The two days after that, yui came back to school. And for the first time since we met, we came to school together as nakago gi and yui gi, not nerdy yui hongo. It was so bizarre when we stepped out of the car, there were press people there, taking pictures and asking for interviews. I immediately grabbed yui putting my arms around her and was darting from the swarm of questions the press were throwing at us

“when did you two meet?”

“miss hongo is he a model? He’s hot”

“are you the son of the businessman shutaro gi?”

“is it true you’re married to her?”

“since when have you’ve been in this school?”

We sighed in relief when we stepped inside the school. I entwined my fingers with her and we stepped inside the classroom for our first class, we ignored the whispers and talks and all the buzzing.

“hey I heard they didn’t go to school today” tomo said as we were eating lunch, yui’s face fell and I gave tomo a sharp look, “sorry, so how’s morning sickness?” he changed the subject. Yui burst out laughing apparently remembering the incident the morning she had her first morning sickness. “why don’t you ask my brothers and nakago.” She said still laughing. I looked at her annoyed, but she laughed hard. “hn” I said “why what happened naki-poo” tomo asked, I gave him a death glare but he just grinned.

“I don’t wanna talk about it.” and I mean I really don’t, it was horrible and unfortunately funny, yui woke up early, and made breakfast, of course knowing that she is pregnant we fussed over her, and just made her sit, while we were eating yui suddenly look pale and ran to the kitchen sink and started vomiting, we were so scared about what happened to yui, I thought it was because of our cooking, suboshi even cried saying sorry over and over, while she was vomiting, I was soothing her back and kept shouting to call an ambulance or call tamamo, amiboshi keeps tasting the food, figuring out if its spoiled. When yui finished vomiting she drank and started laughing, we all looked more scared and concerned and then she said, its normal for a pregnant woman to vomit and it was called morning sickness. We were so humiliated, and she just kept laughing.

I shuddered at the memory, yui’s laugh was subsiding now, and grinned at us, “I’ll tell you tomo she said” tomo went around and pushed tama who was sitting on yui’s right side roughly, and sat there moving his ear near yui’s lips. “hime” I warned but she laughed again, “sorry tomo, I guess I can’t tell you after all” yui said I relaxed and pushed tomo roughly away from yui, he was too close for comfort, and put my arms around her waist.

“so yui, about our drama? can you still do it?” she looked at him “yes don’t worry, tamamo said I’m 1 month pregnant, and our drama will start shooting next month and will end in 2 months so I’m not gonna show by then so nuriko said I can still do it and be on hiatus after that” I looked at her and asked “are you sure hime? Won’t that stress you out and our baby?” concern etched on my face, she cupped my face and smiled, “don’t worry there won’t be dangerous stunts and they will use stunt doubles if necessary.” She assured me and kissed me on the lips, “I wish they also use doubles for kissing scenes” I muttered, “what was that?” yui asked “nothing hime” but tama, tomo, and tasuki all heard and sniggered.

It’s the weekend and the gossips and news died down in the school, me and yui are now the hottest couple in school, miaka and soi didn’t show up in for the whole week. I know yui is still worried about her miaka, but what’s done is done, they can never go back the way they were before. Tama seemed more cheerful than before and suddenly becoming yui’s bestfriend much to my displeasure, but he is the closest friend to her next to miaka, but still second best to me.

I still feel uneasy because of the hanging threat made by soi and miaka and indirectly tetsuya but try not to think of it.

“hey welcome guys” rika said as she welcomes us to their mansion, it was huge and lavish, much bigger than ours I think and very elegant, it actually looks like a posh hotel, “come on the party’s at the pool,” she lead us to the pool and was welcomed by tamamo carrying shin, there were also lots of other people there, mostly children, actors, singers, and some other friends, yui and minako went to shin immediately and gushed at him, yui took shin from tamamo and walked off to mingle, I smiled at the sight of yui carrying a baby.

Suboshi, amiboshi, tomo, tama and tasuki also mingled with other guests, i stayed with tamamo and he introduced me to a few people, like his cousin a guy with long flaming red hair and his cousin’s fiancée, a bubbly blue haired girl, he also introduced me to the owner of an ice factory, who looks really cold, and oddly looks like tomo with light grey hair but surprisingly has a girlfriend, a model no less, and yui’s friend and unfortunately tomo’s ex girlfriend, miki, I noticed he and tomo were throwing sneers at each other, and miki had to hold tokiya firmly to keep him from lashing at tomo and tasuki was unfortunately doing the same to tomo, restraining him.

I guess tomo still loves her, I remembered how happy he was when we were in junior high having finally asking her out, but like yui she had to go to a different country after their first year in high school, and unlike tama and yui their break up was bad, it ended in name calling, curses and accusations, but they resolved it eventually but never regained their friendship like yui and tama, but I know tomo still loves her, she’s the only girl tomo had really ever loved, even if he is a womanizer.

I excused myself and went to look for yui, I saw her with hotohori and a girl he has his arms around, maybe his fiancée, I excused for intruding and whisked yui away.

“hey are you still ok?” baby ok?” I asked cupping her face, she smiled at me tenderly, “sweetie, were fine, don’t worry” I nodded and gave her a chaste kiss. “where is amiboshi and suboshi? And izumi and izamo oh and aya and aki?” she asked suddenly, I looked at her puzzled, why was she looking for twins? “um hime why are you…….are you…….? I trailed off not knowing what to ask. She giggled, “I’m not sure but I love seeing twins” she simply replied. Oh my god, I think were having twins, the thought scared me but still brought warmth to my heart. I shook my head and just smiled. “come on hime lets look for them.”

After the party we went home already, while resting on the bed after a quick making love, yui looked up to me while I was stroking her hair, I creased an eyebrow, “hime you should sleep now, after the effort we just exerted, you need to rest,” I said teasingly, she blushed, “well its not my fault you always wore me out,” I smirked, “I can’t help that I’m good in bed yui” she blushed harder, and whacked my head. I chuckled lightly.

“anyway I want to ask what’s the deal with tomo and miki chan’s boyfriend?” I told her the story and she nodded. “ah I see like me and tama only it ended in a bad note.” I simply nodded, she breathed deeply and suddenly her breathing became even, I looked at her and she was sleeping. I smiled at her and kissed the top of her head “goodnight hime, and goodnight twins” I said while.

The next day yui insisted on going to the supermarket and buy something, but the twins are not in the house, they were bringing the izumi and izamo to the airport,, because they are going back to London, much to a depressed suboshi’s liking, and I’m going to meet our dad’s for a very important company meeting, our mom’s are still out of the country.

I told her no, and we argued, but eventually yui won and I conceded only if somebody will go with her. And much to my annoyance it was tama again that greeted me as I opened the door. “hey tama, you ready,” she asked as he went inside, he nodded smiling, “hey call me when you get to the supermarket and come back immediately” she nodded “and tama, take care of her and don’t let her out of your sight and don’t leave her in the house alone. Got it?” I turned to tama sternly. “hai otousan” he joked I glared at him and he shut up. I kissed yui, tama looked away pointedly, I smirked, I watch them go and left to go to my dad’s office.

The meeting was brief, dad telling me what I have to do and start training for the company. I left after 30 minutes and saw yui’s text 25 minutes ago that she’s in the supermarket, I head to my car and was about to call her to tell her I’m coming home, when suddenly it rang and ‘my wife’ flashed. I answered it and all color drained to my face my heart beating wildly, and rage filling my head.

“moshi moshi nakago-san this is tetsuya” I froze

“what the hell did you do to yui, if you lay a finger on her I will kill” he laughed sarcastically and I felt my blood boil further.

“now, now nakago-san, I wouldn’t hurt yui……..yet” I growled at him, “so I’ll text you the address and meet me in 10 minutes and we’ll settle this once and for all, ja” he hung up and furiously dialed tama’s number, it was out of reach, dammnit tama, I thought you could protect her. I ran to the car and slammed the door shut and started to drive to the address texted to me, I arrived in 6 minutes, not caring about the fucking law, all I need right now is to save yui and our child.

“wow that was fast,” tetsuya taunted as I stepped inside a warehouse, “where is yui.” I asked harshly, “yui? But she’s not here, right sis?” he continued to taunt, I looked at the laughing woman, it was soi, and at her back is miaka, not laughing but was avoiding my gaze. “don’t play fucking games with me,” I growled and was about to attack him but I was restrained by his goons.

“kuso” I cursed, violently and started struggling, but their grip is hard. Soi and tetsuya continued to laugh, “you see nakago-san, yui right now is in your house, safe and sound awaiting for your return, but that would never happen, because I will kill you, and then kill tamahome after and then have yui for myself,” he said menace etched in his voice, “you see my sister is in love with you, but she agreed that we should kill you, after everything you have done” he paused and motioned for his men to release me.

“now nakago-san I’ll give you an option, 1 I let you go and you break up with yui and I will never bother her again, and tell her you will marry my sister, or option 2 you die. “like hell that would happen” I growled as I knocked out the men in my side with my fist, a fight started and I easily defeated his goons I even hit soi just because she pisses me off.

Then tetsuya and I went one on one, I threw a few good punches and kicks and so did he, we were both battered and bleeding, he was on the ground, when I pulled him a gun clicked and I stepped back to see him pointing it at me.

“well looks like this is the end of the line nakago-san, I’m sorry you won’t be there to see your kid grow up don’t worry I’ll be there” he looks demented now, “you are a fucking psycho and I will make sure that even when I’m dead I wont let you be near her.” he laughed loud, I can hear sirens in the background, he was momentarily distracted and I took the opportunity to grasp the gun, it fell from his hand and fell a few feet away, he charged at me and then went for the gun, he was about to reach it but I grabbed his ankle, but he eventually got it and I tackled him, both of us rolling in the ground, and then the gunshot fired. he smiled and pushed me.

I touched my lower abdomen and saw blood, oozing out my shirt, my eyes blurred, I coughed, tetsuya was laughing and pointing the gun at me again, this is it I thought, another gunshot but this time it never hit me and instead tetsuya fell to the ground his gun also falling. Then I heard screaming, someone calling my name. yui. She rushed to my side crying. I cupped her cheeks, and she was hysterical, I looked at her and mouthed I love you, “no, no, no, don’t say that….” She was screaming. “he’s dead its over nakago, please don’t do this.” I smiled at her and told her “I’ll always be here.” And then darkness swallowed me.
