Chapter 2:
When Ryo awoke he sighed contentedly, feeling warm and happy. Turning on his side, he instinctively searched for his blonde lover with his hand. Immediately upon not finding what he was searching for, he sat up in surprise as his hand only met with emptiness. He scanned the room and was greatly disappointed when he didn't find the blonde. Where was he?
Ryo got up and dressed quickly, feeling a little hurt by the fast departure of the other man. Leaving the room, the young king walked down the corridors, his thoughts drifting back to the blonde. Though he had only saw him once, he could already feel something between them. What, he didn't know yet.
As he was pondering this new turn of events, Ryo failed to notice his best friend who was coming toward him. Rowen didn't miss him though and called out as soon as he spotted the king.
"Hey Ryo! How are you? Did you spend a good night?"
The blue hair boy asked slyly with a grin on his face. Ryo, who had stopped to greet him, raised an eyebrow at him.
" do do you mean?"
Rowen's grin turned into a smirk.
"Oh come on, you know what I mean. Who was that hot blonde who left your room yesterday? I didn't have time to ask her name. And by the way, I thought you didn't like girls?"
Ryo smiled.
"I don't like girls. That hot blonde was a boy Rowen, despite his clothes."
Rowen gasped and stared at Ryo in disbelief.
"No way! You're joking right?"
Ryo shook his head and made his way to the kitchen. Yesterday's activity had left him very hungry. Rowen followed him with an odd look on his face.
"Wouah... if you hadn't told me, I would never have guess it was a boy. Even his voice was as soft as a girl's."
Ryo stopped and stared at him.
"You talked to him?"
"Yes. Well I wouldn't have if I hadn't caught him walking out of your room. I asked him what he was doing and he just said to tell you that he was sorry he couldn't stay with you a little longer. That's why I asked you in the first place if you had a good night."
Ryo nodded absently. So this was the explanation . . .
"Did he said anything else?"
"Err . . . wait a second . . . yes! He said he would be back tonight, if you want him too."
"Of course I want him too!"
Ryo exclaimed, feeling almost dizzy with joy. He was going to see him again! With that he left Rowen, breakfast forgotten in his joy and impatience for night to fall.
****
Ryo, after leaving Rowen, found himself in his flower garden. Deciding to spend the morning there, he daydreamed about his beautiful blonde. He met Dais on his way and told him to send him Sage again tonight. The white-haired man seemed more than happy to oblige, but Ryo was far too gone in his own world to notice. Now that he knew Sage would be there for him tonight, nothing else mattered.
The rest of the day was just plain boring king duty and Ryo could barely stay concentrated on it for more than a minute. Thus, pissing off his counselors and getting odd looks and smirks from Rowen. At last it was time for him to retire to his bedroom and to meet his beautiful blonde. Ryo was grinning from ear to ear when he left the throne room.
****
Opening the door to his room, the first thing Ryo saw was Sage, lying on the bed, seemingly asleep and wearing the same outfit as the night before. Ryo's breath caught in his throat as he walked slowly to the bed, careful not to wake the sleeping boy.
He took the time to watch him, his delicate face and curves of his body and couldn't help but feel the same heat as the previous night. Driven by pure instinct, he lightly brushed his fingers against Sage's cheeks in a gentle caress causing the boy's eyes to flutter open. Pale violet eyes made softer by sleep.
"Oh, my lord you are here!"
Sage said in a happy little whisper, sitting up on the bed. Ryo smiled at him and sat by his side, taking the blonde in his arms and kissing him passionately. Sage moaned in surprise and delight, before relaxing completely in his lord's arms. Ryo groaned low in his throat and quickly took control of the other boy, who didn't seemed to mind in the slightest.
Ryo pushed the green top up and started kissing and nipping at the pale flesh, listening to the boy's whimpers and soft moans. He then slid lower down the blonde's body, licking Sage's navel in the process, remembering how sensitive the boy had been around that area. The blonde soon started panting and shivering, trying hard not to vocalize his pleasure too loudly.
Ryo, quite happy with the response he was getting, decided it was time to speed things up a little and turned Sage around on his stomach. The blonde looked up at him curiously but didn't question him. Good. Ryo's hands rested on the blonde's hips and started playing with the gold belt of his skirt, making Sage whimper even more.
"Those clothes sure are a turn-on my beauty, but you are wearing way too much of them." Ryo purred in the blonde's ear while his hands discarded Sage's green skirt, letting the soft cloth fall to the floor. The blonde blushed and smiled shyly at Ryo, pushing his hips back against the dark-haired lord, feeling the hard desire of the other man against his rear and knowing perfectly he was the cause of it.
Ryo gasped at the movement. Despite having already shared his bed with the blonde once, such boldness in a creature that seems so shy still amazed him. But that impatience reminded him of his own desire, burning and almost hurting with its intensity. No wanting to waste any more time, Ryo took off his clothes as quickly as humanly possible, almost ripping the clothes from his body.
Beneath him Sage was also burning with desire, his previous encounter with the lord had left him thirsty for more; he could hardly wait. So when he finally felt Ryo's hands on his hips, he sighed in happiness. A sigh that soon became a gasp when Ryo's fingers slid inside him.
Ryo heard the soft gasp of his lover and felt the muscle tighten around his fingers. He stopped, waiting for the blonde to relax before going any deeper. Then he pushed his fingers in a little more and watched with a feeling close to rapture as Sage arched his back with a low moan.
Ryo started to slide his fingers in and out of his lover's body with a slow rhythm, watching the blonde's breath become fa by by the seconds. He could clearly see that Sage was very aroused, face flushed and panting hard now, trying to stay still but involuntarily rocking his hips against Ryo's fingers. That did it for the black-haired lord.
Ryo withdrew his fingers from Sage's body and holding the blonde's hips still, pushed his rock hard member into the tight opening in one single thrust. Sage's mouth dropped open in a silent cry of ecstasy, his hands gripping the sheets tightly and throwing his head back as he felt himself being impaled, pleasure running through his body in waves.
Behind him, Ryo was trying to remember how to breathe, the pleasure he was feeling almost too much for him. When he was in control of himself once more, he began to move gently, making slow, experimental thrusts into the beautiful body under him.
Sage was motionless on the mattress, almost mindless with pleasure. His lord was hitting all the right spots inside him, especially that little spot that made him shudder, cry out and beg for more of the hard thrusts all at the same time. His body fell into the pace his lord was making and soon the room was filled with soft moans, harsh groans and other erotic sound
An
And so the sweet, ageless dance kept going, driving the two boys insane with pure ecstasy. Somewhere in his mind Sage vaguely realized that it was even better than the first time he did it with Ryo, and the memory combined with the actual act made it all the more pleasurable. Finally reaching the breaking point, he cried out, liquid heat flowing through his body as he felt Ryown own release pouring into him.
Spent, Sage laid trembling on the mattress, still feeling the last effects of his release. He could still feel Ryo buried deep within him, and he liked it. He could also feel Ryo's light breath on his neck as he tried to breathe normally once more.
Then Ryo shifted behind him and he felt Ryo's sex leaving his body, making him sigh both in pleasure and protest. Ryo collapsed next to him with a smile, placing the sheets around them.
"Sleep angel. You need it."
Sage just smiled back softly and closed his eyes. Soon his breathing slowed down and Ryo knew he was asleep. Ryo closed his eyes as well and let exhaustion claim him. ********
Later that night, Sage woke up quite suddenly and sat up on the bed, a faraway look in his eyes, breathing fast. He closed his eyes and took a shaky breath before opening his eyes again to gaze at the sleeping Ryo next to him, his eyes shining strangely. Getting up, he gazed through the large window of the room, watching the pale silver moon outside.
A single tear ran down his cheek, but stayed unnoticed by the blonde. Sage turned away from the window and gathered his clothes, putting them on quickly. Leaving the room discretely, he stopped for just a second before leaving. His lips moved, showing he was speaking, but the words were too soft to be heard. Closing the door gently behind him he left, never turning back.

Two weeks later……
Rowen glanced at Ryo and frowned. The young king was, once again, lost in his thoughts and wasn't listening to one word of what Rowen was saying. The blue-haired boy sighed and waved his hand in front of Ryo's eyes. No reaction.
"Ryo?"
"Euh…… What? What is it?"
"Would you mind coming back among the land of the living my king?"
Ryo grinned apologetically.
"Sorry Rowen, I'm just having trouble concentrating lately, that's all."
"I can see that. It's that blonde, Sage, right?"
Ryo nodded, eyes shining just thinking about his lover and breathing slightly faster. Rowen groaned inwardly. He really didn't need a lovesick Ryo now! Not when Cale, the great Counselor, was suddenly having so much power and seemed to be slowly bending everyone to his will.
Ryo was the king and needed to do something about that, Rowen knew it. He had swore to help the young king no matter what, but now he was clueless as to what to do. He hadn't thought that the king could fall in love. Something was definitely wrong in that picture, and Rowen was determined to found what. Glancing once again at Ryo, Rowen decided to try and see if his suppositions were right.
"Ryo, tell me what you know about Sage."
Ryo seemed startled by the question, and a puzzled look crossed his features after a minute. Rowen sighed, knowing the answer.
"You know nothing about him, right?"
Ryo nodded wordlessly, a look in his eyes that clearly said, "what do you think you are doing ?" But Rowen was having none of it. He had thought about it for quiet a time and this was just the proof he needed. He knew Ryo wasn't going to like this but he didn't have a choice.
"Ryo, I hate to say this to you, but don't you think that it's a little strange, that just like this a beautiful boy suddenly throws himself into your bed? And that after two weeks you still don't know a damn thing about him besides his name? And just in case you hadn't noticed, it's that strange man Dais who sent him to you. And it's Cale who made him come at the castle. Don't you think it's just too much of a coincidence?"
Ryo glared at Rowen, his tiger blue eyes almost black in a rage that Rowen had never seen on the raven-haired boy's face. He stepped back slightly when Ryo advanced toward him, anger almost palpable around him.
"And what exactly do you mean by that? Explain yourself Rowen. What the hell is wrong with you?! I thought that you would be happy for me, instead you are blaming Sage and accusing him of god knows what! I'm really disappointed."
Ryo said just above a whisper, voice deadly cold, as he turned around and left.
Rowen stared at his back, and let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding. Then Rowen also left the room. He needed ans, as, and he needed help. The blue-haired boy naturally ran to the place that had always answered his problem till now, the library.
****
Ryo entered his room and slammed the door behind him with a loud bang. He then threw his cloak on a nearby chair and let himself fall headfirst on his bed. He was so mad he felt like screaming and crying all at the same time.
Why was Rowen doing this to him?! He didn't understand the suspicions of the blue-haired boy and the mere idea that he could accuse his sweet angel of anything was just unbelievable. Ryo tended to believe that Rowen was upset by the attention he was giving to the blonde, but it didn't explain everything.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, Ryo shut his eyes and let sleep claim him, lips curved into a smile at the thought of the blonde angel that was soon going to join him.
****
Rowen set down the heavy book with a groan, coughing at the dust that came flying out of the old book. He rubbed his eyes tiredly and leaned back against the wooden chair, staring unseeingly at the ceiling.
He had been checking all the books of the library for the last four hours and was literally ready to fell asleep on the spot. He was tired as hell and equally desperate. He hadn't found a damn thing on Dais or anything that came close to the odd man. He didn't know what to do anymore.
/Maybe sleep would do me some good,/ he thought as he yawned. Getting up slowly, he left the library, but was determined to come back the next day. He was the best friend of the king and he wasn't going to give up that easily.
Smiling to himself, Rowen made his way to his room. Sleep definitely sounded good right now.
****
Rowen opened his eyes slowly as the sun passed through his window and blinked a few times, trying to adjust his blue eyes to the bright light. Then he pulled himself up on one elbow and yawned widely before throwing the sheets off his body.
Now that the day was beginning, it was time to get back to work. Rowen smiled to himself and got up, still feeling like staying in his warm bed. He and early mornings just do not mix. He grabbed some clean clothes and took his shower quickly before leaving the castle. If he couldn't find anything on Dais in the castle, he would find it in town.
****
Two hours later, Rowen was sitting on a dark corner in a dirty and noisy bar of the town. People around him were laughing, talking and shouting loudly without noticing him, but that was what he wanted. He was hoping that in such a place, he could find the missing pieces of this strange puzzle.
This bar was well know in the town as a good place to find any kind of information, as long as you knew what you were looking for and if you had money, that is. Rowen knew this and had wisely hidden his identity under a dark cloak.
After waiting for two hours, Rowen started to lose hope slightly and instead decided to enjoy his drink silently. He was almost finished and ready to leave when he heard something that caught his attention.
"I swear to give one thousand gold pieces to the person who will find me that man."
Rowen turned slightly on his seat, trying not to look like he was moving because of the man, for it was a man's voice, and saw the man who had spoken a few seconds ago, sitting at another table not too far away from his own. He was tall, rather bulky, with bright green hair and dark, almost sly, snakelike eyes.
Looking closer, Rowen noticed that the man was holding a picture in his hand. It looked like a handmade picture of someone, but Rowen couldn't see who it was from his spot. He decided to see and try his luck. Maybe this was what he was waiting for!
Getting up slowly, Rowen took his half-empty drink in his hand and made his way to the green-haired man.
"Excuse me, but I heard what you said and it caught my attention. Would you care to share your problem with me, maybe I can help you?"
The green-haired man turned sharp eyes on him and Rowen had to fight hard with himself not to squirm under the man's scrutiny. Then the man smiled tly tly and nodded.
"Sure, my friend. Here, have a seat."
Rowen thanked him and sat down. The green-haired man let out a sigh, of relief or despair, Rowen didn't know. Then he pushed the picture toward Rowen.
"I'm looking for that man. The son of a bitch stole some very important stuff and I need to get it back. Can you help me?"
Rowen just took the picture, almost choking on his drink as he did. On the paper was a clear picture of Dais. There was no mistaking the white hair and piercing blue eyes. It was enough proof for Rowen. Rowen quickly regained his composure though and put down his drink.
"Alright, I will help you. But do you know anything about that man that could help me?"
Dark eyes narrowed in anger and hidden shame at the thought of the white-haired man.
"Yes, I did some research before coming. For what I know, he is a thief and an illusionist. He uses some kind of trick or magic to deceive his prey and makes them believe anything he wants. He sells his service to whoever can pay him. I had the misfortune to be one of his victims some time ago and now I want revenge and what he has stolen from me back. I heard he was in this town so I came as quickly as I could."
"Ok. Just a thing, do you know if he works alone or with someone?"
"Now that you mention it, I remember seeing him once with a beautiful blonde. The blonde didn't look happy at all at the time."
"I see. I better leave now. By the way, do you want him dead or alive?"
Rowen said with an unreadable expression on his face. The green-haired man blinked at him, then smirked very slowly.
"Dead would be nice. After I get my stuff back, of course."
Rowen smirked back and got up.
"It's a deal then. I will contact you again later on about the job. Let's meet again here in a week ok?"
"Ok. By the way I'm Sekhmet."
"Touma."
Rowen lied and shook Sekhmet's hand. He didn't want to be discovered now by telling him his true name. Then Rowen left the bar, waving at Sekhmet as he left and ran back to the castle. He must warn Ryo before it was too late!
God only knows what that devil man that was Cale had in mind for Ryo. He needed to find him now and break whatever spell that damn blonde and his master had throw upon his friend before someone got hurt or worse.
Rowen ran as quickly as his feet could carry him, previous anger at Dais turning into cold fear for the life of his king.
/I just hope I won't be too late!/
