with the
enemy."� Kaika remarked.

"Gojyo is my brother, he's not the enemy, he's family."� Sherekhan
looked up at her.

"I wouldn't know what that feels like, my family was slaughtered by the
humans."� Kaika sighed. "I grew up on the streets and alone until you came
along"� I trust Kougaiji's decision"�"�

"I do too, but I feel like I can't betray Gojyo"� but I can't betray
Kougaiji either"�"� She covered her face. "It hurts to make such a choice."�

"To help the man you love or not, tough choice."� Kaika looked up
skywards. "I would do anything or Doku though"�"�

"Ewwwww that's my brother that's just so gross"�"� Sherekhan looked at
her nose curling up.

"But he's so sweet, and kind and lovely, and he's big and strong and
completely wonderful"�"�

"And you're making me feel completely sick"�"� Sherekhan teased to get a
playful shove from her friend.

~*~*~*~

Raido lay on the grass her hands behind her head
looking up at the sky, Vayu sat next to her reading another one of her many
books she travelled with, while Cyran lay in a bikini on a towel basking in the
sunlight.

"Why you forever want to tan is beyond me."� Vayu looked at her pulling
the hood more over her head as if to hide from the sunlight.

"I'm a Goddess we don't burn, we only tan."� Cyran smiled as she rolled
over in the bikini.

Raido just smiled. "I'm just thankful I can stretch my legs for a bit."�

"Do you want me to take over driving for a bit?"� Vayu offered.

"I'll be okay."� Raido smiled. "I am the only one who can drive out of
us."�

"This is what I call complete and utter bliss."� Cyran murmured to
herself just letting her body soak up the rays of the sun.

Hakkai just smiled as he finished cleaning up the left overs from
lunch. Gojyo sat on a tree stump watching the three women sitting in their
sunspot and Sanzo sat off to the side under a tree. While Kaika and Sherekhan
were in the middle of a girl play fight laughing at each other.

"It's nice to see a smile on her face."� Gojyo looked at his sister and
she play-thumped Kaika on the head laughing before running off.

"Hey get back here!"� Sherekhan laughed chasing her friend, the two did
not act their age that was for sure.

"Well don't tease me you know how I feel about him."� She hugged herself
a blush on her cheeks.

"But it's like the grossest crush in all of the world, it's like ew ew
ew ew ew"� and did I say ewwwwww?"� Sherekhan laughed.

"Get back here!"� Kaika chased her laughing.

"Have you ever wondered why Kaika and Sherekhan haven't been effected
by the black mist Gojyo?"� Hakkai looked over.

Gojyo shrugged. "It skipped me too and the priestess, I'm sure it's
circled over each of us twice."� He smiled seeing Sherekhan tackle Kaika to the
ground the two rolling round laughing as they played about. "But they're pretty
powerful in their respects too. I know Shere is tougher than she looks, and
Kaika, she's something else, like she's not living for herself, but someone
else."�

They watched as Tejas raced past spinning round holding her staff out
and blocking Goku's Nyoibou attack.

"You'll have to do better than that Goku!"� Tejas giggled before phasin
out.

"Oh I plan to!"� Goku phased out also.

"If you ask me it's gotten nothing but noisier round here."� Sanzo spoke
up from where he was sitting his arms crossed his eyebrow twitching as Goku and
Tejas phased past again.

Raido looked at Tejas and Goku and she just smiled. "They get along so
well together."�

Cyran looked over. "They should do they were both very close in heaven,
back when Homura actually cared about living up there."�

"I used to respect him so much."� Vayu looked down. "But something's
happened he's changed."�

Raido shook her head. "No he hasn't you don't know him like I used to,
imagine growing up like I did and then when he was realised from the tower I
was still only young, but I found out he was my older half brother. My parents
never spoke about the incident a forbidden union of a God and a human."� She
pulled her knees up to her chest, "What was it Rule number four hundred and
ninety-seven?"�

"Yeah. Something like that."� Cyran replied. "Those rules are shit
anyway."�

"Says a Goddess who has some major issues following them anyway."� Vayu
looked at her.

Cyran smiled. "Well I don't plan to go back I like it here, I like
being round you guys, you make me actually feel like I'm worth something."�

Raido smiled at her. "Of course you're worth something."�

"Yeah fifty dollars a night."� Vayu teased her.

Cyran laughed and patted Vayu on the head. "Really you should get laid
Vayu you might not be as grumpy."�

"Trust me it won't change her too much."� Raido looked over at Hakkai.
"It's Hakkai alone that has the power to do that, to change her"�"� She smiled.
"Must be nice to be able to fall in love and not worry what everyone thinks,
but me I have to find myself a human to marry"� to dilute this demon blood of
mine in the child that will be to carry this scripture."�

Cyran looked at her and Vayu lent on her shoulder. "We know you like
Gojyo, you can't do anything but yell and hit him, which is so uncharacteristic
of you."�

"Yeah you actually act more like Sanzo round him than our own grumpy
Sanzo wannabe."� Cyran teased.

"You know how tempted I am to kill you at this moment?"� Vayu growled.

Raido clenched her fist and looked away. "He's Kenren that's all it's
just that he annoyed me then and he annoys me now."�

Cyran sighed. "He fell in love with you Raido, and he's fallen in love
with you again. Just give him a chance."�

Raido looked over as Gojyo looked back at her and he winked she looked
away her cheeks heating up. "You know how my grandfather feels about that."�

"He may be back among the living but it doesn't mean you have to listen
to him."� Vayu remarked. "The God of disruption remember?"�

"He didn't disrupt them towards his goal very well now did he?"� They
looked up seeing Gojyo standing over them.

"That's because he's in love with Cyran, if he had ordered them to kill
us all his power alone could have controlled them well enough to do so on the
spot."� Vayu explained.

"So you have a little fan boy that's cute."� Gojyo grinned.

"He's my older brother's best friend I don't do that, not to family.
Even if the stiff of a brother I have gave us his word, its just sooo"� wrong."�
Cyran shuddered.

*THUNK SMASH CRASH THUD*

"Owwww"�"� Goku rubbed his head.

Tejas raced up to him. "Oh Goku I'm soooo sorry are you okay?"�

Goku looked up at her and he smiled. "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!"� He
exclaimed. "You're really powerful!! Hey Sanzo did you see that?!"� He jumped up
and down his arm waving as he pointed at Tejas. "Did you see huh? Huh? Huh?"�

Sanzo's eye twitched. "Yes I saw."� He drawled. "I saw you get your ass
kicked by a girl. Now will you shut up?"� He growled.

Goku jumped up and down round Tejas. "That was really cool, we have to
fight again kay?"�

Tejas smiled. "KAY!"� She glomped on to Goku the hug making the teenager
blush bright red across the cheeks. "You're so cute!"� She grinned holding him.

Gojyo grinned as he looked down at Raido. "Um"� is there something you
need?"� She asked looking up at him.

"Nothing at all priestess."� He smirked.

"He's peering down your top."� Vayu pointed out.

Raido looked down and covered her front up her cheeks heating up. "You
are such a pervert."� She grumbled in complaint.

Gojyo sat down next to her and she looked at him holding her top
closed.

Raido looked at the ground. "�Why is he so persistent? And with me of
all people? I thought he would have moved on by now.' She found her cheeks
heating up.

Sherekhan looked at her brother and sighed. "He never stops."� She
looked on and blinked seeing Hakkai smiling as he stood there behind her.

"It's okay really, we're used to him, but I have to say this is the
first time he's been so persistent Raido does nothing but turn him down."�

Kaika looked up at Hakkai and he smiled at them.

"We'll be heading out in a few minutes."� He smiled before walking off.

Sherekhan looked at Kaika and they looked at each other. "I don't think
I can lead them there, they've been nothing but nice to us."�

Raido stood up and she stretched her legs. "We better get moving
people, can't hang around here all day."�

"It'd be nice though."� Cyran remarked from the towel she lay on.

"SANZO PARTY PREPARE TO DIE!!!"� A voice cried from above them before
lunging down from the trees.

Raido looked at the attacking demons with flat eyes and she pulled out
her gun. Gojyo stepped in front of her and she blinked as his Jakujou staff
shot out its crescent moon blade cutting the demons down in their tracks.

"I take it I'm sitting this one out then?"� She asked.

Gojyo looked at her as she sat down on a tree stump behind him crossing
her legs, he just smiled.

Hakkai fired a ki attack at another charging demon. "It's just for your
protection Raido, you understand don't you?"�

"Check; me not becoming a demon, priority number one."� She smiled.

The two groups fought the demons attacking Sherekhan and Kaika even
pitching in to kill a couple of demons themselves.

Raido watched the two cautiously. "�They're unsure of who their
fighting and weary of who sent them, something is definitely up with those two.'
She touched the beads round her wrist, ready to pull the scripture out, if
things got to out of hand.

"Sssssssssanzo"�"� She heard a male voice hiss from behind her and she
blinked watching the snake like demon slithering through the shrubbery and it's
eyes focused on her. "Your ssssssssscripture my dear"�"�

"You guys never wanted it before."� She touched the bracelet jumping up
from the stump before backwards she went to yank the scripture out when she
felt her back slam in to somebody. "Wha?"� She looked up Sanzo and she frowned,
a few seconds ago he was on the other side of the group fighting his own little
band of demons. "Is it just me or did we get cut off from the others somehow?"�

"It's some kind of magick."� Sanzo explained.

The snake demon lunged and Raido blocked with her arm as its fangs
pierced her skin and she gritted her teeth. "Damnit let go!"� She shook her arm.
"Freak!"�

Sanzo had the banishing gun pointed at its head. "You heard her"�"�

"Hisssssssss."�

*BANG*

The demon shattered in to demon particles and Raido rubbed her arm and
she pulled her scripture out.

"Henka scripture change the location!"�

The scripture shot round them and when it faded away they were back
with the others and the demons were suddenly all shattered in to dust.

"Well that was fun."� Vayu drawled. "Where'd you two vanish off too?"�

"Demon spell, it's nothing."� Raido went through the bag and pulled out
some bandages and wrapped her arm up.

"Hey are you okay?"� Vayu asked.

Raido just smiled. "Yeah I'll be okay lets just get going we can't
waste any more time playing around here."�

Gojyo sat in the back of Fafnir with Cyran and Sherekhan. He looked at
Vayu who was watching Raido cautiously.

"You don't look too well."� Vayu noted.

"I'm okay."� Raido just smiled.

Vayu frowned seeing how pale Raido was. "You've gotten sick"�"�

Raido shook her head. "I've never been sick before"�"�

"You are sick since we started driving you haven't had one cigarette
yet."� Vayu looked at her. "Pull over now. I'll take the wheel."�

"I'm fine"�"� Raido offered.

"Fafnir stop."� Vayu ordered.

"Hyuuuuu!"� The dragon squawked and stopped just before Raido slumped
over the wheel.

"Damnit Fafnir"� I'm fine"�"� Raido breathed.

"Hyuuuuu"�"� The little dragon replied and Raido let out a breath.

"I'm just a little cold that's all"�"�

Vayu put her hand on Raido's forehead. "I sense something."�

Gojyo lent over between the seat and he touched Raido on the shoulder.
"Hey priestess c'mon"�"� She just looked at him and he blinked there was no
violent whack or yelling at him and he frowned. "Damnit honey you're sick. What
bit you?"�

"It was a snake demon. That much I can sense, the venom's passing
through her blood stream fast."� Vayu looked at Gojyo. "Cyran sit up the front
with me. Gojyo let Raido rest in the back."�

Gojyo stood up scooping Raido up and lifting her in to the back while
Vayu jumped behind the wheel and Cyran climbed up front.

Gojyo placed a hand on Raido's forehead. "She's got a serious fever,
damnit how could that happen so fast?"�

Sherekhan looked off to the side before just shrugging.

Vayu looked at her in the rear vision mirror. "�You're trying to warn
us I can feel it, the confliction on whether to tell us or not. Was Raido close
to figuring you out and some lackey's attacked or was it just a pure
coincidence?'

That Night.

Hakkai wrapped up the wound again. "We have to get her medical
attention I can't heal her wound with the poison still in her blood stream. But
the nearest town it's going to be hard to find it this late at night."�

"Well we've changed her to warmer clothes and given her all the
blankets we have she should be cooking in them, but it's not doing anything I
can still feel that she is freezing on the inside."� Vayu sighed.

Cyran looked at the group. "Then I'll lead us to the next town, if she
doesn't get medical help tonight it could be too late for her tomorrow."�

"Cyran"�"� Hakkai looked at her.

"I have my goddess powers just let me use them to get us there, I can
give you light so you can see the road."� Cyran offered.

"Sanzo?"� Hakkai looked to the priest.

He just flicked his cigarette butt off to the side. "We get to the town
as soon as possible,"� He looked at Sherekhan and Kaika but you two tell us right
now what's waiting for us there?"�

"Huh?"� Kaika blinked.

Sherekhan swallowed. "Well it's a demon town that hasn't been infected
by the black mist, just demons live there, it's why we live there, they all
still wear their power limiters too, and they have their free will."� She
explained.

Gojyo looked at Sherekhan. "That's it?"�

"We were afraid you wouldn't take us there when you found out."� Kaika
added.

Hakkai looked at the map. "It's the closest town, we've got no choice."�

"Fine but if something goes so much as wrong I'm vanquishing both your
Asses."� He pointed at them.

"It's okay really it is Sanzo please"�"� Sherekhan looked at him.

He just sighed. "Get in the cars and lets go, she doesn't have much
time."� Sanzo ordered.

"Yes."� Sherekhan pouted as she climbed in to the off road vehicle in
the back with Gojyo and he had Raido lying across most of the seat her head in
his lap and the blankets wrapped around her tightly.

"I'm sorry Gojyo."� Sherekhan apologised.

"It's okay Shere, you had right to believe we would be a bit jumpy.
Just no more surprises okay?"�

She smiled at him. "Okay."�

Author's Note: If any of you have actually read the
Journey to the West story then you'll know that the Sanzo was actually the
weakest of the characters always constantly having to be saved, Raido kinda has
those issues every now and again. ^^; But she's not weak, she can kick some various
ass when she wants to.
