Setsuna's Sun Prince

Setsuna's Sun Prince: Prologut. 2t. 2)



Time: A thousand years in the past, during the heyday of the Silver Millenium


Place: Crystal Tokyo at the Crystal Palace of Moon Queen Serenity. Queen

Serenity is watching as Sun Prince Takeru has given an orange rose in full bloom

to one of her advisors, Princess Setsuna of Pluto. All of the others are a bit

stunned and aren't doing a good job of hiding it.


"Than...than.... Thank you Prince Takeru. I don't know what to say"

"Then don't say anything. Just save a dance for me later, highness.",


At the quietly spoken request, Setsuna nods and then moves back a step as
Takeru steps down from the dais.
Prince Darien has watched the whole scenario with a hint of amusement. Princess
Serena is a bit confused. Her majesty Queen Serenity is mentally sighing with
relief. The other princesses are beginning to snicker with Princess Haruka of
Uranus, trying hard to conceal a full-blown laugh, by covering her mouth with
the sleeve of her dress.

As he steps down, Takeru, catches Darien's not so subtle wink and nod.
Muttering to himself, Takeru,
turned around and stood next to Darien once again.

"Well your majesty, may I have your permission to ask Princess Serena to
dance with me?" asked Darien of the Queen.

"Why yes, of course, Prince Darien. However, I must have the first
dance. Since I intend to have the first dance, I will dance with your best man.
To see if he is as good as I think he is." replied the queen with a Cheshire cat
grin on her face as she stood and extended her hand to the now completely
stunned Sun Prince.


"Your majesty, are you sure that you want to dance with me instead of Prince
Darien. He is a much better dancer than I." Stated a somewhat nervous Takeru.

"Nonsense, I can dance with him at the wedding. I want to dance with you
now. After I am finished, You will then dance with my daughter. After her, the
rest of her court will dance with you in any order you wish. And I am not
making this a request." replied a smug looking queen.

"As you wish, your Majesty." answered a subdued Sun Prince.


As the two couples stepped out to the center of the ballroom floor, Prince
Darien and Princess Serena were quietly talking. It seems that Darien was
enjoying himself immensely as he watched Prince Takeru escort the Queen to the
dance floor and waited for the music to begin.

"Darien, I have a question. Why are you enjoying yourself at your friends'
expense? Takeru seems like a nice person to me. Why are you treating him this
way?" asked Princess Serena as she and Darien waltzed across the
floor.

"My darling, you don't understand. Taki is somewhat of a recluse. To get
him here, I had to go look for him for about an hour. For some odd reason, he
doesn't like to be in a crowd. In a way, he is almost like Setsuna. He is just
as mysterious about himself as she is. I believe the queen sensed it herself.
That is why she is making him dance with her and the rest of you. This gives
her the chance to make a judgement on her own. From what I know about your
mother, she will wait until she gets all the information gathered from you and
the rest before she decides."


On the other side of the floor, Takeru is feeling extremely nervous. Here he
is, dancing with the Queen of the Moon Kingdom. He wasn't expecting this when
he came.

"I hope that I don't trip over myself or step on her feet. That would be
mortifying. I have to dance with all the princesses too. Oh boy, this is
going to be an interesting night." , thought Takeru.

Back at the dais holding the thrones, all of the other princesses are teasing
Setsuna about the young prince's actions.


"Ohh Setsuna, I think that Prince Takeru has a crush on you. What did you
do to him?", teased Princess Lita of Jupiter

"I... I... I... I didn't do anything, I just bumped into him earlier and
spilled my drink on him.", replied a slightly blushing Princess of Pluto.

"He is cute, in a mysterious way if you look at him. I wonder where he is
staying. Hey Lita, do you think that he is crashing over at the Earth compound
with Darien.? I think that is the only place he could stay.", observed Princess
Mina of Venus.

"Actually girls, Sun Prince Takeru has reopened the Solar family compound.
It is close to the compound for the first family of Pluto. It is a rather
beautiful compound. Among all of the compounds, its looks are almost comparable
to that of the Crystal Palace. That is only because the same architect designed
them both. Princess Serena's great-grandfather commissioned the design, basing
it, rather loosely I might add, on the Crystal Palace itself.", interjected
Baroness Luna.

Of course, being the way they are, the princesses grasped onto the fact that it
was close to where Setsuna was staying as more fuel to taunt the mysterious,
older princess.

Back out in the middle of the dance floor, the orchestra had switched to a
slightly faster song and Takeru was dancing with the Moon Princess. Taki seemed
to be enjoying this only slightly bettean dan dancing with the queen herself.

"So, Prince Takeru, how and where did you meet my precious Darien.??"


"Your Highness, I met Prince Darien when we both were still little. My
family just happened to be on Earth taking a vacation and keeping our true
identity a secret. However, as you know, a royals' work is never done. As a
courtesy to The King and Queen of the Earth, we had to pay a social call on them
to let them know we were visiting and to not let anybody from the Sun know where
we were. While in the Great Palace on Earth, I just happened to wander off
and get lost. Hell, I was only about 3 or 4 years old at the time. While
wandering around, I just happened to wander into a small exercise room where a
small boy was praticing with a sword. I stood and watched for a minute or three
and then started to walk out. However, my fencing instructor just happened to
be on Earth that day to start working with Darien. He took it upon himself to
introduce us and start us as sparring partners. From that day on, Darien and I
have been friends, sparring partners, and the occassional enemy where women are
concerned. When he told me that he had met his future wife, I couldn't believe
it, but at the same time I was happy for him.", answered Takeru slowly.

As the night continued, Takeru took a turn and danced with each of the
princesses. Answering their questions that he could, fending off those that he
didn't want to answer, and in some extreme cases, keeping two of the inner
princesses (guess which two) from trying to claim him as their own. Takeru even
danced a little bit with the Princess of Uranus and
the Princess of Neptune. Finally, (and due to some sneaky behind the scenes
manipulating by the Lunar Queen Mother and her equally sneaky daughter), Takeru
ended up with Princess Setsuna. By some odd quirk of fate (or a simple but
indiscreet order by the moon princess), the orchestra had chanced upon a very
long instrumental piece that had been brought back in time by Setsuna on one of
her trips to the future.


As the music started, Takeru was thinking, "How beautiful she is. Yet she is as
mysterious as me, if not more so."

Princess Serena and Prince Darien were also dancing to this last song. Serena
was doing more watching than dancing.

"My dear sweet moon princess, I daresay, what is that look on your face.?
You look as if you are the cat that ate the canary. By the way, I like this
song, would you happen to know the name of it.", asked a contented Darien.

"Hmmm, oh yes. Setsuna brought this piece back from Earth in the future.
Momma fell in love with it when she first heard it. She ordered the orchestra
to learn it and play it as the last song at all of her future Royal Balls. I
think it is called 'Moments in Love' . As for your observation, and I know you
meant for this to happen, I believe that Takeru and Setsuna would make a great
couple. They look as if they belong together. See the look on her face?",
replied a slightly distracted Serena.

"Actually, I had planned on him meeting someone to bring out his more
playful side. I thought he would fall for Princess Jupiter. Although, from what
I know of him, I believe Takeru is better off with Setsuna.", returned Darien.

Across the floor, the female half of the object of their conversation was slowly
starting to relax. Setsuna had been slightly upset, when she heard the opening
chords of her favorite future song. She had had been a slight flash of anger
when she realized that the Queen mother and her daughter had planned it that
way.

"I am going to repay her back for this. I know this was mainly Serena's
idea, but her majesty had to have a hand in it.", thought Setsuna. Shortly
afterwards she had another thought.

"Prince Takeru is a handsome young man. I wonder if he has someone waiting
for him back on the Sun."

Unconsciously, Setsuna placed her head against Takeru's chest. Somewhere in the
back of her mind, she marveled at how firm it was. At the same time, Setsuna
also wondered how soft his chest was. As she relaxed with the music, she
allowed her hands to creep up around Taki's neck. When they weren't immediately
removed, she exaulted in the fact that she was wrong in her assumptions.

As tho coo couples danced, Queen Serenity was joking with Baron Artemis and
Baroness Luna. Queen Serenity was sitting on her throne with the two advisors
standing beside her. Baroness Luna seemed a bit peeked and exhausted.

"Hmm, I believe we might be having a double wedding in a couple of months.
It seems that young Prince Takeru and Princess Setsuna are falling for each
other. I figure that, if asked directly, Setsuna will deny it. I believe the
same goes for Darien's friend. One of these days, I will have to invite The
King and Queen of the Sun out here for a lunch. maybe we can discus that
unhappy little incident from quite a few years back."

"YOUR MAJESTY, I beg your pardon. I don't think that they are going to
fall in love that rapidly. Besides, how long is he going to be here?"

"I don't know, but at this time I am not very worried about it. If Prince
Darien leaves and heads back to the Earth, I think that Prince Takeru would
leave with him and just depart for the sun"


On the dance floor, the music was coming to an end. Reluctantly, Taki released
Setsuna and escorted her back to the throne, where Queen Serenity waited.

"My Queen, shouldn't you be heading towards the exit to mingle with the
people as they leave. I think not doing this could be a breach of honor."


"Relax Princess of Pluto, My daughter and her fiance are already there.
Baron Artemis and Baroness Luna have left for home. The Baroness wasn't feeling
all that well. Princess Setsuna?"

"Yes, your Majesty."

"Before you head home tonight, I want to talk to you. Well Prince Takeru,
if you don't mind escorting someone older, would you mind escorting me to the
front door. I must thank everyone for coming."

"No your Majesty, I wouldn't mind at all. In fact, it would be an honor
for me to have the most beautiful woman in the ballroom on my arm.", replied
Taki.

"Ohh, you are such the charmer, young prince of the sun. If I were a few
years younger, I would be making a play for you myself.", whispering over her
shoulder to the Princess of Pluto, "Setsuna, don't lose him. I believe he will
make your life a bit better. He is a keeper. Just like Prince Darien."

"Mother, I heard that, Darien is mine!", replied Serena from a distance.


As the Royal party walked up to the door, Takeru caught many a glance from some
of the people around and he began to worry. Once at the door to the Palace,
the party took their places. With Prince Takeru taking the position of honor at
her right hand. Through some adroit manoeuvering, and some icy glares from the
Moon Princess, Setsuna found herself next to Takeru. Next to her was Princess
Haruka. Gazing out of the corner of her eye, Haruka saw what was being planned.

Hoping to help out her friend, Haruka gently grasped Setsuna's shoulder and
propelled her closer to the dashing young Sun Prince.

Once everybody was outside in the slightly chilly air, one of the court
photographers started to prepare his equipment. Seeing this, Takeru decided to
slowly disappear before the picture was taken.

"Oh Prince Takeru, I hope you are not planning on leaving us so soon. It
is time for the Royal picture to add to the collection. Besides, I want you to
stand here, next to Princess Setsuna."

Grinning, wolfishly, Queen Serenity, moved everyone around so that she would
have Serena and Darien on her left side and Princess Setsuna and Prince Takeru
on her right.

Knowing he couldn't get away from the order, Takeru resigned himself and moved
to his assigned position. Once the requisite picture was taken by the
photographer, everybody began start heading for the carriages that would take
them home for the night.

"Prince Takeru, do you have a way to get back to the Solar compound. If so,
can you wait for Princess Setsuna?"

"Yes your majesty, I am riding with Prince Darien and we can take the
princess home."

"Thank you Prince Takeru.", replied a smug queen.


"Now why do I feel as if I just felt like I just fell down the rabbit
hole?", thought Takeru as he and Darien leaned against Darien's carriage.


Inside the palace, after the last guests had left, Queen Serenity and Princess
Setsuna were talking as the Serenity got ready to go to bed. As they were
talking, Princess Serena and her court popped in and sat around listening.

"So, Setsuna, how did you like Sun Prince Takeru. I noticed that you were
fairly close to him as you two danced tonight?"


"Yeah, Setsuna. You two did dance pretty close together. At least closer
than when I danced with him.", piped up a slightly miffed Lita.

"I thought he was sooo kawaii. Hisn wan was the color of a chocolate bar.
I could have ate him up right there in the middle of the dance floor.", chimed
Mina

Back outside, Takeru and Darien were still waiting for the princess.

"Hey Taki?, So what did you think about the Princess of Pluto?"

"Hmm.. wha.. I wasn't paying attention. I was ummm, thinking."

"Yeah, I'll bet you were thinking. The question is, who or what were you
thinking about.?"

"HEY, that is none of your actual business!"

Inside, 5 princesses and one queen (all beauties in their own way), where still
talking about the evening. Actually, 4 of the princesses and the queere ere
still embarrassing the fifth princess.

"Setsuna, how did you feel, all snuggled up to him like you were?", asked a
somewhat nervous Moon Princess.

"SERENA!!!!, that is none of your business." screeched a highly embarassed
Pluto princess.

"Oh come on, tell, tell, tell."

"Yeah, spill it. We want to know!"


"We can see that he affected you in some way."


"If you don't want to tell us, Princess Setsuna. You don't have too.
Unlike the others, I am not really that interested in finding out.",

"AMI!!", blurted out Lita, Mina, Rei, and Serena.

Queen Serenity only smiled a knowing smile. Remebering how it was when she was
that age.

"Okay, girls, I think it is time for the rest of you all to go to bed. It
is getting late. I think you all have had enough fun at Setsuna's expense.
Besides, she has a ride waiting outside."

A chorus of aww mom, and your majesty; greeted this statement.

"I mean it. You four can talk it over in Serena's chambers. I see that you
have the sleeping bags all spread out around the food tray. Right now I have to
talk to the Princess of Pluto alone."

"But mom.....,", whined Serena.

"Out, Serena. If you are nice you can ask Setsuna tomorrow." Replied
Serenity, quite sternly, to her daughter and the apple of her eye.


"O mot mother dearest.", replied a very subdued Moon Princess.

Queen Serenity watched as Serena, Ami, Rei, Lita, and Mina (dressed in their
sleeping clothes) dejectedly trooped out.

"Now that the 4 busybodies are gone. I can tell you to take the morning off
tomorrow and go riding with the Sun Prince. I hear that he is going horseback
riding. Come to t of of it, I might send Serena along with Darien so the four
of you could have a picnic. I am sure I can assign the other 4 inner princesses
to some mundane duties. I think Haruka, Michiru, and Hotaru have other plans."

"Yes your majesty. I will try to enjoy myself."


Setsuna stood up and started towards the door. When she reached it and put her
hand on the knob, she turned around and looked at the queen.

"Between you and me your majesty, I think I do like him. I even maybe
falling in love with Prince Takeru. I don't know just yet. When I find out, You
will be the second person to know. The first will be Prince Takeru himself.",
returned Setsuna. Then she walked out.

In the dim light of her chambers, Queen Serenity smiled. "Heh heh heh, things
are coming along nicely," she thought joyfully.


"Jeez, I wonder what is taking the princess so long."

"Don't worry, she probably finished shortly after we stepped out and got
buttonholed by Serena and her 4 ies.ies. Look her she comes now."

Indeed, as Taki looked towards ste steps, here came his dream. Walking as if she
knew what she was doing.

"Thank you, your highnesses. I really needed this ride. I sent my
carriage home, thinking I was staying the night at the castle. Oh well. Her
majesty is a very strong-willed woman."

"It was no problem, We were headed that way anyway."

As she stepped into the carriage, Taki followed her in and started to sit on the
other side of the carriage. As he sat down, Princess Setsuna came across and sat
down next to him. Looking into his sunburst orange eyes, she stuck a note in
his hand. Then kissed him on the cheek.

"Thank you for the dance, Prince Takeru"

"Y.. y.. your welcome, princess."

Darien just smiled and filed it away as something to tell Serena, next time they
had some time together.

Setsuna was nervous, she had penned the note in a hurry as she came out of the
Palace. At first, she had almost not given it to him. But as she looked at him,
dressed in his grey tuxedo and cape. She got the nerve up and gave it to him.

As the carriage headed off towards the palace of the Solar family, Takeru
debated whether of not to ask the princess if she wanted to go horseback riding
later in the morning. Darien was watching the war of choices going on in
Takeru's mind thh hih his eyes.

"If you want to ask her go ahead. Quit beating yourself up over it.",
whispered the Prince of the Earth to the Prince of the Sun.

"I don't know, Darien. You know my horses don't take too kindly to
strangers. Even when you tried to ride Sunbeam for the first time, she almost
tossed you off. And she is one of the most even tempered of them all.. I don't
want to even think about my stallion, Solar Flare accepting some one else to
ride him.", replied a somewhat worried Takeru

"Taki, I have an idea, why don't we go riding tomorrow. I need to exercise
my horse, Garnett.", interjected Setsuna.

"Ok, your highness, if you insist."

As they pulled up in front of the small, unobtrusive cottage that Setsuna
indicated she was staying while on the moon, Takeru turned and impulsively
kissed Setsuna on the lips.

"Thank you for the wonderful evening princess. I do hope to see you again
while I am here on the moon."

"You will, Prince Takeru. You most definitely will.", replied a blushing
Setsuna as she returned his kiss and stepped out of the carriage.

"Will one of you gentlemen escort a lady to her door.?" asked Setsuna,
impishly.

"But of course, milady. But of course."


After, Takeru escorted her to the door, Setsuna leaned in close to him and
returned his earlier kiss (with interest). Parting his lips and slipping her
tongue inside his mouth to tease him with a taste of what could lay in store for
their future.

Opening the door after the breathless kiss they just shared, Setsuna shyly
looked back and winked at a slightly befuddled (but otherwise very happy) Prince
of the Sun.

"Until tomorrow, my handsome prince of light. I will be waiting."

And with that, Setsuna walked inside and closed the door.

Takeru, was on Cloud 9 as he walked back to a smiling Darien and the carriage
(although the horses looked a bit miffed. So did the driver)

"Okay, you can take me home now."

While the two princes were heading towards the Solar cottage where Takeru was
staying, an evil queen and her daughter were planning some mayhem in anther part
of the Galaxy. The two ladies of evil were in a dark throne room. Also in the
throne room were the four former generals to the Prince of the Earth.

"Malachite, so you are saying, that this Sun Prince is as strong as the
prince of the earth if not stronger."

"Yes, Queen Beryl. Sun Prince Takeru is a force to be reckoned with. He
single-handedly beat all four of us in a tournament. In 5 minutes he had me
beaten."

"Does he have any weaknesses that we can exploit, Nephlite?", asked a
slightly worried looking Queen Beryl.

"The only weakness that I have observed, my queen, is that sometimes,
Prince Takeru is too honorable for his own good. I have seen, with mine own
eyes, him leave a battle to save a commoner. She had been brutally attacked a
few feet from where Takeru was fighting a demon of immeasurable power.", replied
a kneeling Nephlite

"Then that is what we will have to use against him. Sun Prince Takeru must
be distracted while I attack the Crystal Palace and Moon Queen Serenity.
Destroying them all."

"Mother, I believe I can come up with a plan to take care of that
bothersome prince. What i has has to rescue a mere maiden from one of the
generals who turned on the earth prince. I believe I can even capture him and
make him mine. Besides, he is kinda cute.", stated the young girl standing by
Queen Beryl.

"That sounds like it could work, Princess Osmia. I do believe that Prince
Takeru will fall to your charms."

The princess in question was tall. She had long flowing dark brown hair done up
into a easy twist. With a tail hanging down to the middle of her back. A
pretty face with porcelain features. Her most noticable asset were her eyes.
Her eyes were a dark grey. Capable of seducing any man who looked into them, and
then staring coldly as she tortured one of her prisoners to an inch of their
life. Princess Osmia, looked beautiful in an ethereally evil way.

"Princess, to get him under your spell, you are going to need to get him to
take off his sunglasses. He wears them because he doesn't like the way people
stare at his sunburst orange eyes. You will also have to keep them off of his
face until your spell takes effect.", chimed in Jedite.

"One more thing, my princess. If Prince Takeru, somehow slips out of your
control, you are going to have to watch out for his final attack. The Solar
Sword Slash. He does this as a way to finally defeat a really strong opponent.
You will never see it coming. The only way you will know he is in the process
of this attack is that his glasses will come off and his eyes will glow. You
will see the mark of the Sun appear on his forehead and hands. In his hands a
very bright beam of light will shoot forth and form a mid-length sword. That
sword is his Solar Sword. The slash itself will be coming from upper right to
lower left. Although I have never seen it in action, I have caught the
aftermath of such an attack. After the light faded and I was able to see, I
observed that the enemy was no more. There was only a circle of burnt grass
where his enemy had stood. When I turned and looked at the Prince, he was in the
process of putting his sunglasses back on."

"He will never slip out of my control, but if he does, I will look out for
that attack."


Over the next few months, Prince Takeru and Princess Setsuna spent many hours
with each other, when the time allowed it. A few times, Taki, had fallen asleep
on the couch in Setsuna's living room. The first time he did, Taki woke up very
surprised and out of place. Once he realized where he was, he panicked and
started to hurry out of the cottage when he heard Setsuna in the kitchen cooking
breakfast.

After awhile they got used to it. Sometimes Setsuna would fall asleep in his
arms while over at his cottage and Takeru would put her in one of the guest
bedrooms.

Many a time they would go horseback riding. Usually, with Princess Serena and
Prince Darien. When this occurred, Serena and Setsuna would make a picnic lunch
and either Darien or Takeru would carry it.

As time passed, Darien, Serena, Queen Serenity, and the others noticed that the
mysterious princess and her equally mysterious prince were breaking down the
barriers between them and becoming more open with the others.

One afternoon, after finishing up some minor jobs, Queen Serenity called for
Princess Setsuna and decided to find out how things were going between her and
the ever elusive Prince of the Sun.


"Princess Setsuna, would you care to join me for some tea now that we are
finished for the day?"

"Yes, your majesty, I appreciate you inviting me. It has been a long and
trying day."

"Did you have plans for this evening. I hope I am not interfering with
them."

"No your majesty, His Highness Prince Takeru had some things to take care
of with Prince Darien. Taki, told me that he would be late getting back to his
residence for the evening."

Queen Serenity had been pouring a cup of tea for each of them. Now she
hesitated for a brief moment, before putting the teapot back on the warmer.

"I see, you have been spending a lot of your personal time with the prince.
I even know that a few times he has fallen asleep at your cottage and you have
done the same at his."

Setsuna, sweatdrops for a bit and Serenity notices this.

"I am the queen, of course I get reports on you from the captain of my
royal guards. Don't worry, they have orders to leave you alone unless something
happens. Besides, I know nothing of "that" sort has happened between you.
Although I have to admit, the spark is there. Just answer my one question: do
you love him enough to go that final step and open up a whole new level of
intimacy to your relationship with Prince Takeru?"


Setsuna thinks on this for a minute before answering.

"Yes, my queen, I love him with all of my heart. I know that he feels the
same way as I do even though he hasn't admitted it yet. To allay your
curiosity, I believe I would want to spend the rest of my life with him. And
yes I do believe I love him enough to take that final step and prove to him the
depths of my love."

"Well then, go to it. I wish you the best of luck. At the next Royal
Ball, I give you leave to 'disappear' from the party a bit early with your
prince. Make sure I don't see you till the next morning. Late, the next
morning.", smiles Queen Serenity.

The unflappable Princess of Pluto turns bright red at the queen's statement.
Setsuna is so embarrassed that she flees the sanctuary without asking for
permission. This causes, Serenity to laugh long and hard. The queen laughs so
long and so hard tthe the moon princess sticks her head in the door and looks a
bit worried.

"Mother, are you alright? What was so funny that caused you to laugh like
that. Lita, Ami, Rei, and Mina heard you all the way at the other end of the
hallway as we came in."

To confirm this, four other heads peek around the door, looking nervous.
Serenity, blushes for a minute then beckons all five of the younger princesses
in to the room and bades them to take a seat.

"Oh my little princess, ever inquisitive aren't you. Well to answer your
question, I think I kinda embarrassed Setsuna.

"YOU embarrassed the most stoic of all of us princesses. How could you do
that.", said 5 voices raised in disbelief.

"Ahh, for now, that will stay between the princess of Pluto and I. When
the time is right, especially for you my dear, I bet you each will dash out of
this room after the same conversation with me. Now don't go asking Setsuna
about what her and I talked about. That means you Rei, Lita, and Mina. I know
you three were planning on leaving this room and hunting out Setsuna and asking
her."

Three heads hung down dejectedly as the queallealled out the owners' names.

"That goes double for you Serena. At least I know Ami won't go and ask
her. Why don't you five go ahead and get ready for dinner. It is semi-formal
tonight and will be in the family dining room."

"Yes Mother.", answered a somewhat downhearted Serena.

"Yes, your majesty.", replied the other four princesses.

Elsewhere in the Palace, Setsuna, not knowing she was the topic of discussion
between the queen and the five inner princesses. Setsuna was sitting and
staring out the full-length window in her somewhat spacious office.

Hey y'all, she is an advisor to the queen. Of course she has an office with a
view. Now, on with the fic!! ?


As she sat there and contemplated what the queen had hinted at, there was a
knock at her door. It took a short while before she heard the soft tapping.
When she realized what it was, Setsuna turned her chair away from the window and
towards the desk. Trying to make it look like she had been busy.


"Come in, the door is open."


"Hello Sailor Pluto, what are you up to now?"

When the door opened, in walked Sailor Neptune, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor
Saturn. Sailor Uranus had spoken.

"Oh hi Haruka, Michiru, and Hotaru. It is only you three."

"Now that doesn't sound like the Setsuna, Princess of Pluto that we know.",
said the soft-voiced Sailor Neptune, Michiru Kaioh.

"I know, I just have a lot on my mind right now."

"And I bet all of your thoughts are based around a certain dark-skinned
prince. Who just happens not to be here at this time.", joked the short haired
Princess of Uranus, Haruka Ten'ou.

Setsuna only blushed at the statement made by Haruka.

"Why are you blushing like that, Setsuna. Haruka and Michiru say something
to embarrass you.", chimed in a slightly befuddled Sailor Saturn, Hotaru Tomoe.

"Oh never mind. So why did you three stop by my little corner of the
palace. It sure wasn't to rib me about my... slight distraction."

"We just wanted to remind you that dinner tonight is semi-formal and it
is at 7:00. You have been sitting here for about 2 and a half hours doing
nothing but staring out that widow of yours. We just wanted to make sure you
were alright. And we had to sidetrack the other five. They were headed up this
way in a hurry."

At that time, the phone on the desk rang. Setsuna answered it and her face lit
up with joy.

Turning to Michiru, Haruka said,

"Well, we can guess who is on the other end. From the way her face lit up,
it must be Prince Takeru."


Hanging up the phone, Setsuna brimmed with joy about the news she just heard.

"Takeru and Darien are both going to make it to dinner. It is supposed to
be a surprise for Princess Serena. She doesn't know that Darien is back earlier
that he was supposed to be."

"Oh, she is going to be thrilled about this. I cannot wait to see her face
when Darien walks in."

Hanging up at the other end of the phone line, Takeru turned to Darien and said,
"Do you think I did the right thing by getting this ring"

"How many times do I have to tell you? YES, you did the right thing. Now
quit worrying about it."

Takeru shut up and started to peruse some intelligence notes that had been
collated for him and Darien. Reading through the dispatches rapidly, Takeru was
beginning to get a bit bored when a name jumped off of the paper and seared his
retinas. Backing up a bit, Takeru read the report in full. He was alarmed by
what he saw.

"OH SHIT, dammit, not them, when the hell did they show up.", swore a very
highly upset Takeru.

"What is wrong, Taki? Somebody forget to put the reports in order again."

"No, Darien. I think you should read this."

"Tell me the basics, I have other things on my mind. What could possibly
get you so upset"

Reading from the report in his hand, Takeru stated; "In an unconfirmed report
passed on by agent MK, there have been sightings of the 4 former gals als to
Earth Prince Darien in various places. Nephlite, Jadite, Malachite, and Zoicyte
have been spotted either together or alone in many different locations around
the moon. How they got to the moon, undetected by our many undercover agents.
It is reported that they have been occassionally in the company of a young girl
about the age of the Outer Princesses. This gis ans an unknown quantity. She is
tall and has grey eyes."

"Aww dammit, how the hell did they sneak by our defenses. We put those
security measures especially in place for them. We need to let the queen know.
She needs to cancel the ball that is planned for tomorrow night.", fumed Darien.

"We cannot do that. If we do that, they will know we are on to them and
then they will disappear. We need them so we can find out who this girl is.
She might be trouble."

"Okay, but we got to let the queen know. That is regardless of anyth
el
else."

As he was saying this, Darien was reng fng for the direct line to Queen
Serenity. The conversation was short and to the point.

"Okay, the queen has been notified. She has a plan. She is going to cast
suspicion on me so that we can draw out the traitors. Tomorrow night, at the
ball, I will be pursued by the guards. None of the other princesses know.
However, she has to tell Setsuna and enlighten her to the plan."

"I understand. If we are attacked here, I will command our forces till you
are able to take over."

"Yes." To the driver of the carriage, "Alert all of the posts. Tell them
to get ready for battle. Inform them that Prince Takeru will be in charge until
I am able to take command myself. Take us to the palace and enter through the back way. We should be able to avoid being noticed until it is time to act. I know that you have to visit Setsuna and tell her that you made it in. Take care of it and then go to the armory and arm up all of the guards you can see. I will be getting together with the royal guardsmen who are in on the plan."

And with that, the two princes lapsed into silence. Contemplating the dangers
that lay ahead.

"Okay, Princess Osmia, tonight is the night. Queen Beryl will be attacking
head on. Before she attacks, you need to have the Prince of the Sun under your
control. Preferably, unconscious. That will make it easier for us."

"I understand. Just make sure you do your part. This has got to be
believable."

"It will be. Trust me, I know my part."

And so it was that, a few hours before the beginning of the ball, a young
commoner girl ran out into the street and crashed into Prince Takeru. Knocking
them both down to the ground. Looking behind her she began to shriek, telling
the dazed Takeru, that one of the traitorus generals from Earth was after her.

Being the way he is, Taki turned to face Nephlite as he came out of the alley.
Unbeknownst to Taki, Princess Osmia was jabbing a needle that she held hidden in
her hand, into his back. Thus rendering him unconscious. Unfortunately, Setsuna
had seen the whole thing happen but was too far away to help the man she loved.

Due to this, the forces of the Silver Kingdom fought a good fight. But losing
their commander, The Prince of the Earth and his love the Princess of the Moon
to the evil Beryl, and then losing their vice-commander The Prince of the Sun to
her daughter. They suffered a shattering defeat.

As she watched over this, Queen Serenity did the only thing she could. She used
the power of the Imperium Silver Crystal to defeat Beryl and then send the
children of the moon to the earth a thousand years in the future to be born
again and hopefully have a peaceful life. She also sent Baroness Luna and Baron
Artemis to the same time period to find the children and when the time is right
to bring them together. This used up the last of her power and saying farewell
to her daughter, knowing she wouldn't see her again, the queen died.

The other princesses, Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn. Were sent to Earth along with
the inner princesses but they wouldn't know their true identities till much
later.

As for Setsuna, Princess of Pluto and The Guardian of Time. With the loss of
her one true love, she transported herself to the Gateway to the Time Portal, to
stand guard until the day her love will be returned to her.

Author's Notes:

Okay, I finally finished the second part of my prologue to Setsuna's Sun Prince.
Now I can start on the main part. I broke the prologue down into two parts
because, frankly I didn't want to type that much up for the first part (I know I
know. This is pretty long itself. Color me lazy sometimes).

The first main chapter should be coming out in a few weeks. Unlike my Robotech
fanfic, I am doing this straight off the top of my head. Not writing my thoughts
down in a notebook then transfering them to computer.


First off, I want to thank my pre-readers: Sonja-The-Saiyan, Princess Amber
Rose, and Hotohouri a.k.a. Cloud Mcdole. Thank y'all for supporting me and
giving me ideas. I know there are some I didn't mention. I apolegize if I did.

Next off, I am sorry it took so long for this 2nd part to my prologue to come
out. I was also working on my Robotech fanfic. (the next part should be out
soon). Plus I am in the middle of switching jobs (gotta do something, cannot
sit at the computer all day and work on stories. ?)

I do hope you enjoy this. For those of you how R & R and C & C the first part of
the prologue. Thanx. Now any and all mistakn thn the time line or sequence of
events are mine. I deeply apoligize for them and maybe next time I will get it
