(A Saiyuki Fanfic)

Fourteen

Vayu had one hand resting on the side of her head the other on the
wheel as she drove; she shot nervous glances in to the rear vision mirror, when
Cyran spoke up.

"There's a fork in the road ahead make sure Hakkai sees you turn left."�

Vayu turned the blinker on before taking the left fork going slow so
Hakkai who was following them could see.

Raido groaned from the backseat before she jilted. "Heya honey what's
up?"� Gojyo asked.

"I feel sick"� pull over!"� Raido almost shouted.

Vayu pulled over and Raido jumped from the car before they all blinked
and watched as she started hurling.

"What the hell?"� Gojyo blinked.

Vayu looked to the side as Hakkai pulled up next to her. "How's she
holding up?"� He asked.

"Good, she's just not holding anything down."� Vayu sighed. "She's
awake"� So something must be up."�

Raido stood up and she looked at the denim jacket she wore over the
black Sanzo top and the casual off white khaki pants.

"Raido"�"� Hakkai looked at her. "Are you okay?"�

She lent on the side of the car. "It's so evil"�"� She murmured. She
nearly hit the ground unconscious when Gojyo reached over and caught her.

Sanzo looked at Sherekhan. "What's she talking
about? What's evil?"�

"It's just a couple of surviving demons in our town that follow Gyumou,
only a couple I swear we had them locked up in demon proof cells, she could be
sensing their energy."� Kaika offered.

Gojyo lifted Raido back in to the back of the car. "Evil enough to wake
her up just so she can throw up and pass out again"� great."� He sighed.

"We don't really have a choice we can deal to that later. Raido needs
medical attention."� Hakkai pointed out.

"It's basically just straight ahead from now, follow the road through."�
Cyran explained.

"Still you better lead the way just in case."� Hakkai smiled.

Cyran winked at him. "I love it when a man tells me to lead."�

Vayu shot her a glare and Hakkai laughed nervously. "Oh boy"�"�

"Just drive will you, you old prune."� Cyran gave Vayu a light-teasing
poke.

Vayu started the car up again and headed off down the road.

Gojyo looked at the unconscious Raido her head on his lap once again. "�They
have to be some really evil demons to make her throw up like that.'

Vayu looked at him in the rear vision mirror. "You have to remember
that the bite could have altered her sensitivity to evil."� She pointed out.

Gojyo looked at her with flat eyes. "Will you stop reading my mind?"�

"Well you should stop thinking, you might damage something."� Vayu
retorted.

Cyran just smirked. "You are nasty did anyone tell you that?"�

"I believe you did."� Vayu looked at her in reply.

Cyran gave a light chuckle. "Awwww I'm flattered that you remember."�

~*~FLASHBACK~*~

"The Goddess Vayu?"� Tenpou tapped his chin for a moment and he shook
his head. "Can't say I've seen her around here in a while, last time I saw her
was probably about fifty years ago, she headed out on some mission to earth to
help the mortals out."� He replied.

Perth looked at Berkana. "See Kana told you she was dead."�

"She is not dead, more than likely reincarnated."� Kana retorted.

Tenpou smiled. "So that would explain why fertility was on the uprise
among the mortals these last fifty years."�

"I doubt she could do all that, trust me there's alota horny men out
there willing to contribute but not to deal with the aftermath."� Kana remarked.

Perth looked at her with flat eyes. "You're just nasty you know that?"�

"And I look like I care? I don't I'm not mortal it's not my problem to
care."�

Tenpou smiled at her as he put a hand on her shoulder. "Really Kana,
one day you'll find someone you deeply care about and it'll be a different
tune, I can promise you that."�

Kana looked at Tenpou's hand on her shoulder and her cheeks went a
bright red. "I don't know about that, it's like finding a man that will go
through Perth instead of her going through all of them."�

"God you are in nasty mode today what's got you so pissed?"� Perth
asked. "I did nothing to deserve that."�

Tenpou smiled. "Oh I think I know. Because your mother Vayu has been
gone for so long, you were suppose to get your employment list from her. So
you're a goddess currently without work or status"�"�

Kana blinked and looked at him. "No"�it's not"�"� Her face went redder.

"I'll tell you what I need an assistant to work in my office I know
it's no place for a Goddess of women's mysteries but perhaps your powers could
come in useful and you could help me sort my papers out and organize them, at
least until your mother returns to us then you could find out what sort of
employment she wanted you in."� Tenpou offered.

Kana was beet red. "I.I.I"� that is it"�"� She began.

"She'll take it!"� Perth shot out. "Tenpou thank you she'll be here
bright and early tomorrow morning!"� She grabbed Kana's hand and dragged her
away waving good-bye.

Kana stopped Perth round the corner. "Are you crazy?!"� She hissed at
her roommate.

Perth smiled. "Not crazy sly, I know you like him."�

Kana's cheeks went red again. "What? Uh"� What makes you say that?"�

"I'm the Goddess of secrets and that's one secret you can't keep from
me, Dagas or Laguz."� Perth replied.

Kana let out a sigh. "So I'm that obvious am I?"�

"Fraid so, it's just you're so predictable when it comes to him, you've
liked him since when he first taught us in school, the way you'd sit at the
front of the class and stare at him dreamily and always be the first with
assignments and homework done in that class compared to everything else. Now
you get to be his assistant, which means after hour perks."� Perth smiled at her
slyly and nudged her with her elbow and winked at her, causing Kana to go
bright red again.

"Shut upppppp."� Kana whined in a very untypical manner of herself
before covering her flaming cheeks.

"Oh God you are in love with him aren't you? I thought it was a crush
but that expression is love."� Perth smiled. "We should call Laguz in to hook
the two of you up."�

"Oh hell no you don't! Beside's she's busy sneaking around."� Kana
huffed.

"Sneaking around? Laguz?"� Perth asked.

Kana blinked for a moment. "Oh you know her."� She covered quickly.
"Looking for her next chocolate fix."� She shifted her eyes away from Perth's
look.

Perth just looked at her and then smiled. "Yeah good point, that girl
loves chocolate almost more than sex, it's wrong for a Goddess of her label."�

One year later"�

It was the first time in ages the four Goddess had been able to catch
up with each other, they were lounging round the flour of Homura's bed room
while he was out.

"I can't believe you tie dyed his cape."� Laguz looked at her. "It's
wrong."�

"No I'm the Goddess of change, it's my Goddessly duty to change things,
like the color of his wardrobe"� Besides he has like I don't know a million
other capes out there."� Dagas replied.

Kana had her head across the small of Laguz's back while Perth painted
her nails. "We hardly see you two anymore."� Perth sighed. "So how's the work
going?"�

Dagas let out a yawn. "Training the new routines in to the tenki army
is like the most boring job I've ever had, and working under Kenren is a pain,
I do anything wrong and he thinks I'm doing it to get his attention so he can
punish me later."� She rolled her eyes. "What about you Kana? How's working
under Tenpou going?"� Dagas teased.

Kana glared at her. "Oh shut up."�

"I take it it's going well then."� Perth laughed. "You should see her
when she gets back, she's got this pathetic love sick look on her face, it's
really quite a sight to see."�

*WHOMP*

"Shut up!"� Kana snapped.

Dagas just smiled. "I guess this is it then"�"�

Kana looked at her suddenly. "Dee?"�

"If this is as exciting as our lives are going to get, then you know I
want out."� Dagas remarked and she sat up running her hands through her red
hair.

"Isn't Kenren satisfying enough for you?"� Perth looked at her. "Because
trust me he's quite happy he tells me Goddess of change, everytime's
different."�

Dagas went red on the cheeks before thumping Perth with a pillow.

*PAP*

Perth laughed and she just smiled. Kana smiled at the two, "Oh trust me
she's happy with him, it's just up here it's boring and even my mother's escaped
to earth somewhere."�

"Vayu's gone?"� Laguz blinked. "But when?"�

"Apparently when we left for the Goddess boarding school from hell."�
Perth replied.

"Fifty years and no one's seen her"�"� Dagas looked down. "That's like my
parents I don't see them either, all I see is Homura."�

"Ooooh Homura-sama."� Laguz let out a love sick sigh.

Dagas raised an eyebrow. "Ew will you stop that?"�

"Na-uh."� Laguz held her hands to her face, her cheeks a bright red as
she let out a little squeal of happiness.

"Hey what's this thing I hear going round about you and the monkey
sage?"� Kana asked.

Laguz blinked. "Goku? Who told you that?!"�

"Nataku"�"� Kana replied. "You three have been sneaking round and hanging
out, you have a duty as the Goddess of occult you know?"�

"Actually your right she has been neglecting in letting me get laid
with that hot Konzen."� Perth added.

"Noooooooooo I haven't."� Laguz complained in a whine. "It's not
sneaking round. Konzen asked me to keep them occupied."�

"Asked more like threatened you too or else he'd revoke your chocolate
supplies."� Kana added.

"Stop reading my mind."� Laguz whined.

Kana just smiled. "You're all so easy to read you know that?"�

Dagas smiled. "Some of us more than others."�

Kana looked at her. "So you still working on that blocking spell huh to
keep things to yourself huh?"�

"Kana trust me when I say some secrets should just stay that way,
secret. And there are some things that people have in their head that should
stay there, a darkness that doesn't need to be released."� Dagas stood up and she
stretched.

Kana looked at her. "I don't read everything from everyone, just the
things that are louder than the rest. It's not easy to block, to hear all these
voices around me all the time"�"�

Dagas paused by the door. "Sounds like you want out just as much as I
do."�

"I guess what I want is to see my mother's face again."� Kana looked off
to the side.

Dagas looked down. "Must be nice to actually share the same parents
with your siblings and not have a crazy brother who only wants the best for
you, when the best is just to dull."�

"Just so you know you plan on leaving us"� We will follow you. No matter
where you go."� Kana pointed out. "I don't care who will stand in our way, we
stick together, no one suffers alone here. One of us has a problem we all have
one."�

Dagas turned round from the door and she smiled. "Good then here's my
problem. There's several perfectly good capes in Homura's wardrobe and I'm out
of talcum powder"�"�

"Noooooooo, don't."� Laguz complained.

"Oooooh I am sooooo in."� Kana smirked.

"Bad you two."� Perth scolded.

"Yeah bad."� Laguz echoed.

"I know that's why I'm in also."� Perth grinned.

"Noooooo!"� Laguz whined. "Leave Homura-sama alone."�

~*~*~*~

Homura looked at the three Goddesses and he let out a sigh. "My dear
Laguz I can't believe you let them get away with that."�

"I'm sorry Homura-sama, but they wouldn't listen to me."� Her arms
flailed up and down.

Kenren stood off to the side with Konzen, Tenpou, the Merciful Goddess,
Goku and Nataku.

The Merciful Goddess just smiled. "I must say the four of them
definitely liven up the hallways. It sure beat the normal drudgery that goes on
up here."�

"How can you say that? My entire files for the day were ruined soaked
in glitter and talcum powder they're unreadable."� Konzen's eye twitched.

Tenpou smiled. "So Kenren, my good friend where are you hiding the ring
leader?"�

"I'm not hiding her."� Kenren looked at them as the others looked at
him. "What?"� He asked seeing all their disbelieving looks.

"I'll go check his bedroom."� Tenpou smiled. "And for good measure Kana
can you assist me please?"�

Kana blushed as she walked past Homura her head lowered and he just
smiled. "I can understand my capes, but did you girls really have to involve
Goku and Nataku in on the talcum powder and glitter fight?"�

"It was an accident."� Perth shuffled her feet about. "It was just in
fun, no body got hurt."�

That was the last Kana heard as she followed Tenpou out of the room and
he smiled as he looked at her smiling. "I've never seen Konzen so upset before,
you four really are a handful to manage when you get together you know that?"�

"I'm sorry, we just got carried away."� Kana apologised looking down at
the ground.

Tenpou laughed. "It's not me you have to say sorry to, though I don't
think Konzen will take sorry very well."� He just smiled at her causing Kana to
blush in embarrassment. "We find Dagas and get her to change the notes back
from the talcum powder and glitter covered paper to the normal documents
they're suppose to be and then we'll probably have to separate you four for just
a little while til your hyper activeness wears down."�

Kana nodded slowly. "I'll accept any punishment given to me."�

Tenpou looked at her. "Really Kana, that's not like you, where's your
stubborn streak normally you'd blame your friends all the way?"�

Kana looked at him. "I guess they really are my friends now."� She just
smiled. "That's actually comforting to know."�

Tenpou stopped outside Kenren's room and he looked at Kana. "Is she
hiding in here from Homura?"�

"I'm not saying."� Kana remarked.

"I take that as a yes."� Tenpou remarked and he knocked on the door
before entering and he looked round the glitter-decorated bedroom and he just
laughed. "Well I must say Kenren definitely likes some sparkle in his room."�

Kana snickered. "That will so teach him."�

"Really Kana you can be quite mean to Kenren."� Tenpou looked at her
with a smile.

"What I didn't do this, he should really pick someone a bit more mature
to chase about."�

"Are you saying I'm immature?!"� Dagas exclaimed. "You're mean you know
that?"�

Tenpou smiled seeing Dagas standing in the bathroom door and she
blinked seeing him there and covered her mouth. "Uh"� busted."� She hid her
glitter covered hands behind her back.

Kana looked at Dagas. "It's my job to be mean, you should know that."�

"There's mean and then there's meeeeeeeeean, you're so the latter."�
Dagas remarked and Tenpou stepped away from the door.

"Anyway culprit caught, Konzen is going to love punishing you."� Tenpou
laughed.

"Maaaaaaaan."� Dagas complained. "I was just trying to make the place a little
less boring."�

"Red and gold glitter"� with white talcum powder well it's an
interesting theme for heaven, but not what we're looking for this season, next
one maybe?"� Tenpou smiled.

Dagas walked to the door with a defeated sigh.

The three walked back to the main area and Tenpou smiled. "Um Kenren,
I'd avoid going in to your room for a bit"�"�

His eye twitched and he looked at Dagas. "Honey what'd you do?"�

Dagas just smiled.

"This is what you get for sleeping with women fresh out of school."�
Konzen remarked.

Homura looked at Kenren and the two looked at each other. "You slept
with my sister?"�

"Hey you slept with her best friend."� Kenren defended.

"Homura?"� Dagas looked at him then to Laguz. "And Laguz"� oh my god that
is soooooooooooooooooo GROSS! EW!"� She shuddered.

Homura just smiled at Dagas. "Now Dagas my dear sister can you please
revert your damage?"�

Dagas sighed and she waved her hand about, the talcum powder covered
teenage goddess and their damage reverted back to before the incident.

Konzen grabbed her by the back of the collar. "And now time for your
punishment you little brat. Goku with me now, you helped you suffer also."�

"Awwww."� Goku complained as he followed the two his head lowered.

Homura looked at Laguz. "Well the cat's out of the bag now my dear. The
rest is up to you and Dagas to sort out between yourselves."�

He walked past Kana and she watched him walk out before walking up to
Laguz. "Dagas might not want to talk to you for a while."�

Laguz looked down. "It's okay, she'll be okay, she is the Goddess of
change, she seems to like change."�

Perth smirked. "I'd like to change a few things myself."�

"Since when can you change from being a slut?"� Kana asked.

Perth raised a brow. "You know you can be really mean you know that, if
you weren't my friend I'd be insulted."�

Kana looked at her. "Then as a friend know this, I'm telling you the
truth, it hurts, don't do that for other people's satisfaction, don't give them
a reason to be mean before they get to know you."�

Perth blinked shocked for a moment. "Oh my god, who are you and what
have you done with Kana?!"� She joked.

Kana looked at her with flat eyes. "Oh shut up, I'm not always mean."�

"Yes you are you pick on me all the time!"� Laguz remarked.

"I wasn't asking you."� Kana looked at her eyes narrowed.

Laguz pointed her arm waving up and down as she pointed. "See look look
look mean it's a meeeeeeeeeean look!"�

Kana pulled out a block of chocolate. "Be quiet and you'll get this."�

"Ooooh okay!"� Laguz shut up instant and Kana handed her the chocolate
the pink haired goddess just sat down on the spot munching on the block of the
chocolate.

"You have her tamed"� that's scary."� Kenren remarked from the doorway.

"What can I say I have a gift with animals and small children."� Kana
smirked.

~*~END OF FLASHBACK~*~

"I can see the lights of the town ahead."� Gojyo remarked from the
backseat and he looked down at Raido he placed a hand to the side of her face.

"I'll get us there don't you worry Raido isn't the only insane driver
here"�"� Vayu remarked.

Cyran looked at her. "I didn't need to know that while I'm riding
shotgun."�

Vayu just grinned before slamming her foot down. "Hold on to something
the sooner we get Raido patched up the sooner we can move on."�

"HYUUUUUUUU!"� Fafnir squawked as she accelerated in vehicle form racing
towards the town.

~*~*~*~

In the Town"�

The two vehicles pulled up outside the twenty-four hour clinic and
Gojyo scooped Raido up in his arms before jumping out of the car, Cyran jumping
out and helping by opening the doors for Gojyo before heading through the doors
hurriedly after him.

Vayu looked on and she then looked to Sherekhan. "Now's the time to
tell me anything, if you wanted to protect Gojyo from the truth."�

"It's just a demon town that hasn't been infected by the black mist
we're like any other town, we just chose to live away from the humans when
demons started turning renegade, not all of us are weak push overs that like to
be hunted down, this is our haven, it's protected us so far."� Sherekhan looked
at Vayu.

"Sooner or later this town won't be able to protect you anymore, the
black mist is everywhere, you better become stronger or else you'll become that
which we kill on the way to find an answer for what's happening."� Vayu
remarked.

Sherekhan looked at her and got out of the car walking towards the
clinic Vayu just pulled out a cigarette and lit up as she looked at the clinic
doors.

"�You better survive the damn night Raido.' Vayu remarked to
herself mentally. "�Or I'll bring you back from the dead just to kill you
again.'

~*~*~*~

Later on"�

Gojyo sat by Raido's bedside and he looked at Sherekhan watching him
from the doorway. He smiled at her as she walked in and pulled up a chair next
to him.

"You care for her, but she's not like us demons, she's not like the
humans and she's mean to you"� why do you put up with it?"� Sherekhan asked
looking at the unconscious Raido.

Gojyo looked at Raido and he smiled, "Because when I first saw her
Shere, before she even knew me who I was, she turned round on that doorstep
spotting me she saw me the red hair and red eyes like her own and she smiled at
me, a smile from her that felt like I'd seen it somewhere before, then I saw
her red hair and eyes and knew she wasn't like the humans either and she could
still smile at me like that knowing what was out there."�

~*~FLASHBACK~*~

Gojyo stopped outside the house he'd seen the priestess on the day
before when she arrived in the town he'd called home for a while. "�She's
completely new here, new meat"�' He walked up to the pathway and knocked on the
door.

He stood there and waited for a moment the door opened and he blinked
as she stood there dressed in jeans and a shirt another shirt tied round her
waist and she blinked seeing him there.

"Um"� hi"�"� She looked at him.

"Hi."� He remarked and leaned in the doorway.

"Gojyo!"� He looked at the teenager inside.

"Tei how ya doing kiddo?"�

"Great finally got my first date tomorrow that advice you gave me
helped out a lot!"� Teigh grinned.

Gojyo grinned. "Good to hear. This your sister?"� He asked.

"Yep."� Teigh smiled. "She's actually my half sister, but that's okay,
she's still my sister."�

Gojyo grinned at her. "Look priestess we got off to a rocky start
yesterday."�

She just nodded. "Yeah we did look it was wrong of me to threaten you
like that, it's just I've had guys hitting on me for a long time."�

Gojyo looked at her. "Honey, have you seen yourself? Do you even know
why they do?"� He asked.

She blinked for a moment shaking her head and she smiled, it was that
smile, the one he would tell himself all he wanted to see this time around, she
had come back to her family, he would have plenty of time before trying
anything further.

"Well I don't think I'm all that special."� She looked down.

He reached over and touched the side of her face. "Trust me honey
you're more than special."�

"GOJYO!!!!"� A female voice shouted and he cringed and looked over as
Vayu stalked up the driveway and grabbed him by the ear.

"OW!! Hey! Ow! Ow! Ow! Not so hard honey!"� He exclaimed.

He saw the priestess laugh lightly and she covered her mouth and waved
as he was pulled away. "Bye."� She waved. "We'll meet again sometime."�

He let out a defeated sigh as Vayu dragged him back to his apartment
and let go of his ear finally and looked at him, that stern Vayu look, he
couldn't seduce this woman she was tougher than rocks and she was the only one
woman in the entire city not fawning over him, and she had to be one of the
better looking ones that would have looked great on his arm as he played cards.

"Damnit Vayu, couldn't you see I was working there, I nearly got her
name."�

"You're not getting her name, you're not getting her to sleep with
you."� Vayu jabbed him in the chest.

"What?"� he blinked then smiled. "Oh I see she plays the other side of
the fence, so are you two-?"�

*WHACK*

"Owwwww!"� He rubbed his head and looked at Vayu's fist on his head.

"I do not, and she does not and we are not."� Vayu stated. "She's a
priestess, which means she has vows she has to abide by. Plus don't go there, I
know you've had a pretty bad past"� but hers, hers is sadder, she's conflicted
at the moment"� she has her Hakkai moments, so just leave her be okay?"� She
walked off.

"Wait how'd you know about Hakkai's past?"� Gojyo looked at her as she
walked off.

Vayu paused where she walked. "I can't block a lot of things out it's
the louder ones that I hear normally, except with him, they're the ones that
give you nightmares and wish you never met a demon, I don't hear his, I see
them instead they come in flashes, painful sad flashes."� She pulled the hood of
her cloak over her head and walked off back to her house. "Besides we're
leaving on a trip later today, so no point trying to start anything, we'll be
gone this time tomorrow."�

Gojyo watched as she walked off and he sighed crossing his arms.
"Dagnabit and that priestess was hot too."� He turned round and blinked seeing
Hakkai standing there looking on after Vayu his expression unreadable. "Hey
Hakkai are you alright?"�

Hakkai blinked for a moment. "Oh yeah I'm fine."� He smiled in reply.
"So did you tell her about me?"�

"Hell no, she just knows these things, beats me how she got that
ability, but sometimes I bet you it's got to be a pain in the ass."�

"So she's a natural then."� Hakkai mused. "That must have it's own
sadness to feel and see everyone else's pain going on around you, knowing it's
never your own, but still feeling all that and seeing it"�"� He trailed off. "She
must really be suffering, that poor girl."�

Gojyo stuffed his hands in his pockets. "No wonder she's such a grouch
then, she sure makes Sanzo look like a picnic at times."� He blinked suddenly.
"Natural what?"� He asked suddenly.

Hakkai looked at Gojyo. "Clairvoyant, psychic, fortune teller, one of
those types, I can't say I've seen her smile not once since we met yesterday."�

Gojyo looked at him. "Hakkai I've known her for over a year and she's
only smiled once in that time and that was kicking some guy's ass when he tried
to grab hers. I don't think a smile is something you wanna see on her face,
it'll probably scare people."�

Hakkai just smiled. "I don't know she might suit it."�

Gojyo shook his head. "Whatever man."�

~*~END OF FLASHBACK~*~

Gojyo looked out the window as he sat there next to Raido's bedside the
doctor stepped back and Gojyo turned to look at him.

"Will she be alright?"�

"She'll be fine, that was a large amount of snake venom she took in."�
The doctor remarked.

Gojyo looked at the single wristband on the doctor's wrist. "�A power
limiter, Shere was right, they still wear them, but then why haven't they been
attacked yet?'

The doctor looked at the wristband then to Gojyo and he smiled. "You
seem surprised I still wear this. It only comes off when we're under attack, it
is the only time I'll ever remove it, but only if it's necessary, if the town
were under attack, you see even we get attacked by our own kind now, they call
us traitors. We just chose not to fight for whatever it is they're fighting
for, we're not better than the humans, but we're not like them either, so we
chose to live here a peaceful life."� He explained then smiled. "Well you should
watch out for her, I'm sure looks like that will attract some attention."�

Gojyo stood up and he picked Raido up and looked at the doctor. "Yeah
she's pretty much able to take care of her self though, but I will."� He walked
out of clinic and saw Sherekhan standing there and she was smiling away as she
was talking freely to a couple of guys.

"Awwww c'mon Shere baby, you know it's all good."� One of them remarked.

"Yeah we're good for it Shere, please you gotta come, the other guys
think it'll be a blast, bring Kaika c'mon you gotta, it's all the new rage"�"�
The second added.

Gojyo stepped up behind her and the two looked at him. "Go on beat it
you brats, she's too old for you, besides the girl's got other plans."�

Sherekhan looked over her shoulder a Gojyo and she just smiled sheepishly.
"Gojyo"�"�

The two guys looked at him before heading off.

"So what do you think of our town?"� Kaika asked smiling up at him.
"It's nice isn't it?"�

"A regular demon safe haven."� Gojyo remarked. "So
this five star hotel you mentioned. It'd be nice about now."�

"Well the others are already booked in, we booked you in too."� Kaika
smiled.

"I figured you'd want to share a room with the priestess to make sure
she sleep okay tonight."� Sherekhan explained as she led the way smiling up at
him.

Gojyo looked at her smiling face and he raised a brow. "What? What's
that grin for?"�

"Well you should have seen the look on his face, he was so happy to see
your friends."� Sherekhan remarked.

Kaika's fist shook. "We should have waited til he left, you didn't have
to do that to get them a room Shere."� She frowned. "Lecherous old man."�

Gojyo blinked. "Shere"� what's you have to do to get us a room?"�

Sherekhan smiled. "It's nothing."�

"She had to let him feel her breasts."� Kaika told Gojyo.

He stopped. "What? Shere?!"� He looked at her. "Why'd you"� why'd you do
that?"�

She blushed. "It's okay Gojyo"� it's not like I'm anything special."�

He sighed. "Shere listen to me, you are special, trust me on that. You
may not have noticed but since we ran in to the other town over every man has
been checking you out, yet you remain oblivious to it, you are special, with
the gift of looks worthy to a Goddess, please just don't berate yourself. Next
time I want to hear from you I want to know you're alive and not dead in a
ditch somewhere because some pervert got his way with you."�

Kaika just smiled at Gojyo. "You are the sweetest thing, why can't I
have a little brother like you?"�

Gojyo grinned at her. "Well honey I'd rather be more than a little
brother to you."�

*SLAP*

"Ow!"� He looked down and blinked as Raido's eyes opened. "Priestess?"�

"You're the pervert, you pervert."� Raido muttered weakly and Gojyo set
her on her feet as she leaned on him.

"Damn that's some doctor."� Gojyo looked back at the clinic.

Raido let out a breath as she lent on him.

"Well we'll be back tomorrow to show you round. Here's the key to your
room."� Sherekhan smiled and placed a key in Gojyo's hand and motioned to the
hotel. "And that's where you're staying for the night."�

Gojyo looked up and Sherekhan smiled as she skipped off with Kaika
waving bye. "Dagnabit, priestess five star is an understatement."� He scratched
behind his head.

Raido looked up shielding her eyes, it seemed like the building almost
stretched to the heavens. She took a step forward and held her arm.

"Priestess?"�

She held up her hand. "I can walk on my own."�

Gojyo looked at the key in his hand. "You know we're sharing a room
honey you need someone to watch over you tonight."�

"Doubt it. I'm going to ask for my own room."� She walked inside Gojyo
followed.

Raido stopped dead seeing the lobby of the hotel, it was busy there
were people bustling round bellhop's handling bags, others carrying towels
towards the sauna's another taking a trolley of food to the elevator.

"I'll be damned."� She breathed as she walked up to
reception and looked at the old man behind it.

"How may I help you my dear?"� He smiled at her.

She smiled back. "Well my friends are booked here and I have to share a
room with a pervert so I was wondering could I get my own room for the night?"�
She asked.

The old man smiled and he looked at Gojyo. "This young man your
pervert?"� He asked.

Raido looked over her shoulder at Gojyo and he held up the key. "Which
floor is this room on?"� He asked looking round seemingly just as stunned as she
was by the five star quality.

Raido blinked as she caught the old man looking at her strangely and
she stepped back. "Floor six, to you right after you get out of the elevator."�
She looked down and he eyebrow twitched seeing the old man's eyes focused on
her chest.

"My eyes are up here"�"� She growled.

Gojyo blinked for a moment and he looked at the old man. The elderly
man looked up at Raido.

"I'm so sorry my dear, I can give you a free room for a cup of your
womanhood. Eh-heh heh heh."� He chuckled his hands twitching.

"What?!"� Raido exploded and before she could hit him she felt her self
grabbed.

*WHOOSH*

"Huh?"� She looked at Gojyo as he was standing firmly infront of her his
own eyebrow twitching in annoyance holding her close up to his chest.

"Sorry grand pop if I don't get a cup like hell you do."� He remarked.
He grabbed her by the arm and she blinked as he pulled her towards the lift.
"C'mon priestess, I'd rather you shared a room with me tonight, than let an old
pervert grab you for a free room."�

Raido let Gojyo pulled her in to the lift and he hit the button and she
looked down at his hand holding on to her wrist and she felt her cheeks heat up
as she looked down.

"�What's this feeling in my chest? He's just holding my wrist but
it's pounding, my heart is pounding"�'

The lift door opened and she followed Gojyo as he led her out of the
lift and down the hall, he looked at the number on the key and matched it to
the door and he looked back at Raido seeing her standing there her face red and
he blinked before looking down at his other hand that held her wrist.

Placing the key in the lock he unlocked the door before giving her
wrist a jerk and she let out a gasp as he spun round in time to catch her
slamming in to his chest.

"You know honey I saved your life back there, I got you to a clinic in
time to have that snake demon's venom extracted, and then again with that old
lecher. I say one night with me is payment enough."� He grinned. "I can show you
how poisonous I can be compared to that snake demon."�

Raido looked at him and she just smiled her typical smile. "Down boy I
just want sleep, so try anything and I'll show you how grateful I am by
vanquishing your half demon ass. So don't wake me because you'll be dead, kay?"�
