A white Nissan JUKE rolled along the streets of Freeze City, then it swayed towards the highway. The speed of the vehicle picked up to flow evenly along with the rest of traffic. It's been nearly two hours since Kiba and Hige hit the road. With Toboe out of the house, the Moon teen could finally whip out his wild side, with romantic banter, titillating surprises, and questionable activities involving food. This weekend was going to be brief but powerful.
"Is this an abduction?" Kiba asked. Hige could be taking him to a ditch to dump his body once he's murdered him. He wouldn't know, he's been blindfolded since they'd left the house.
"It's an abduction of sorts - - I do plan on giving you back." He snickered.
"Right." He mock tried the handle when the car slowed; smiling hearing his boyfriend - or possibly murderer's - laugh. "This mask smells like lavender."
"Yeah, it's my mom's. Sorry." He shrugged. "My dad doesn't like ties; the only one he owns, he's wearing."
"A bandana?"
"I already spent so much money making this surprise, now I have to buy other things for it?"
"How long is the drive? I'm getting tired."
"Another hour and a half. You can sleep - you'll need it."
Kiba smiled. "For when you hunt me through the woods?"
"The only way I'm gonna kill you is with kindness, now, would you relax?" He waved his hand before his boyfriend's face to ensure that he can't see. "If you're nice, I'll stop for road snacks."
Kiba scoffed. "Whatever this is seems mostly to be catered towards making you happy."
"A big appetite is a blessing." He grinned by the double-meaning. Turning on the radio, he left on a cozy song.
Kiba slanted his seat a bit, relaxing in the position. "Where do stand on bathroom breaks?"
"I have a cup lined with napkins."
"That's disgusting."
Hige smiled. "I'll remove the blind once we're in the bathroom."
Kiba quieted. There was no getting out of it, so he'll let himself be taken for a surprise.

Tsume Keina entered building F5 in the Glacier district. He can honestly say this is a first for him. Table readings he's used to, but actor workershops is a first. According to Bardrom it's a requirement in BL for the actors to build chemistry for on camera. That's what draws in the crowds, builds a good buzz, and lands awards - and bigger paychecks.
'For this to be taking up three hours of my time, it had better pay-off.' He removed his aviator sunglasses, setting them atop his head. He pushed the metal door handle and entered the building.
Tsume looked around the room with a squint. The co-stars were already rehearsing; the first star looked around for his partner.
"He hasn't arrived, yet," informed the acting coach. She get an to pull her greying hair into a flip at the back of her head. Used to tying up his own hair, Tsume assisted the woman by holding up the ponytail, whilst she fixed it to the back of her head with a tortous comb-clip. "Thank you. You're welcome to join any group to run scenes."
Tsume noted no set pieces. It was unusual to him, this work environment. He was beginning to understand young people who gripe about school; it's not the academics getting them down, but the peers. Good thing he wasn't the nervous type. He walked over to two guys who're seated across from each other. "Who do you play?"
A man, with a medium-sized mole on his chin, replied. "Alex." Nodding to the younger man with a dyed grey streak, he answered for him. "Nekoto."
"I'm Stone." He sat.
"Ohhh, so you got the lead?" Nekoto cocked his head. "I can see that. You look like a stolid Stone." Thumbing through the script, he nods. "Opening scene?" Crawling towards the actor playing Alex, he positioned himself like he's seated in a car.
Tsume and Alex followed his lead, simulating three men in a car. And they began the dialogue of trying to coax the straight Stone into going to a gay club. It started out having the ex-model feeling like he'd left his former profession too soon, but twenty minutes into the repeatedly spoken dialogue, it was becoming - dare he describe it as... Fun. He doesn't know what the other two actors were in previously, but their craft was quite impressive. Their spontaneous laughter, despite having had to do it six times, never sounded faked. Whatever was cracking them up definitely earned its credit.
Aabroo Smith walked in about forty minutes later. He took Tsume's approach, scanning the room for his main co-star; he was able to locate him, and he went over to Keina and the others. He smiled at the laughing trio. "May I cut in?" He asked.
Nekoto stood up. "Absolutely! The guest of honor is here to free us from the car." He stood up.
"..'Bout time. What'd kept you?" Tsume stood up as well. He wasn't surprised to see he towered over Nekoto, the guy has a petite frame. Alex was a brick fortress. He must be at least 6'4".
"I'd say traffic, but I'd be lying." Aabroo shrugged. "I set my alarm, but for the wrong hour; figuring I'm late anyway, I bought a sandwich."
That was obvious; Smith smelled strongly of scrambled eggs and coffee. Alex pointed to his bag set down under a bench. He informed the newcomer to grab a mint or gum then join them.
Nekoto whispered to his earlier companions. "Commercial kids, am I right?"
"If he keeps that up, he'll be replaced." Commented Tsume, though with no intentions of being discrete about his thoughts, despite the approaching star.
"Makoto Iwada, at your service."
...
"Have you ever thought about it?" Asked character Makoto.
"What?" Asked Stone, irritation in his voice.
"What it would be like.. kissing a guy."
Stone stiffened a bit. "Sometimes. Only a thought, but, how can I not?"
Makoto nodded. "The room is full of guys kissing, but somehow straight best friends are dragged out to be ignored by the person who invited them."
"Then the friend has the nerve to keep checking on us, while they party."
"Yyyup. It's either die of uncomfortable embarrassment, or give into the bombardment of sensual fantasies."
Stone snorted a scoff. "Yeah." He straightened from his posture of leaning over a banister that is not actually there. He'll give a good Mime a 100 bucks, if he ever sees one again. This is not easy.
"D'you wanna give it a try?"
"Give what a try?"
Makoto looked at him, eyes curious rather than lustful. He's never kissed a man, but has thought about what it would be like. And since Stone is straight as well, what's the harm?
Tsume was about to turn the page to read how invested the kiss was between them, when Aabroo grabbed his shirt and, timidly, laid one on him. The movie star matched the timid kiss; however, he was surprised that his co-star had actually kissed him, he thought it was all just playing pretend today. They weren't on an actual set, after all. He opened his eyes and read from his script.
Their two scene colleagues watched with surprise. They had not expected real action, either. Tsume shoved Aabroo back from him, then continued with his lines.
"What was that?" He asked. "A little warning would have been nice." He ran the back of his hand across his mouth.
"Sorry, I got ahead of myself."
"I'm not surprised, I am the best looking guy in here."
Makoto squinted his eyes. "Right. So sad a grown man has to pretend that he's every guy in a place, just to have a life."
The pair look at each other, not with aggression. Just a sort of sizing-up. It's every day two straight guys meet at a gay club. And, everyone could use a new friend. They exchanged numbers. End scene. And they began again.
...
Tsume collapsed onto his bed. He was hurting for Toboe in the worst way. He doesn't want a toy, not now that he has the real thing. The actor rolled onto his side to locate his phone that landed on the bed during his flop.
'Hopefully he's not busy.' Classes have started a time ago. The college kid could be up to his ears in assignments. Or working to afford existence as an independent college goer. He waited out the rings, then finally the call went through. "You busy?"
# #
"Just a few steps more." Hige informed. He's got Kiba's hand, leading him through the woods.
Kiba had lost his joy of this little getaway the moment he smelled dirt. Camping. Seriously? How obnoxious was it to be out in the woods roughing it, when they could be in Maui, Bali, Saint exotic. Anywhere! But the woods? Well, makes sense. Hige does love trying to get him to have sex outdoors. He's managed to do it, too, at least a few times a year. He can still remember that day out in the snow...
'Maybe this won't be entirely bad.' Although, one more bug past his ear and he quit.
"Now, you know how my family is loaded, right?"
"Uh-huh."
"And you and I have both skipped out on boring college to earn money, and just live, right?"
"Right."
"Well, my dad eventually gave me my college money; after a half year of pestering him, and finally getting a job. But, all the same, he knows I'm really not going. And with that sweet cash..." He yanked the lavender scented sleep-mask away. "Tada!"
Kiba felt tears instantly prick his eyes. It wasn't... It couldn't really be... "H-Hige... you.."
"I had to do some digging to get the location, but... I got your family's cottage rebuilt." He grew quiet, seeing Kiba's distant expression. Maybe it wasn't a good surprise. He hadn't thought it would be nothing but a reminder of what, namely whom, made the place so special. It could easily be no place special. Just a home for vacationing. Nothing more. "Look.. I'm sorry."
Kiba didn't hear Hige. He only heard laughter. Conversations about nothing. Toboe crying, little howler was always on the brink of tears or complaints as an infant. "Toboe always followed me around, it drove me nuts.. He could barely walk, but it was always: "Kiba's going, me too" or something."
"Oh, yeah?" He stuffed his hands into his pockets. Locking down any interferences of movement. His tone low to be a part, not a problem.
"Yeah. It pissed me off, I wanted to explore the woods, but, Toboe was with me most of the time." He smiled. "Thank God for naps, or I'd never have had an adventurous side." He went on saying. "It wasn't always annoying, sometimes I really wanted Toboe around."
Hige followed Kiba into the home. "What did you do here?"
"Disconnected. We'd hunt for food - scavanger, not killing live animals; my parents hid food in thermal bags, and we'd find it." Kiba looked around the empty living room. So familiar. The kitchen, even the placement of the appliances! All there. And as he travelled upstairs he took notice of the familiar bedroom structure. He could picture everything inside, the furnishings. The photos. "Fishing was always fun. We'd play board games, and do karaoke." He could suddenly hear his father ruining his favorite song, all over again. "Hige, this is incredible."
Rubbing a finger under his nose, he grinned. "You really think so?"
"Yeah."
"Good cause, I was prepared to knock you out, bring you home, then play it off as a dream" he shrugged out his hand. "If you didn't like it."
"I like it. Thank you." He hugged him tightly.
Hige returned the warm embrace; nuzzling his cheek to Kiba's. "I want you to keep your old memories, but, make new ones, too." He leaned from the hug, to look at his boyfriend. "With me, and Toboe.. And - - let's face it, Tsume ain't goin' anywhere, so, we may as well include him to the chaos."
As much as Kiba hated it, Hige was right. If being the cause of his altered family did not deter Tsume - nor Toboe's - feelings for each other, nothing would.
Hige grinned. "The house isn't completely bare, by the way; so, how 'bout we make the first memory?" He went to the closet, and removed from it a thick fuzzy throw rug.
"Hige, you dog.."
"Aaarrrooo!" He chuckled. Lifting his shirt; he was pleased to see he was getting the response he hoped for.
Back in the city.
Another couple are fulfilling each other's desires. Tsume is on his back, humming in sporadic bursts as pleasure tickled his senses. Toboe is in no better shape himself; his hips are riding the heat at a slow pace. He can't even manage to hum, he's just breathing quietly against his boyfriend's neck. Now and then his lips purse to pepper kisses against the throbbing veins hidden there.
"Rough day," The young Wolf mumbled.
"The roughest." Tsume drawaled back. "Acting workshop is... a whole nother beast of exhaustion." He cupped Toboe's cheeks, turning his head to kiss his lips. "Mmm.. It's like being a dumb Mime. You're supposed to imagine everything, but, you speak."
"Aww." He massaged the scarred chest beneath his hands; lazily, around and around.
""I was stuck in an endless loop of 'Takes'."
"Geez, didn't you get any right?" His hips picked up the bobbing pace just for a brief moment, but he slowed back down as exhaustion swept through him again. "Roll over."
"Sure, make me do all the work." He rolled them over; rocking gradually. Unintentionally sensual in feel but completely meant to lack, he's too tired to really go for it. "They were mostly all really good. But, that's the point of the workshop. We have to just be comfortable, that way when we're on camera we just go."
"Cool."
"What," he kissed Toboe's neck. "About," his shoulder then collarbone. "You?" He kissed him deeply on the lips. "How's school going?"
"Well, I'm starting to see the beauty of just working instead of going to school for another four years. I'll be elderly by the time I get out of prison." He arched his back as Tsume picked up the pace.
"I can see that." They silenced during a kiss.
"What's for dinner?" Called an unwanted guest from downstairs.
"Go away." Commanded the pair loud enough to be heard, without really putting effort into it. Tiredness still gripped them both.
"Ohhh, I got ya." Spike loudly called back.
However, for him to 'get them', he made a show of taking his time with leaving. He took leftovers, heated them in the microwave, and then walked out to leave them their privacy to continue with what they were somewhat invested in doing.
"Gasper is my roommate, though, so it's not all bad."
"Oh."
"Are things working out with that Smith guy?"
"Mhmm."
"Good." He pushed Tsume back. With a new position of sitting on his lap, second wind brewing, the young Wolf hurried things along for them with his rapid pace.
It felt incredible. Lately, with school keeping them apart; Tsume working; not to mention, Toboe having topped him the last few times they'd had sex, he really missed feeling the heat inside of his little lover. So this languid, do-but-don't right now was very needed. Getting to slowly exist inside of Toboe was the sweetest of life's moment. He released himself of the day's exhaustion; lying them down on the bed; enjoying the hand playing in his hair. It's been two months, and he still can't believe Toboe is his. After everything. So many days spent fighting for this; years apart; a low-key hatred for what he'd done, not just from the Wolf brothers but from within himself. Although, selfishly, he wasn't as upset as he should be. The loss of their parents did allow him to be with Toboe.
He leaned up on his elbows; the rapid drum of Toboe's heartbeat left his audio, and he scooted himself up to kiss his boyfriend on the cheek, lips, then neck.
"I love you."
"I love you, too."
Tsume caressed Toboe's cheek with the back of his hand; looking into his eyes; he took a deep breath, but decided against his next words.
"What?" Asked Wolf, who noticed the shift in the air.
"Nothing. Just thinking about how cute you are; I almost embarrassed myself saying something stupid."
"You do that every time you talk, what's one more humiliation." He laughed when a pillow met his face.

"Hige, really, thank you for this." Kiba said softly; his gaze in the clean, char and ash free fireplace. "I have no great love for the past of the former cottage, it was the people and moments that made it so great." He locked eyes with his boyfriend. "I really wanna create new memories, and enjoy the old ones that haunt me." He sat up.
The setting sun left shades and hues of all kind along Kiba's exposed back. It looked as though he was seated in front of a projection beam. Hige brushed the back of his fingers along the images of the past touching his lover's body, still very much a part of him. But, now he'll add to it. He'll be a part. Good and the, unavoidable, bad times.
"I've thought a lot about this, for longer than I needed to... And, I know we're young, but.." He looked over his shoulder, then leaned back down to rest propped up on his side. "I wanna be happy with you for the rest of our lives."
"Me, too. Wait, what?" Did he hear right, or was he hearing in advanced?
"Will you marry me, Hige?"
Hige, wide-eyed, looked perplexed. Do those words make sense? They do... They do! "No way!" He shouted before tackling his fiancé.
