Chapter Seventeen: Changes of the Heart

Shion's P.O.V.
By: Lyrical JusticeFor months, I watched my childhood friend watch Owl Jana from afar instead of taking a chance. I knew the young woman had just called off her four-year-long relationship with Misty because she had caught him cheating on her. Dohko wanted to rip Misty apart for hurting Jana the way he did, but Shaka had beat him to it.
Sighs.
I'm trying to figure out how to help my friend, both Esmeralda and Natasha warned me to stay out of it and let them come together on their own. Dohko is being totally out-of-character and somehow it is because of a very protective Virgo named Shaka.
*Shakes my head*
I promised my two girls I wouldn't interfere. Natasha knew better than Esmeralda that I just wanted my childhood and best friend to be happy. I just watched.
Sighs.
Four months later, Shaka came with Owl Jana as the young woman was holding a bouquet of plum blossoms and tiger lilies. I recognize as these being the official flower of China (plum blossom) and Dohko's favorite flower (tiger lilies). I see he has finally made his move.
Smiles.
Shaka being the protective Master as he has some concerns about Dohko dating Jana. I assured him that Dohko wouldn't harm Jana and he should let Jana decide for herself what she wants.
Jana blushes as she could hear us talking about her and Dohko. I watched as the young woman sneaks off as I continue to distract Shaka.
Smiles.
Later that day, I could see Owl Jana and Libra Dohko were officially a couple. I did ask Dohko how?
All Dohko would say was,
Jana came in search of him and she told him that she'll take a chance with him, but if he hurts her, she'll sick Esmeralda on him.
I see that wasn't the only one who wants their happiness to shine.
I am glad to see both so happy even though a certain Virgo was happy thanks to a fox.
