AN: I’m really sorry. I didn’t know that my
grammer was that horrible. English isn’t my
first language, so you know. I used a dictionary,
but it seems that this doesn’t really help.
But I try my best. I hope you tell me if my
grammer sucked this time as much as it did the last
time. But it tried my best. I want to THANK everyone
that read my fic and even reviewed it!!!!

The next day:

“I have to what!!?”

Shuichi’s scream of indignation echoed through
the estate, leaving evreyone that heard it confused.

The boy couldn’t believe wat his father had told him,
who was quietly sitting in front of him, together with

Ukai – san.

Both of them just nodded.

Shuichi wasn’t just angry, bo, he was furious. His
face was red from anger and he just couldn’t calm down.

“Father, that’s impossible. Do you even know what
you expect me to do? Shall I just go over to the
emperor and say: Hey, let me be the bride of your
son, he seems to scare off everyone anyway. Yeah
right, very noble”

Shindou – san just shook his head and began to
massage his temple.

“Son, calm down, will you? You are giving me a
headache again” Shuichi’s father said.

But Shuichi didn’t even think about calming down.

“No father, I will not calm down. How would you feel
if you should be forced into, …into a marriage with
some bastard of prine just because said prince can’t
get someone himself?”

“Please, Shuichi, sit down and listen first, will you?”
Ukai – san said with far more patience thant Shindou – san.

Shuichi made a face and knelt down in front of his
father and Ukai – san, showing his displeasure clearly.

Meanwhile served Ryuichi Shindou – san a bottle
of sake, to calm the man down a bit. Shuichi’s father
reached immediately fot the bottle and poured himself
some of the liquid into a mug, taking a big gulp.

“See what you do to me? I’m becoming a drinker because
of you some day” Shindou – san said, taking yet another gulp.

Shuichi grunted. He didn’t care if his father was becoming
a drinker, he wouldn’t let himself be blamed for this too.

“Don’t be too harsh, dear friend. You’re just confusing
the boy” Ukai – san said as if to calm both of them down
a little.

“I won’t marry the stupid prince” Shuichi said, not able
to keep the words from coming out.

“A little more respect” Shindou – san grunted. “You’re
speaking of the next emperor young man”

The boy just frowned.

“If my manners are this bad then why should I marry
the prince? Can’t you find someone else, someone with
good manners, someone who is a woman?”

“Dear Shuichi, if it wouldn’t be that necessary, believe
me, we wouldn’t have decided it that way. But the
time is running short. If I don’t have a bridge till the
princes’ birthday I am dead man” Ukai said with worry
in his voice.

Shuichi swallowd. A dead man? Why would the emperor
be this cruel?

“And” Shuichi’s father said, “it’s time that you are
getting married too. You don’t know it, but I’ve tried
to get you engaged before, but you don’t have a
clue how difficult this is. With your loud behaviour
nobody wants you”

“That’s really nice. Thank you father” Shuichi grunted,
tears welling up in his eys.

“He didn’t mean it that way” Ukai – san said, looking
at Shuichi with pity in his eys.

“But your father is right. You have to get married
soon and the prince has to get married soon too.
And it’s not like if you actually have to marry him.
Just try to win his heart”

Shuichi frowned at Ukai – san’s words.

“If that’s everything” he said, “But what if I don’t
want to?”

“It’s already decided. You will travel with Ukai – san
to the palace tomorrow morning. I’ve already ordered
everything. I will send Ryuichi with you so that you
aren’t alone. He will take care of you. And if everything
goes wrong you can come back”

With this Shuichi’s father stood up, followed by Ukai – san,
and left the room.


At the second both of them were outside tears began
to fall down Shuichi’s cheeks.

Ryuichi went up to him and hugged him, stroking his
hair.

“Hey, Shu. It will be fine, you will see. You will see the
most wonderful gardens in the palace area, and
you will eat the most delicious meals, you will sleep
in the most comfortable beds and speak to the emperor.
And they said that you don’d have to marry the
prince. So you could say this will be a vacation.
Everything will be okay” the older boy said, but he couldn’t
really calm his friend down.

“Why does he want to get rid of me?” Shuichi asked,
new tears forming themselves in his eys.

“I don’t know” Ryuichi said, his voice thick with pity.

Shuichi looked out of the window, his eys already
swollen because of the crying. The beautiful country
could be seen outside while they traveled through
Japan.

Shuichi hadn’t even spoken to his father since he
told him that he had to go with Ukai – san.

Ryuichi, who sat next to him in the comfortable
carriage of Ukai – san, fascinated by the country,
yet it had been many years since he had seen
something different from the estate of Shuichi’s father.

“Look Shu, look at the mountains. Did you ever
see them from this perspective? Shu..”

As soon as Ryuichi saw the sad face of his young
master the words never were spoken.

“Shu?”

Shuichi hastily wiped his tears away and looked
at Ryuichi, who watched him with worry in his eys.

“It will be fine Shu” Ryuichi said, but Shuichi didn’t
believe him.

“You don’t have to be so sad” said Ukai – san now,
who was sitting across from Shuichi, looking at him with
concern.

“You will have your own rooms in the palace, many
of them, and you will eat with th emeperor. You really
don’t have to be afraid of anything. Yeah, prince Eiri is
a little bit, how should I put this ….. He is a little bit
unfriendly. But I think you will get along with him. It’s your nature after all. You are good with people.”


But Shuichi doubted Ukai – sans words. How
would the man know what was his nature?
He didn’t even know him, yet he took him with
him in a complete different world.

“Eeeiiiiiiirrrrrriiiiii!!! Dear brotheeerrrrrr!”

Eiri winced as he heard the loud voice of his brother,
which was followed by his annoying brother himself
as the younger prince went into his room.

“What do you want, you pest?” Eiri grunted, already
annoyed as hell. He got up from his table, wanting
to throw his brother out.

Tathsua, Japan’s prince number two, wore a nasty
grin on his face as he looked at his blonde brother.

“Fine, if you don’t want to hear what I heard just a
minute ago concerning you and some new found fiance,
then I will just leave.” Tathsua said, already knowig that
this had caught his brothers attention.

“Wait! What fiance?” Eiri growled.

But Tathsua was already on his way out of the door.

“Nah, you said I should leace and so…….”

“You are telling me what you know you little shit!” Eiri
said, keeping his voice calm but his eys showed his anger.

“Okay, okay. If you are asking this nice. I will tell you”
Tathsua said, not wanting to piss his brother off. That
was never a good thing to do.

Tathsua cleard his throat.

“I went through the hall when I heard the old man, our
beloved father, talk to someone about you. I, completely
unintentional of course, heard what they talked.”

“And what would that be?!”

“Yeah, yeah. Calm down will you. I am not finished. As
I said, I heard what they talked about. The one who
was talking to father, I think it was a messenger, said
that Ukai – san found another fiance for you, some child
of a rich man, and that they would be here someday, or so.
I didn’t hear everything, but they said something about a
boy. I think Ukai – san sends you a boy, or that was what
they said. Maybe he’s a servant for you, a present, or something
like that. I don’t know.”

With this Tathsua’s story ended, but Eiri’s anger only grew.

“I am going to talk to Thoma now. And you leave my room,
now” Eiri growled.

Thoma, the prince’s personal adviser, was not just very
worried about the situation, no, he was more than that.
This new fiance was yet another candidate who could
get between him and the prince. He had to do something
about this, like he had the other times.

“Majesty, do you really think that a boy is good for prince
Eiri?” Thoma asked, hoping to convince the emperor that
this wasn’t a good idea.

The old man sitting in the golden throne looked at him.

“No, I don’t think it’s a good idea. But what should I do?
I am old, you know, and I will probably die soon. He
refused to give just one of the many young ladies a chance,
maybe he won’t do this with a young man, or a boy, he is
still sixteen.”

Thoma didn’t want to give up.

“That’s the piont. Do you really want to entrust your son
to some child, some boy that isn’t even noble?”

“Enough Thoma. I know you just want the best for Eiri, but
you have to see that I have to try this. Maybe it will work.
And if it doesn’t we an send the boy home again.”

“But ..”

Thoma was interrupted when suddenly the doors flew open
and a messenger went in.

The man made a bow and then went over to the emperor.

“Majesty, Ukai – san and his guests are here now.”

The messenger said, always looking to the ground, never
seeing the emperor in the face.

“Fine. Bring them in” the old man said and ave the young
man in front of him a wink.

“Wow, Shu, look at this. Isn’t it wonderful”

Ryuichi seemed more than just excited about the palace,
and it was indeed really noble, but Shuichi couldn’t be happy
about all the pomp.

His thoughts wre still with his home in the mountains.

Ukai – san just smiled at the two, waiting for the messenger
that he had sent in to tell the emperor that they had arrived.

“You may come in now”

When said messenger came back to tell them that the had to
come in now, Ukai let the two boys into the hall were the emperor
was waiting for them.
Ryuichi, Shuichi and Ukai – san made deep bows in front of
the emperor and Shuichi felt immediately many eys on him.
Yeah, everyone had to know just why he was here.

“Majesty, I am bringing you here you son’s new fiance” Ukai – said.
The man never looked the emperor direct in the face. Maybe
it was some sigh of respect.

The old an grunted. The emperor stood up and went over to
Ukai – san, Shuichi and Ryuichi.

Shuichi felt that the noble man watched him carefully. From
the coners of his eys he could see a bonde man stare at him
much more than the others in the hall. He looked even a
little angry.

Shuichi swallowed. He didn’t want to have enemies.

“So I see. You, boy, stand up straight”

Shuichi didn’t really know if the emperor had spoken to
him, but he stood up anyway because of the fear that he
would make something stupid.

The old man in front of him looked at him with calm eys,
studying him exactly.

“What is your name?” The emperor’s voice was filled with
worry, but it was ot as if he was worrid about Shuichi. More
about himself.

“Shuichi Shindou” Shuichi said. He was nervous an afraid that
everyone could see that.

“Shuichi. That isn’t exactly a good name if you want to
become an empress. I doesn’t even sound like something
noble”

Shuichi wanted to tell the emperor that everything of this
wasn’t his idea, that he would be glad if he could go home,
but he han’t the courage to do so.

“Majesty, I think Shuichi will do the prince, Eiri, good. He
will cheer him up a bit” Ukai – san said as if to protect Shuichi
a little bit.

“You think so? Hm, I don’t. Eiri turned down every oung
and beautiful woman we have shown him, so why would he
open his heart for … for a boy?”

The emperor looked down at Shuichi and grunted, making
the boy more uncomfortable than he already was.

“Majesty, let me explane my plan. From the very moment
I saw Shuichi I was abrupt happy. You know, I was worried
sick because of the whole finace thing, but Shuichi amused
me that much that I forogt about it. He is the kind of person
that cheers people up. I don’t think prince Eiri will turn him
down, and if he does so we can’t say that we didn’t even try
it. “

After Ukai – san said this everyone in the hall began to whisper.
Apparently the plan was well received.

Thoma didn’t want to see this of course, the young boy that
Ukai – san had brought with him was thorn in his side.

“Majesty” Thoma went over to the emperor, looking at Shuichi
with eys full of hate.

“Prince Eiri turned every possible fiance down. He is against
the traditions that much that he didn’t even want so speak
with one of them. He hates the thought of getting married
to someone his father, or Ukai – san in that case, chose for
him.” Thoma said, hoping to convince the emperor that Shuichi
wasn’t able to win Eiri’s heart.

“That may be” Ukai – san said now, looking at Thoma with the
greatest hate in his eys, “But what if we let the prince believe
that we didn’t choose Shuichi, that he chose his fiance himself?”

The emperor looked at Ukai – san, so did Thoma, Shuichi
and Ryuichi.

“What do you mean?” the emperor said, suddenly seeming
very interested.

“I mean” Uai – san said, “that if the prince is so against the
tradition we make him believe that Shuichi isn’t someone
we chose for him. We could say that Shuichi is a new servant,
or maybe a young student. And Shuichi will try to win the prince’s
heart. I mean, if the prince refused to open his heart to a
princess or a young lady, then maybe he will open his heart
for someone as simple as a servant”

The emperor seemed to like the idea. Thoma, of course,
hated it.

“But do you really think, dear Ukai – san” Thoma said, “that
a partnerchip can exist when it’s build up on a lie?”

“Don’t be stupid Thoma” the emperor said with happiness
in his voice, something that was rare, “We will just make it
like Ukai – san said and Shuichi will play a servant.”

“But I don’t know what to do as servant” Shuichi suddenly
interrupted the emperor. He didn’t like the idea. He didn’t want to lie.

“You won’t have to do a servant’s work, silly boy. You just
act as if you are a servant in front of my son.” The eperor
said with anger in his voice.

“So it’s a deal?” Ukai – san said, just happy that the emperor
even listened to him instead of just killing him.

“Yeah. Oh, and Thoma, you will go and make sure that prince
Eiri won’t interrupt us in our preparation” the emperor said.
“I will take care of Shuichi myself and make sure that he
really acts like a servant. My son isn’t dump, he will know if
something is wrong”

Thoma smiled. He already had a plan that would make sure
that the young Shuichi was out of the palace by the next day.

“Of course” he said.

“Prince Eiri?” Thoma knocked at the door of one of the prince’s rooms.

When no answer came he just went into the room, seeing that
the prince sat at his able, reading like always.

“I wanted to talk to you so I waited here. I knew you would
come sooner or later” the prince said, not looking up from his book.

“Yeah” the adviser said.

“Why do you want to talk to me?”

When the prince heard this he stood up and went over to
Thoma, who was comfortable sitting in one of the large, silk seats.

“Don’t act as ifyou are dump Thoma. You know damn well
why I want to talk to you” Eiri grunted and sat across from
the older man.

“So you have heard about it?” Thoma asked, wanting to
know just how much the prince knew.

“Yeah. So who is she?” Eiri asked.

“She?” This surprised Thoma. So the prince knew very little.

“You mean the new fiance?”

“No, the cactus that had been given to me while I was in
Mexico this morning. Of course I mean the fucking fiance.”
Eiri growled.

Thoma smiled at him.

“I see. You don’thace to be so angry, she isn’t even here.”

“No?” Eiri asked in surprise.

“No. She just sent some of her servants with Ukai – san,
and a very special present.”

“A present? And what would that be?”

Thoma leaned forward to Eiri, smiling a nasty smile.

“It’s a boy. A whore if you want to know”

“A whore” Eiri stood up and went to the window, looking
into the darkness of the night.

“What does she think I am going to do with a whore? A
boy even”

Thoma stood up and went over to Eiri.

“I don’t know. I think she thought it would be nice”

Eiri grunted.

“Yeah, nice. She’s probably that ugly that she sent me
a boy so that I’m not turned on when she comes and
happy to get a slut like her after I watched the hairy legs
of that boy for a few days”

“Don’t be cruel Eiri. He’s pretty. You should go and see
him” Thoma said, glad that his plan worked.

“You will laugh but that’s just what I want to do now.”
Eiri said and made his way to the door.

“So, where can I find my new whore?”

“Maybe you ask Ukai – san. But don’t mention that he’s
a whore. I have the feeling that the poor guy doesn’t even know this.”

iri didn’t hear Thoma’s last words, but this wasn’t
necessary.

Thoma turned around and looked into the dark sky outside.

AN: I was told to be more descriptive and I would like to
do this, I tried, really. But in the end I didn’t come far
with the plot and sat all day long at the computer. But I will try.
