Chapter Two.

Rei's old grandfather stood there looking at the young men, who all bowed to him. He bowed to them and asked, "Would you strong young men like to work around the temple? I have always needed young men like you to help me around the temple."

Kafir kept his face stoic while Eros made a face. Hermes smiled at the older man politely while Alantas looked around in a lost daze.

�Sorry, grandfather, but we�re on a mission for food!� Rei said, as she quickly got them to high tail it down the path and onto the sidewalk.

�Bring me something!� yelled her grandfather. �Drat, lost strong backs. Hopefully, they will return.� He walked away with a grin on his face.

Kafir chuckled slightly as they walked down the street. �We need to meet up with the other Senshi, Rei. We have a very important mission.�

�I know, we�re meeting in the park.� Rei said, as they walked towards the park where the other Sailor Senshi were at.

�Kafir!� yelled Usagi, as she leapt into his arms and kissed him before pulling away blushing.

Kafir held her close and gazed at her with a stoic look. �Konnichi wa, Usagi.� He noticed that the others were busy greeting the other Senshi and quickly stole a kiss from Usagi.

Ares turned to glance at the others and noticed that Kafir was stealing a kiss from Usagi. �Kafir are you turning into �love-boy� on us!�

"Hey!" Eros protested. "Just because he's showing his lady some love is no reason to think he's going soft!"

�Domo arigato, Eros,� Kafir said, as he smiled towards Eros and then smirked towards Ares. �And I am not going soft, Ares, or would you rather fight my rage instead?�

The blonde male Senshi of Venus snickered at the look of fear on Ares' face.

�Uh no, I do not wish to go against your rage, Kafir,� Ares said, quickly.

Hermes shuddered slightly. He himself had seen Kafir's rage when the male Senshi of Saturn had discovered that he and Hotaru were involved in a relationship.

�So what is this mission that Solace-san has for us?� asked Ami, looking at the Soldier Senshi.

"To find my counterpart," Alantas said softly. "We must find Sailor Earth."

�But I thought you were�� said Usagi.

Alantas shook his head. "Iie, I am only the Soldier Senshi of Earth. I have no Sailor counterpart. Without one, there will be no balance and a shift in power will invite destruction."

�Then, where do we look for Sailor Senshi Earth?� asked Makoto.

�Our world is huge and who knows where she could be at or do you know where she�s at, Alantas?� asked Usagi.

"It is possible that with the empathy all Senshi share, we shall find her -- or she shall find us." Hermes answered.

�Meaning we wander around town hoping she�ll show herself to us?� asked Ami.

"Yes, basically, we will have to do just that," Hermes said.

"We're hoping Rei can do a fire reading for clues." Eros said.

�I can do that,� Rei spoke. �Let�s return to the temple.�

�Don�t forget to get something for your grandfather. He yelled out at us that he was hungry.� Hisharo said.

Eros nodded. "Do you know we'll have to help him out while Rei does the fire reading?"

Kafir smirked. �Then, let us start our search for Sailor Earth now. We�re connected to the computers that Ami has, right?�

�I think I know what you are saying, Kafir, while Rei is doing the fire reading, we can split up into groups and search the city! Brilliant,� Hermes said.

"Great�no heavy lifting," Eros cheered.

Kafir assigned groups of three and then headed off with Alantas and Usagi in one direction while Rei, Hotaru and Ryoken headed back to the temple after stopping off at a take out place.

Ami looked over at Mina and Makoto. �I guess we just walk around town, for I�m not even sure where to look,�

Mina nodded as she spoke, �I too, do not have a clue where to look. I hope the others have better luck with their ideas of where to search.�

�Oh come now, I�m sure we�ll figure out where she may be. Who knows it may even be a guy who�s our Sailor Earth.� Makoto chuckled.

�Oh please! I do not want to think that we would have a guy in our ranks, the Soldiers are enough!� spoke Mina.

�Though it would cause some friction between Usagi and him, if there was a male Senshi of Earth,� smirked Makoto.

�Oh please! I�m sure that it would be a female,� said Ami.

�But you don�t know if it is or not. Look at Soldier Neptune. She�s a girl and all the others are guys,� said Mina.

�But that�s because there was already a Sailor Neptune, Mina,� said Makoto, as they walked away from the park.

Ami glanced behind them as the others like Zeus, Hisharo and Shawn headed off in another direction while Setsuna, Haruka and Michiru stood there talking before they too walked away from the park towards their car. Ami wondered if Setsuna knew where Sailor Earth was but she remembered that Setsuna was prohibited from peeking in the time stream as that would be a much quicker way of searching for her.

They figure to start their search for her at the chess hall. She may be a chess player like Ami is. Ami saw many of her friends there and to make it look like she was there to play a game of chess, she got Mina playing a round of chess with her so she could scan the people at the hall to see if Sailor Earth was there.

Meanwhile, at Rei�s grandfather�s temple, Rei was doing a fire reading and it was not happening. It was proving to be quite difficult for her to translate what the fire was telling her. But she kept the door closed and called for more information of what the fire was stating.

Hotaru and Ryoken were helping her grandfather out with what he needed done. By the time that they got done with what he needed them to do, it was late afternoon. Ryoken contacted Ami to see if she had any update from the others like if they found her or not. The news that came from Ami was not good as they didn�t find her yet and the others were silent as well.

�I fear we may not find her today. Has Rei finished the fire reading yet?� asked Ami.

�Not yet, Ami,� Ryoken stated.

�We�re heading towards the temple now. Our search has turned up nothing,� Ami said, as her image vanished from the screen.

Ryoken turned towards Hotaru and spoke, �Ami�s team is coming to the temple. Their search came up empty. I fear we may not find Sailor Earth any time soon, Hotaru.�

Hotaru nodded and spoke, �I wonder if the others like Hermes, Eros and Ares have found her yet.�

�I too, am wondering if they found her or at least a sign of her,� Ryoken stated, softly.

�They would have alerted us to the fact that they found her. I cannot sense any joy in the links coming from them. They are just as sadden by not finding her as we are,� Hotaru said.

It was couple of hours longer, when Rei emerged from where she was doing the fire reading, the look upon her face said it all. �I have news from the fire but it is not good news.�

�What is it, Rei?� asked Ryoken.
