Adultery??? D???
Chapter 2 Adultery??? D???
Whenever he entered a room, he commanded attention, weather he wanted it or not. The once rowdy bar quieted upon his entrance, he calmly strode to the bar, stopping only a few seconds to stare down some of the patrons who blocked his path. Upon meeting his cold stare, the semi-drunken customers would slink out of his way.
When he passed a table where men were playing cards, he reached out and grabbed one of the bar girls, pulling her with him. “I require your services,” he said calmly, and placed a note of currency on the bar. “A room for the night and tomorrow.”
“The bitch is extra,” said the barman.
The man turned and looked the thin whore up and down. He then put two more notes on the counter. “Send three more to me in an hour.” The barman took the money, tossing the man a key with a number engraved on it. The man took the key and dragged the woman up stairs to the room.
He closed the door and turned to her, removing his hat, cloak and shirt. “Don’t just stand there, take off your clothes and get on the bed.”
“Yes sir.” Quickly the woman shed her dress, but before she could lye on the bed, the man stepped up behind her, pushed her over, and savagely drove himself into her body.
She screamed at the assault, though not in pain, more in surprise. His size was nothing she hadn’t experienced before, and the ferocity of his taking her was mild to what she’d experienced at the hands of other men. Repeatedly he drove into her, his desperate need for the overwhelming sensation that came with his release.
Effortlessly he flipped her over, forcing her mouth open and ramming his shaft past her lips. She’d done this before, too, but never had anyone force her. His testicles slapped against her face, as he continued, stretching out over her body, spreading her legs wide and eagerly seeking out her tender flesh. As he feverishly tasted her offerings, he felt the build up of the coming storm. Quickly he took her clit between his teeth and held it tight as he emptied his own offerings into her mouth.
He rolled off her, feeling her choke, and rested as she gathered herself, spitting out what she could into the bedpan. Finally she turned to him, his member still erect. “I’m not threw with you yet Bitch,” he said coldly. “Come, sit on it. I’ve much more where that came from.”
“Who are you?” she asked shakily.
The man didn’t move. “You only need to know that your body is mine till the hour is up. Now service me, or die.”
“Please sir. A name, so that I may call it out as I please us both.”
The man sighed. “If you must,” he said. “I am called D.”
“D! BEHINDYOU!!!” Without even turning, the tall man drove his sword back into the monster behind him. He swung his sword out to the side, slicing the beast’s side open. And there he stood, amidst the blood and gore.
The one she called husband. “Ok,” she sighed seeing the creatures blood drip off his cloak and blade. “Short of hosing you off, what now?”
D picked up a rag that amazingly didn’t have blood already on it, and cleaned his blade. “We keep looking.”
“You really think this scientist can do it?”
“Anything is possible, when a vampire removes a person’s values.”
“I still don’t get how that works.”
“You’ve heard of doctors removing organs that have become a danger to the body?”
“Um hum.”
“Same thing. A Vampire of sufficient age can use his telepathic abilities to rip out or block certain traits of a person. Though it would take time working around in their mind to do it.”
“So this crack pot really thinks he can remove a vampire’s sensitivity to crosses, garlic, the whole deal, and yet still be a vampire.”
“Yes. And by using the adapted healing gene of the wolf, it may be possible.”
“Well, where would he go?”
“Not he. She.”
“Wonderful.”
“She’ll go where the wolves are. There’s a vampire not far from here I believe. Werewolves won’t be far from it.”
“Well let’s go. But first, D, I think we better ring out your cloak.”
He’d been coming to the village for months, almost a year now, and it was the same on each visit. Money for a room, and money for four whores. The bar owner had to replace all the girls after the first few months. Each one just leaving in the middle of the night. Without so much as a ‘good bye, I quit.’
Again the tall dark clothed man walked into the bar, took a woman to his room, demanding three more to follow in an hour. Only this time, some of the patrons stood in his way and didn’t move. “Why don’t you go fuck another guy’s bitches!” shouted one man, while others crowded around him and took the girl away.
“We don’t like you waltzing in here like you own the place!” shouted another.
The man didn’t move. Then one of the patrons struck him over the head with a booze bottle. That was all the man was waiting for. A dagger in one hand and a laser pistol in the other, he quickly laid the patrons to the floor, all wounded, and to never know the pleasures of their women again.
What customers didn’t stand in his way, slinked back, as he again took the girl to his room. “Why does he keep coming here?” demanded many of the customers, as they helped their fallen friends to a healer. The barman just collected his money and wiped down his bar.
“They say you come here often, some of the girls say you leave never satisfied.”
“Remove your clothes, or I will cut them from your skin.”
“Demanding aren’t we…Alright, all right. But I promise you, you won’t need those three other girls. I’ll take all you can give.”
“Yes. You will. As will they.”
Another dead end. Somehow the lady scientist just disappeared. “Ok, let me think.” D looked over to Kale as she pondered what they knew. He hated to see her strain over problems that weren’t her own to be concerned with, but she did come up with some plausible theories as to where the elusive woman had gone. “I’m a scientist, brilliant, who no longer has to be concerned about values. My master wants to be free of the dark, wolves are the key. I need wolves to do my work, a place to work, where no one will ask questions. Two hunters are after me. Where would I go…?”
“I’m telling you, if they don’t find her soon, I’m going out there tok mok myself!”
Kale turned from her musings to the two men just sitting down at the table next to theirs. “What’s wrong?” she asked.
The older man turned and looked her over. “You’re better off not knowing,” he said.
“Please, I’d like to help if I can.”
“Go on Gin. Tell her, the more people we warn, the better.”
“All right. My sister, she’s a whore at a bar in the next town. Now I don’t like it, but she chose that life it’s up to her. Some guy rides into town every now and then, takes four girls to his bed for about 36 hours, then shortly after he leaves, the girls disappear. No one’s seen them since.”
“Have you got a description of the guy?”
“No. They wont tell me anything. And Lori’s been gone two months now. I just got here so that I’m closer, but if by tomorrow there’s no word. I’m going out to look myself. To hell with that incompetent sheriff.”
Kale sat back in her chair. “D? Would the vampire take people he thought were lowly, turn them and…”
“Use them to test the scientist’s work? Yes.”
“Then I ask you. Why are we sitting here?” D threw a few coins on the table to pay for their tea, and left for the stable. Kale close on his heals. “I thought that when a Vampire died, their castle sank into the ground.”
“Not if the Vampire just moves out. He can come back later. I never said the vampire in this area was dead.”
“Well this one soon will be.” She followed D’s running steed out of the village gates, heading towards the only other village within an easy ride.
Again, he left the room. Four women inside sleeping strewn across the bed. He paid the barkeeper the money for the services of the other three girls, and left. Few of the villagers challenged him, not after the last time. He mounted his horse and rode out of town. All knowing he’d be back.
The bar owner entered the room the man had just vacated, shaking the unconscious girls. “Get up! Get cleaned up and get downstairs. I open in and hour.”
“Can’t we sleep?” one begged, “That guy fucks like a rabbit. I don’t even remember him stopping before I fell asleep.”
“Yeah, he fucked us all night!” said another.
The barman drew his belt off and struck it harshly across the women’s backs through the sheets. “I don’t give a shit!!” he yelled. “You signed a contract, and you will hold to it! Now get moving!” The girls quickly scrambled off the bed, grabbing their clothes and left crying. The man toured the room, looking through everything, as he always did, looking for valuables left behind. As always with this man, there was nothing. “Janice! Clean this room!” he yelled as he left.
“Yes sir.”
The village was small, about thirty structures. Most were houses, or boarding houses. As with many villages, the main street was where all the commerce was. General stores, bars, Inns, small banks, buy and sells, stables, and so on. There were seven bars, but only one offered rooms to rent, aside from the common whore’s rooms. Together D & Kale stabled their horses and went to the bar. Everyone at once turned and looked at them, many at once getting out of the way. “I guess they don’t like strangers,” she commented quietly.
D stepped up to the bar and laid a few coins on the counter. “A quiet room and two meals,” he said calmly.
“Yes sir,” the man glanced first to Kale as she settled her saddlebags across her arms, then back to D. “The usual tonight sir?” he asked.
“That’s fine,” Kale answered for him, seeing he wasn’t in the mood. “Could you make one of the dinners with rare meat, the other au usu usually do it?”
“Yes ma’am,” he slid the key across the counter and nodded to the lady from the kitchen, who disappeared beyond the door. “The meals will be ready in a few minutes.”
“Send them up,” said D, and led Kale to the room.
The room was small, though most were. It consisted of a double bed, a nightstand on either side. Next to the door, a double chest of drawers, and a wing chair next to it. The lav was in the far corner, next to the window, a coat rack set in the corner, moved there by the cleaner from near the door but never put back. A fold up table was hanging against the lav wall, a fold out bench with it for company, should the room occupant have any. “Nice,” said Kale, flopping down on the bed, heddleddlebags dropped on the floor. D closed the door and set his bags in the chair, pulling down the table and bench. “I’d hate to say it D, but I think we better talk to the hookers. They’d hear most of what is going on around here.” D moved to the window, not saying a word. “I’ll try not to be jealous,” she cooed. D just tilted his head back to her. “What is it?”
“It is a vampire,” he said, “but something isn’t right.”
“Is it weak, or sick?”
“Vampires don’t get sick. I’m not sure what it is, but this doesn’t feel right. This town, this place, this room…something is wrong.”
A soft knock came to the door, Kale opened it and allowed the kitchen woman to come in, and set their meals on the table. “Miss, are there any old structures, castles or the like, near here?”
“Only one,” she answered. “It was the estate to the mayor’s family. But no one has lived there for many years, too far away. It’s a bit run down, I think someone said the roof caved in last winter.”
“Where?” asked D, not turning from the window.
“The other side of the hill, north of town, about two miles.”
“Thanks. Here,” Kale handed the woman four coins. “As a tip. Don’t let your boss see it. I’ve a feeling he’ll take it.”
“Yes, he would. And thank you.” And the woman left them.
“We’ll eat & then leave,” she said as she stepped up to him. “D? You ok?”
He said nothing as he turned, lacing his arms around her waist, pulling her against him, his lips pressing hers to a hungry kiss. Eagerly his tongue spread through her mouth, tasting her sweetness. His hands spread over her back, and buttocks, pulling her against his growing eagerness. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he released his kiss, and moved along her chin to her neck, leaving gentle kisses as he passed.
Suddenly he pushed her away, causing her to stumble onto the bed. For a moment she thought he’d join her, only to watch him swiftly retreat to the lav, slamming the door. “D? D! What’s wrong?” she called, hearing his ragged breathing and groans of effort to maintain control. Quickly she rummaged through his saddlebags, finding the blood pills, she crushed one into the cup of water, and returned to the lav door. “D, here, open the door.”
“No!” he growled.
“Either you open the door, or I will. Come on D. I’ve got a cup for you, now come on!” The door opened slightly, just enough for her to put the cup on the counter inside. As she pulled her hand out, the sla slammed again. “I’m here D. It’ll be ok.”
He slammed the cup onto the counter, his fangs finally retreating into his gums. “D?” whispered a small voice. “What happened?”
“I nearly bit her,” he hissed. “It’s never happened like that.”
“Have you got control now?”
D took a few more deep breaths, before whipping his face with the cloth. “I think so.”
“She’s worried about you.”
“I know.”
“You should talk to her about this. Maybe she has some insight.”
“Be still!”
“It’s not like she’s not going to notice.”
“We recently came from a bloody battle. I hadn’t taken blood pills sense then, I’ve been fighting this…”
“…and she’ll see right through your lie.”
He sighed. “I don’t know what happened.”
“Then tell her.”
Shamefully he left the lav, to find Kale pacing across the visage of the window. He couldn’t bear to look at her, knowing he had planned to lie to her. When he saw her worried face turn to him, he couldn’t face her, even though he’d tell her the truth. “We can get through this,” she sighed, her gentle hand to his cheek.
He could smell her blood beneath her skin, could see the gentle beat of her pulse in her wrist. “Don’t,” he whispered, feeling the raw desire for blood rise once more. “I feel…I don’t know what’s going on Kale. For now, we can’t be. Please understand?”
“Yes, and no, but…I’ll do as you ask. Come on, our dinners are getting cold.”
They ate quietly, D too ashamed of his actions to talk about it, Kale respecting his silent request to leave it alone. Near the end of their dinner, someone again knocked on the door. D stood perplexed, staring at three of the bar girls in the hall. “It’s been an hour sir,” said the brunet, lowering her blouse and stepping closer to him. Kale at once slapped her hand away from him, pushing D back into the room and slamming the door on the girls.
“Get Lost SLUTS!!” she shouted. The girls first looked to each other. Relieved, they returned to the main room.
“What was that all about?” D asked her.
“I think that is what they call the usual. A meal, then you take your pick of three girls for the night. To think that one of them would DARE…!” For a moment, D could feel the tug of his cheek muscles to smile. Though he still didn’t. She was fantastic. He didn’t listen to what she was saying, or rather ranting, about other women touching him. She was frantic. And yet, she was beautiful.
‘I guess it’s true,’ he thought. ‘A woman is most beautiful, when she’s angry.’ “Kale…”
“…I’ll rip her fingernails out…!!!”
“KALE!” At once, she stopped, facing him, sprawled across the bed, where he’d let himself fall after she pushed him back. “Come here,” he said softly. She knelt down on the bed, letting him pull her to a kiss. “Has the sun set?” he asked at last.
“Hum??” She glanced out the window at the darkening amber sky. “Yes.”
“Good. Let’s go.” Lately it has been difficult for D to travel in the day, the summer heat rising higher as they traveled further inland. She didn’t mind. She didn’t like the heat either, and the lakes and rivers here were too polluted to swim in. So she’d wait till nightfall, resting in his arms and continuing on in the dark, safe in knowing that his gifted sight, and the scanners of their horses would keep them from falling.
Whenever he entered a room, he commanded attention, weather he wanted it or not. The once rowdy bar quieted upon his entrance, he calmly strode to the bar, stopping only a few seconds to stare down some of the patrons who blocked his path.
