Note:
Hello, I’ve been away for two weeks so during that time there was no way for me to update the story, I’ve been trying to write this chapter as fast as I can but I keep on receiving so many “Please update soon” messages and e-mails that I decided to make something different. So I’ll be posting Division by Division in this round, each one will take around…1 to 3 days to be posted, so it’s better this way.
The order will be:
1- Purple (done)
2- Orange (done)
3- Red (done)
4- Green (done)
5- Yellow (done)
6- Blue (done)
I think the Yellow and Blue ones will kill me but someone had to stay in the bottom =P
Now some info about this round before I get some complaints:
- I set the matches randomly, and the winners were picked by luck, I threw one dice for each player, and the ones with higher scores are the ones that won this round. It’s kinda of unfair but it would be even more unfair for me to chose the winners by preferences.
- You can still add changes to your character, and please those that didn’t send physical descriptions do it before your division starts.
- That’s pretty much all I had to say, but I just wanted to add that if you don’t like something I did with your character or if there’s a mistake tell me and I’ll edit soon (just don’t say: “I didn’t want to lose”, cause that I can’t change =P)
- Oh and that thing bellow the pokemons in the charts (ex: 50 – 80) it’s the minimum and maximum of the pokemons levels.
- Hope you guys enjoy it ^_~ and good luck for the players.

Round 3 – Switch
-------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------
The time quickly went by ever since the winners from Round 2 were chosen and the two day period given to the trainers had finally ended. Most trainers spent their time training and creating battle strategies, some used it to rest and have fun, but only one spent his time laying down on a small hospital room.
Pokemon strikes aren’t normally dangerous towards humans, but according to the doctors, the combination between both powerful attacks created far too much fire damage for a human to handle.
As his friends visited Jack for the last time before the beginning of Round 3 they sadly received the news that he wouldn’t be able to take part of it, not only was most of his body still far too damaged, he still couldn’t speak, let alone participate in a Pokemon Match.
“Sam…?” whispered Vi leaving the room.
“Yeah?” answered the boy.
“I think I should quit…”
“Say what?”
“It’s not fun to go on fighting like this, the new rules allow you enter the League even if your badges were won 5 years before. Maybe I’ll quit and come back next year with him, it’s not fair…”
“Jack would kick your ass if he heard you saying that. Remember the speech he gave me when I was feeling sick? Tell him that and he’ll murder you, and so will I if I hear it again.”
“But…” she muttered.
“No buts, what we gotta do is win this shit for him. He’s already feeling far too fucked up for not being able to go on, imagine if you add extra weight on his conscience for making his friends give up.” interrupted Sam.
“…”
“Attention all players, Round 3 will begin in thirty minutes, please gather in the stadium where the rules for the match will be explained. As you know the Purple Division will be the first one to battle, so all qualified players in this division must bring their pokemons healed and ready for battle.”
“My division is the second one in this Round…you’re right I’ll give my best.”
“That’s the spirit!”
“Cause even if I lose I’ll join Jack next year, so no big deal!”
“Idiot.”
“Who are the unlucky victims to go first? I saw it but I forgot…” joked the girl walking towards the stadium.
“Let’s see…” said Sam opening the pamphlet with the Third Round matches.

“…Gabriel and Ross? Aren’t those the guys Jack almost started a fight with?” he asked.
“Yeah Gabriel is the blonde guy with the Blissey t-shirt Jack began to make fun off and Ross is the British guy that tried to calm them down.”
“Oh yeah I remember, instead of backing away that idiot began to mock the guy’s accent, in the end they both wanted to kill him. I’m actually surprised it took so long for someone to put that retard in the hospital…”
“Not funny.” she complained.
“Come on let’s hurry up now, I don’t wanna miss the rules.”
“Oh relax you’re in the LAST match of ALL. You’re so anal.”
“Being prepared for upcoming matches isn’t being anal, it’s being smart.” calmly said a familiar girl walking towards them.
“Keira.” said Sam still upset of what she had done to his friend.
“Where the hell have you been sis? You blow up Jack and then disappear from the face of the Earth?”
“I…I’m sorry…I needed some time for myself…how is him?”
“He can hardly move and his throat is too burned to speak, great huh? The doctors are even surprised he didn’t die when he swallowed the flames.” answered Sam.
“I’m sorry…”
“Don’t apologize to us, apologize to him.” said Vi.
“If you really are a champion than you should have known battles are not wars, a real trainer knows how to control his pokemons strengths and doesn’t need to use murderous amounts of power to win.” complained Sam passing by her quickly and walking away upset.
“…”
“I know you didn’t mean it sis, but what’s done is done, at least go talk with Jack, I need to go now.”
“Good luck Vi.” she said with a saddened voice.
“Good luck too, you’re also gonna need it.” said the girl walking away.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Several minutes later in the stadium almost all contestants had already arrived, and right on time both hosts for the round appeared to finally reveal the rules. Many viewers were already seating in their chairs, but the matches were only going to begin half an hour later.
“Hey there dudes and dudettes, my name is Flint and this four-eyes here is Lucian. As you probably should know we’re part of the all mighty Sinnoh Fantastic Four. Yeah I bet you wish you were one of us, but you’re not, and that’s why you’re all here!” he mocked.
“Hello trainers, like he *so inadequately* said, we are both part of the Elite Four from Sinnoh and we were invited to host this round. Is everyone here already?” asked Lucian.
“My adversary isn’t here yet! But he got pretty damaged in the last battle so I don’t think he’ll come. Do I instantly win?” asked a short girl from the Green Division with fiery red hair blackened on the tips.
“Yes, your name is Akita isn’t it? If your adversary doesn’t arrive before the first match you pass to the next round.”
“But it’s not fair! Why can’t you people reschedule their battle for another day?” shouted Vi.
“I’m sorry babe, but this is a big event, we can’t make everything upside down for one dude. But chill he has five years to challenge the league without having to collect the badges again.” answered Flint.
“Five years? Nah I rather do it now.” said someone entering the stadium.
“JACK??” shouted his friends.
“Hey there, what’s up you look like you’ve seen a ghost.” joked the wounded boy.
“Half an hour ago you couldn’t even speak how is it possible…?” asked Sam.
“Yeah well miracles happen! I’m here so let’s get this over with, what are the rules??” shouted Jack at the hosts after blinking at Vi who couldn’t stop staring at him in disbelief.
“Very well then. Listen to me carefully, this round will be made by simple best 2 out of 3 matches...” answered Lucian.
“That’s it??” asked someone.
“…but there’s a catch. Show it Flint.”
“See this black ball in my hand dudes? This is a Ball Capsule, as you should know they are used in contests to make your pokemons have flashy cool entrances or whatever, but for this round they’ll have a different purpose.”
“Yes, before each match you must hand us over your pokemons and we will insert their pokeballs into this black capsules, this way you wont be able to distinguish them.”
“And we glued some cool smoke seals to make the suspense even sweeter when you throw the balls!” added Flint tossing the ball into the floor unleashing a cute Lopunny among the released smoke.
“What’s the point?” asked a player from the Red Division.
“The point? The point is to see how you trainers react without a battle plan, because you see, you will only be able to play with 3 of your pokemons, and their choice will be completely random, all the strategies you guys formed to defeat your opponent will be utterly useless unless you’re lucky enough to throw the correct balls.”
“Seriously…can’t we for once have a normal round?” asked a girl from the Yellow Division.
“Where’s the fun in that honey?” joked Flint.
“There are other rules you should know, you can use any items or potions of your choice, but you cannot switch pokemons after they enter the arena until you win or lose, if you don’t want that pokemon to battle you will have to accept a defeat and toss the next Capsule.” added Lucian.
“That sucks!” shouted someone from the Green Division.
“Oh come on, you can’t seriously expect to reach the end of this League depending on type advantage, we want to see you kids kick ass using the true power of your pokemons, not some over-compensating strategies.” said the host with fluffy red hair.
“There’s still some minutes before the beginning of the round, use them wisely.” finished Lucian sitting on a bench.
“Jack! How the HELL is this possible?” shouted Vi.
“I don’t know…like I said it must be a miracle!” he said grinning.
“Yeah…right…” she mumbled suspecting something, “…let’s just find seats and watch the Purple Division battle”.
~*~*~*~*~*~
“Welcome ladies and gentleman to the Hoenn Pokemon League on this beautiful day. We will now begin the Third Round starting with the Purple Division.
Each match will be decided by 2 out of 3 matches were the trainers will randomly chose their pokemons, being only able to switch them after a victory or a defeat. So let’s get this started!
Please give a big welcome for today’s hosts FLINT and LUCIAN from the Sinnoh Elite Four!”
“Helllooo everybody!!!” shouted Flint.
“It’s great to be here in this beautiful region, but now with no further waste of time let’s bring on the first two contestants, Flint what can you tell us about this two?” asked Lucian.
“Well ok Lucy, let’s see…Gabriel Morris comes from Viridian City in Kanto, he won various badges from that region but did not enter the League, apparently he changed his mind and is now here seeking for the Champion title.
On the other side of the field is Ross Cooper, this boy came a long way from London but is now living in Petalburg City. From his set of pokemons we can see that he doesn’t depend on evolution to gain victories. I bet this is gonna be a great debut battle, I can’t wait for this two to start.”
“Very good, I just wanted to add that the Purple Division will be battling on a Grass Field, and now as both players approach the arena let’s give a round of applause for both starter players *And Flint you better not call me Lucy again*.
“HEY BLISSEY BOY WHERE’S THE T-SHIRT??” shouted Jack from the Green Division bench.
Gabriel madly turned around and answered only by taking off his division t-shirt revealing a white one underneath with a large picture of a Blissey in the centre, and as he lifted his goggles to the top of his messy blonde hair he finally took his place in the arena.
“That’s the spirit mate, don’t let that bloody fool upset ya.” cheered his opponent.
“Good luck.” said the young man, focusing his mind on the task ahead.
“You’re the one who’s gonna need it lad.” answered the dark haired contestant throwing the first random Ball Capsule.
“And it seems the first pokemon we get to see here today is a Charmander! Let’s see who he’ll be up against!” announced Flint.
“It’s a Flygon, apparently our first battle will be a Dragon VS a Dragon.” said Lucian staring at the pokemon coming from out of the smoke.
Most viewers thought the small Charmander didn’t stand a chance against such a powerful opponent, but for their great surprise he put up a great fight. After setting most of the Grass Field on fire he concealed himself among the flames and smoke attacking the flying Flygon that seemed unable to spot the small dragon. However, in the end the large Flygon ended up knocking out his opponent with a powerful Earthquake attack, giving Gabriel the first victory.
“Bloody ‘ell…come on out! Whoever you are…” shouted Ross tossing his second ball.
“It’s a Dragonair! Damn I guess today must be the national Dragon Pokemon day.” joked Flint
“Now it’s up to Gabriel to decide if he wants to keep his Flygon or try tossing a new ball, I must remember that it doesn’t matter how many pokemons you keep, it’s the amount of victories you gain, after each victory it’s up to the trainer to choose keeping a tired pokemon they already know, or sending in a random one.” explained Lucian
“Gabriel chooses to keep his Flygon, he better have a plan cause his pokemon took a lot of attacks from the first battle!”
The battle was very long and exciting, both pokemons had high levels of experience and great defences, but unfortunately for the Flygon nobody could anticipate that his opponent was able to use Psychic moves, which helped to take down his tired opponent causing a tie up among the players.
“That’s ok, you were great Flygon! Take a good long rest. Go Pokeball!” shouted Gabriel filled with adrenaline.
“Oh look! It’s a Blissey! I’m guessing from his t-shirt that this is his best pokemon, let’s see what Ross will do, a Dragonair wont have any special advantage against this pokemon and he’s pretty tired, but if tosses a ball and gets a weak pokemon it might be his end.” said Flint excited.
“Ross chooses to take back Dragonair and toss a new ball, let’s see who came out…it’s a Primeape. He made a good choice, with this pokemon he has the advantage since Blissey’s are weak against Fighting Types. However, Gabriel seems to be smiling, he probably has something up his sleeve.” commented Lucian.
The battle began by a series of quick attacks from the Primeape, but after several kicks and punches the Blissey seemed to be almost undamaged keeping on healing itself with Softboil moves, and even after using a Hyper Potion to raise back his pokemon’s HP and fiercely attack again Ross still couldn’t take down his opponent. The battle ended up after the Primeape was paralyzed with a Thunder Wave and unable to escape a powerful Seismic Toss.
“Well people it seems we have our first finalist, Gabriel congratulations we’ll be seeing you again on the next round, Ross it’s a shame losing such a great contestant but you already gain a medal for reaching so far, it was an incredible battle, please come back next year!” congratulated Flint.
“And now, let’s move on to the second match, both contestants please approach the arena quickly. Meanwhile I’ll present both of them.
Our first female contestant is called Grim, even thou she may not look like a girl at first sight don’t be mistaken by her looks, this young lady is also a very balanced trainer, having all of her pokemons with the same level of experience.
Mark Theodore Martin, also known as Yami, comes from Ecreutek City, his family owns a Breeding Centre and he already won on the Orange League. Show us what you got kids.” introduced Lucian.
“I think this is gonna be an interesting battle.” softly said Vi trying to break the ice in the Orange Division bench.
“Yeah…I just hope Grim’s pokemons are in good shape now.” said a young man with messy red hair being hold by a black bandana and an eye patch over his right eye.
“What do you mean?” asked a blonde girl with dark streaks.
“I met her when I was training in the forest, she was making some food for her pokemons, they didn’t seem very happy about it, no wonder, a few minutes later I had to help her carry them to the Pokemon Centre with indigestions. She may be a good trainer, but I’m guessing she’s a terrible chef.” he answered.
*everyone laughs*
“My name’s Jephry by the way.” mentioned the boy.
“I’m Vanessa, but call me Vi.”
“I’m Ava, and I’ll be your opponent in this round Jephry.” answered the blonde girl.
“If we’re all introducing ourselves, I’m Kamon, nice to meet you all.” said a young man in the end of the bench with short spiky red hair and a fairly tan skin.
“And my name is Sariah! I’ll be fighting you Vi!” said a snobbish girl with long black hair all the way down to her ass.
“I’m Bren and I’m sad to say I’ll have to defeat all of you…I don’t really know who I’ll be fighting in this round but that doesn’t matter, I’ll win anyways.” declared a ninja like handsome boy.
“You wish.” stated Ava.
“Didn’t you get the pamphlet with all the matches? Here check mine.” asked Vi handing over the paper.

“Damn I don’t really enjoy defeating women, but thank you so much for showing me this, may I return the favour by paying you dinner?” he proposed bowing politely in front of Vi and returning the brochure.
*blink*
However, upset, Spike came out of his pokeball and took a bite out of the boys behind.
“Spike! RETURN IMMEDIATELY!! I’m so sorry!” Vi apologized while the other players laughed.
“Shh people the battle started already!” complained someone from another bench.
“And now on this second battle it seems Yami got himself an Electrabuzz, while Grim sent out a Jolteon, it’s gonna be a shocking match people!” shouted Flint.
“I’m sorry honey but Evel here will have to send you both back home, show them how much you love me baby, Evel RETURN!” shouted Grim commanding the attack.
“Voltage use Protect NOW!” quickly screamed Yami.
The attack was stopped, even thought it send the Electrabuzz back by the power of the impact. During the battle both players tried using their most powerful attacks, but unfortunately none of them seemed to make any serious damage, electricity against electricity is never an easy battle. In the end, the battle was won by the same strategy used first, however this time the Electrabuzz wasn’t able to stop the Return attack, fainting on the ground and giving Grim the first victory.
“Told ya *blink*” she joked.
“You wont be so lucky the next time.” answered her opponent adjusting his sunglasses.
“The first victory went to Grim, but now let’s see which pokemon she’ll have to fight next…
….it’s a Crobat, that was Yami’s starter pokemon, it seems luck really did turn over, let’s see if Grim keeps her Jolteon or tries a new one…she tossed a ball…
….a Ninetales comes out, let’s see how this goes.” reported Lucian.
The battle was long and exhausting for both pokemon, Dracula the Crobat avoided all fire attacks using his speed, but Baby the Ninetails also escaped most of his opponents strikes by digging into the ground. The battle was decided not by a knock out attack, but by poison damage that led the Ninetails to faint before his trainer had time to cure him.
“Baby come back, you were awesome.” mumbled Grim to her pokeball before throwing a new one.
“Uuu a Blastoise, I’d take back Crobat if I was Yami, he’s far to tired for an opponent like this, but then again, I’m not him!” joked Flint.
“And Yami does take out his pokemon and throw a new one…a Graveler, not a very good opponent against a powerful water type, luck has turned again .” spoke Lucian.
The match was far quicker than the last one, Hard Rock the Graveler did all he could using Rollout attacks to escape water strikes and attack his opponent, but unfortunately Dalle the Blastoise had a very developed defence, taking little damage from each strike. A final Hydro Cannon decided the battle moving Grim to the next round.
“Damn, it’s a shame to see such a great trainer lose but only one could win, congratulations Grim, you and Gabriel are officially on the fourth round!” said Flint.
“And now it’s time to see who’ll be the last trainer to enter that round, Darian and Cherry please take you’re places quickly.
Meanwhile…Darian Gerold Maria Zanzibar is a former champion of the Indigo League and graduated with great success at the university of Celadon City.
His opponent, Cherry, is a very popular girl and stronger than she looks, good luck for both.” informed Lucian noticing that they were already sending in their pokeballs.
“Little girl I must warn you not to feel upset if this match ends up with your defeat, it’s only natural for the more experienced to gain victory, but a defeat is always a way to earn more knowled…” stated Darian while waiting for the smoke to move away and before being interrupted.
“SWAMPERT MUDDY WATER FULL STRIKE NOW!!” shouted the girl gazing at the arena with her bright hypnotic blue eyes.
That was the quickest battle so far, with one strike Cherry’s pokemon was able to take down her opponent which was still blinded by the smoke and was unable to foresee the attack, it was only after the pokemon got knocked out that the owner was able to notice it was his Arcanine, Lady.
“What the fuck just happened Lucy??” wondered Flint.
“Ok first, seriously don’t call me that, and second, don’t use that kind of language we’re on national television. Now let me explain, apparently because of the wind the smoke that was covering the arena on Darian’s side was already clear on Cherry’s side, so she used that to attack before her opponent even knew which pokemons were on the field. It’s not against the rules.” explained Lucian.
“Very well, if you wanna go rough, I wont take you lightly anymore.” stated Darian sending in a new pokemon.
“It’s an Exeggutor! A Grass and Psychic Type, let’s see what Cherry does…she keeps her Swampert! I’m not sure if that’s such a good idea but it is her strongest pokemon, and in her party the only one that would actually have advantage is her Torkoal, but the odds of him coming out weren’t all that good.” stated Flint.
This match was much longer than the last one, the Swampert tried his best to inflict damage with several types of attacks, however, his opponent didn’t seem to try to avoid them, sitting still on the same place gathering solar energy. It was all over when Seeds, the Exeggutor, teleported himself behind the other pokemon and launched a mighty Solar Beam attack.
“Now that’s a call revenge! Cherry seems upset and throws a new pokemon…a Swellow! Now let’s see what Darian does…
…he removed the Exeggutor and sent in aaaaa….Dragonite! No offence but I’d say this match is pretty much over, but then again, anything can happen!” declared Flint.
Unfortunately for Cherry, Flint was right. The Swellow was faster than the Dragonite and used that to his advantage, striking and running away for several turns strongly damaging his opponent, but that strategy only lasted until Draco, the Dragonite, was able to freeze his movements with a Blizzard attack and finish him off with a Hyper Beam. Still, it was a beautiful aerial match to watch, and the crowd was going crazy.
“Again it’s a shame to see another trainer go home because of bad luck, however, that’s what this round is for, to see people react against unexpected situations and that’s what all the three winners did greatly.” congratulated Lucian.
“SO PLEASE GIVE A HUGE ROUND OF APPLAUSES FOR THE PURPLE DIVISION FINALISTS…GABRIEL, GRIM AND DARIAN!!” shouted Flint excited.
“Please don’t leave your seats because the Orange Division matches will begin soon, we only have to wait for the arena to be changed, so feel free to use the bathroom while we wait.” informed Lucian.
~*~*~*~*~
As the audience continued to cheer for the winners, the three defeated trainers walked along the League’s corridors towards the exit.
Ross stared at his sneakers with his green eyes thinking of strategies he could have used on his battles, knowing that he would never fall for the same tricks the next time.
Yami angrily took off his sunglasses and kicked a can on the floor, he soon relaxed thinking of his future instead of his battle, trying to decide either to come back next year or to become a Government Bounty Hunter and hunt down Team Rocket.
Cherry shouted loudly on her mobile talking about what had happened with her friends, she was determined to come back next year stronger than ever.
“Don’t worry about losing, you wouldn’t want to win is this division anyways…trust me. Go back and come back in a few years, it’ll be safe by then.” said a strange voice coming from the outside of the corridor, and all they could see was a strange human like creature with steel wings fly away quickly.
“What the fuckin’ ‘ell was that?” asked Ross as confused as the other two.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Welcome back, as you may see the Orange Division will be playing on a Rock Field and the first battle will begin shortly after my partn…” spoke Lucian.
“WOW I feel way better now…I’ll never ask for tuna and beans for lunch again! So what’s up Lucy when are we gonna be on the air?” asked Flint jumping to his seat.
“…”
“We…ARE on the air! Here introduce the players that ALREADY entered the arena before you get us both fired!”
“Ok sorry for the delay ladies and gentleman…I had to use the bathroom and..*gets hit in head* OK OK here are the first two players for the Orange Division.
Kamon comes from the Kanto Region and after winning the League there he defeated both the Sinnoh and Johto Leagues. He also refused to take place as a Gym Leader or an Elite Four member to be here competing today. He won in Sinnoh? Yeah..I think I remember this guy! But moving on…
His adversary, Jephry Leorio, is no easy pray either, don’t underestimate any of his cute pokemon, all of them have high levels of experience. Lets see which one of this red heads moves to the next round!” announced Flint.
“GOOD LUCK DUDE!” shouted Jack towards Jephry, recognizing him for being one of the players that visited him at the hospital to see his condition.
“THANKS!” he answered.
“Hey I know one of us has to lose, so lets at least put on a memorable show opening this division.” suggested Kamon.
“You got that right. Go Pokeball!!” answered the adversary.
“Will ya look at that, it’s a Shiny Charizard, you don’t get to see many of those around, let’s see who Jephry will send to fight it…a Wobbuffet comes out, let’s see who wins this. Hey is that Charizard eating bubblegum?!”
The match seemed to be very unbalanced, the Charizard quickly began to attack with Dragon Claw and Bite, while Lenny the opponent hardly seemed to know what he was doing, it was only after Blaze the Charizard stepped on his tail that he fought back…even thou it didn’t seem to do any effect. The battle finished when Blaze attacked with a powerful Blast Burn. However, for everyone’s surprise, she fainted after doing so, making the first match a tie between both opponents.
“Ok…what just happened?” wondered Flint.
“Destiny Bond, the Wobbuffet must have cast it on her when she stepped on his tail, it may not have given Jephry the victory, but this way he took down one of Kamon’s toughest pokemon.” answered Lucian.
“It’s not fair, this should have been my victory damn it! Go second Pokeball!!” complained Kamon.
“I’m sorry but it’s all fair in love and war, Go!” answered Jephry tossing the ball.
“It seems this time Kamon got himself a Nidoking and Jephry sent a Glaceon, if they don’t decide this match in three battles they’ll have to take a fourth, but since Kamon has only 3 pokemon in his possession Jephry would immediately take the victory if that happened, so I suggest finishing the battle quickly.” he informed.
Glacier the Glaceon seemed to be far more serious than the previous pokemon, and was skilful enough to avoid every single attack from his opponent, using the Rock Arena to his advantage, hiding and attacking from behind large stones. But it wasn’t enough to take down such a powerful and experienced opponent, so as soon as Spike the Nidoking finally hit him with a direct hit, the battle was over, giving Kamon the upper hand.
“It seems that if I win this round, I’ll instantly defeat you, it’s a pity you didn’t bring any more party members.” teased Jephry.
“Don’t be so sure about that, after all, I know exactly who my last pokemon is, and you have no idea who’ll be coming out, GO XEN!”
“Ok Kamon sent out his Tyrogue, Jephry seems happy to see Kamon’s last pokemon is such a tiny dude and sends out aaaaa……Jumpluff? Oh man let’s hope the wind doesn’t come back or she might be blown away!” said Flint.
The Tyrogue didn’t think twice before beginning to attack, but it’s hard to hit such a floaty opponent that has resistance against fighting types. Tara the Jumpluff, used Sleep Powder to calm down the little dude and it work very efficiently, but Kamon wasn’t willing to lose so soon and quickly woke him up using a Wakening Potion. The Jumpluff ended up being defeat by a scorching Blaze Kick, and so the first victory on the Orange Division belonged to Kamon.
“It was a good match, congratulations.” said Jephry laughing and smiling.
“Thanks, sorry about having to take you down.”
“It’s ok, I’d rather go down laughin’ than live bored.” he answered shaking his opponents hand.
“Awsome match, let’s hope the next one is just as good or even better. While the next players take place it’s time to tell you a little about them.
Bren comes from Pewter City and trains to become a ninja, while Ava is a tough young lady who’s always looking for a battle. Good luck kids.” announced Lucian.
“It’s an honour to be here fighting such a beautiful young lady, but I cannot back down towards any kind of opponent so be ready.” said Bren.
“Oh zip it and fight me, GO BALL!” she answered.
“Let’s see…Ava get’s herself a Sceptile and Bren will be fighting with aaa…Shiny Alakazam, man there’s a lot of shiny’s here today.”
The battle was long since both fighters were equally matched, Thistle the Sceptile had speed and agility but the Alakazam had power and defence. The end of the battle happened when the Alakazam used Psychic to control the rocks in the field and immobilize his opponent for a final Shadow Ball attack.
“Grr I’ll show you know, GO!!” shouted Ava annoyed.
“Ok Bren choses to change pokemon after seeing that his opponent had sent out a Blaziken, and the pokemon he sent is…a Blaziken! Well folks it seems it’s gonna be a match between two warrior chickens!” joked Flint.
This was the longest battle until now, it was as if they were fighting against a mirror image, none had advantages or unadvantages against each other, and none was able to take down the other. The match ended by fatigue as both pokemon fainted exhausted after so many fighting and fire attacks.
“And again it seems we have a tie…but wait, Bren’s Blaziken seems to be getting up…
…
…it got up. I guess that means Bren wins, it’s such a shame we don’t get to see a third match, if that happened Ava would have had large changes of defeating his Shedinja, but the victory goes already to Bren, congratulations.” informed Lucian.
“It’s not fair…we were so close…” complained Ava.
“Don’t feel bad, it was the best battle I had until now, thank you so much for it.” reassured Bren smiling.
“Thanks…” she said wiping her tears.
“Ladies and gentleman and for the last battle on the Orange Division give a big welcome to this little ladies. Sariah is a skilful trainer specialized in bugs and Vanessa Parker comes from Littleroot Town to specialize herself in canine and feline Pokemon. Give us your best!” said Flint.
Vi could hear both her friends cheering for her loudly, and that made her wonder again how was it possible for Jack to be speaking, but she tried to forget about it and keep her mind focused for battle.
“May the best girl win!” declared Sariah.
“Yeah…”
“Ok let’s see now, a Scyther comes out for Sariah and a Manectric pops out for Vanessa, they are both fierce fighters, so let’s see who wins.” said Lucian.
Her mind began to wonder again thinking how the hell was it possible, she didn’t believe in miracles and there’s no way it would have been Damien who helped Jack, or was it? Than she realized Keira might have seen something, after all she was probably there when it happened. But her thoughts were interrupted and she fell back into reality when she saw Ray had been cornered and his opponent was about to strike, he didn’t seem to want to defend himself or attack without his masters orders.
“RAY USE THUNDER!!”
But before the Manectric had time to react he had already taken a direct hit from a powerful X-Scissor strike that badly damaged his paw.
“Damn it Ray return!”
“So your giving up already?” asked Sariah.
“No I’m just waking up and smelling the coffee now, there will be no more distractions.”
“Man that first battle was disappointing, Vanessa just stood there while her pokemon did all he could on his own, oh well, Sariah has chosen to keep her Scyther and Vanessa sent out a…wow, that is one huge Houndoom! said Flint impressed.
The battle wasn’t very long, the Scyther was great dodging and trying to attack, but it wasn’t enough against such an experienced opponent, so Haru took him down with a Fire Blast as soon as he had the chance.
“Ah man, did you give hormones to that thing?? It’s not fair, Go Pokeball!” complained Sariah.
“Vanessa keeps her Houndoom, no wonder, it has advantage against any type of Bug Pokemon, and Sariah got herself a Butterfree, as long as Vanessa keeps focus on the battle this one might be in the bag.”
The battle wasn’t as easy as it seemed, the Butterfree was able to use her spores to Paralyze Haru and attack repeatedly, but the attacks weren’t enough to take him down, and just like before he had no mercy when defeating his opponent with a mighty Fire Blast.
“I’m sorry about the first match, I had a good time playing against you.” said Vi to her opponent.
“Damn it seems I still got a lot to train, but I’d like to have a rematch later on.” she answered.
“I’d like that too.” said Vi smiling.
“And that’s it! Please give a big applause to KAMON, BREN AND VANESSA, they all move on while the others sadly stay behind. Please come back next year and show us what your made of.” shouted Flint.
Vanessa quickly ran away not even paying attention to her friends who seemed to want to congratulate and scold her at the same time. She had already caused Ray’s injury for being too obsessed about figuring out what was going on, so she preferred to move on quickly towards Jack’s hospital room hoping to find out something.
“Where the hell is she going??” complained Jack.
“I think I know where…but forget it, focus on your battle up ahead unless you want the same to happen to you.” answered Sam.
“I may be hot-headed but I wouldn’t fall asleep like she did, it’s not my style, besides now it’s the Red Division, who’s gonna be fighting anyways?” he asked opening the pamphlet.

“Yeah I’ve seen some of this guys battle before, they’re good! But isn’t she gonna watch this?” said the white haired boy.
“Let’s sit back, leave Vi alone she’s in the fourth round already and we’re not.”
“But we will, well at least I will…”
“Again we’ll be taking a short break to change the arena, but don’t lose your seats because we’ll be back right after the commercials.” said Lucian.
“And don’t go to the bathroom or you’ll do the same I did.”
“Flint you’re fired…”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
10 minutes later.
“We now return with the transmission of the Red Division battles, the three matches will take place on an Earth Field and the first contestants are already heading their way to the arena.
Tyson Toragon is a very balanced trainer so don’t be mistaken by his shy attitude, and his adversary, Kat, is a quiet but strong willed young lady that can get in a bad temper when necessary. Give us your best kids.
*See Lucy, I can talk normally when I want to.*” said Flint.
“Hey Tyson isn’t it? Good luck, you’ll be needing it.” teased the red headed girl.
“Luck isn’t everything, but thanks, good luck for you too.” answered the boy.
“Very well, it seems they both launched the balls simultaneously so let’s see which pokemon they get…
…Kat seems to have picked a Charizard…
…and so did Tyson…I guess it’s a Charizard VS a Charizard, good luck for both players!” announced Flint.
Both pokemon had high levels of experience and that allowed them to put up an amazing battle for the audience that was going crazy while both dragons fought in middle air, however, the crowd eventually got tired since the battle was longer than expected, but the cheers were revived when Kat’s Charizard, Rex, was knocked out by a Seismic Toss making Tyson win the fist match.
“Kat seems upset but she quickly removed her Charizard and sent in a new ball, let’s see…it’s a Venusaur. Tyson seems to be deciding either to keep his Charizard and have a type advantage or trade for a pokemon that isn’t so exhausted…
…he sent in a new ball, it’s a…no way…
…it’s another Venusaur, what are the odds of that happening twice in a row? Let’s see how this turns out.” explained Lucian.
Again the battle was long but not so exciting as the first one, no matter how much they attacked each other it didn’t seem to make any effect, also both opponents had great synthesis abilities making the battle almost useless, but in the end, Kat was able to take down her opponent by hitting it with a Solar Beam while he was beginning to heal himself, and therefore, tying up the game.
“Ok that was kind of boring…but let’s see who Tyson is gonna get now…it’s a Pidgeot!
Kat decided to remove her tired Venusaur and sent in…ANOTHER PIDGEOT! I’m kidding, I’m kidding, it’s a Raichu, that may bring bad news for Tyson.” joked Flint.
At first the Pidgeot appeared to have the upper hand by striking so fast that Zap, the Raichu, was unable to dodge, but unfortunately unlike the other battles, this one was pretty short, since the Pidgeot wasn’t capable of escaping a powerful Thunder attack unleashed by the angry Raichu, and so it was Kat who moved on to the next round.
“Damn…I guess some extra luck would have been useful…” mumbled Tyson.
“Sorry about this, but thanks for the battle I had a great time.” said Kat smiling.
“Oh well, another great trainer now has to go back home, there’s nothing we can do about it, those are the rules, but it was a very interesting match.” mentioned Flint.
“Our next contestants are also a boy and a girl, make way for Tiphanie, a.k.a. Nue, a very intellectual girl that never turns down a good book and Netoow a very suspicious trainer that won’t be fooled easily. Please take your places in the arena.” introduced Lucian.
“Don’t try anything foolish against me, it wont work.” declared Netoow.
“We’ll see about that, I’m normally a good strategist. Go Pokeball!” said Nue.
“Ok what do we have here? The smoke is taking a while to fade away but wait..ok I see it now, Nue got a Haunter and Netoow got an Absol, this should be good.” said Flint.
The battle began by Nue using Geist, the Haunter, to put up a curse on his opponent and trying to heal her pokemon right after it, but Nettow avoided that by commanding the Absol to send in a Blizzard attack, making Nue unable to find her pokemon or cure him. But still that didn’t matter because the Haunter dodged the attack by disappearing into thin air, and reappeared only when his opponent was already damaged by the curse, finishing him off with a Psychic attack.
“Fuck that wont happen again!” said Netoow sending in his second ball.
“Netoow’s new pokemon seems to be…a Blaziken, and Nue who just replaced her pokemon got an…Empoleon. This may be the end.” said Lucian.
However, for everyone’s surprise, type advantage didn’t help at all in this match, since the Blaziken stroke his opponent so many times in a row before he could react, that Penpyon didn’t have a change to defend himself or strike back, eventually fainting in the ground.
“That was fast…and now I have no idea of who might win this, let’s see which pokemon they get.
Ok Nue sent in a…Gallade, and Netoow replaced his Blaziken with a…Gardevoir! How cute! But damn what’s with matching pairs in this division?” announced Flint.
At first, Schwert the Gallade, didn’t seem to want to fight due to his chivalrous nature, but as soon as he realised his masters victory was dependent on him, the battle began. It was pretty long since they were equally matched, but the battle was decided when the Gallade finally unleashed his Dark Type moves like Night Slash that had advantage over the Gardevoir. However, after the battle was over he helped his opponent get up and used his abilities to heal the pokemon damsel.
“It was a good match, you actually did surprise me a few times.” said Netoow.
“Thanks, it’s a shame one of us had to lose, I would love to fight you again in the future.” answered the girl.
“Now that is what I call sportsmanship, it’s great to see trainers put their differences aside, but now we have to move on to the last battle, and here are the trainers.
Christopher, a silent man who normally wonders around Hoenn looking for challenges, and Hakan, a Fire Type specialist that prefers the presence of pokemon rather than humans.” mentioned Lucian.
“A Fire specialist? He’s my kind of guy! Ok it seems both boys didn’t have any time to lose and already sent in their first pokemon. Christopher released a Manectric, and Hakan got a Flareon.” said Flint.
It was an interesting match, Electricity and Fire don’t have any special advantages over each other, so the battle was decided by skill, and in the end Surge the Magnectric, who was suffering from burns, paralyzed his opponent and took him down with all he had. Giving his trainer the first victory.
“Very well, Hakan’s second pokemon seems to be a Vulpix if I’m not mistaken, and Christopher is obviously replacing his burned partner…
…he sent in a Metagross. Good luck.” said Lucian.
Crash, the Metagross, was easily bending over his opponent’s flame attacks with his psychic moves during the match, but unfortunately for him and his trainer, the Vulpix was able to strike while Crash was still controlling a previous attack, and took the hit directly, which immediately caused the Steel Pokemon to faint due to the intense heat.
“Ok this will probably be the last match for this division so let’s see which pokemon will be Christopher’s last hope…it’s an Alakazam, not bad.
Oh look, Hakan wants to keep his Vulpix, that is his most skilled pokemon, but he might be kind of tired, let’s watch this closely.” reported Flint.
Both trainer began by using the exact same strategies as before, the Vulpix used mighty Fire attacks and the Alakazam used Psychic to toss them back, but this time the Vulpix failed at trying to strike while his opponent was still holding a previous attack, since the Psychic pokemon was able to mix up both Fire strikes throwing the huge amount of flames against the small pokemon. But the Vulpix was only defeat after he was hit by a powerful PsyBeam. And so Christopher was the last trainer in the division to move on.
“Sorry, but you put up an awesome fight, it was a pleasure to battle you.” Reassured the winner.
“Thanks, we should have a rematch someday.” proposed Hakan.
“Ok ladies and gentleman, let’s congratulate the Red Division winners KAT, TIPHANIE AND CHRISTOPHER! They were all awesome trainers, but these are the only ones who we’ll be seeing again in the next round.
And now as always please wait while the Earth Arena is removed, the Green Division will arrive in a few minutes, and we can now see on the big screen the upcoming matches.” spoke Flint.
~*~*~*~*~
Meanwhile back in the League’s Hospital.
“Hey Kira wake up! Why the hell are you sleeping on the floor?” asked her sister shaking her off.
“Hum…what? Vi why are you here shouldn’t you be fighting? And why am I here…?”
“I need you to listen carefully, I need to know everything that happened.” demanded Vi.
~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~
5 minutes later
“Seriously how did you fall asleep in here?” asked the younger sister.
“I don’t know…I was waiting for the nurses to let me enter Jack’s room and I must have fallen asleep…my memory is kinda blurry, maybe my blood tension is low today…I need coffee.” answered Keira.
“Sure let’s go to the cafeteria, I need to speak with you.”
“Ok but shouldn’t you be watching the matches? Even if you already won it’s kinda rude not to go watch Sam’s battle.”
“The Cafeteria has a huge plasma TV I’ll watch it in there…and it’s not just Sam, Jack should be fighting soon too.”
“Jack? …What??” asked Keira confused.
“That’s what’s troubling me, while you were sleeping he somehow healed himself, he can walk and talk again.”
“But that’s great!”
“That’s not the point… while you were gaining your senses I checked out his room but I didn’t find anything, you’re my last hope to figure out what happened.”
“…”
As they reached their destination they noticed the first match for the Green Division had already began, so after sitting on an available table both girls focused their attention on the battle.
A young man with brown hair and green eyes was commanding a female Lucario to use a final strike on a beaten up Wobbuffet, but just before she could fulfil her orders the Wobbuffet turned around the battle by hitting her with a Counter strike. That was powerful enough to knock out the Lucario and give the victory to the exhausted Psychic pokemon.
“A Wobbuffet defeating a Lucario? *Damn I which I had a Lucario too…*” said Vi.
“Hey don’t underestimate Wobbuffets, three years ago when I lost the Hoenn League Bart was also defeat by one on the semi finals…damn how I hate Destiny Bond…” complained Keira.
“…”
“Three years ago? You were in the League THREE YEARS AGO??” shouted the girl lifting herself from her seat.
“Hum…yeah…don’t you remember? Oh right…you were in bed sick at the time, you probably had too much fever to notice anything. Now sit down I wanna see the next match.”
“Very well it seems that Dark One of the Night is now sending in his next pokemon after his defeat…It’s a Luxray! Ok Naxuro seems to be taking back the Wobbuffet and sent in a...Snorlax! Let’s see how this turns out.” said the announcer.
“So sister dear…love of my heart, could you refresh my memory about your last time in this League?” said Vi trying to exhort information.
“In a minute I wanna see this first.” she answered.
The battle was long, the Luxray used all of his best attacks on the sleeping Snorlax but it didn’t do much damage, and when it did the large Pokemon just kept on using Rest to heal herself. The Luxray was finally able to wake up his opponent by biting her leg, but unfortunately for him that made the female Snorlax so upset that she hit him with a Hyper Beam full of anger, winning the match and the game for her master, Naxuro.
“Oh look an Infernape is cheering up the Luxray, isn’t that cute?” noticed Vi.
“That is one strong Infernape, I’m good with apes so I can tell just by looking at him, if he had battled this would have been very different. But there’s always next year *same goes for me* and sometimes losing can be a good thing, trust me.” answered Keira.
“So…you were in the League the same year those kids disappeared?” asked the younger girl trying to hide her excitement.
“Oh yeah, now I’m pretty glad I lost, I hated that weirdo blue haired bitch that defeat me in the finals, but then I felt pretty bad for her and the others.”
“Blue haired bitch…don’t tell me your opponent was called Nina Harper…”
“You heard of her? Yup that was the one…she gave me the most humiliating time of my life.”
*Join the club* mumbled Vi softly.
“Did you say something?”
“No! Nothing! Look now it’s Jack’s turn!” *points at the TV*
Jack’s opponent was a short girl with fiery red hair with black tips and a goth style. The accident seemed to have made Jack more polite and sensible since he didn’t even bother to make a joke about the girl’s height, speaking to her very nicely.
They began by sending in their first pokemons, Jack got himself Hikaru, the Hitmonlee, while Akita, the adversary, sent in a Mightyena which was wearing a pink collar with studs.
A Fighting type like a Hitmonlee has a big advantage over that kind of adversary, which in this case did help to decide the winner, but it wasn’t easy. Before being defeated Diva, the Mightyena, inflicted a large number of damage to her opponent and harmed one of his legs by using Bite, but in the end she ended up fainting after a Hi Jump Kick.
Akita’s second pokemon was a Houndour with another collar, this time red with spikes, but because of exhaustion Jack decided to take away Hikaru and send in a new one. And the one who came out was Sendo, the Steelix.
There was a huge difference in size for this match, but just like the girl kept on saying “size isn’t everything” and she proved it. At fist DD, the Houndour, didn’t have much of a chance, even his fire attacks weren’t doing much damage against the Steel pokemon, But then out of nowhere the Houndour evolved into a Houndoom and was able to bring down the Steelix with a powerful fire strike.
“A Mightynena and now a Houndoom? You’re beginning to remind me of a very dear friend of mine…” said the boy on TV.
“Jack…” said Vi smiling.
“…but unfortunately for you not even she has ever had a chance in Hell of defeating me. Go Pokeball!!” he finished.
“…I’m gonna fucking kill you.” declared Vi with a psychotic look on her face towards the screen.
Since the Houndoom was now freshly evolved, Akita decided to keep him in battle, even after realizing that her new opponent was now a large Aerodactyl. The match was pretty much equalled in strength from both sides, but even after getting healed, DD was still tired from the first match and ended up fainting after an Ancientpower strike, making Jack the winner of the second Green Division match.
“He doesn’t seem to be completely healed, look he can hardly lift his arms in the air.” said Keira.
“Good I hope he stays that way.” said Vi still pissed off.
“You like him don’t you?”
“I do NOT!”
“Don’t lie to me, I saw your face when he called you “a very dear friend”, you love and hate him at the same time.” said the young woman grinning.
“Whatever, now let me watch the next match.”
“Now look who’s avoiding the conversation…”
“For the last match here’s Emma, a girl who loves solving mysteries, and Richard Abercrombie, a talented wealthy student from a private school. Apparently they didn’t want to waste any time so they already sent in their Pokeballs after greeting each other. Emma’s pokemon is now out of the smoke, it’s a Venusaur! I can’t see Richard’s one yet, maybe it’s a small one and…no way…IT’S AN IGGLYBUFF! No wonder I couldn’t see it!!” joked the host.
“An Igglybuff? That’s murder! The Venusaur can eat her in one bite!” said Keira.
“They didn’t give us a chance to exchange pokemon after they told us the rules, I guess he wasn’t planning on using her but had bad luck…*sweatdrop*” answered Vi.
Richard had no choice but to forfeit the first match and take away his pokemon. His opponent seemed delighted. The boy sent in a new pokeball and a smile came to his face when he noticed it was a Blaziken, his best pokemon, but Emma decided to take away the Venusaur, getting herself a Typholosion this time.
It was a hot match, literally, even the trainers were beginning to sweat because of the heat coming from the attacks, but the Blaziken besides Fire moves also knew Fighting ones and that helped decide the winner, tying up the game between Richard and Emma.
On the final round Richard kept his Blaziken after completely healing him back with plenty of potions and Emma sent in a new ball that unleashed a Minun. The little guy actually did kick ass, he had a very high level of experience and placed a lot of damage on the Blaziken, but with his opponent being constantly healed with potions, Lily, the small Minun was eventually defeated by a Fire Blast. And so Richard moved on to the Fourth Round.
“Congratulations NAXURO, JACK AND RICHARD! You all won this round *damn no girls this time*, the other players please come to us to receive your medals, you all did great, we’ll be waiting for you next year! And now we’ll show the matches for the Yellow Division” informed the announcer.
“So Keira now that it’s over will you tell me more about the League?” asked Vi.
“Sure what do you wanna know?”
“Well what do you know about those kids?”
“The ones that disappeared? Why do you care?”
“Well…they became legends, so I wanna know if they were as good as I heard.” she answered trying not to act weird.
“Ok let’s see what I can remember…Nina was a good strategist, our battle on the finals was a 3 against 3 simultaneously, she used three Ghost pokemon, a Mismagius, a Dusknoir and a Gengar. They were all very well trained, I hate to say it but I didn’t stand a chance, it was as if everything I threw against them was useless, I just couldn’t damage them. It was embarrassing losing like that, I hardly even touched them. But like I said before thank God I lost, or I could be today where they are…”
“Yeah I’m glad you’re safe.”
“I don’t remember much about the other guys…there was one cute black guy with Dragons, he was a crowd pleaser, all his matches we’re huge show-offs of power, pretty cool if you ask me, he played on the finals with a Charmander, a Salamance and a Flygon.
Then there was an asian dude, he was pretty serious but everyone laughed their asses off at him because he had only Water Pokemon so the League guys had to put a tiny swimming pool in the middle of the arena for him to be able to fight, I think he had a Gorebyss, a Chinchou and a Cloyster. I have no idea how he was able to win with those.
I remember vaguely a pretty girl with pink hair, she looked like a bimbo with only Cutie-pie pokemon like Blisseys, Wigglytuffs and Clefables, ALL SHINY, seriously.
There was also a bitch with Ice pokemon, I saw her laughing about breaking a pokemon’s leg during a battle once, it was a Rapidash, and you know what happens after Rapidashes break their legs…not cool. I don’t remember most of her pokemon but they were females, I remember one Froslass and a Jynx I think. Oh and one Regice, I wonder where she got that.
Finally there was an unbelievable guy, he proclaimed his pokemon were from the “Light Type” which doesn’t really exist but it kinda made sense. He had an Ampharos, a Solrock and an Alakazam on the finals, but I remember he also had a Hypno, a Roserade and a cute Chimecho that was always flying around him. If you ask me he was far too much over his head with himself, kinda like your friend Jack. But he was powerful, his pokemon were so good at healing themselves that none of them ever fainted during the entire League.”
“Did he have an Elekid too?” asked Vi without thinking.
“An Elekid? Not that I noticed…do you know him?”
“…No.”
“Than how do you…?”
“Ok you want the truth? That guy you’re talking about is called Damien, he was a childhood friend of Jack and we’ve been trying to find him. That was close damn it.”
“Oh I see, poor guy…but now that you mention it…before falling asleep I could swear I saw a Hypno, but I thought it was just a dream. It had a scar on his left eye, I remember that the guy, Damien, had a Hypno with a scar just like that too, but this is insane, those kids have all been missing for ages now.”
“You gotta be fucking kidding me. Jack wouldn’t…” said Vi shocked
“I wouldn’t what?” asked Jack sitting at the table with them suddenly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*****~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“…”
“Keira could you give us a minute? Here, take this pamphlet to Sam, he lost his and needs to check the battles for the Blue Division.” demanded Vanessa handing over the brochure.
“Can’t he ask one from the other players?” asked the older sister drinking a cup of coffee.
*cold glare*
“Fine, I’ll leave you two love birds alone. If you need me I’ll be watching the battles from the audience. Great to see you healthy again Jack.” she said before leaving with her drink.
“…”
“Why did you just kick away your sister? I’m not mad at her for what happened.” asked Jack confused.
“Either you tell me what happened in that hospital room or I swear I’ll kill you Jack Foster.” declared the girl seriously.
“…”
“I don’t remember, I was in pain and then it went away, maybe the doctors drugs did an extra effect on me, my father heals quickly too.” he said smiling.
“Don’t you fucking lie to me, I know Damien had something to do with this.”
“…”
“I don’t remember…” began to answer Jack.
“Jack if you truly consider me your friend at least have the decency to tell me the truth.”
“…”
“Fine. It was Damien the one who healed me. Happy now?” he finally admitted losing the smile from his face.
“Why? The last time you could have died from poison but now you were just burned, why did he help you?”
“…I don’t know, he just did.”
“Are you going to tell me the whole story?”
“No.” he answered quickly.
“Why not?”
“Because part of the deal was that I couldn’t tell anyone.”
“Deal? What deal?”
“I can’t and I wont tell you. He healed me in exchange for a gamble, that’s all you need to know.”
“How could you accept something like that?”
“I was desperate, you have no idea how it felt being like that, hopeless and in pain, you’d take the bet too.”
“Can I at least know what type of bet is it?”
“If I lose the bet I’ll need to pay him back for healing me, but if I win I don’t need to do anything, that’s all I can say.”
“How can you trust him after all he did to you…?”
“…”
“You’re the one who needs to trust me now. I know what I’m doing.” he softly said after kissing her forehead.
*blushes*
*punches him in the face*
“HEY WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR??”
“That’s for saying on national television that I could never defeat your sorry ass you piece of shit!! I spent hours worried about you and that’s how you repay me??”
“Oh…that…sorry…I guess I had it coming.”
“Ok I feel much better now, I’ll go order a banana split before the Yellow Division starts, do you want something?”
“A napkin to wipe the blood from my nose?”
“Ok ladies, gentleman and small children, we now return with the Yellow Division, as you may see the Steel Arena is already settled, so the first contestants please move towards your destinations.”
“…”
“Hey Vi check this out, this guy looks like Cloud from FF7! And the girl is pretty.” noticed Jack looking at the contestants.
“ffwhat?” asked Vi returning with the ice-cream.
“Final…Fantasy…*duh* please don’t tell me you never played it…”
“So what if I didn’t?”
“I pity you…”
“Shut up and watch the battle.”
Dracon unleashed a Skarmory, while Susan sent in a Shiftry. Shadow, the Shiftry, was indeed powerfull, it was easy to see that being reflected on her attacks, but unfortunately she had the wrong opponent, not only did the Skarmory have advantage, but was also resistant against her, so the first victory ended up going to Dracon.
For the second round Susan released her Milotic, so Dracon decided to remove the Skarmory and his replacement ended up being a Mightyena. The battle was very fast since the poor pokemon was caught by a Water Pulse, it didn’t defeat the Mightyena immediately but it confuse her, which allowed the Milotic to finish her off with a Hydro Pump.
“Hey now I recognize this guy, I caught him doing his Mightyena! I guess you’re not the only one with a taste for canines…”
“Do you want me to really break your nose this time?” *glare*
“I’ll be a good boy.”
On the final round Dracon was fighting with an Empoleon while Susan had a Blaziken. The advantage of Water against Fire didn’t seem to be helping much in this battle, Ember the Blaziken was too fast for the Empoleon’s attacks dodging them and striking back with Fighting strikes. But just before the Empoleon was about to faint she was able to send in a powerfull Hydro Pump that the Blaziken was unable to avoid, winning the game for Dracon right before falling on the ground.
“And Dracon moves on to the finals, this was one heck of a chick fight, all pokemon during the match were females!” said the announcer.
“So are we cool now?” asked Jack.
“I’m still worried about this Damien healing you thing, but I guess I have no other choice besides trusting you…”
“Thanks, you’re a good friend.”
“But you still gotta tell Sam, he wont be giddy either.”
“Do I have to?”
Dante Valentine and Edward were the next contestants entering the arena. The first boy got himself a Rotom, while Ed got a Medicham. It didn’t take long before the fight was over, the Rotom because of his Ghost side was immune to any Fighting attacks and Psychic ones weren’t very effective either, the Medicham ended up being electrocuted while trying to punch the small pokemon.
“A Rotom? First time I see one, pretty cute actually.” mentioned Vi.
“I hate them. A few years ago one of them infiltrated my computer and burned down the whole thing, you have no idea how long it took me to repair it and download all my series again, little fuckers.”
Meanwhile a Weavile that belong to Dante was fighting a Tropius from Ed, a powerful blizzard attack sent by the Ice pokemon was damaging the Tropius, but he was able to send in a Sunny Day move followed by a Synthesis to survive the attack, and as soon as the Blizzard was over he attacked with a Solar Beam while the Weavile was unprotected and finished up with a Razor Leaf strike.
“Wow that Tropius is pretty fast.” commented Jack.
“Some Tropius are able to double their speed when Sunny Day is being used, I guess this was the case.”
To finish the game it was time for both boys to send in their last pokemon, Dante unleashed a shiny Gallade and Ed replaced the Tropius with a Magnemite. At first a Magnemite may not seem like a good opponent for such a Psychic pokemon, but with so many resistances all cutting attacks the Gallade tried to use on the Steel pokemon were useless. He insisted with slashing attacks but all that he was gaining was electric shocks every time he touched the pokemon. Finally when both pokemons were tired Dante changed strategy and commanded the blue Gallade to use a Close Combat, which was effective enough to take down the small Magnemite, but it caused the Gallade to faint afterwards because of the severe electric damage he had received. However, the battle was already won, and Dante had moved on to the fourth round.
“Damn the Pokemon Centre must be packet with severely damaged pokemon by now, this battles can push them to their limits sometimes.” said Vi.
“Hikaru and Sendo are there right now, but the nurse said they should be fine after a long rest and tons of food.”
For the final match Alex Pendragon and Wren Nobara, both with piercing blue eyes gazing at the their pokeballs stepped nervously into the field. Their first pokemon turned out to be both Ghosts, Wren had a Banette and Alex had a Gengar. It took a while for them to attack, first they just appeared and disappeared in thin air, but when they eventually decided to attack Maxwell, the Banette, stroke Umbra the Gengar with a Sucker Punch while the other was punching back with a Shadow Punch, and since Ghosts are vulnerable against other ghosts, that caused a large amount of damage for both. Time was now crucial for both pokemon, any attack could defeat them. The first one to come back to his senses was Maxwell that was ordered to use a Shadow Ball, but unfortunately for him, the Gengar was able to disappear avoiding the attack and come back with a Thunder Bolt that finished the match.
Both players quickly removed their pokemon and released the new ones, this time Alex got a Graveler and Wren a Roselia. To escape grass attacks Gravelette, the Graveler, used Rollout, but was eventually caught by a Leech Seed that made her unable to continue with the attack. It wasn’t long before the trapped pokemon was defeat by three turns of Petal Dance attacks.
Wren knew the risks, if her Mantyke was unleashed into battle he wouldn’t be able to fight in a Steel Arena, but still she tried to take back the Roselia and threw in a new pokeball, luckily it was her Ampharos while Alex had unleashed a Primeape. Since none of the pokemon had advantages or resistances against each other the battle was long. Yunchi the Ampharos was shy and quiet but powerful, while Yeknam, the Primeape, was loud and strong. When both pokemon were exhausted and could hardly move any more the battle was finally finished by a Low Kick that the Primeape was able to strike before laying on the floor to rest, leaving his adversary knocked out. And so Alex politely thanked Wren for the battle and apologised for her defeat.
“And now that this division is finished please give a round of applause for the winners DRACON, DANTE and ALEX, we’ll be right back with the last division.”
“It was a good battle, but she’s lucky she got her Ampharos and not a Mantyke, every arena should have a small water pond it’s unfair for Water pokemon this way.” said Vi.
“I agree, but even with a poodle the pokemon would be stuck in a tiny limited space and therefore with unadvantage and if they were fighting on a Water Arena it would be unfair for Ground and Fire pokemon too.”
“Unadvantage is better than nothing, I’m gonna write a complaint letter to the League about this.”
“Hey isn’t that Sam on the TV?” asked Jack.
~*~*~*~
“Hey, Wren wait up.” said Sam walking behind the girl in the corridors.
“Do I know you?” asked the girl crying.
“Well…no, I’m a player in the Blue Division I just wanted to say that you shouldn’t feel bad about losing, when we give our best there is no reason to feel sad. But it would be good if you complained about the arenas, to make sure that next year Water pokemon don’t have to face this problem again. I had to exchange one of my pokemon because of that too.”
“Thanks…I’ll do that.” she said pulling back her long wavy dark hair.
“Hey Sam your up next, here’s the pamphlet you wanted.” said Keira walking towards them.
“Pamphlet? But I already have one…” answered Sam looking at it.

Meanwhile back in the League’s VIP private rooms.
“Bianca why are you here? You were suppose to be watching Team Galactic.” questioned Damien who had just teleported himself behind her.
“Ish…seriously, I hate when you and Nina do that, have you ever heard of a cute little invention called DOOR?” she complained.
“Why are you here?” he repeated annoyed.
“Oh chill your ass out, I made a bet with Nina, she lost so she went to take care of them instead of me.”
“What kind of bet?” he asked with curiosity.
“Mind your own business Damy.”
“I can just read your mind by force if you don’t tell me.”
“If you insist so much…we made a bet about you and your lover boy that was fried like a chicken. Nina bet that you were far to anal to risk our cover and our plans for a stupid kid, but I knew you would go running to save your little Jacky…again. And it seems I was right!” she joked.
“…”
“Well in that case none of you won the bet.”
“Oh really? Than mind explaining why he’s as fresh as a daisy now?”
“I didn’t save him, I made a deal with him.”
“A deal? What kind of…deal?”
“Now it’s you who should mind your business.”
“And I can just enter your mind and see it for myself too.” she threatened.
“Oh please, my Psychic abilities are far more developed than yours will ever be, you wouldn’t stand a chance.” he answered grinning.
“Fine, but we have the right to know if that “deal” won’t affect anything in all of our plans.”
“Don’t worry, Jack doesn’t know that either away the bet might turn out I’ll win anyways, it’s a win or win gamble for me.”
“I never thought of you as the cheating type Damien, that’s so…me!” commented Nina appearing out of a shadow behind both of them.
“See what I mean? USE THE FREAKING DOOR!” shouted Bianca startled.
“So any news from Team Galactic?” asked Damien.
“We don’t need to worry about them, they’re all still in jail after those lame attempts to capture Dialga and Palkia, but just to make sure they wouldn’t disturb us I killed their leader and made it look like a suicide.” answered Nina.
“Good.”
“So how are our kids doing?”
“All battles were freaking boring until know, these players are nothing but a bunch of honey bunny lame asses, there was no blood whatsoever, seriously, not even ONE broken leg. All this…politeness is making me sick.” complained Bianca.
“Well not everyone needs to be a bitch to win.” said Damien.
“Fuck you.”
“Ok and now last but not least here is the Blue Division, they will be playing on a Sand Arena so let’s cheer for them!”
“Isn’t Lilith playing in this division?” remembered Nina.
“Yeah, she’s taking the shape of a girl called Desiree, it think she just wants to test her pet herself.” said Damien.
“That’s retarded, if she wins he wont pass this round and if she loses I’ll fucking kill her.”
“Bianca, just shut up and watch the matches, Lilith knows what she’s doing…*I hope*.” he complained.
The first match was between Geff, a young man with spiky black hair, and Steven, a mysterious person with an eye patch over one of his red eyes. It didn’t take long before their first battle was over, Steven had the bad luck of getting a Shuckle when his opponent got a powerful Blastoise, so in a matter of minutes Geff had the first victory after a series of Hydro Pumps.
However the game turned around when Steven’s second pokemon turned out to be a Regirock. Geff decided to keep Tank, his Blastoise, but even with the advantage over Type the sand arena allowed the Regirock room for strategies that eventually defeated his opponent.
On the last battle Geff got himself a Blaziken and Steven replaced the tired Regirock with an Alakazam. Ember, the Blaziken, was able to place a huge amount of damage against his opponent, but just before winning, the Alakazam used Recover and turned the game around with powerful Psychic attacks that defeated Ember, and gave his owner, Steven, the victory.
“How the fuck did that kid get a Regirock? Those guys are fucking rare I had to go through Hell to get my Regice.” wondered Bianca.
“Regis are nature’s guardians, they exist only where their protection is needed, when one is captured or killed another one is formed, they’re hard to get but it’s not an impossible task.” explained Damien.
“I’m more surprised about the huge amount of Blazikens in this years League, are they fashionable or something this days?” joked Nina.
“Maybe it’s because we’re in Hoenn, and they are the evolution of one of Hoenn’s starter pokemon…*Duh*” answered Bianca sarcastically.
“Very well Steven moves on to the next round, but now we can already see the next contestants in their places. On the right we have Mark Parastein, a young man that devoted himself to science, and on the left is Zane, a powerful challenger from Sinnoh that comes today to the arena with his two sister for cheering. Let the best man win.” said the announcer.
Both players didn’t hesitate in sending in their pokemon. Mark’s random pokemon was his Dusclops, while Zane got an Infernape. The Dusclops seemed to be tiring down his opponent by dodging his fire attacks and striking with Shadow Balls, but in the end he was burned down by a mighty Flamethrower.
Zane seemed to be happy about his first victory, but his facial expression quickly changed when he noticed that he was unable to make his Infernape return to his pokeball. Apparently he had suffered a Mean Look attack during the match, normally they fade away when the enemy is defeated, but this Dusclop’s one seemed to be much more efficient. So Zane had no choice but to keep the exhausted pokemon while Mark unleashed a Gardevoir, the battle was obviously short after that, since the Infernape was easily knocked out by Psychic attacks.
For the last match Zane finally unleashed a new pokemon, this time it was a Gastrodon, while Mark replaced the Gardevoir for a Porygon2. In most cases this two wouldn’t have any advantage against each other, but this Porygon2’s Hidden Power was able to freely switch between element types and so he used that ability to strike with Grass Type powers. However, that didn’t make the battle easy, the Gastrodon inflicted a lot of damage on the digital pokemon, but with him constantly using Recover the Gastrodon eventually fell on the ground, making Mark the winner in this battle.
“This match was actually interesting, a Porygon-Z wouldn’t be a bad addition to my party, I guess I’ll try to create one.” commented Damien.
“God you’re such a nerd, just steal one it’s much easier and quicker.” said Bianca.
“Normal Porygons have lots of bugs and errors, why would I steal a flawed one when I can create a perfect one.”
“You’re obsessed with perfection, when are you gonna realize that it doesn’t even exist.” said Nina.
“Oh no, don’t you two start a philosophical discussion in here, I wanna see poor little stupid Lily battle her ass off.” complained Bianca.
Sam nervously approached the arena, his opponent had only one pokemon so she knew exactly which one it was going to be, while he was dependent on the ones that might come out. However, his nerves chilled down a bit when he realized his first pokemon was Min, his Ariados.
Desiree, the opponent, seemed to be more focused on flirting with him than in the battle itself, no wonder why, the Blissey was almost invincible, no matter what attacks he used she remained fresh and clean. And it didn’t take long before the poor Ariados was blown away by a single Egg Bomb.
“Wasn’t this stupid shiny Blissey Lilith’s starter pokemon? Sam must be insane if he thinks he can take down a Team Genesis member, I’ll bet 100 bucks as he loses as soon as he releases his next pokemon.” gambled Bianca.
“Lilith will forfeit the battle, she obviously likes him and is not willing to lose her pet because of her pride.” said Damien.
“500 bucks as she loses the game.” quickly responded Nina.
“WHAT? Are you insane?? Lilith might be the weakest one of us but COME ON she can take down that brat!” the blond woman shouted.
“What makes you say that?” asked Damien ignoring Bianca.
“You’ll see.” she answered.
Sam had his hands slightly shaking when he threw his second pokeball, this time it was Chi, his Medicham, she was his starter pokemon so his hope was awaken. He used a defensive strategy that consisted on the Medicham using Psychic to return any attacks towards the attacker or escape using Teleport, it might look like a cowardly thing to do, but he had just witnessed the Blissey’s huge amount of power by the crater the Egg Bomb had created in the arena.
The battle was getting long and Lilith was enjoying herself, seeing her future pet sweat and shake was making her day, he was cute when he was nervous. But she wasn’t gonna take away his change of moving on so she placed her hand in the air with the intention of forfeiting. However, before she was able to open her mouth, Chi returned another Egg Bomb against Galinda, the Blissey, but this time it actually knocked her out, leaving the girl and the audience speechless.
“…”
“…”
“WHAT THE FUCK??” shouted Bianca.
“Impressive.” commented Damien.
“I told you.” said Nina.
“Ok one of you please explain me what the fuck just happened, there is no fucking away in HELL an Egg Bomb would defeat a Blissey which such a high level of defence.”
“You should learn from this Bianca, just like Lilith you weren’t able to see through the kid’s strategy.” said Damien.
“She could have easily defeated him without even blinking, but she decided to play around and was too busy flirting to see what was going on.” mentioned Nina.
“Ok…but WHAT was going on??”
“I did see the Ariados using Curse on her opponent, but since she isn’t a Ghost Type I figured it would only decrease his speed and increase her attack and defence, but from what happened on the second match I guess I was wrong.” informed Damien.
“What?”
“Curse is a very special attack, I’ve studied it a few months ago, unlike all other attacks it doesn’t have a Type so I guess that Ariados must have been born with it, I still wasn’t able to identify why some pokemon can learn it but others can’t. What I did discover was that the effect it has doesn’t just change when used by Ghost Types, the affect on the opponent changes because of hate.” Nina began to explain.
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“When a pokemon is capable of high levels of hatred his Curse attack changes into taking his own life to continually decrease his opponents one, Ghost pokemon have all experienced death so this is easier for them, it’s in their nature, but it doesn’t mean that other pokemon aren’t able to do the same, it’s just a very rare thing, I could sense the emotions on that Ariados, she loves her master but has a deep hatred in her heart, she must have had a very hard life before joining him.”
“Are you telling me Lilith was stupid enough to not even realize her pokemon was being damaged by a stupid Curse?”
“So were you Bianca….you didn’t saw it either. The kid was smart, no one would be expecting for a Curse to have that effect coming from an Ariados so in the second match all he had to do was survive until the opponent fainted.”
“I see that you have been taking your Ghost Pokemon researchers seriously Nina.” said Damien interested in the conversation.
“Off course, I intend on discovering everything about them.”
“Damn Lilith sucks ass, we should kick her out of the Team.” complained Bianca again.
“No, this is good to remind us that we are NOT invincible, be careful, don’t full around like she did and don’t underestimate your opponents.” he answered.
“That was a great closure for this round! Please applaud the winners STEVEN, MARK and SAM. All winners will have a week to prepare for Round Four, and I suggest using that time wisely because it will not be easy. So before we leave let’s hear a huge round of applauses to all participants in all divisions that stayed behind, you all gave your best but half of you had to go home. Me and Flint now say goodbye to everyone, it was an honor being here but it’s time for us to leave. We also wish good luck to all winners, if you decide to drop by in the Sinnoh League we promise to give some battles you’ll never forget. Goodbye and Good night!”
“Oh and by the way…you guys own me 500 bucks each.” joked Nina.

"Official Announcement"
---------------------

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
10 minutes later.
“We now return with the transmission of the Red Division battles, the three matches will take place on an Earth Field and the first contestants are already heading their way to the arena.
Tyson Toragon is a very balanced trainer so don’t be mistaken by his shy attitude, and his adversary, Kat, is a quiet but strong willed young lady that can get in a bad temper when necessary. Give us your best kids.
*See Lucy, I can talk normally when I want to.*” said Flint.
“Hey Tyson isn’t it? Good luck, you’ll be needing it.” teased the red headed girl.
“Luck isn’t everything, but thanks, good luck for you too.” answered the boy.
“Very well, it seems they both launched the balls simultaneously so let’s see which pokemon they get…
…Kat seems to have picked a Charizard…
…and so did Tyson…I guess it’s a Charizard VS a Charizard, good luck for both players!” announced Flint.
Both pokemon had high levels of experience and that allowed them to put up an amazing battle for the audience that was going crazy while both dragons fought in middle air, however, the crowd eventually got tired since the battle was longer than expected, but the cheers were revived when Kat’s Charizard, Rex, was knocked out by a Seismic Toss making Tyson win the fist match.
“Kat seems upset but she quickly removed her Charizard and sent in a new ball, let’s see…it’s a Venusaur. Tyson seems to be deciding either to keep his Charizard and have a type advantage or trade for a pokemon that isn’t so exhausted…
…he sent in a new ball, it’s a…no way…
…it’s another Venusaur, what are the odds of that happening twice in a row? Let’s see how this turns out.” explained Lucian.
Again the battle was long but not so exciting as the first one, no matter how much they attacked each other it didn’t seem to make any effect, also both opponents had great synthesis abilities making the battle almost useless, but in the end, Kat was able to take down her opponent by hitting it with a Solar Beam while he was beginning to heal himself, and therefore, tying up the game.
“Ok that was kind of boring…but let’s see who Tyson is gonna get now…it’s a Pidgeot!
Kat decided to remove her tired Venusaur and sent in…ANOTHER PIDGEOT! I’m kidding, I’m kidding, it’s a Raichu, that may bring bad news for Tyson.” joked Flint.
At first the Pidgeot appeared to have the upper hand by striking so fast that Zap, the Raichu, was unable to dodge, but unfortunately unlike the other battles, this one was pretty short, since the Pidgeot wasn’t capable of escaping a powerful Thunder attack unleashed by the angry Raichu, and so it was Kat who moved on to the next round.
“Damn…I guess some extra luck would have been useful…” mumbled Tyson.
“Sorry about this, but thanks for the battle I had a great time.” said Kat smiling.
“Oh well, another great trainer now has to go back home, there’s nothing we can do about it, those are the rules, but it was a very interesting match.” mentioned Flint.
“Our next contestants are also a boy and a girl, make way for Tiphanie, a.k.a. Nue, a very intellectual girl that never turns down a good book and Netoow a very suspicious trainer that won’t be fooled easily. Please take your places in the arena.” introduced Lucian.
“Don’t try anything foolish against me, it wont work.” declared Netoow.
“We’ll see about that, I’m normally a good strategist. Go Pokeball!” said Nue.
“Ok what do we have here? The smoke is taking a while to fade away but wait..ok I see it now, Nue got a Haunter and Netoow got an Absol, this should be good.” said Flint.
The battle began by Nue using Geist, the Haunter, to put up a curse on his opponent and trying to heal her pokemon right after it, but Nettow avoided that by commanding the Absol to send in a Blizzard attack, making Nue unable to find her pokemon or cure him. But still that didn’t matter because the Haunter dodged the attack by disappearing into thin air, and reappeared only when his opponent was already damaged by the curse, finishing him off with a Psychic attack.
“Fuck that wont happen again!” said Netoow sending in his second ball.
“Netoow’s new pokemon seems to be…a Blaziken, and Nue who just replaced her pokemon got an…Empoleon. This may be the end.” said Lucian.
However, for everyone’s surprise, type advantage didn’t help at all in this match, since the Blaziken stroke his opponent so many times in a row before he could react, that Penpyon didn’t have a change to defend himself or strike back, eventually fainting in the ground.
“That was fast…and now I have no idea of who might win this, let’s see which pokemon they get.
Ok Nue sent in a…Gallade, and Netoow replaced his Blaziken with a…Gardevoir! How cute! But damn what’s with matching pairs in this division?” announced Flint.
At first, Schwert the Gallade, didn’t seem to want to fight due to his chivalrous nature, but as soon as he realised his masters victory was dependent on him, the battle began. It was pretty long since they were equally matched, but the battle was decided when the Gallade finally unleashed his Dark Type moves like Night Slash that had advantage over the Gardevoir. However, after the battle was over he helped his opponent get up and used his abilities to heal the pokemon damsel.
“It was a good match, you actually did surprise me a few times.” said Netoow.
“Thanks, it’s a shame one of us had to lose, I would love to fight you again in the future.” answered the girl.
“Now that is what I call sportsmanship, it’s great to see trainers put their differences aside, but now we have to move on to the last battle, and here are the trainers.
Christopher, a silent man who normally wonders around Hoenn looking for challenges, and Hakan, a Fire Type specialist that prefers the presence of pokemon rather than humans.” mentioned Lucian.
“A Fire specialist? He’s my kind of guy! Ok it seems both boys didn’t have any time to lose and already sent in their first pokemon. Christopher released a Manectric, and Hakan got a Flareon.” said Flint.
It was an interesting match, Electricity and Fire don’t have any special advantages over each other, so the battle was decided by skill, and in the end Surge the Magnectric, who was suffering from burns, paralyzed his opponent and took him down with all he had. Giving his trainer the first victory.
“Very well, Hakan’s second pokemon seems to be a Vulpix if I’m not mistaken, and Christopher is obviously replacing his burned partner…
…he sent in a Metagross. Good luck.” said Lucian.
Crash, the Metagross, was easily bending over his opponent’s flame attacks with his psychic moves during the match, but unfortunately for him and his trainer, the Vulpix was able to strike while Crash was still controlling a previous attack, and took the hit directly, which immediately caused the Steel Pokemon to faint due to the intense heat.
“Ok this will probably be the last match for this division so let’s see which pokemon will be Christopher’s last hope…it’s an Alakazam, not bad.
Oh look, Hakan wants to keep his Vulpix, that is his most skilled pokemon, but he might be kind of tired, let’s watch this closely.” reported Flint.
Both trainer began by using the exact same strategies as before, the Vulpix used mighty Fire attacks and the Alakazam used Psychic to toss them back, but this time the Vulpix failed at trying to strike while his opponent was still holding a previous attack, since the Psychic pokemon was able to mix up both Fire strikes throwing the huge amount of flames against the small pokemon. But the Vulpix was only defeat after he was hit by a powerful PsyBeam. And so Christopher was the last trainer in the division to move on.
“Sorry, but you put up an awesome fight, it was a pleasure to battle you.” Reassured the winner.
“Thanks, we should have a rematch someday.” proposed Hakan.
“Ok ladies and gentleman, let’s congratulate the Red Division winners KAT, TIPHANIE AND CHRISTOPHER! They were all awesome trainers, but these are the only ones who we’ll be seeing again in the next round.
And now as always please wait while the Earth Arena is removed, the Green Division will arrive in a few minutes, and we can now see on the big screen the upcoming matches.” spoke Flint.
Meanwhile back in the League’s Hospital.
“Hey Kira wake up! Why the hell are you sleeping on the floor?” asked her sister shaking her off.
“Hum…what? Vi why are you here shouldn’t you be fighting? And why am I here…?”
“I need you to listen carefully, I need to know everything that happened.” demanded Vi.
~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~
5 minutes later
“Seriously how did you fall asleep in here?” asked the younger sister.
“I don’t know…I was waiting for the nurses to let me enter Jack’s room and I must have fallen asleep…my memory is kinda blurry, maybe my blood tension is low today…I need coffee.” answered Keira.
“Sure let’s go to the cafeteria, I need to speak with you.”
“Ok but shouldn’t you be watching the matches? Even if you already won it’s kinda rude not to go watch Sam’s battle.”
“The Cafeteria has a huge plasma TV I’ll watch it in there…and it’s not just Sam, Jack should be fighting soon too.”
“Jack? …What??” asked Keira confused.
“That’s what’s troubling me, while you were sleeping he somehow healed himself, he can walk and talk again.”
“But that’s great!”
“That’s not the point… while you were gaining your senses I checked out his room but I didn’t find anything, you’re my last hope to figure out what happened.”
“…”
As they reached their destination they noticed the first match for the Green Division had already began, so after sitting on an available table both girls focused their attention on the battle.
A young man with brown hair and green eyes was commanding a female Lucario to use a final strike on a beaten up Wobbuffet, but just before she could fulfil her orders the Wobbuffet turned around the battle by hitting her with a Counter strike. That was powerful enough to knock out the Lucario and give the victory to the exhausted Psychic pokemon.
“A Wobbuffet defeating a Lucario? *Damn I which I had a Lucario too…*” said Vi.
“Hey don’t underestimate Wobbuffets, three years ago when I lost the Hoenn League Bart was also defeat by one on the semi finals…damn how I hate Destiny Bond…” complained Keira.
“…”
“Three years ago? You were in the League THREE YEARS AGO??” shouted the girl lifting herself from her seat.
“Hum…yeah…don’t you remember? Oh right…you were in bed sick at the time, you probably had too much fever to notice anything. Now sit down I wanna see the next match.”
“Very well it seems that Dark One of the Night is now sending in his next pokemon after his defeat…It’s a Luxray! Ok Naxuro seems to be taking back the Wobbuffet and sent in a...Snorlax! Let’s see how this turns out.” said the announcer.
“So sister dear…love of my heart, could you refresh my memory about your last time in this League?” said Vi trying to exhort information.
“In a minute I wanna see this first.” she answered.
The battle was long, the Luxray used all of his best attacks on the sleeping Snorlax but it didn’t do much damage, and when it did the large Pokemon just kept on using Rest to heal herself. The Luxray was finally able to wake up his opponent by biting her leg, but unfortunately for him that made the female Snorlax so upset that she hit him with a Hyper Beam full of anger, winning the match and the game for her master, Naxuro.
“Oh look an Infernape is cheering up the Luxray, isn’t that cute?” noticed Vi.
“That is one strong Infernape, I’m good with apes so I can tell just by looking at him, if he had battled this would have been very different. But there’s always next year *same goes for me* and sometimes losing can be a good thing, trust me.” answered Keira.
“So…you were in the League the same year those kids disappeared?” asked the younger girl trying to hide her excitement.
“Oh yeah, now I’m pretty glad I lost, I hated that weirdo blue haired bitch that defeat me in the finals, but then I felt pretty bad for her and the others.”
“Blue haired bitch…don’t tell me your opponent was called Nina Harper…”
“You heard of her? Yup that was the one…she gave me the most humiliating time of my life.”
*Join the club* mumbled Vi softly.
“Did you say something?”
“No! Nothing! Look now it’s Jack’s turn!” *points at the TV*
Jack’s opponent was a short girl with fiery red hair with black tips and a goth style. The accident seemed to have made Jack more polite and sensible since he didn’t even bother to make a joke about the girl’s height, speaking to her very nicely.
They began by sending in their first pokemons, Jack got himself Hikaru, the Hitmonlee, while Akita, the adversary, sent in a Mightyena which was wearing a pink collar with studs.
A Fighting type like a Hitmonlee has a big advantage over that kind of adversary, which in this case did help to decide the winner, but it wasn’t easy. Before being defeated Diva, the Mightyena, inflicted a large number of damage to her opponent and harmed one of his legs by using Bite, but in the end she ended up fainting after a Hi Jump Kick.
Akita’s second pokemon was a Houndour with another collar, this time red with spikes, but because of exhaustion Jack decided to take away Hikaru and send in a new one. And the one who came out was Sendo, the Steelix.
There was a huge difference in size for this match, but just like the girl kept on saying “size isn’t everything” and she proved it. At fist DD, the Houndour, didn’t have much of a chance, even his fire attacks weren’t doing much damage against the Steel pokemon, But then out of nowhere the Houndour evolved into a Houndoom and was able to bring down the Steelix with a powerful fire strike.
“A Mightynena and now a Houndoom? You’re beginning to remind me of a very dear friend of mine…” said the boy on TV.
“Jack…” said Vi smiling.
“…but unfortunately for you not even she has ever had a chance in Hell of defeating me. Go Pokeball!!” he finished.
“…I’m gonna fucking kill you.” declared Vi with a psychotic look on her face towards the screen.
Since the Houndoom was now freshly evolved, Akita decided to keep him in battle, even after realizing that her new opponent was now a large Aerodactyl. The match was pretty much equalled in strength from both sides, but even after getting healed, DD was still tired from the first match and ended up fainting after an Ancientpower strike, making Jack the winner of the second Green Division match.
“He doesn’t seem to be completely healed, look he can hardly lift his arms in the air.” said Keira.
“Good I hope he stays that way.” said Vi still pissed off.
“You like him don’t you?”
“I do NOT!”
“Don’t lie to me, I saw your face when he called you “a very dear friend”, you love and hate him at the same time.” said the young woman grinning.
“Whatever, now let me watch the next match.”
“Now look who’s avoiding the conversation…”
“For the last match here’s Emma, a girl who loves solving mysteries, and Richard Abercrombie, a talented wealthy student from a private school. Apparently they didn’t want to waste any time so they already sent in their Pokeballs after greeting each other. Emma’s pokemon is now out of the smoke, it’s a Venusaur! I can’t see Richard’s one yet, maybe it’s a small one and…no way…IT’S AN IGGLYBUFF! No wonder I couldn’t see it!!” joked the host.
“An Igglybuff? That’s murder! The Venusaur can eat her in one bite!” said Keira.
“They didn’t give us a chance to exchange pokemon after they told us the rules, I guess he wasn’t planning on using her but had bad luck…*sweatdrop*” answered Vi.
Richard had no choice but to forfeit the first match and take away his pokemon. His opponent seemed delighted. The boy sent in a new pokeball and a smile came to his face when he noticed it was a Blaziken, his best pokemon, but Emma decided to take away the Venusaur, getting herself a Typholosion this time.
It was a hot match, literally, even the trainers were beginning to sweat because of the heat coming from the attacks, but the Blaziken besides Fire moves also knew Fighting ones and that helped decide the winner, tying up the game between Richard and Emma.
On the final round Richard kept his Blaziken after completely healing him back with plenty of potions and Emma sent in a new ball that unleashed a Minun. The little guy actually did kick ass, he had a very high level of experience and placed a lot of damage on the Blaziken, but with his opponent being constantly healed with potions, Lily, the small Minun was eventually defeated by a Fire Blast. And so Richard moved on to the Fourth Round.
“Congratulations NAXURO, JACK AND RICHARD! You all won this round *damn no girls this time*, the other players please come to us to receive your medals, you all did great, we’ll be waiting for you next year! And now we’ll show the matches for the Yellow Division” informed the announcer.
“So Keira now that it’s over will you tell me more about the League?” asked Vi.
“Sure what do you wanna know?”
“Well what do you know about those kids?”
“The ones that disappeared? Why do you care?”
“Well…they became legends, so I wanna know if they were as good as I heard.” she answered trying not to act weird.
“Ok let’s see what I can remember…Nina was a good strategist, our battle on the finals was a 3 against 3 simultaneously, she used three Ghost pokemon, a Mismagius, a Dusknoir and a Gengar. They were all very well trained, I hate to say it but I didn’t stand a chance, it was as if everything I threw against them was useless, I just couldn’t damage them. It was embarrassing losing like that, I hardly even touched them. But like I said before thank God I lost, or I could be today where they are…”
“Yeah I’m glad you’re safe.”
“I don’t remember much about the other guys…there was one cute black guy with Dragons, he was a crowd pleaser, all his matches we’re huge show-offs of power, pretty cool if you ask me, he played on the finals with a Charmander, a Salamance and a Flygon.
Then there was an asian dude, he was pretty serious but everyone laughed their asses off at him because he had only Water Pokemon so the League guys had to put a tiny swimming pool in the middle of the arena for him to be able to fight, I think he had a Gorebyss, a Chinchou and a Cloyster. I have no idea how he was able to win with those.
I remember vaguely a pretty girl with pink hair, she looked like a bimbo with only Cutie-pie pokemon like Blisseys, Wigglytuffs and Clefables, ALL SHINY, seriously.
There was also a bitch with Ice pokemon, I saw her laughing about breaking a pokemon’s leg during a battle once, it was a Rapidash, and you know what happens after Rapidashes break their legs…not cool. I don’t remember most of her pokemon but they were females, I remember one Froslass and a Jynx I think. Oh and one Regice, I wonder where she got that.
Finally there was an unbelievable guy, he proclaimed his pokemon were from the “Light Type” which doesn’t really exist but it kinda made sense. He had an Ampharos, a Solrock and an Alakazam on the finals, but I remember he also had a Hypno, a Roserade and a cute Chimecho that was always flying around him. If you ask me he was far too much over his head with himself, kinda like your friend Jack. But he was powerful, his pokemon were so good at healing themselves that none of them ever fainted during the entire League.”
“Did he have an Elekid too?” asked Vi without thinking.
“An Elekid? Not that I noticed…do you know him?”
“…No.”
“Than how do you…?”
“Ok you want the truth? That guy you’re talking about is called Damien, he was a childhood friend of Jack and we’ve been trying to find him. That was close damn it.”
“Oh I see, poor guy…but now that you mention it…before falling asleep I could swear I saw a Hypno, but I thought it was just a dream. It had a scar on his left eye, I remember that the guy, Damien, had a Hypno with a scar just like that too, but this is insane, those kids have all been missing for ages now.”
“You gotta be fucking kidding me. Jack wouldn’t…” said Vi shocked
“I wouldn’t what?” asked Jack sitting at the table with them suddenly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*****~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
