Robots, Games And Chocolate

Matt had been thinking the past few hours. He had switched his game off and re-read the letters from Mello over and over again. Once he put them away he sat on bed waiting for Near to come to bed so he could apologize.
After another hour or so Matt stood and walked down the hall... The main room... ‘It’s dark... the others must of gone to bed.’ Matt thought as he entered and looked around.. not spotting Near he checked the Kitchen then bathroom before going to the computers, He accessed the security cameras and re-wound them to check them... he pressed play from when Near left the bedroom... saw him walking to the plushies.... he fast-fore warded as Halle and Gevanni left... Rester stood and walked by Near he looked hard at the monitors and frowned. ‘Near was crying.... ‘ stopping the cameras Matt felt worse then before. ‘Nears been hurting this entire time.’ Standing Matt walked over to where Near was and stared down..
Near was curled into a small ball the plushies surrounding him, Fast asleep. Dried tear tracks on his cheeks.
Matt reached down and stroked Near cheek gently. Near flinched and turned over facing the other way.
Matt pulled back as he saw a red and slightly bruised cheek and eye...’I hit him. He was trying to help and i hit him.’ Matt fell to his knees “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” Matt lowered his head to the carpet still mumbling his apologies.
Near stirred at the sound and sat slowly spotting it was Matt apologizing, Kneeled over and head to the ground he laid his hand on Matt’s head. “Don’t be sorry Matt. I should of told you sooner. Woke you up.” He replied in a quiet voice.
Matt raised his head hugging Near tightly. “I’ll never hit you again, I love you Near. Maybe i didn’t at beginning but i do Love you....” frowning and pulling away. “I still love Mello but i don’t want to lose you... Let me stay by your side, I’ll prove i love you please Near” Matt hugged Near again.
Near smiled and stroked Matt’s hair. “Lets go to bed, I’m tired and have headache.”
Matt nodded and pulled away before standing and picking Near up bridal style... “You really should eat more. you weigh practically nothing.” Near blushed and held tightly round Matts neck.
Matt carried them to the bedroom and set Near down on the bed. He went to stroke Nears bruised cheek, Near looked away. “Let’s just sleep... please.”
Matt frowned and nodded before climbing into bed lying down, He let Near lay down his head on his chest.
Matt stroked Nears hair gently, Listening as Near breathe slowed to steady pace indicating he was asleep before closing his own eyes holding Near close.

Next time Matt woke it was already morning he was surprised when he looked down and saw Near still fast asleep, curled into his side.
‘Why did i wake before Near.’ Matt thought.
There was a light knock at the door. Matt turned and called quietly “come in.”
Rester popped his head round the door. “I wanted to check on Near as he hasn’t taken his medicine and he’s normally awake by now.”
Matt frowned, “He’s tired so still asleep”
Near stirred opening his eyes. “I’ll be there shortly Rester please leave us alone. “ He shifted to hug Matt. Matt smiled and hugged Near back “How you feeling”
“Headaches still there, but i’m fine.” pulling back Near sat up. “I better get to work... i’ll tell Rester to start your breakfast.” Near stood and went to bathroom having a quick shower before making his way to main room.
Gevanni was at computers and Halle in kitchen by sounds of it cooking. Rester had the first aid kit and water and selection of tablets, Sighing Near sat on sofa grabbing the tablets and taking them with his water. Once finished he looked to Rester “I have headache” Rester handed Near 2 paracetamol from the first aid kit, waiting till Near finished taking them before wetting a cotton wool ball with anti-septic fluid and tilting Nears head up dabbing over the bruised area.
Near closed his eyes wincing slightly. “I’ll have to add some cream to help swelling and bruise Near”
Near nodded slightly, He heard the lid of a tub before feeling the cold cream spread over his cheek, and rubbed in.
“All done... If headache doesn’t clear let me know” Rester said zipping the first aid kit up.
Near nodded before saying quietly “Can i have cup of tea and files brought over here this morning.”
Rester nodded and stood going to the kitchen.
Matt watched Rester spreading the cream over Nears cheek, As he left into the kitchen he walked and sat by Nears side.
“I’m sorry Near.” Matt said quietly.
Halle called from the kitchen “Matt food is ready”
Matt sighed and went to kitchen watching Rester carry Nears tea out to him.
Rester placed Nears tea down and fetched all over Nears files that he requested.
“Thanks Rester, Get back to work please.” Near said covering the settee and some of floor with his files.... before starting his work.

Once Matt finished his breakfast he watched Gevanni and Near working hard.
“Is there anything i good do.” Matt asked
“Check with Rester... i will need you to keep close eye on the Japanese police force.... Some things going to happen not sure what yet.... but Light will want his book back from Mello.” Near replied not looking up from his files
“Mello has a notebook” Matt said shocked
Near visibly flinched before responding “Apparently before he left yesterday, he told me one the the rules in the book is fake.”
Matt merely nodded and sat at the computer typing....
