(A Saiyuki Fanfic)

Fifteen

Tejas tilted her head to the side and looked at Gojyo. "That nice old
man at reception said that?"� She asked and blinked. "But he gave me free
chocolate."�

Hakkai just laughed nervously. "Oh boy I bet Raido didn't like that."�

Vayu just smiled. "She didn't get time to react did
she Gojyo?"�

He looked at her. "Hey if I don't get her, he can't either."� He
snapped.

"Well Kaika and Sherekhan got us free rooms for letting that old guy
grope them."� Goku shuddered. "That's just so gross. He hit on Tejas too."� His
eyes narrowed.

Tejas blinked. "He did?"� She asked clueless holding on to her
chocolate.

Hakkai looked at the group. "Anyway the demon population of this town
it seems to be everyone in this town is a demon and they remain unaffected by
the mist, just going about their daily lives like nothings happened I have to
say this alone is very strange, and we should remain on guard at all time, it
would be easy for Kougaiji's assassins to be here somewhere waiting for us."�

"This place definitely screams trap."� Vayu agreed. "But I don't sense
any evil intent from anyone, except the castle that we passed on the way in. My
guess is it might be the prison that Sherekhan mentioned with those other
demons."�

"It didn't look like much of a prison though, reminded me of that town
a while back where Huifa and the other villagers were living in fear of the
demon in the castle at the top of the hill."� Hakkai pointed out.

"Can't say we were there for that."� Cyran looked at him.

Hakkai just smiled. "I guess that was before we met you."�

"Maaaan she made us the best meal!"� Goku grinned. "I wanna stop there
on the way back and get some more food."�

Vayu looked out the window at the castle on the hill and she shook her
head. "This village doesn't have that live in fear feeling, but I still don't
like that place."� Her hand touched her chest as she looked at it. "I suggest we
stay only until Raido has fully recovered then we move on. This is not a place
I feel comfortable in."�

"On a good note Tejas hasn't had to wear her power limiters since she
got here."� Cyran pointed out. "Isn't that right kiddo?"�

"Yeah! It's cool being able to be with other normal demons."� Tejas
smiled.

Gojyo grinned. "So we're to weird for you honey?"� He ruffled her hair.

She looked up at him and smiled. "No, you guys are cool, it just almost
feels like this is how it should be."�

Cyran looked at Vayu as she stood there looking at the castle. "Vayu?"�

They looked at her as she had pulled her hair over her shoulder and was
running her fingers through it as she unconsciously braided it.

"I don't think she can hear us."� Hakkai remarked. "I admit the amount
of evil I sense from that castle is great but even I can't sense or see what
she does."�

Sanzo just lit up a cigarette. "Well I think it might be best if Vayu
and myself stay indoors while we're here, the population is demon after all
we'd stand out too much."�

"I agree."� Vayu remarked before turning round from the window. "It's
not safe out there."�

The sun hadn't even risen above the horizon when Raido woke up in the
morning and she'd already changed in to some normal clothes before walking out
the door pausing to look at the sleeping Gojyo and she just smiled and shut the
door before turning round.

"You feeling better today?"� A voice asked.

Raido jumped several meters away then looked at the owner of the voice
with flat eyes.

"Hakkai you'll kill me if you keep doing that."� She held her heart.

Hakkai just chuckled. "I'm sorry I wasn't expecting anyone else to be
up this early."�

Raido smiled. "I was just going to head back to that clinic to pick up
some more medication, I've got this weird rash forming on my arm and I know I'm
not a doctor, but I feel like the pain going through it is making me want to
cut my own arm off."�

Hakkai just nodded. "How about some company I think it's best we pick up
some supplies while we're out too."�

Raido shrugged. "Yeah that works too I need some more smokes."�

"You smoke Marlboro like Sanzo don't you?"� Hakkai asked.

"Yeah. Vayu smokes hi-lites like Gojyo so I need to grab some of those
for her while I'm out too."�

The two took the elevator to the lobby in time to see Sherekhan and
Kaika walking in. "Oooh you're okay!"� Kaika smiled. "I'm so glad."�

"Um"� yeah I guess I need a few days I think."� Raido nodded. "I need to
clean my robes and other clothes while we're stopped off here."�

"Oh that's good I promised Gojyo I'd show him round where I live."�
Sherekhan smiled.

Raido just nodded. "Do you have a human population in this village at
all?"�

Kaika blinked. "Uhhh"�"� She looked at Sherekhan before shaking her head.
"When word gets out about humans they're taken to that castle up on the hill,
not even the villagers want to go near it."�

Hakkai looked at Raido and they shared a look. "Is it bad?"� Hakkai
asked.

"Well we don't know who lives there because no one likes to talk about
it."� Sherekhan rubbed her arm before looking down to the ground. "But whoever
lives there they're really bad."�

"And these bad prisoners that you mentioned to Gojyo yesterday?"� Hakkai
asked.

"Oh they're in the jail. It's okay."� Kaika smiled. "That's at the other
end of the village."�

"Okay well we'll make sure to avoid it then."� Hakkai just smiled.
"Raido we should really get your medication now and grab this food for
breakfast, I'm not sure but Sanzo's gold card might not be accepted here and
knowing Goku the minute he wakes up"�"� He just laughed nervously.

"Good call."� Raido nodded and waved to the two girls. "See you later."�

"Byyyyyyeeeeee."� Sherekhan waved and they watched the two leave.

Kaika looked at Sherekhan. "How long does this place have before the
minus wave gets here?"�

Sherekhan shrugged. "Tomorrow night, but everyone we want to save is
here and the minute they leave they'll be infected, it's too short a time frame
to work with, what can we do? There's no way for them to escape anymore and nowhere
for them to go."�

Kaika shuddered. "That Dr. Nii gives me the creeps."�

Sherekhan just nodded. "I don't like him either, but he's watching
right now and that makes him even more creepier."�

Kaika's fist clenched. "If he wasn't Lady Koushou's little play toy I'd
sock him one, these people did nothing to him."� She looked at Sherekhan. "We
gotta at least save some of them."�

Sherekhan frowned and looked at her friend. "I want to too, but how?"�

"I don't know yet"� We gotta ask gramps for some help."� Kaika looked at
reception.

Raido brushed some hair behind her ear as they walked out of the clinic
and noticed the demon population coming out to start their day and she stopped
seeing the looks she was getting Hakkai just smiled.

"They know we're outsiders obviously."�

"I smell"� human"�"� She heard a voice hiss at a demon next to them as she
walked past.

"She smells strongly of it more than a mongrel should."� Another
whispered.

"What do you suppose the mongrel wants?"� A third whispered.

"A female mongrel, why do you suppose they're sending her instead of
the normal?"�

"Maybe they ran out of the male mongrels."�

Raido looked at Hakkai, he looked back. "Don't let it get to you."�

"I grew up with this from the others in my hometown, they used to pick
on me too."� She looked down. "You can never get used to it, and every time it
hurts more and more."� She sighed. "I don't even know what I am anymore Hakkai,
I'm more human than demon yet I look like a child of taboo."�

He blinked seeing her fist clench at her side, she caught the
sympathetic look out of the corner of her eye and she just looked at him and
smiled. "I shouldn't be like this, I'm sorry, I'm ruining the time we have to
do the shopping."�

Hakkai just smiled back. "It's okay."�

Raido pulled out a cigarette and lit it up as they walked and she
looked round. "Apart from the evil glares, this seems like a really well
established town and they seem really well off, it's quite strange isn't it to
run in to a demon town this far away from anything?"�

Hakkai nodded. "Even stranger that it stayed listed on the map, but I
think we need to enquire about the inhabitants of that castle on the hill and
the two demons in jail on the other side of town."�

Raido looked at Hakkai. "Hakkai don't ask about the castle, trust me it
will bring up nothing but pain."�

Hakkai blinked. "Do you know something your not sharing Raido?"�

She looked up at him her expression serious making Hakkai look on
curiously. "Only bits and odds, but it's a demon clan, that's for sure, and I
mean a clan numbers going in to over the two thousands, if we got involved
Sanzo and Vayu would get involved and I don't know about you but I've lost
count on Sanzo and Vayu's demon kill count and I don't wanna risk what happened
to you, to happen to me or them."�

Hakkai just smiled. "Okay I'll leave it, I guess the doctor told you
that when he went to check on your arm."�

"I asked him about it, because I mentioned the feeling sick to my
stomach feeling, and he knows I'm a priestess, so he justified my thoughts. The
town is full of innocent demons but that castle, it's nothing but evil, they
stay out of the villagers way if the villagers stay out of theirs."�

Hakkai looked at the castle. "I just get a strange feeling of déjà vu
that's all."�

Raido stopped outside a fruit stand and the vendor blinked as he looked
at her. "Umm"� can we get some of these?"�

Hakkai saw the vendor staring at her. "Is something wrong?"�

His eyes darted to the castle. "Your not from there"� are you?"� He
asked.

Raido smiled and shook her head. "Oh no I'm from Chang-an, I'm just on
a road trip west with some friends."�

He just smiled. "Well in that case sure thing little missy."� and he
filled the bag up with apples.

Hakkai looked at the vendor. "Did you think she was from the castle?"�

"Most of the mongrels that come down from there caused a lot of trouble
for us, they take some of our young women for their master's pleasure and they
end up just creating more and more of them"�"�

Raido pulled at her hair and she looked at it. "How many of them are
there?"�

"Well actually we haven't seen one since hearing about the minus wave
effecting demons on the outside of this town, but that castle sits on the cusp
of our town so probably two years now since we've seen one. We haven't seen a
female human in that amount of time either, actually any humans."� He replied.

Hakkai smiled. "So that explains their mood, they think Raido's come to
take someone away to the castle?"�

The vendor nodded. "Yes, but this is the first time we've seen a female
mongrel. Normally the mongrels are all male."�

"Remind me to mention this to Gojyo when we get back."� Hakkai smiled.

Raido smirked. "Awww let the poor bugger find out and suffer."�

"You have another mongrel friend?"� The vendor asked.

Raido's eyes went flat. "Friend"�"�

Hakkai just smiled. "Actually yeah, I spent about three years living
with him, before se started this trip."�

"Poor you."� Raido looked at Hakkai.

Hakkai just laughed sheepishly before rubbing behind his neck. "He's
not that bad really, he just forgot what day to put the garbage out."�

"Or even how to clean, I've seen how he leaves things, it's disgusting,
he's such a"� man."� Her nose curled up in disgust.

"But yet you still seem to like him."� Hakkai smiled.

Raido went red in the cheeks. "He's everything I hate in a man, a
gambling, whoreish, disrespectful, perverted, idiot."�

The vendor smiled. "How very rare for them to fall for their own kind,
most of them end up liking human woman."�

"Damnit I should become a full demon then."� Raido sighed.

Hakkai laughed. "Now now, don't talk like that, you don't need to
change who you are to make him change his mind, it won't work on Gojyo once he
sets his mind to something, there's nothing stopping him."�

"Maaan."� Raido sighed defeated. "Gutted."�

~*~*~*~

Sanzo and Vayu sat in the lounge of the Inn Sanzo with his glasses on
sipping his tea while reading a newspaper and Vayu was shuffling a pack of
cards.

"Ace of spades."� She remarked and flipped the card over and sighed "�Ace
of Spades, damnit I'm right.' She shuffled the deck again.

"Three of diamonds."� She flipped the card over "�Three of diamonds.
Man I've been doing this for half an hour and they've all been right, which
means I'm right about that castle too then"� it's the new clan of Hyakugan
Maoh. Do I even tell Hakkai? We could be in so much trouble if we stayed here.
Especially if they find out he's here.'

"Ten of clubs."� She flipped the
card over and looked at the Ten of clubs card staring back up at her.

Sanzo meanwhile just turned the
page in his newspaper like he didn't seem to notice her.

"Seven of hearts."� She flipped
the card over and looked at it, she was right yet again.

Sanzo finally put the paper down
and looked at her, she stopped for a moment and looked at him. "Sorry I'll stop
now."� She pulled the cards back in the pile and just shuffled them.

Sanzo p gave her one of his
looks. "There's something you're not telling us about that place."�

"I don't have any physical
proof, but all I can stay is we can't stay long before the demons from that
castle figure out who we are and attack us."�

"I figured as much, well get
Hakkai to heal the priestess when we get back and we'll leave first thing
tomorrow morning."�

Vayu nodded. "Yeah I'll ask
him."� She looked at the cards.

"Where's the monkey and the
pixie?"�

"Chocolate stop where else, they
dragged Cyran out too, and Gojyo is doing what he normally does, looking for a
quick and easy lay."�

"Hmph."� Sanzo huffed. "Idiots.
They better not attract too much attention."�

Vayu gave him a look. "That's
like asking Goku to stop eating and Tejas to stop playing with fire."�

"Idiots."� Sanzo just repeated
again before he went back to his newspaper.

Gojyo walked the streets his
hands stuffed in to his pockets and he looked at the people as he passed, his
eyes giving the quick once over of the female population, when he head a hiss.

"That's the second mongrel
today. Why have they come back?"�

Gojyo stopped and they seemed to
back away from him and he just lit his cigarette. "Dag nabit. This makes it
hard for me to pick up chicks if they're scared of me."�

He stopped seeing a figure
walking towards him and he blinked as he looked at a pair of green eyes, that
alone screamed evil, the intent behind them was obvious.

The demon figure looked up at
him and he just smirked. "Morning."� The demon spoke as he continued to walk
past.

"Uhhh"� yeah"� morning."� He
watched the man walk past and a brow quirked up as the demon had turned the
corner. "�Why do I get a bad feeling from that guy"�?' With that he
followed the man round the corner and stopped dead, he was gone vanished amongst
the crowds in the supermarket.

He looked around when he felt
something cling to his leg. "HIIIIIII!"� A child shouted up at him.

His eyebrow twitched. "Yeah hi
kid."� He remarked.

"Why are your hair and eyes
red?"� The little demon child asked blinking up at him and he saw the same green
eyes.

"Uh"� it's complicated kid."�

"But why?"�

"It just is, trust me."�

"Why?"�

"Look don't you have anyone else
to go annoy?"�

"Nah-uh."� The child shook his
head.

"Goddamnit."� Gojyo let out a
sigh.

"Xiender! Get away from him!"� A
woman cried and Gojyo blinked as the woman snatched her child up, she gave
Gojyo a look that he knew all to well. "He meant you no harm just don't hurt
him."�

"Hurt him?"� Gojyo blinked then
he spotted Raido holding up a top and talking to Hakkai and she smiled. "I
wasn't even, I was just looking for someone"�"�

"Then what they say is true"�"�
She held her child close to her.

Gojyo looked at her. "And what
do they say?"�

"The demons at the top of the
castle have returned to take our young women away."�

"Sorry to disappoint you honey
but I'm from out of town and I was looking for them."� He motioned at Hakkai and
Raido. "�Damnit guess the priestess is the only chick I can pickup in this
hell hole.' He thought as he walked up to them.

"Gojyo morning."� Hakkai smiled.

"Yo."� He grinned an arm slinging
over Raido's shoulder and she let out a defeated sigh.

"Yeah hi."� Raido's eyes went wide as she felt a hand grab her from
behind. "GOJYO YOU PERVERT!"�

*WHACK*

"Ow goddamnit priestess! What did you do that for?!"�

"Don't touch don't touch DON'T TOUCH!!!"�

*THUMP THUMP THUMP*

She started beating him over the head with her metal fan.

Hakkai laughed. "My my don't you two look lively this morning."� Rubbing
behind his head just smiling, he stopped for a moment when he caught sight of a
figure standing in amongst the crowd watching them, green eyes settled on the
two arguing and his own green eyes narrowed.

"�Now that's not a pleasant feeling I'm getting from him.' He
thought to himself and the figure looked at him and just smiled before his eyes
settled on Raido.

Hakkai blinked and he turned round as Raido sunk to her knees and Gojyo
opened one eyes from where he was shielding his head.

"Hey priestess"�"�

"That feeling again"� I feel"�"� She began.

Gojyo grabbed her before she completely hit the ground passed out he
shook her. "Damnit hey priestess, c'mon honey!"�

Hakkai looked back in to the crowd, "�He's gone.' He noticed not
seeing the figure at all. "�I didn't like that feeling I got from him at all.'

"Hey Hakkai"�"� Gojyo called.

"Hold on."� Hakkai opened up the bag and he pulled out a small pottle of
crème and pulled Raido's arm sleeve off before applying the crème to her
infected arm. "We might have to separate you two, you make her use up too much
of her energy before she can fully recover."�

"Awwww c'mon Hakkai."� Gojyo looked at him and he saw the serious look
on his face. "You saw him too then."� He added quieter. "The green eyed demon, I
followed him to this part of the market."�

Hakkai nodded. "He took one look at Raido and she just collapsed."� He
frowned. "I don't know about her sensitivity levels as a priestess, but I know
enough to know that the level he was at he was evil."�

Gojyo stuffed Raido's arm sleeve in to his pocket as he picked her up.
"Guess we better head back."�

Hakkai nodded and he looked to where the demon had been. "�This town
is starting to creep me out.'

Cyran watched as Tejas and Goku raced through the candy store pointing
to everything they wanted and the kind elderly hop owner was slowly sorting
through the candy and putting it in to a bag for the two hyper active children.

"�The sooner Raido finds a job to pay for this, the better.'
Cyran sighed.

"Ooooh and this one with the cookie base please?!"�
Tejas waved her hand about in a flap flap motion to get the storeowner's
attention.

The elderly demon woman smiled as she added that to the purchases.

"Oh wow what's this one here?!"� Goku asked pointing to a giant candy
display. "Can you eat it?"� He asked hie eyes wide and starry.

The shop owner just laughed. "Of course but you have to pay for it
first."�

"Cyyyyyyyrrrrraaaaaan!"� Tejas whined.

"Oh I want that!"� Goku motioned at the display. "It looks delicious!"�

Cyran's head dropped. "Reminder for myself to never to have kids."� She
mumbled to herself.

"Yes"� you can get that Goku."�

"WOOOOHOOOOO!"� Goku cheered before Cyran turned to Tejas and saw the
pink haired demon gurl pointing to something on the shelf.

Cyran sighed. "Yes you can get that."�

"HURRAH!"� Tejas cheered.

The elderly demon lady smiled. "You're doing a wonderful job in looking
after these two."�

Cyran just smiled her eyebrow twitching. "The things one does for the
guy of her dreams huh?"�

"Ahhh so these children are his?"� The lady asked.

"Oh well he watches over one of them, and the other well my friend's sick
from a demon snake bite so I got double my worth this time round, but it always
seems to be me watching over these two now."� Cyran looked outside. "I don't
know how else I can let him know how I feel."� She brushed some of her blue hair
from her face and behind her ears.

The elderly lady smiled. "I have some special love potion chocolate."�

Cyran blinked. "Reeeeeeaaaallllly? You suddenly have my attention."�

Tejas and Goku both blinked before looking at each other. "She really
likes Sanzo huh?"� Goku asked although the young eighteen year old already knew
Cyran did, but he wasn't sure of the extent of her like.

"Uh-huh."� Tejas nodded her head.

"Scary."� Goku shuddered. "That's just gross."�

Sanzo was back in his room when Hakkai walked in with a bag full of
supplies. Vayu was sitting on the windowsill having a cigarette when Hakkai
smiled at her.

"Morning Vayu. Sorry I left before you woke, up, but you looked like
you needed some extra sleep."� Hakkai smiled.

Vayu blushed as she looked down. "Uh"� It's okay Hakkai"� really."�

"So where's the priestess?"� Sanzo asked.

Hakkai blinked before his face to serious. "There was an incident with
a green eyed demon, I got a feeling of ill-will from him before Raido collapsed
Gojyo's putting her to rest at the moment."� He explained.

Vayu slipped off the windowsill. "I knew there was something up with
that castle."�

"I know we leave when she's well, but the question is how long will it
take?"� Hakkai asked.

"Can't you heal her properly Hakkai?"� Vayu asked. "I really want to
leave."� She looked at him.

Hakkai shook his head. "There is still poison floating through her
system we have to let the medicine clear it up first, my healing would
interrupt that process and it could spread, just this morning Raido got up even
though she felt like she wanted to cut off her own arm, if I heal her now, she
might actually be tempted to cut off her arm, so it might be best that she rest
for a few more days."�

Vayu just smirked. "The question is, can you keep her in bed?"�

Hakkai let out a chuckle. "A very good point indeed."�

~*~*~*~

"A power limiter?"� The black smith looked at the two of them. "I don't
know if I can make one for every demon in this city in such a short amount of
time."�

Sherekhan lowered her head. "Oh."� She looked disappointed.

"And if I did it would just be jewellery it wouldn't truly limit their
powers not without the proper religious ceremony, you'd need the help of a
priest or Goddess for that."� He added.

Kaika looked at Sherekhan. "We know four Goddess's. Can you just make
them and we'll take it from there."�

He just nodded. "I can't get them all done by tomorrow night though. So
you best tell me what's going on you two?"�

Sherekhan shuffled her feet in the ground before looking down. "The
black mist thing is coming this way, it's really bad to we heard it'll be able
to break through the barrier and soon every demon in this city will be driven
insane."�

The blacksmith's eyebrows rose. "Tomorrow night it strikes am I right?"�
He asked.

"Yeah so in three days time everyone will be insane."� Kaika explained.

He nodded his head. "I'll see what I can do, this is why you came back
sooner than we expected."�

"I know Kougaiji told me, I'm glad he did he wants to save you all from
what the other demons went through."� Sherekhan looked up at him hopeful that he
could at least help some of the demon population.

"He's a good man Kougaiji, bless him."� The black smith smiled. "I'll do
my best. You run up the other villagers and get them to pass the word around
but Kaika talk to the mayor I hear he kept some of the old power limiters from
a few years ago."�

"I can do that!"� Kaika remarked before heading off.

Sherekhan smiled at the blacksmith. "Thank-you so much, this means a
lot to me."�

"If you wish to help Kougaiji and help us, then trust me kiddo, you two
would be a perfect couple to rule over the demon population, we wouldn't have
anything to worry about if you to were in charge."� He smiled.

Sherekhan blushed as she looked down. "I'm not anything special
though."�

He patted her on the shoulder. "Don't be so naïve Shere, you're a
blessing to this town don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. Now go help
Kaika spread the word."�

Sherekhan nodded as she headed off in to the town and came across the
first store and looked at the tobacco store. She stood at its door and her hand
clutched close to her heart.

"�If I fail in saving these people then I'll save you Gojyo, I'll
make sure you don't get hurt anymore, you don't need to feel anymore pain.'
Sherekhan raced in to the store.

Gojyo sat by Raido's bed on the ground a cigarette in his hand, he
glanced up at the unconscious priestess and he sighed. "Damnit there it
something up with this town."� He stood up before walking to the door and
opening it.

"COMING THROUGH!!!!!"� Goku shouted as he dashed past Tejas hot on his
tail the to with several bags of what looked like"� candy.

Gojyo blinked and looked at Cyran as she sauntered down the hall in her
normal self-confidant sexy walk and he grinned leaning up against the doorway.

"Spent a productive morning feeding the kids have ya honey?"� He asked.

Cyran smiled and lent up against the wall next to Gojyo. "I've been
wondering I have something I want you to test on Raido and if it works then I
might have something that could work on getting me a piece of Sanzo."�

She pulled out of a small bag a chocolate bar and handed it to him.
"Curtesy of the chocolate store in town like a love potion in chocolate."�

Gojyo looked at the bar and he took it looking at her. "That's
something I've never had to rely on before honey."�

"I know"� neither but these damn priests they're such tight asses to
break down."� Cyran remarked and she smiled at him running a hand down his chest
before planting a kiss on his cheek. "Let me know if it works or not."�

He watched her walk off and he looked to the chocolate bar and then to
Raido. "Even I don't go that far honey, so be careful with that."� He mused
before tossing the chocolate bar on the table and walking out of the room
closing the door and heading downstairs to see the old perverted man at
reception.

"Hey grandpa you seen my sister?"�

The man blinked and looked at him. "Ooooh Shere, yes she was in earlier
asking if you were awake but you weren't so she went out again."�

"Right. Hey what can you tell me about a green eyed demon wandering
round town?"� He asked.

"Green eyed demon you might have to be a bit more specific than green
eyes."�

Gojyo held his hand to half a head shorter than himself. "He's this
big, creepy green eyes, and purple brown hair."�

The old man thought for a moment. "Oh he's one of the kids from the
castle they booted him out not long after the wave started apparently he was
one of the kids conceived up there, grew up with no mother figure and such, not
too sure about him, last I heard he was in the prison."�

Gojyo just nodded and stuffed his hands in his pocket the cigarette in
his mouth before looking at the old man. "Thanks."� With that he headed out the
door and on to the street and looked toward the direction where he sensed the
negative demon vibes and began walking towards it.

The mayor of the village looked at Kaika. "The wave is going to break
through our barrier?"� He asked blinking in shock.

"Yes we're spreading the word we need people to come up with their old
power limiters or if they know how to make them, to make enough to save the
entire city."� Kaika explained.

The mayor rubbed his chin thoughtful for a moment. "I think the jail
might still have theirs you can go have a look and ask Hiang about it. I'm sure
he could help you out more than I can."�

"You've helped just by letting me know where I can find some. Just let
who you can know of what's going to happen tomorrow night."� Kaika smiled.

The mayor smiled. "I'll do my part in spreading the word."�

"Thanks."� Kaika waved before rushing out and heading towards the jail
cell when she spotted Gojyo also heading in that direction and she stopped
watching him as he climbed the steps stopping at the doorway and pausing to
look at her and she blinked looking at him and he turned the handle before
stepping inside.

"Gojyo"� What's he up to, I though they were going to lay low. Do I tell
him and the others or not? Is this really a concern of theirs?"� She asked
herself before she raced up to the door of the jail and she looked inside.

Blood.

She gasped as she looked round the room it was everywhere, and the two
jail cells were opened and Hiang's body was stuck in the wall imbedded with a
steel bar from the cell right through his left eye socket.

"No"�"� She gasped as he hand flew to her face. "�This is how the wave
will break through, they broke free and killed our barrier"�' She shook her
head. "�They doomed this town.'

Gojyo stood there a cigarette in his mouth looking up at the Hiang's
body before turning to look at her.

"Kaika I think you better start explaining honey, something big is
going to happen."�

"W-What do you mean?"� She asked.

He raised a brow and pulled a hand out of his pocket before removing
the cigarette from his mouth and blowing out a thin stream of white moke and
using his cigarette motioned to the body in the wall.

"I doubt he flew up there to impale himself honey, so I think we deserve
to know what's going on and pronto."�
