Kaoru's tears
CHAPTER 2 *Miss Kaoru\'s tears*
I don’t have, don’t need, and don’t want any Rurouni Kenshin characters
Though since this is my longest chapter so far , I don’t know if I screwed it up

(still Kenshin POV)
strange
Miss Kaoru cried on my shoulder again today
I don’t know how she can hold so many tears
I haven\'t cried since I was young
though I still want to sometimes
I wanted to when Yahiko died.
And when Sanoske passed away
Miss Megumi has also cried on my shoulder
as well as on my back and on my arms.
I close my eyes when I see them
I cannot stand much more of this suffering
odd how someone who will never take another life
feels responsible for someone else’s grief.
Yet whenever I pick up my Sabatou, I can
almost feel the tears in my eyes being absorbed
and frozen somewhere else.
I have a strange dream now
of Sanoske on his bed, coughing up more
and more blood onto Miss Megumi
until she drowns in it.
And I always wake up then
horrified, and strangely calm
why not, I’ve killed so many
two deaths are nothing
yet I can still hear Miss Megumi sobbing
as the blood finally covers her head.
I have this dream surprisingly often
but it never comes when I had a bad day
as if it only comes to remind me
how my life has become and
to not be happy

(Authors Note: I don’t know if I named the reverse-bladed sword right by calling it
sabatou so if anyone knows if I spelled it wrong, I’d be grateful.)
