THE END OF THE FUTURE: THE RETURN OF THE PAST
Medea 15, 3005 ; 2400 hours ; CORPORATION Military Compound 09
inside the hidden military base of the neo empire of Japan a scientist and a military officer was seen heading down to level 09.
\"stop moving your making the motion censors go berserk,\"
\"Sorry doc, but going down these old buildings is giving me the creeps,\"
the scientist sighed knowing all to well what the soldier beside him was feeling.
Flash back
it has been six hundred years after the apocalypse, a very deadly biochemical that was accidentally released into the air-killing half of the world\'s population.
it took three hundred years for the world to recover and destroy the virus, but the years of recovery has not removed the wary feeling that the few remaining people have against sickness and war weapons. upon recognizing the people\'s fear the new government formed, proposed that for the next two hundred years all human baby should be produced through cloning, making sure that all child created are born immune and are genetically enhanced enough to survive the harsh living enviroments... thus LEVEL 09 was formed......

the doctor sighed for the second time,¡¦ it has been fifty years since the end of the cloning law every one thought that level 09 would have been closed...everyone was told it was...... but then you should never believe every thing you hear......\'
\"hey doc you Okay you seem a little stress out,\"
\"you know that would seem like an understatement soldier,\" he smiled before returning to his thoughts \'I thought all the madness would end upon the entrance of the new era but I was wrong, I am still here doing something that could very well lead to another apocalypse... (sigh) ... but what can he do, disobeying his orders could make him loose his life or worse yet his life.... but what he was doing could eliminate the whole of mankind and this time it\'ll be for good!\' suddenly the doctor laughed.....
\"hey doc there\'s something funny,\" the soldier asked irritated.
\"nothing kid, nothing...\" the doctor replied, stifling his laughter,¡¨ its just that I realized something really funny...\"
\"and what would that be,¡¨ the soldier asked before he could finish what he was saying
\"...I realized how ironic life is....\"the doctor replied continuing to laugh,
the soldier smiled not totally understanding the person beside him. \"hey doc why are going down to that closed LEVEL anyway?\" the soldier asked scratching his head.
\"nothing important really...\" just making sure the creation of the ultimate killer weapon is finished, the doctor thought.
\"oh you mean your one of those inspectors the higher ups are sending to make sure everything is in tip top shape and that nothings been missing,¡¨ the soldier replied smugly.
\"yeah that\'s me, so how many people have gone here any way,\"
\"quite a lot doc but this is only between you and me, Coz Sgt. Mitsui will fry my ass if he knew I told you,\" the private replied nervously.
the doctor chuckled,¡¨ don¡¦t worry Private this\'ll be between you and me. well it was nice talking to you but this is my floor and I have a feeling you won\'t be allowed here without an access code,¡¨ the doctor said replying.
\"well it was mighty nice meeting you, Doc\" the soldier replied with a smile.
the doctor waited for five minute before placing his access key into its designated lock and....
\"voice signature needed, pls. say name and purpose,\"
\"Kiminobu Kogure, head geneticist for project Apocalypse II,\"
\"Voice signature matches Personnel 567489, Doctor Kiminobu Kogure. You may enter.\" the automatic doors opened but not before giving Doctor Kogure a thorough gamma ray scan.
the doctor could only grimace in return before heading straight to the personnel lounge to change and get himself some coffee before going to work....
