ER

LP: I changed my mind about a bit of the end plot, so there may not be as much yucky (yummy...xD!) bits as I had planned. I\'m feeling much less...Evil lately. It\'ll be a watered down WAFF maybe a little dom, But there will be a dark plot. As for the animal thing, I\'d rather not get into why.

Chapter Fourteen - "ER"

I shall throw a wrench into her conceptions of me; I\'ll make her see there\'s much more to me than plots of digital domination. I will show her I am much more than evil thoughts and darkness, more than my dark castle, more than all that meets the eye about the Digital Emperor Ken Ichijouji. I will teach her about the more intricate details in my persona; I will make her love me. Hahahaha! What\'s that Wormmon? I can\'t? I sure CAN, I will MAKE her love me. You\'re just a little Wormmon; you don\'t understand human emotions. I can make her do anything with the right stimulation and reward. All emotions are selfish; even the most selfless people feel things that cause it to be selfish. Don\'t you think Mother Theresa got some sort of high, some sort of drug-like kick of seeing the lives she touched, knowing it was her act that brought the heart of her God to them? Exactly. Any emotion can be provoked out; even love. The trick is making her think it\'s her heart, not my act, that caused it.

"HEY CLEAR THE WAY, WE\'VE GOT A COMATOSE CAR WRECK HERE!" Davis called out, growing aggrivated by the ignorance of the ER staff, whom were running about the hospital with other people. They couldn\'t very well tell them he was trashed in a digital evil temple by the most horrible man this side of the digital world. His loud shout had finally caught the attention of the float nurse, whom was holding a water glass up to the lips of another patient. She turned, and gasped.

"Oh! I\'m sorry, I thought he was just drunk and passed out! When did the rescue team get here and where did they go?"

"They didn\'t," explained Matt, whom was seemingly struggling with Cody\'s legs. "We found him totalled on the road and we knew he didn\'t have time to wait. So we brought him in." he spoke, throwing on a fake surfer-dude accent, whom was all hair and no brain. The float stared at him incredulously, as if he\'d damn near killed Cody himself.

"Is there any head trauma, any broken bones? Any lacerations?"

"No," started Joe, deciding to show off his medical prowess. "But he\'s got second degree burns on 99% of his body, most of the scarring being on his upper torso. I think he might have a snapped mandible or two, but no clean breaks in any major section of his extremities. He\'ll need restorative surgery stat, and probably a cat or two with some X-rays once his skin is looked after." The float stared at them as if they were three seperate people from three seperate alien universes; one was angry, one was dumb, one was a genius. She blinked it away, and started to process the information Joe gave him.

"Get him on that stretcher, then." she commanded, whirling away to prepare a saline/morphene drip. The trio of boys obeyed, and just as quickly as they moved him on, the stretcher was speeding away to the OR. Davis gave a sigh of relief; Cody was going to make it. He just knew it. But now that he had no distraction on for his mind, the loss of Jade flooded back to him. His eyes started to tear up, and he turned away from the other two to save face in front of the boys. Matt cast him a sympathetic glance, but Davis wasn\'t looking.

"She\'ll be okay, Davis." Matt spoke, softly, in case someone was listening in. "I can feel it. He wouldn\'t take her just to kill or hurt her; he wants something else. When Cody is stable, we can talk about rescuing her, okay? All of us." Davis let his eyes open as he looked over his shoulder at Matt.

"No. This is my fault; I should never have gotten Izzy to teach her about...them. Then she wouldn\'t\'ve gone to their....neighborhood, and he would never have traded out like that." He replied, trying to be vague about the secret.

"Don\'t blame yourself; it was inevitable. Remember what Izzy said? She only touched the mouse, and it...turned on her. What if she was alone and that happened, and she got...in? Alone? What then? Spiral?" Davis sighed. Matt was right; if she\'d gone alone, she could have been killed or worse. At least they knew, sort of, that she would be safe. The Emperor wouldn\'t just kill her after winning; he was holding her over their heads, like a victory trophie, like a steak over a starving dog, just out of reach. But, he knew they\'d come for her sooner or later - and most likely, would keep her protected very well.

"But, if we go after her, what\'s to say that he won\'t be ready? He\'ll expect us to go after her. He\'ll be ready, and it won\'t be easy."

"We\'ll have our...pets with us, and they\'re no roll-over-or-die pets, Davis. Besides, this is no place or time to be talking about this. Let\'s see if any nurses know anything about Cody.

Broken spirited and broken willed, Jade trudged along behind her master with a jerky, stammering pace, as if she were ready to faint. He\'d stuck a long leash around her wrist to make sure she didn\'t run away, but poor Requimon had been trapped in a muzzle, iron balls for his taloned feet, and was on a leash as well, forced to fly about with his muzzle roped shut. Not only did that stop him from biting, but from both his moves as well. Likely just a fluke of luck on the Emperor\'s side, it was the cherry on top of the pie that Jade had gotten herself into. But even so, she wouldn\'t trade it for anything; it meant the others were free, and safe. At least, until they were back in the digtal world again. Breaking into her thoughts as she was stopped abruptly was Mister Dominance. He\'d stopped in front of her, and she\'d walked into him. Or, more closely, fell into him. His arms, surprisingly gentle, wrapped around her. She didn\'t fight; she didn\'t care.

"Whoa whoa, hey now. You look as though you\'re about to faint. I can\'t have that; I will carry you."

"Bullshit you will, I\'m fine."

"Oh come now; my countenance isn\'t that bad. I\'m not a monster you know; I\'ll take good care of you. But look at you; you\'re walking all over the place, and you\'re covered in dust. You\'re in no shape to be walking; I\'ll carry you." he spoke matter-of-factly, and lifted her up into his arms, bridal style. She rolled her eyes, but nonetheless, was grateful that he insisted. She really was exhausted, and her mood on top of it all wasn\'t creating a \'let\'s walk a few miles to the evil castle of doom\' mood. She wrapped her arms around his neck lazilly, using his shoulder as a pillow. She may as well sleep; there would obviously be no arguing with this guy, ever. She may as well accept it. At least he wasn\'t whipping her or maiming her - yet. This kind solace was likely a rare gift, and she\'d only see it blue-moonly. She nested her nose in against his neck, and started to drift off to sleep. Ken however, was rather surprised at her tolerance of him. She seemed to be quite the firecracker before; had he broken her spirit? Had he ruined the shiny gem that he\'d come to covet within her? Perhaps she was merely tired - that had to be it.

Jade\'s eyes remained closed as she slowly regained consciousness; just in case it would alert Ken that she was awake. She wanted to sleep longer, but as her mind started perking into gear, she realized that she was no longer outside - nor in his arms. She felt warm, and humid. Curiosity got the better of her, and she opened her groggy arms - she was in a bath? She blinked, and took a second glance. No, she wasn\'t seeing things - she was in a bath. Confused, she glanced about - and caught the motion of a hand in her peripheral vision. The hand was holding a cloth, which soon found it\'s way to her chest. She tilted her sleep-filled head to look behind her, and jumped almost completely out of the water at what she saw. The captor who\'d been so evil before - was bathing her. She let out a shriek, and tried to peel herself from the bath - but her leg was chained down within the soaker tub.

"What-what are are you doing?!"

"I told you before; you were covered in dust. I couldn\'t just have that dust cake on that ivory skin of yours; you\'d ask for a bath anyway. What would you have me do; let the digimon, some of whom have claws as long as your head, wash you?" he spoke in a soft time, keeping his eyes glued on hers. She frowned, and slunk under the water once more. His eyes weren\'t roaming; but that wasn\'t to say they hadn\'t while she was asleep.

"Well...no..." she admitted, crossing her arms over her chest, letting her free leg cross over the other to hide her sex. "What else did you do to me besides strip me, feel me all over with a cloth, and see me naked?" she spoke in an accusing tone, staring up at the emperor, whom was in his earth clothes, somehow. His hair was down, and the goggles were missing.

"I\'ll have you know I did this in pure innocence, with no intention of taking advantage of you. I haven\'t touched you sexually; I\'m not quite into the \'rape her while she\'s sleeping\' business, Jade. I am rather reputable."

"Then why chain me down?"

"Because, I knew you\'d try to take off. It\'s cold in here; I didn\'t want you to catch pneumonia. Now, will you let me finish, or would you rather finish it yourself?"

"Yes, I would, actually. I\'m not in the habit of men bathing me."

"It\'s quite normal, you know."

"I know it\'s a Japanese thing; I\'m not used to it. It\'s a very sexual thing in most countries."

"Well Jade, forgive me for leading you on." he spoke, oddly calmly, and dropped the white cloth into the water. "Let me know when you\'re done; I\'ll be getting you something suitable to wear. I\'ll be back. Then I\'m sure you\'ll want food." Without another word, he slunk away - and much to her curious surprise, actually left her to bathe. She hadn\'t expected that sort of care. She knew this whole situation wasn\'t going to be a cake walk, but she didn\'t think he\'d make the extra effort to make it easier on her. She plucked up the hovering cloth, and stared at it incredulously. The digital emperor, the most evil man on the planet, had just bathed her - and hadn\'t taken advantage of her. Will wonders never cease?

"Your friend will make a complete recovery. He\'s lucky; any later binging him in would have been too late. It\'s likely he\'ll be rocky the first week, but after that, he should be on his feet enough to walk a bit. Now, what\'s his name for the medical report?" the float spoke, after emerging from the OR.

"His name\'s-" Davis started, but Joe interrupted him.

"-Damian. He\'s Damian Distress."

"Thanks. Damian should be done in the OR in a few hours." she spoke, whisking off like nurses do, towards the nurse\'s station. Matt smacked Joe\'s shoulder, giving him a quizzical glance, as if to say \'Wtf?\'

"We can\'t use Cody - we brought in a totally different person. How you gonna explain his sudden change?" Joe chided, under his breath. Matt and Davis frowned; he was right. He wouldn\'t be able to go home, either. They\'d have to change his whole identity; Cody was dead.

Jade let out a purr-like moan as she loafed about in the warm water around her. Sure, she liked a bath as much as the next female, and she may as well enjoy the bath while she could. There was no guarantee that Ken would let her have another one any time soon. It could be the last one she\'d have in a while. But, all things must come to an end, and verily, Ken entered the room with something in his hands. She frowned at the interruption, even though her bath water was cooling off. He picked this up, and smirked.

"Well, it seems you\'re not all piss and vinegar after all, hmm?" Jade flicked her eyes up at him. Maybe a little appreciation would go a long way in her new situation, she hypothesized.

"Thank you, Ken. I did need a bath..." she spoke. There was no sense being modest; she\'d already been seen naked and stripped by him. He raised a brow; gratitude. How curious. Perhaps she was much more pliable than he\'d first thought.

"You\'re welcome, Jade." Now it was her turn to raise her brow. She was expecting to correct her on using his name, rather than his title; but he hadn\'t. Curious.

"What did you bring me to wear? I hope it\'s nicer than those hideous skull-goth clothing." Ken smirked.

"I knew you didn\'t like them. I know you won\'t wear a dress; shame, I was going to pick out a pretty black lacey one, but the selection I\'ve picked out for you is surely the most accepting, I hope." He laid it down on the chair he\'d been sitting on to bathe her, which was behind her at the moment.

"Care to free me?"

"Of course..." he nodded, and started to roll up his sleeve. His hand slid into the water, and his touch found her foot. His hands and contact was gentle and soft; not what she\'d been expecting. He never let his eyes fall from hers, as if some kind of grand respect for her body. His fingers ran softly along her calf, past the ankle brace that held her. She let her gaze fall to watch his hand, but she said nothing - was she allowed to? He let his hand graze the back of her knee, before he withdrew, a thinking expression on his face. She let him - or rather, didn\'t stop him. His hand fell to the easily released clasp behind her ankle, and then retreated completely from the water. He wanted so deeply to let his touch travel all the way up her thigh and into her, but now was not the time - it had to be from her side first. He wasn\'t about to take advantage of her fear. He needed to prove to Wormmon - and to himself - that he could be loved - be MADE to be loved. He wanted her to see he wasn\'t completely evil. He wanted to be loved. He stepped back a few paces, and turned to leave - but, Jade was already pulling herself out of the bath.

"Where are your towels? Or am I to drip-dry?" Ken frowned. He didn\'t think about towels. He didn\'t bring any over from the real world. As large as his castle was, he had next to nothing within it. He just never had any real thought on possessions.

"I failed to realize I needed any - I usually bathe, then go straight to sleep; I don\'t need any. I suppose I overlooked that point." Jade crossed her arms over her chest, and frowned. That wasn\'t what she wanted to hear.

"It\'s cold in here. I\'m catching pneumonia." she spoke in a rather uninthused tone. Ken gave a faint chuckle; she still had spirit.

"I\'m sorry. Here." Ken whirled over to a nearby coatr ack, where his emperor clothing laid on hooks. He pulled off the cape, and wrapped it around her from behind. She gasped in exclamation, as just a second ago he was dashing off - she hadn\'t bothered to look. But now, she was enveloped in both his cape, and his arms. "You can use this..." he whispered, due to the close proximity to her ears. She shut her eyes tightly; how dare he be so sweet and sexy!
